How to Make a Minecraft Animation (Free Program)

Show you guys how you can begin to animate or if you know you were interested in learning uh then this is the program for you and I just wanted to show you guys this is not in any way a sponsor or anything like that I found this program myself and I just thought

It was pretty amazing it’s an excellent substitute for say Cinema 4D or Maya I mean in no way is it up to par to those extremely Advanced programs but this is Minecraft animation so it’s not too advanced in the first place what this program basically allows you to do is

Easily edit and create your own animations all within this program you don’t need any extra textures you don’t need to go download anything Minecraft any rigs or anything like that and um let’s just go ahead and click new project what I’m going to do is create a

New project here I just I’ll call it new project and I kind of just wanted to uh show you guys a little bit around the program and the uh features it offers so like up here you can click this little crafting workbench and everything’s great there’s there’s pictures for

Everything it’s it’s it feels like Cinema 4D a little bit I use that I’ll have you guys know that I have animated before in the past and you may have seen my animations I’ve released a little while ago they weren’t really anything special but I thought animation was fun

And I took the time to learn it and what it’s all about and stuff so I’m not too advanced with animation I probably couldn’t create a lot of stuff it takes a lot of time and a lot of rendering power but the best thing about this program is that it does render pretty

Fast so I know you guys are wanting me to jump into it so let’s go ahead and get started here this is everything that you can create up here in the menu uh you can create a player or a mob by simply clicking that button there you

Can cycle through and pick any mob that Minecraft has let’s just pick a pig there’s Jeffrey you can create them and then bam he’s right there you can click and rotate him however you would like you could use these X Y and Z axes to uh

Put them wherever you want and the great thing about this as well is you can just click on the background go to background you can change the sun texture the time of day you can make it night time you could uh rotate the Sun as you can see

The lighting on the pig there is changing also uh the sun is in the sky somewhere I’m not sure where exactly it is let’s see if I can get it behind the pig here if I change there we go so if I change the time and then wrote it’s very

Cool this is very awesome that there’s a whole user interface based around just Minecraft and then basically if you scroll down here a little bit you’ll see that you can turn clouds on and off you can even change the cloud texture right there you can show your own custom Sky

Image there’s really just so much customization you can even change the ground block like this is insane I just pick the block here from any of these pictures I can even make it fire if I want I can make this pig standing in lava and then look watch he’s gonna sink

He’s just sinking right now and he’s gone Jeffrey’s gone uh no but yeah he’s back he’s right here he’s not he’s not really dead you guys uh but yeah basically you can uh keyframe this pig however you want if I do want him to sink I can simply go to frame 15. and

Then uh scroll him down just like that it automatically creates a keyframe now when I press play he just syncs you know that was really basic there’s obviously no animation to that but uh as you can see it is very simple it’s user really user friendly uh but yeah anyways I’m actually gonna

Change my ground because I don’t want it to be Lava anymore um I’m probably going to change it back to grass but yeah uh so other than the pig let’s go ahead and close out of there sorry guys I’m working on 720p here so it’s a little crampy on your

Computer it’ll probably be less crampy uh but this is just for the video so uh let’s go into the player and mobs section again and let’s choose human what’s really cool about this is you can go down here to skin and then you can click download from Minecraft user so if

You wanted my skin to be on this mob just type in trumu and then click get skin and then boom uh there’s my skin right there I’m in my Christmas skin right now so it even got that it’s it’s super cool and then you just click

Create and then there you have it it’s uh just me and Jeffrey right here I’m gonna level out Jeffrey a little bit scoot them over and then yeah it’s very simple you can left click to rotate this camera here you can right click to kind of it’s a little bit different than 3D

Programs you right click and hold to uh look at what you want and then you can zoom out with the mouse wheel it’s all very user friendly and super easy to just jump into the program and just get started with it it’s it’s actually quite amazing and you know the best part about

This program is that it’s free but at the same time if you do decide to donate to the program uh like a dollar you can donate any amount and you will get the full version and the serial key and all that there’s just so much to look at

Here and like like I said if you go back over here to the project properties you can change almost anything we even got the sky color here you guys the sky we also got the sun light color you can have it give off a different color if you want

Um also if you did want to change the lighting for a scene you can go ahead and add a light just like this or a spotlight whatever you wish and then you click create and then uh it’s very simple from there you drag the light

Where you want it in the scene and then there you go it’s uh it’s basically Cinema 4D at this point just everything is at your fingertips rather than you having to go to the internet and download it because that’s pretty lame uh but also you can click render and

High quality this is my favorite feature about this program you can view what your scene will look like live just like this look I’m rotating and everything there’s Shadows all that if I move this lighting you’ll be able to really tell how the Shadows are going to look it’s

Just all very cool it’s quick it’s Snappy you don’t need an amazing computer to control this program and you can even change the FPS all that stuff I mean there’s just so much to talk about this sorry guys I know you want to see some animation stuff so I’m just going

