Hello everybody how you doing it’s tutorial time again and today we’re talking about how to repair tools because this is something i know there’s a little bit of confusion about now generally speaking there are three ways to repair tools in minecraft each version gets a little bit more Difficult but comes with some more advantages so i’m going to walk you through each version why you might want to do it why you might not want to do it and uh hopefully this will make sense now the first way the simplest way is with this item here That you can make in the crafting table this is a grindstone and this is really easy so let’s open up the grindstone now here i have a a sword that is damaged and another solve that is damaged if i just put these in the grindstone together larp you’ll see i can use this To make one completely repaired sword take it out larp but as you’ll see there’s a problem here this is not enchanted anymore repairing it in here has taken off the enchantments so first method of repairing grindstone just put two of any of the same tool in it’ll come out repaired it won’t cost You any xp but you will lose the enchantments often that’s just not gonna be good enough it’s good if you’re just starting out and you’ve got lots of cheap gear but often you’re gonna want to get that stuff repaired and keep the enchants so we have our next method which is right here The anvil the anvil can also be made in the crafting table and the anvil works like this we take our iron shovel here and we can either put another iron shovel on or just a piece of iron it won’t use all 13 i think um yeah just one two there we go that’s Almost full now this keeps the enchant so we get to repair this tool we have to keep this enchantment on it but it’s also going to cost us 3xp i can afford that so fair enough but the more often you repair the more often that gets up in cost so If i put some more in here now we’re trying to repair only a little bit more but it costs 4xp this time to do less repair and as you keep repairing the tools that’s going to get more and more and more expensive so eventually you’re going to want repairs That don’t cost you anything and don’t strip your enchants and there’s really only one way to do that and that’s with this little enchantment here if you look at all my netherright tools they all have an enchantment on the bottom called mending mending is an enchantment that repairs your tools By gaining xp so if you keep the item equipped as long as you have the item equipped it will repair repair repair you have to be using that item it has to be selected or if it’s armor like these pieces of armor here you just have to have them on If they’re on they’ll be repairing all the time but with tools it has to be the tool you’re using and what you do with this with the mending enchantment is you go over here to your mob spawner or if you don’t have a mob spawner just go around chasing up mobs attack them Make sure you’re holding the item you want to prepare or if it’s armor make sure you have the item warm and it will gradually repair now i’m not going to leave this whole repair process in because it takes ages i’m going to fast forward the video so You can see it go to full repair so this is all your bait if you have a mulch bottle this is all you need to do if you don’t have a mob spawner just run around killing them each night and it’ll gradually work up i’ll go mining Whatever you like now just before i turn this fast forward and i just want to let you know if you don’t have a mob spawner i do have a video on my channel about how to make a mob spawner and i’ll link that in the video description below and if You don’t know how to get the mending enchantment to put simply there are villagers that sell it it’s sold by librarians in villages but there’s actually a really quick way of making sure you get a villager that sells it and i have a video how to do that it’s The fastest way to get mending and i’ll pop a link to that below too but basically that’s how you repair tools i’m gonna fast forward this now so you can see me just take this shovel all the way to complete repair and get an idea for how long it takes you’ll It’ll be fast forwarded but you’ll see okay how quickly we’re going and yeah that’s pretty much it i’ll see you again after the fast forward thanks for watching guys Do So Do All right for anybody still watching that should just give you an idea when you have fully upgraded netherright tools like this how long it takes to get a good chunk repaired i was gonna go fully repair but with netherred it is quite a slow process it is much faster if you’re Using diamond than iron gold even wooden tools they all go a little bit quicker than this but that should just give you an idea of how long it sort of takes and there you go that’s all three methods for repairing tools that’s really worth exploring And i hope this was useful to you thank you very much for watching bye-bye Video Information
