So you want to make a Minecraft server in 1.19.3 well welcome to the ultimate guide on how to do exactly that we’re going to take you through every single step of creating a Minecraft server that you can play with with your friends now one thing that’s worth noting is that This is a long video as you can see for this video you’re gonna have to port forward you’re also going to need a decent computer because not only are you going to need to be able to run Minecraft you’re also going to have to run a Minecraft server which is Relatively resource intensive on top of all of that you’re gonna need a good internet connection because your server is connecting to the internet and all of your friends who are playing on the server are connecting back to you last but not least this is not meant to be a Public server this is only meant to be for your friends your family people that you trust because this is hosted on your own IP address your own network connection so not only does that need to be a good network connection it also means that anyone who gets this IP Address can do things like DDOS you as well as figure out where you live down to your latitude and longitude coordinates so what if you want a server where you don’t have to worry about the hardware say you have a bad computer but you want to host a server anyway what if You want a server where you don’t have to worry about the security of it it’s not hosted on your IP address it’s hosted somewhere else what if you want a server that you can make public or private the choice is up to you well in that case you want a server with someone Like Apex Minecraft hosting who happens to be the sponsor of this video at Apex Minecraft hosting which you can check out the first link down below the breakdown.xyz slash Apex you can get a server up and running in under five minutes do you see how long this video Is at Apex you have your server up and running in under five minutes they have over 15 locations around the world that you can host your server at and on top of all that they have one click installation of modpacks mods and plugins so if you want plugins they’ve Got you if you want mods they’ve got you if you want mod packs they’ve got you they have 24 hours seven day a week support so should you have an issue with your server you can reach out to them and they will help you out in real time With a real person and of course we do love and Trust Apex so much so we host all of our Minecraft servers on them the method we’re showing in this video is hosting on your own computer I host all my servers on apex because it’s just Much much easier so again if you want to start your own server look no further than Apex Minecraft hosting at the first link down below the breakdown.xyz slash Apex to get a server that’s public or private that choice is up to you that uses their Hardware not yours meaning You can have a bad computer and as long as you can join a server like Hypixel you can join your server on apex Minecraft hosting and a server where they take care of all the network security stuff meaning you’re safe while you’re playing on your server again That’s the first link down below the breakdown.xyz slash Apex nevertheless what if you don’t want to get an apex server what if you do want to host a server on your own computer let’s jump on into it the first thing you want to do is go to the second link in the Description down below that’s going to take you here this is our in-depth text tutorial for getting a Minecraft server it covers everything like I said super in-depth so if you do want to go through starting your server at your own pace you can do so using this tutorial or if You want to use this tutorial and this video kind of in conjunction with each other you can do that but once you’re here clicking the downloaded Minecraft button to be taken to where you can download the official server.jar for Minecraft 1.19.3 this is minecraft.net the official website of Minecraft so Once you hear go ahead and click on this Minecraft underscore server.1.19 dot three dot jar so click on that and the download the bottom left will begin now you may need to keep this in the bottom left of Google Chrome or save it in the server screen on Mozilla Firefox That’s 100 safe to do because this is minecraft.net it’s Mojang’s official website for Minecraft so you’re safe to download from here no matter what but at this point we go ahead and minimize our browser first things first we want to right click on our desktop create a new Folder and we can title this whatever we want but I’m going to title it 1.19.3 Minecraft server because well that’s what it is it’s a 1.19.3 Minecraft server then we want to go ahead and find that server.jar file we downloaded for me that’s going to be in the downloads Folder so you can click the little Windows icon top that to my screen bottom of your screen or bottom server screen on Windows 11. and in most cases you can type in downloads and you have a downloads folder here except I don’t so I have to click on file explorer and Then scroll down under this PC on the left hand side so you might have to click this drop down to open this up and then click on downloads and here is the server.jar we want to drag this to our desktop then we want to drag and drop this into the Minecraft 1.19.3 but Folder that we created for your server from there double click on this server.jar now for some of you