Linking up nether portals can be difficult but i’ll be showing you how to properly link your portals so you no longer deal with random portals appearing in your world being teleported hundreds of blocks away and so many more issues this trick will work on all platforms so let’s get into it alright So what you want to do is you want to go ahead and build yourself a portal in the overworld you don’t have to build it if you already have one built you can just link it up but for the sake of the tutorial i’m going to be building one so We’ve got a portal right here go ahead and step in this bottom left hand corner of the portal and we are going to write down those coordinates in the top left corner of your screen so negative 3 and negative 177. the y coordinate does not matter you can build your portal at Whatever y level you would like and it is going to work the exact same all that matters is the x and y coordinate so negative 3 and negative 177. all right time to pull out your calculator i know we’re playing minecraft but you still need to do some math every once in a While so you’re going to take that number negative 3 and divide it by 8 to get a negative 0.375 so we’re going to round that up to zero and then we’re also going to take our y coordinate which was negative 177 divided by 8 equals negative 22.125 Which we will round up to negative 22. so we’re going to build our nether portal in the nether at 0 negative 22. and if we just go ahead and light this portal and hop in it should make a brand new portal somewhere near uh 0 negative 22. it would appear that it is made at negative 1 negative 22. so we’re actually just gonna have to shift it over by one block so let’s just build a brand new nether portal right next to it and we’re going to destroy the one that naturally spawns we’re going to build up and Just like so and then build over here go ahead and break this portal now right here just break any one of these obsidian blocks and light this brand new portal we just built if we go into it we are going to link up to the portal that We have just built and as you can see it didn’t make a brand new portal this is the portal we have just built every block in the nether is eight blocks in the overworld that is very important remember that all right that portal over there has an x coordinate of negative Three so we’re going to build a new portal over here with an x coordinate of negative 35 and what this is going to do is this is going to make a brand new portal that is 32 blocks away in the overworld but only four blocks away in The nether so we’re just going to build up and create a new portal and the same thing on this side and then connect them up simple as that you know building another portal now what you want to do is you want to go back to the other nether portal that you already Have built and we’re going to hop inside of it and we’re going to build a brand new portal in the nether now so we need to come through and that was a negative 35 which means that it is four blocks over in the nether which is going to be Back here because we’re going to take negative 35 and divide it by eight which we can round to negative four so we’re going to come over to negative four we’re going to make a brand new portal over here just like so i don’t think i have enough Blocks to finish this so we’re to use cobblestone and just like that so we’ve got a brand new portal now you want to light this portal in the nether go back through the portal that we made earlier and we’re going to light the portal in the overworld now so we’re Going to come back over to this portal i know this is a pretty lengthy process but you are going to have no issues if you do everything the way that i’ve done it now you want to go into this nether portal and we should spawn in the four Block away one and wouldn’t you see it we came out of that one right there so nether travel is obviously very useful and now you know how to properly link up your portals if we go through this one we’re going to come out of this one And look at that so we’ve got two nether portals really really close together but they actually were linked up properly but that’s gonna do for today’s video if you guys enjoyed please do consider subscribing and leaving a like my name is oneup mc and i’ll catch you guys in the next one Video Information
