How to Make an END PORTAL in Minecraft 1.19+ in Creative Mode? Not as Simple as You Think!

Hey there everyone welcome back to another Minecraft tutorial video here on the channel I’m back in my tutorial world and within this video I’m going to show you how to make a end portal in Minecraft in creative mode because surprisingly this actually causes a lot

Of players or a lot of new players a lot of issues you might have had this sort of situation where you’ve tried to make an end portal in creative mode in Minecraft and you’ve tried to activate it using Eyes of Ender but it’s not activating so why is it not actually

Activating as you might expect well in this video I’m going to show you how to make an end portal for real and this works in anywhere in the Minecraft world and you actually have to make the end portal in a very specific way in order to

Actually get it to work so I’m going to show you that within this video now what you’re going to need is you’re going to need to search for a end portal frame in creative mode and you’re also going to need Eye of Ender so that you can

Activate the portal and you also are going to need some kind of block and you can also use torches as well that’s just an additional thing which I’m going to use to try and help you understand how this is actually working and how we’re actually going to be making the portal

In the first place now the first thing I should make you aware of is that end portal frame blocks in the game actually have uh four levels of directionality to them it actually matters what direction they’re placed also what position you’re in when you place them okay so they

Actually have some element of different states that it can actually be in so the block is actually considered different if you place it like this so if I place a portal frame like this and then Place one like this technically the game or Minecraft sees these Portal frames differently so it actually considers

Which which way the portal frame was facing when you actually place the block and that’s actually important when it comes to the portal frame that we’re going to be making so this is how you make a portal frame very easily so what you’re going to want

To do is you’re going to want to place a block either in the air or on the ground where you want to start making one corner of your portal frame so what I’m going to do here is I’m going to place these torches like this to try and

Symbolize that we’re going to try and put the end portal right here okay so the end portal is going to meet this corner of the block okay and that is very important to try and visualize so now what you’re going to want to do is considering you know where the end

Portal is going to be this is what you need to do using the end portal frame you need to place three in a row like this okay now you’ll know if they are the right orientation if you can see these pieces of the end portal facing

You like this so it should have these other bits that are attached to the eye slot and then you should have two dots on either side on the other side of the portal so it should look like this okay and that should be facing you okay and

The next thing you do is Place Another block here and then do not move from where the portal is going to be and then Place another three blocks like this okay and you need to do that with all of the corners okay so we’re going to do the

Other side now why so and then we’re going to do the final order okay so that is all four sides done okay and if you actually do this you can then remove the um the corner blocks that you were using in order to make this

And you will then be able to see that when we actually put in the Eyes of Ender into these fossil frame slots right here you will see that it will then start to work as you can see right there so this is a valid end portal

Now what I’m going to quickly do here is I’m going to show you a way where if you build it another way it doesn’t work so we’re just going to get rid of this portal right here and I’m going to show you that it doesn’t work in certain other configurations

Okay so previously we tried to add the portal frames whilst being in this area of the porcel what happens if we try from the outside so in this case we are making the portal actually being outside of the portal area so technically these Portal frames are actually going to be

Different or classed as different by The Game and as you will see if we place all of these down so this is an outer configuration I suppose um if we end up doing this and then placing the Eyes of Ender in here you will see that this configuration will

Not work as you can see so this one doesn’t work either also if you try another configuration where the end portals are facing uh this way like so this will not work either the only way you can get this to work is if you place the portal frames whilst being inside of

The portal area so that is why I’m emphasizing that within this video so the portal frames in these other cases I’m showing here may look identical to what I showed at the beginning but as you’ll be able to see right here these configurations are not valid so as you

Can see that is not valid either so it’s very important to do it from inside the the portal area in order to get it to work all right everyone that’s about it for this tutorial video as you can see making an end portal in the game is actually in creative mode anyway it’s

Not quite as simple as you might think there’s only one valid configuration you can do in order to actually make your own portal obviously this can only be done in creative mode and cannot be done in survival mode because you cannot obtain end portal frames in a normal way
