Hello guys, this is Jason and today I’ll be teaching you how to set up a modern 1.12.2 minecraft server First of all, you’ll need to download minecraft forge 1.12.2, there will be a link down in the description Then run Forge and click on Install Client and press Ok. Launch minecraft into the version forge 1.12.2 and let it run for the first time and then quit the game Create a new folder for the server and then run Forge again this time. You should choose Install server. You must click on these three bullets and select the new folder that your server will be built in after the installation Run the forge, one point twelve point to file it might not seem like anything happened but you’ll see a file called EULΑ Open it and change the value from false to true Now run the forge 1.12.2 file again and wait till the log says done We are now ready to install mods I’m going with the lucky blocks mod, but the procedure is the same for any other 1.12.2. Ι Already have it downloaded But the website for the download is in the description Be careful. You do need to download the mod for the same version as your forge in other words 1.12.2 Ιf you download and install Another mod version your server may crash and we don’t want that. So now that we have our zip and our jar files We need to copy the mobs both into our server and into our minecraft files for that We need to press Windows R and this little window should pop up input appdata and then click OK Then click roaming and .minecraft If there isn’t a folder named mods or add-ons create them yourself, but it should be there Copy the zip and the jar files into the folder called mods Next up we need to do the exact same thing for our server Go to your server folder and create the folders mods and add-ons if they aren’t created yet paste the mods into mods folders and You’re almost done. The last thing you need to do is open notepad and paste the following code This code is in the description toο. Τhis code makes the server run faster because more ram is allocated to τηε server functions press save as and save it to the server folder naming it run.bat so it can be an Executable file. You are now ready to play on the server Open the run file, and if Everything went okay, you should be able to open minecraft and then run the forge version select multiplayer direct connect and put your localhost and connect.
