Today i’ll be showing you how to import and export your minecraft worlds on any android device now this tutorial is mainly for the new versions of minecraft in which they have changed this file storage location and my previous tutorial still works on the older android devices and the older versions of minecraft Prior to the new updates in which they’ve changed the file storage location now i will show you that my minecraft is completely wiped and there’s nothing in here but hypothetically if you did have worlds chances are that they’re gonna be in this application tab so i’m just gonna Create a world here so i can demonstrate later on that they will not show up in the my files application under the directory which i will show you so let’s just create this world and then i’m just going to save and quit so let’s say that you have worlds in here When you click play you have a world you can’t back that up because it was created under the application rather than the external tab so what i mean by that is that this world if you go into settings and profile you scroll down until you see file storage location If this is set to application you cannot access those worlds in the my files application or es file explorer or whatever other file explorer you’re using you cannot access those worlds because they’re stored within the application and you can only get to those worlds if you have a rooted device Now there is a little bit of a leeway here if you do select external click allow and then click ok your world will disappear it’s not deleted it will just disappear until you go back until you to select your application again and then your world will reappear So you can’t back that world up unless it’s under the external so we’ll go to external here and if you want to import your worlds too you have to click on external so click ok on that prompt and then go over here to external now once you get over here you’re going to Need to create a new world now i’m just going to label this external and just wait for this to click proceed and wait for it to create the world and now i’m just going to save and quit then i’ll show you that this world is right here in in my external storage location Now i will show you when you go back over here to application that world will disappear and the application world will reappear so let me just re-label this as application so therefore when you want to import or export a world your profile go into settings profile your file storage Location must be set to external click ok and i’ll show you that that external world this world right here shows up in the my files directory which i will show you right now so go into your file explorer go into internal storage now the pr previous uh Location used to be under games here but there is no games folder so they’ve changed it into android data con.mojang.minecraft.pe files games com.mojang minecraftworlds and there’s your world so it is it’s not labeled correctly but once you click on that and then click on levelname.txt there’s the file name external which is Also the world name but that other world application does not show up here because it’s within it’s deeper into the application in which you cannot access without a root so when you go back here it is in the minecraft worlds now i will go all the way back and import one of my Worlds that i have backed up for the demonstration of this video i’ll just select the world go all the way back and the director is in internal storage android data conduct mojang minecraft pe files games minecraft world and i will copy that world into this folder and then i’ll Close out of both applications and then reopen the minecraft app so click play click ok and there’s my world statues skin builds when i click on that this will pop up because that world was created on a very old version of minecraft and now i have to update the world so i Can play so click on update and play it will create a backup copy click proceed and then the world will load now there you go this world was my imported world and now i will show you that there’s also a copy right here which you cannot play unless you update it which Will just create this so i will just go ahead and delete this right now but there are my two worlds now that imported world will not show up if this is selected on application my application world will show up so and then this application world will not Show up when i select external so your worlds are not deleted it’ll it’s just merely disappeared so you can access it through different storage locations but when it’s on application you cannot as i said back that up you can only back it up and import worlds under the external tab so that is Pretty much it for this video if you have any comments questions or concerns please leave them in the comments section below thank you all for watching and i’ll see y’all next time You Video Information

If the world does not appear in Minecraft, the issue is because when the world is put in the folder, it’s a double folder. Basically, go into your world folder and if there is a folder inside that world folder that has a similar name, then cut that folder out and paste into folder shown in video. If this still does not work, then it’s probably because you’re trying to import a world that only works on PC, Xbox, and Playstation which are NOT compatible with Android and iOS worlds. So ensure that the site you got the world from says “MCPE”, “Pocket Edition”, “PE”, or “iOS & Android”. Only iOS and Android worlds are interchangeable.
The new location Minecraft stores the worlds in is followed by the order below:
1. Internal Storage 2. Android 3. Data 4. com.mojang.minecraftpe 5. Files 6. Games 7. com.mojang 8. MinecraftWorlds