this will work like it’s going to work for me it’s going to generate these files for others of you double clicking the server.jar just kind of won’t do anything so if it Doesn’t generate these files what do you do well in that case you want to go ahead and download and install Java 17. Java 17 is required it’s not optional it’s required to run a Minecraft server it’s also required for most Minecraft mods so with that being said you want to Come through go through this in-depth tutorial it looks like a lot but it’s actually just a few simple steps get Java downloaded installed and set up on your computer we’ve got a video we’ve got a text guide with that you should be able to open up the server.jar but for Some of you you’ll still need to run the jar fix and this is going to take all the jar files including that server.jar on your computer and Link them back to Java making them work happily together and then once you’ve done that you’ll finally be able to go ahead and run the Server.jar by double clicking on it once you’ve done that you’ll get all these files here now the email a.txt file is the only one to start off with so go ahead and open that up in note pad and then assuming you greeted the Minecraft Ula here we can change Eula equals false To Eula equals true t-r-u-e exactly like that then click file save and then now the Euler has changed it’s updated we agree to the EULA and we changed it to True showing that now if we double click on the server.jar here it’s going to go ahead and open up and start our Minecraft server at this point you can join your server I’m going to show you how to do that but note that right now your friends cannot join your server we’re gonna have to do some more stuff later on in order to do that but let’s Go ahead and make sure that you can join and make sure that the server is running and all of that stuff so to do that we want to open up Minecraft 1.19.3 alongside our server so quick jump cut too heavy Minecraft 1.19.3 open where we want to go into multiplayer if you get This sort of warning go ahead and click proceed and then you can join your server using the IP address with Direct Connect here localhost you’re the only person that can join your server this way but it’s a good way to test your server and if you don’t want anyone else To join your server you can just join your server like this and use it kind of as a test server offline or something like that that’s perfectly fine and just doing it using localhost as the IP when we click join server boom there we go it Locks this on in you can see right there it is and we are now in this Minecraft server however if you want your friends to join things are a little bit more complicated than this but before we do that let’s go ahead and op ourselves on This Server this is a great way to be able to give yourself permissions and ban people and all that stuff you need to be opted so to do that come over here to the left hand side and type up and then your username right like so so boom There we go and now we can do things in game like slash game mode creative right so you can delete stuff all that stuff can be done now and um yeah let’s go ahead and place down some diamond blocks that way we know when we get back into This server later on that it is the same server we’re not doing any trickery or anything like that so there we go we have our little Diamond area now we need to stop the server to port forward and allow our friends to join right to do That you want to come over here and type stop in the server so stlp right like so and then click enter if you don’t stop the server like that it’s not going to stop correctly and sometimes it’ll be kind of open in the background without being open and you have to restart your Computer to fix that it can lag your computer all sorts of stuff so make sure you stop your server using that method now this case though we can go ahead and just close out of Minecraft it’s time to pour forward so to do that let’s go Ahead and open up our server folder here right like so we’ve opened up our server folder and then once we’re in our server folder what we want to do is copy our ipv4 address into the server.properties here which you’ll need to open with notepad now in order to get your ipv4 Address what we want to do is go ahead and open up the CMD so to do that click the little Windows icon top up to my screen bottom left of your screen center of your screen on Windows 11. type in CMD you have this command prompt here Open this up and then in command prompt what we want to do is type ipconfig ipconfig exactly like that and hit enter this gives us a ton of information but all we need here is two things the first thing is our ipv4 address which I’ve already mentioned and the default Gateway so I’m gonna go ahead and open up a new notepad document and in here we’re going to type these down so ipv4 which is 192.168.1.12 and then our default gateway which is going to be 192.168.1.1 now yours is probably completely different from mine and that’s okay one thing that is worth Noting though you might have two numbers for your default gateway one that’s numbers and letters and one that’s just numbers if that’s the case we want the one that’s just number so 192.168.1.1 that sort of format just numbers if it has numbers and letters that’s not the correct one so just skip Over that one by the way the default gateway usually would be the first