To go ahead and show you some other things that you can do you can throw in a chest this is very cool because all these items that it provides you can actually just click wherever you want on the item and then rotate it from there and it really does interact the way the

Item does in Minecraft look at that I can open the chest and that’s just amazing you can also put in like a large chest a lever uh sticky pistons you can do anything Minecraft has here you can also add shapes uh if I want to add a

Circle for some reason I I can do that so you’re not only limited to Minecraft uh objects you can actually create 3D objects here in a real live 3D space that’s being rendered live so that’s pretty cool and that’s something not even 3D programs can do or at least to

My knowledge working with Cinema 4D you can also add things like text which is amazing uh it that’s super cool because maybe you don’t know how to edit text in a program you can do so in your animation there you go look at that that’s the text right there and then um

So yeah I mean you could do a lot of Advanced things I don’t want to get too too much into it you guys should definitely download this feel free to explore it yourself you can even add random things just things you wouldn’t even think of like a zombie torso in

Case you know you want to blow up a zombie and then maybe his limbs fly everywhere I don’t know you can even add background music I mean there’s just endless amount of things you could do just let your imagination run free but I gotta tell you if you want to start

Creating animations definitely start with this program because it’s free um and it’s easy to work with and there’s pictures and all that stuff uh but I bet you guys want to see an animation right I told you I was going to show you some animation it’s been a

Little bit into the video so um I guess I can go ahead and show this you can also change your render settings all that stuff render the movie the best part about this is that it renders super fast so I’m gonna go ahead and close out

Of this I’m not gonna save it I didn’t do anything I got this animation called whoa okay uh I don’t know why I called it whoa all it is is just a it a chicken kind of looking and then he explodes I don’t know why I had I added an

Explosion but I do want to show you guys how cool the particle effects are real quick before I show you my actual animation so uh yeah if you go to particle Creator you can create anything from just a default spawner to an explosion to a fountain of cakes which

By the way is amazing because physics are involved with that you can create fire rain smoke snow any kind of particles that are in Minecraft but let’s go ahead and do this Fountain of cakes because that is very cool and you guys just have to see this look at that

I just put a fountain of cakes particle machine just on the ground and it’s shooting Out Cakes they’re bouncing off the ground and all that it’s super cool and it’s kind of just fun to watch and mess around with but yeah as you can see all the animation everything stays the

Same how I wanted it the chicken turns his head and then explodes uh there’s just a fountain of cakes behind them now and uh the way you know animation works the key to anime mission is moving every single part of your character at all times in every frame possible move as

Many limbs as many facial features as possible and you have yourself a Pixar Animation that’s just how it works but it is much harder than that and it is very time consuming so Props to all those animators out there creating amazing animation it is very hard like I

Said uh this is great for beginners and um it’s it’s easy to get started with animation with this program because it’s just it makes everything simple it feels like so um right here I have my true moo and this is an actual animation here this is something I worked on for about

Like 30 minutes and this is this is the result here I mean it’s nothing special but TruMoo does explode there and then he gets thrown back and then he hits the ground and slides a little bit um now you can see this a little better

From my camera angle that I have on here I think yeah I got a camera um I’m not sure actually how to activate the camera here let me see if I can okay there we go I found that uh the secondary view is up here that’s that’s

My camera view I believe this is where I place my camera and you could do so much with cameras just like you can in real 3D programs uh but on here you can adjust the field of view which is very nice uh and you can also adjust the if

It has depth of field or not which is pretty cool um so I’m gonna click that up there and uh this is my camera view down in the bottom right I can also turn on high quality mode which will show me the shadows and all that so if I press play

Boom that’s pretty cool and as you can see it did adjust the field of view there um right there in the beginning of the animation and that was because I actually uh changed it live just a second ago and then I didn’t mean to but

It did keyframe uh that change and uh as a result uh you can see that in the camera view so um but it’s still pretty cool TruMoo walks forward um let’s zoom in a little bit and take a look at those keyframes and what I did

So uh down here is where you can control uh all of your body parts and it is pretty simple this program makes it really easy uh to keyframe because uh as you can see I’ve got his leg right here going backwards his leg here going

Forward and as a result uh his arms need to be opposite because that’s how humans walk so as you can see the back leg comes forward his arm on that same side will go backwards and then vice versa for each side and then that’s how a

Human walks and then uh once he stops I have that particle explosion go off right then and then as you can see he will fly away I’m still getting used to these controls it’s a little weird because when you click on the timeline and then you use your mouse wheel it’ll

Zoom in and out but then you got to click over here if you want to zoom out as well on the scene so uh yeah as you can see boom explodes flies back and then um when true moves him into air I still do keyframe aim his legs his arms

All that stuff because that is very important to uh like I said move every part of your character you can possible obviously I only spent like 20 to 30 minutes on this so it’s not that amazing but it’s still pretty cool it’s it’s awesome that I started with nothing it

Was very easy to have my Minecraft background my son anything I want um just it’s just a click away so yeah guys that is pretty much it for this uh video it was a little bit different but I hope that it helped you uh if you want to download the program yourself go
