You’ll get an empty map take the empty map put it in your hand and right click the map will be drawn in an area around you and you’ll notice it’s mostly filled out but that’s because it’s rather zoomed in find yourself a cartography table open it up and put your map

Inside we can do a couple of different things here if you put your paper here you’ll notice we can actually make the make the map bigger grab it put it back in your hands and you’ll see now that there’s a lot more area to explore we can do this a number of times

By putting the map back and expanding it yet again finally if you’d like to copy a map you’ve already made go ahead and make yourself a new empty map open up your cartography table put your first map here your next map underneath and now you’ll get two identical