ones on the first line the second one’s on the second line with kind of a blank space over here to the left so nevertheless that’s how you can get those numbers now like I said we want to Come back into our Minecraft server folder here open up the server.properties file and find the server Dash IP equals we do want to copy in the ipv4 address over here and paste it next to server Dash IP equals right like so go ahead and click file save and Now we can close out of the server directory it’s time to port forward to do this you to open up your browser right like so and then you want to create a brand new tab in your browser then up here at the top where you would type in rkt.us to breakdown.xyz anything Like that where you would type in a domain name you want to actually type in your default gateway so for us that’s 192.168.1.1 right then hit enter and this is going to open up a login box of some sort now mine just pops in from the Top yours may be in a nice GUI it might be in you know any sort of things might be on the left side of the screen it might be a pop-up in the center screen bottom of your screen most likely it’s going to be some sort of a login box Here what do you enter in let your router’s username and password now in order to find your router username and password if you don’t know it already you’re probably going to need to use this article this gives you five different methods for finding your router’s username and password most People find it by method three some by Method 4 and everyone unfortunately by Method five but most people don’t have to contact their ISP from what I’ve seen you should buy method for you’re good to go but with that you’ll be able to come over here and log into your router like I’m about to do there we go now once I’ve logged into my router it’s probably going to look completely different from your router and I know that can be a bit overwhelming and I’m going to be giving you the terms and things to look for in Your router but we also have this it’s a complete guide on port forwarding up here at the top specifically we have a video that goes through all the most popular routers that are out there today and even if your router isn’t mentioned in that video guess what you should Probably go watch it because it covers a lot of the most popular routers and you’d be surprised that like ATT routers look a whole lot like Cisco routers and so on and so forth so even if your specific router isn’t mentioned it here go check this out because it’s probably Going to find something that looks like your router it’s going to look familiar you’re going to learn the terms you’re going to learn everything as you watch that video but nevertheless we can come back over here to my router and for me it is in advanced then it is in advanced Again and then finally it is in port forwarding slash Port triggering now for you it may be in security it may be in apps in gaming it might be in port forwarding slash Port triggering like it is for me it’ll be in that forwarding Nat forwarding it might be in a port Triggering it might be in single port forwarding it might be in Port triggering or Port range forwarding it it could also be like I said apps and gaming or app forwarding that’s another very popular one and it’s usually going to be an advanced an Administration or a Security tab but nevertheless as you can see I already have a port forward here for a Minecraft server I’m going to delete that because we need to create a new port forward so in order to add a new port forward it’s probably going to be one of two things for you you’re Going to either have to add a port forward like add a custom service add forwarding plus hit a plus icon or you’re just gonna have a big list of basically blank boxes and you just want to enter in the first box this so for server name or ID it’s going to be Minecraft this is just identifying what the port forward is for it doesn’t matter what’s here just something you know like oh that’s the Minecraft port for protocol you want to do TCP slash UDP UDP slash TCP or select the both option no matter what you want to make Sure both of these is selected and if for whatever reason you can’t do both just do this twice once for TCP and once for UDP leaving everything else the same now for anything mentioning the word Port Port Port 1 Port 2 external Port internal Port outside Port inside Port First Port second Port doesn’t matter what it is if it has the word port p-o-r-t on it which as you can see external Port we want to go ahead and enter in two five five six five then as you can see we have the internal ports Guess what it has the word port on it so 25565 for your internal IP address or your IP or your inside IP or your local IP this could be a number of different things this is actually going to be the ipv4 address that we found earlier so in our case 192.168.1.12. now we can also select this from our list as you can see right here it is that works just the same as well and you may only have have that option of selecting the device from the list if that’s the case just select the device that you’re making your Minecraft Server on at this point though we can go ahead and click apply and it will save the port forward for you let me save it might be confirmed whatever it is just make sure that you save the port forward and the hard part’s done that’s the hardest part of making a Minecraft Server and