How To Find Woodland Mansions In Minecraft

In today’s video i’m gonna be showing you guys how to actually find the woodland mansions in minecraft now woodland mansions are one of the rare structures that you can actually find in minecraft they’re even rarer than mushroom biomes so let’s get into it so first of all they spawn in a dark oak

Forest biomes as you can see if we press f3 we are currently in the dark forest now these are what it looks like it spawns on many of these trees and rarely it will spawn a woodland mansion which are very tall and obvious to see so once you actually find one you will

Guaranteed see it but obviously these biomes are pretty hard to find and woodland mansions are even harder so how do you actually find these well the first thing that you can do in survival mode is just roam around your world until you find this biome and then search around now this is best

Within elytra since you go a lot faster that way and you can just quickly see if it is there by just going on top of all the trees without having to actually build up or just look around the next thing that you could actually do is trade with the villagers

No it may sound weird but you can actually get this woodland explorer map which actually indicates where a woodland mansion is now these are insanely useful because you can actually find woodland mansions extremely easily by just following the map so first you’re gonna want a villager

So you’re either gonna have to find a village or just have your own villager then what you’re gonna do is grab a cartography table to craft the cartography table you’re gonna need four oak planks and two paper just like so or you could just find it within a

Village but once you have done that switch a villager’s profession to that by either breaking their current profession or find the villager that is professionalist then place this down next to them and start trading now on bedrock edition is not a guaranteed trade so you might have to do

This multiple times but for java edition it is pretty guaranteed so if we keep on trading with him just like so and upgrade him as you can see he will actually upgrade to another map now you’re gonna actually want to get him to his third trade

So you’re gonna want to trade with him two times and then the last time he will have the map so as you can see right now he has the ocean explorer map so if we keep on trading with him just like so he will actually give us the woodland explorer map

And as you can see the woodland explorer map is right here for 12 emeralds and a compass and we can obviously trade that in and we get this map which tells us where it is and this will locate the closest one to you so don’t buy multiple or open it up in

The same area so once you buy it go far away and then open it up but that is if you are a explorer the one closest to you so once you actually have done that all you’re going to want to do is follow the map now maps are kind of weird to follow

But i can explain it to you as best as possible now as you can see the current position on my map is i’m in the top right corner and my dot is small that means i am far away from it and if i move in a direction i will either not

Move or i will actually go up or down so as you can see this way i go up and this way i go down so i’m going to either want to move to the right or the left so i’ll go to the right now i want to just keep on going in this

Direction until my dock gets bigger or it actually starts to load in anything now obviously that may take a while but it should be fairly quick since it’s picking the one closest to you so just choose one direction and hope it is in that way

So this way was not it because my dot was not making any movement or getting any bigger so you’re just gonna want to have to go the other way but obviously adventure for quite a bit of blocks since it may be far from you since these are very rare structures so

As you can see if i move along here my dot just got a lot bigger that means i was going in the right direction so i just keep on moving forward and as you can see it will either get bigger or start loading up the map but you’re

Basically just waiting until it gets bigger that means you’re going in the right direction so keep on going there and we will go to it and while you’re doing this you can actually line it up by going in a diagonal direction to line it up where the mansion actually is which is

Represented by that house so i can go in a diagonal way until i actually line my dot up with the house so we just keep on going that way and then we can go straight and as you can see we can already see the dark oak forest biome

So and now it’s loading in the map as well and we can see the mansion right over here and that’s how to find it by using a map which is pretty easy but the other ways to find it is actually going through creative mode which you can do slash locate

And then type in mansion now that’s if you just want to find the mansion in creative mode to just play around with it but that is another way of doing it And that is basically all the ways to actually locate a mansion but why would you actually want to go in a mansion well there are many reasons why mansions can actually supply you with a ton of emeralds totems diamonds and enchanted golden apples it also provides rare stuff like discs

Armor and enchanted books which are very useful and these can actually be used as houses since they provide a ton of space and storage and this is just a pretty big mansion that all you have to do is basically light it up and you’re good so once you actually light the whole

Place up which will be easier in 1.18 since they’re changing mod spawning if you haven’t already checked out that video i recommend that you do so because it explains a lot about it but as you can see this is just a pretty cool place to live and to gather loot at

Now obviously only some places have loot like this bedroom it has a chest at the top and there are many other places and there’s also loot behind this place right over here and these obviously give you some good stuff as you can see i found a diamond chess play a name tag
