After this short video you’ll be playing the real and official minecraft in vr completely wirelessly on your oculus quest 2. first let’s just go over the requirements real quick you need a vr capable pc you obviously need minecraft java or bedrock edition which you can get on the microsoft store with a free Trial you need a usb c to see that connects request to to your pc now you can either use the white one that comes in the box of the quest 2 or you can get this 16 foot long cable from kiwis and of course to help you guys out 10 off code diamond Here are the first things to do is to get airlink working install the oculus software on your computer go to the settings beta and enable airlink now hop on your quest to go to settings and click on airlink and make sure you connect to the same wi-fi router as that Is what is able to connect your quest to to your pc and now your pc should show up right here and then click launch now you’ll be transported to your oculus rift home yes this is what rift users see every time they go in vr this is Their home so you can like walk around here and you can do like more stuff on the quest but anyway here is where the video splits into we have how to play minecraft bedrock edition and how to play minecraft job edition and it depends on which minecraft you want to Play in vr now you can always go in the timestamps below and skip to the party that you want to see but we’re going to start on how to play minecraft better rock edition in vr because you can also do this for free so you know just not Clickbait you guys so the first thing you want to do is that now that you are on the oculus rift store you want to go over and search for minecraft and then download that and if you followed everything i mentioned before that’s pretty much it this thing you’re Downloading on the oculus rift store is a client that connects your minecraft bedrock pc edition to your vr via oculus now of course with bedrock edition there are different mechanics and a different feel compared to java edition which by the way i’ll show you guys in just a Second how to set that up and here are just a few differences you start off in a virtual minecraft living room playing minecraft yeah it’s kind of meta but by pressing y you get sucked into the tv and now you’re playing in vr and i think that’s actually a really nice touch and Java you can customize your own skin you can add mods like you would in normal java java edition requires higher computer specifications to run smoothly and then java can customize controls with the help of steam which is only available for java edition and now i’m going to explain you guys how to play Minecraft java edition with airlink yeah so you can play your saved single player worlds and multiplayer servers like hypixel even though you might get banned for this so like just be careful but before i go over the tutorial on how to play minecraft java edition on vr there Is an important step i need to address and that you guys have to make sure you follow because otherwise this is just completely pointless and that is a good stable internet connection like i said there’s no point of you watching this video if your connection from your vr to Your router is weak especially if the router is like in another room so i have a solution for any of you guys wanting a better interaction and that’s through a product that is especially made for vr let me show you the nexus link wireless gaming bridge basically you plug your Nexus link into the wi-fi router with the ethernet cable and then from your bridge you connect it to your pc now you have a direct wireless connection from your quest 2 to your pc through the nexus link and here are some benefits to the wireless gaming bridge a dedicated Wi-fi connection separating your vr traffic from household traffic effectively eliminates lag and drop frames caused by local bandwidth intensive activities extend wi-fi to a hard-to-reach location utilizing the functional high power ac 7050 and the m-u-m-i-m-o technology to deliver superior wireless connectivity too hard to reach locations you don’t really know The specific details of whatever that stuff is but from you guys nerdy guys out there you know there’s a lot of good stuff i mean optimize for vr with an optimized connection players can experience less motion sickness caused by lag and fewer headaches caused by low framework unlock All your games seamlessly connect to virtual desktop on oculus 1 or airlink through oculus quest 2 to easily access all your rift and pc games you guys can find the link down below in the description but we’re just going to get right back to the video and here Compared to the normal pc java edition version only a few things changes number one you’re in vr obviously number two you can teleport so it can make it easier for like pvp if you’re going against pc and it can make it easier also for parkour and number three you Have movable vr hands and also just more customizability compared to the bedrock edition so what you want to do is you want to go down below in the description and click on the link where it’ll bring you to a website called fivecraft vivecraft basically brings minecraft Java into vr now you want to click on the latest version which will appear right there then windows might alert you with this pop-up window but it’s safe so just click on more info and then run anyway after you download the exe file it might say you have to download this Java extension and if it does then you do have to download it now open up vivecraft.exe here you can choose a fire location then for the ram you want to put half of what you have so like if your pc has a 8 gigabyte ram you want to Put a 4 gigabyte ram if your pc has a 16 gigabyte ram you can put a 8 gigabyte ram then make sure minecraft and its launcher is shut down before you click install after that you want to open up the minecraft launcher where on the bottom left where you select you know All the like the modes and versions you can see vivecraft but wait wait hold on it’s not over yet guys in order to actually connect this to your quest to here are a few things you need to know well actually too there’s there’s two things you need one is to download steam And steamvr this will allow you to play basically any type of game that supports vr and now the second thing is to go on airlink on your oculus quest 2 and start up steam vr from the rift home and now once you’ve done that you will be Transported to the steam vr home yeah i know it’s kind of confusing because first you’re in the quest home and then you’re on the rift home and then you’re in the steam vr home it’s like you’re in all of them just to reach minecraft but anyway from the steam vr home you can Launch minecraft and now you’re playing minecraft java edition in vr down below you’ll find a link that will bring me to my discord where you can ask me questions if you need any help but other than that bye-bye Video Information