allowing your friends to join it is finishing this port forward once you’ve done that we can get our public IP address which you can find in the description down below at this link this is your public IP address and this is what your friends will use to join your Server now for me all you can see is the 0.177 at the end you can also see the country the region the city and the latitude and longitude coordinates that’s why it’s so important that this is only for your friends your family people you trust if you want a public Server you don’t have to worry about DDOS or anything like that that’s where Apex Minecraft hosting comes in which you can access by clicking that ad there but nonetheless let’s go ahead and click on our IP address when you do that it should automatically copy it and you may Need this in your port forward if you had the external IP or outside IP you could use use that there but I’ve really not seen that outside of business class routers but it is worth mentioning that that’s the public IP address there if you do need it now we go ahead and Minimize our browser and we want to open up our server so let’s start our server.jar we’ll also want to go ahead and open up Minecraft 1.19.3 because we want to join our server via the public IP address and again that’s how your friends are going to join your friends Have to join using the public IP they they have no other option but with Minecraft 1.19.3 open we can go into multiplayer we can again click proceed and then click direct connection now what we want to do is go ahead and paste in our public IP again all you can see Is one seven seven here but if we click join server boom it joins in on the left hand side there’s also some white out over there some some of this is blocked out because of public IP also shows in the console but there’s the diamond blocks we placed we’re also still in Creative showing that things are working as they should at this point your server is started your friends can join it all of that stuff you are good to go however if you do have any questions or have any issues we do have some resources for you first things first is in the description Down below we do have a guide on Windows Defender and the reason we have a guide on fixing your firewall was Windows Defender is because most likely if your friends can’t join your server or you can’t join via your public IP address it’s probably this it’s probably Windows Defender and it’s especially this if you can join via your public IP but your friends can even if that’s not the case though this is most likely the first place you want to look if you’re having issues with your friends joining we also have a guide on how to add more RAM to Your server if for whatever reason your server is lagging adding more RAM can be a good solution to fixing that and that’s what this guide right here goes over we also have this which is the Epic 21 minute video where all we do is go through and fix Minecraft server issues So super in-depth we cover all the different potential issues that you could have with your Minecraft server even if you don’t have any issues watch through this because it’s going to give you all the different troubleshooting methods and that way if you have an issue in the future you know how to fix It already so all that is in the description down below it’s also worth noting that you may not be able to join off your public IP address at all and that’s okay because you can join off of that Local Host that we found earlier as long as your friends can join off your Public IP that’s all that matters so keep that in mind but nonetheless that is how you can make your very own Minecraft 1.19.3 server check out the video on your screen right now which is actually how to access experimental features in Minecraft that’s a new addition in Minecraft 1.19.3 that you might be Interested in checking out yes you can now play with 1.20 features and 1.19.3 it’s pretty cool like I said go check that video out and if you do have any questions let us know in the comment section down below give this video a thumbs up and we will see you in the Next video I am out peace Video Information

Once you have the 1.19.3 server file downloaded, create a folder on your desktop called 1.19.3 Server. Move the file you downloaded into this folder. Double-click on the server.jar file you downloaded, and it will try to open and fail. If it doesn’t, you need Java which can be found in the links below.
Some files will have generated including an EULA.txt file. Open this file with notepad and change EULA=false to EULA=true. Save the file, and double click the server.jar file again. Your Minecraft 1.19.3 server will start up.

We cover how to port forward in-depth in the video, but in short, you will need to forward port 25565 on the TCP and UDP protocols. Again, this is covered in-depth in the video, but it is required in order to allow your friends to join your newly made Minecraft server.
After you have port forwarded, your friends will be able to join your Minecraft 1.19.3 server using your public IP address. You can find a link in the description above to get your public IP address. It is important that you only share this with people you trust.
Nevertheless, you now know how to make a Minecraft server in 1.19.3 If you have any questions about how to create a server in Minecraft 1.19.3, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
