HUGE: 1.20 Update Name Reveal THIS WEEK!

It’s just an announcement of an announcement until you dive a little bit deeper and see that wait a minute this question mark question mark question mark that they’re kind of showing to tell us about Minecraft gives us some huge hints already and so let’s talk about precisely what those are honestly

Of an m and on the right you can see the outline of a t if we just overlay a Minecraft on there you can see the top part of the Minecraft 1.20 update is going to be called Minecraft and wow what a shocker right can you believe that Minecraft’s 1.20’s official title

Is going to have Minecraft in there just like update Aquatic and Village and pillage and the Never update they’re going to refer to it as Minecraft and then they’re going to call it something else and what we can tell from that something else is that something else is

Likely going to be two words how can we be so sure about that well look at the second row and then you’ll notice that it’s a big row of words with this interesting Gap about two-thirds of the way to the right there this tells us that the Minecraft uh you know update uh

The next one that’s coming out is not going to be the unnamed update or of the very silly uh versions that we’ve seen online but instead is likely going to be something like a five or six letter word followed by a three letter word admittedly because it’s a ratio and we

Don’t know the exact size of this bottom text it could be that it’s like six or seven letters then four or five letters uh but this makes it very very very unlikely that it’s going to be called the blank update or the update blank the only time before we’ve had a Minecraft

Minecraft now and they kept on rescheduling episodes and skipping mumps and uh it’s a lot like the Minecraft life thing like they had a Minecon and then they made a Minecon live then they made a Minecon Earth and then they made a Minecraft live and honestly I think I

Got that in the wrong order but you know what I don’t get in the wrong order uh the fact that Minecraft is basically trying to engage with the community and build hype in much better ways and this is honestly a really good way to do that the update Title of 1.20 genuinely has

People curious um as I’ve mentioned in my video last week talking about why it doesn’t have an update title yeah this lack of a title is honestly the best title they could have people will find out about this update when the title is revealed and there’ll probably be some form of

Official trailer coming not too long after to let people know what they can expect in the ruined Dune update or whatever you like to imagine that it is um I do think however Minecraft has a really good it’s it’s trying really really hard to get this branding right

It’s trying really hard to get things on point but at the same time they seem to keep picking things up and then just dropping them immediately Minecraft now being replaced by Minecraft monthly is a better piece of branding in my opinion uh Minecraft dungeons uh you know kind

Of being put to the side while we focus on Minecraft Legends or maybe you could say Minecraft Earth or Minecraft story mode Minecraft has this like almost you know ADHD level thing of just like picking up a project and then immediately going oh no no no no this is

The much better project and honestly at some point that becomes a little bit of a silly scale to be doing things on even the way they do Minecraft updates in the modern era of Minecraft updates we get these big kind of themed updates that make a lot of sense you know like uh

It’s going to be themed on oceans or the never or whatever else and that’s what a lot of people are expecting 1.20 to have a title that makes it all make sense but ultimately when you look back before even you know just 1.11 and 1.10 they

Had very nebulous themes I mean 1.10 was the frost burn update and it’s just cool that because it has some cold features and some hot features Minecraft is filled with this going back and forth between different ideas about what an update should be about what their things

Should be called about whether they want to do conventions clearly and also about what they’re doing with the very IP which they’re trusted with is this a good thing for the game as a whole maybe genuinely it’s the most successful game out there maybe people do people do like

This a lot but I do want to be clear that this is very good marketing it’s just you genuinely have no idea which direction they’re gonna take it because who knows if this is the Minecraft of the last three years or the Minecraft of the three years before that or the

Little corner where anyone can go look at them because otherwise it would be too censorshipy right but anyway if you look through this you can see that there are hundreds of people who have suggested the sex update which tells you something interesting about that like Minecraft is going through this big

Maturation and change again but also the Minecraft Community clearly a large portion of people who play Minecraft are at that age where they’re just discovering that if you say sex it’s funny I mean we went through it with the worst suggestions of the year but it’s
