For example, if you’re looking to add something like teleportation, data packs Are going to be your way to go since it allows for many custom features in your world. Whether you play on vanilla or use mods, any 1.13 and above server can support these packs. It’s a great way to customize your map, And it allows players to enjoy an enhanced version of Minecraft Installing data packs for the first time can be a little bit confusing. so let’s go over how to do it together. First head towards vanilla tweaks, which will be linked Down below, and select the data pack that you want installed. Once everything is selected, press the downwards arrow and click direct download. After that, drag the zipped file onto your desktop or somewhere easily accessible like a separate folder Because we will need them again in just a minute. Make sure you don’t unzip any of the packs, and if for some reason the packs aren’t already zipped, make sure to compress them into a zip file yourself before moving on. Head to your Apex Server panel and stop the server, and afterwards you can click on FTP file access in the top left corner and log in. On the next page, enter into your worlds directory and then you can press The datapacks folder in the top left. Click upload, and on the next page, drag the zipped files into upload. Wait for them to reach 100%, and then you can press back to view what you uploaded. Checkmark any of the zipped files And press unzip in the top right corner. Press submit and then wait until you see “done returned, OK” in the message in the console and then you can head back to the main server panel and click restart so that the data packs can load fully. As for commands that can help you manage your new packs, /datapack enable will enable a desired pack into the world, /datapack disable will disable the targeted pack for your world and /datapack list shows a list of all of the data packs on the server, whether they’re enabled or disabled. In some cases, your world will not generate a datapacks folder or it might just not have one if it’s an uploaded or custom map. To fix that, just enter into your world’s directory and then press the new folder in the top left corner. You can name it datapacks and then click submit. Afterwards, you can continue to upload the files normally into that new folder. If your data packs aren’t working, double check to see if your data packs are zipped or not, because they have to be zipped first in order to properly load. If your data packs were zipped before uploading, then try using the /datapack ena file name command in the console to manually start it up. Spicing up your Minecraft experience with data packs leads to many fun and useful features in the world. Combining tons of packs together can truly build a custom server that your friends can enjoy without having to install or set up anything themselves like you would have to do with mods. Data packs can be found all over the internet. But make sure you find credible ones to use on your world to protect yourself from anything that can harm your server. That being said, be safe and as always, have lots of fun. Thanks for watching. If you want to see more great content like this, then subscribe, or click these videos. Until next time, Gamers.
