I attempt Minecraft Skyblock, but its HARDCORE

This is Minecraft Skyblock normally in a Minecraft world you have infinite resources you don’t even really have to think about it you can walk wherever you want however in this playthrough we are going to be suspended above the void with nothing around us but a few blocks of dirt a tree and a

Chest with some items let’s go take on this challenge shall we okay here we go we’re on a tiny little Block in the sky and this is gonna be such a fun adventure oh my gosh I’m so excited so of course on Skyblock as is typical oh

It’s raining you don’t get very many things in this case this one’s a little bit different we got sugar cane sea pickle glow Berry some obsidian and of course our water and lava or ice hopefully yeah there we go we got our very first seed so we are playing in

Hardcore mode which is terrifying because I normally die quite a lot in Skyblock to be honest the first things that we’re going to want to survive are of course a sapling from this lovely tree right here so I’m gonna start punching some of these leaves and we’re

Also gonna want the seed and a cobblestone generator which I can of course get started on right first things first here we go we got our cobblestone generator oh yeah also going to use some of this dirt and just start a little tiny platform right

Here to kind of bring this grass down a layer now we’re gonna need some more sticks and some more wood so let’s hopefully not lose this log yes got it okay here’s our very first crafting table I’m taking down this tree very slowly because I really want to make sure that

We do not lose any of the saplings here we go our very first tool a wooden pickaxe this is the very most exciting part of Skyblock of course we get to sit at a cobble generator for hours and as you can see there’s even some custom advancements on this map which I’m

Really excited about cobblestone generator being the very first one that we’ve gotten perfect given that we are in hardcore mode there’s going to be a couple of immediate challenges and I think the very first one that we’re going to encounter is food normally I don’t worry a ton about food but on this

Particular map well we’re gonna have to worry about it because starving to death is a real threat so the second tool that I’m gonna make is gonna be a hoe we’re gonna go ahead and grow this wheat seed let’s expand the platform a little bit around this tree so that we can

Hopefully get a couple more of these leaves down for a sapling chance Skyblock really gets you back to those core Minecraft mechanics and it also challenges you in ways that vanilla Minecraft just doesn’t this is by far my favorite game mode right and now we sit at the cobblestone generator

For a very long time hold on yeah okay now that I’ve expanded the platform a little bit I’m going to go ahead and punch out the rest of this wood and hopefully we will get our very first oak sapling it’s not the end of the world if

We don’t get it as as you can see there are other Islands surrounding oh fire awkward yeah so fire spreads on we’ll have to be mindful of that there we go oak sapling okay perfect so now we can go ahead and plant that first though I’m gonna mine up a little bit

More of this dirt I’ve also gone ahead and made our first furnace and we’re going to use one of the logs that we got in order to make some torches um now no mobs can spawn on this island but I am recording a video and I’d like

You guys to be able to see the video the other thing that the island gives us is these flowers now flowers are useful because in this biome we can actually try to get beehives so I’m gonna plant my saplings next to flowers and see if we get lucky I don’t necessarily need

Bees yet but they are really cool to have oh this is going to be a long process upgrade the pickaxe and we’ll save the wooden pickaxe for uh memories or something and now we grind the cobblestone generator oh this is so exciting our very first day has passed already the Sun is setting

It’s raining I think we’re just gonna spend our entire first night here at the cobblestone generator even though we are in hardcore mode there’s no real threats to my life right now so we’re chilling we’re chilling honestly I think this might be one of my better night one

Setups it’s pretty clean I’m happy with this oh advancement made well we had our first full stack of cobblestone you know even as an avid lover of Skyblock I will admit this very first night of just grinding Cobblestone a little boring okay I feel like that was

A first night’s well spent the rain is finally gone and I’ve collected up a ton of cobblestone so we can now expand this platform a little bit more to make it a bit more useful for us we are gonna have to get used to the texture of

Cobblestone it’s a little bit ugly but you’re gonna have to just forgive me we do have another problem though it’s day two and I officially have one bar of hunger gone starvation is closing in I’m being dramatic we are going to be able to solve this problem though because

There are a few things in the chest that I have not actually used yet so let’s make another little platform over here for some farming and we’ll just do this glowberries you can eat glowberries I’m not gonna eat this one though I’m gonna go ahead and just make a little farm

Right here for the glowberries so we’ll be farming berries to eat we can also go ahead and farm our sugar cane right here so now what we’re left with is a pickle my junk and some obsidian I’m not gonna go to the nether yet and I think the pickle is for water

Sources down the road but I’m pretty happy with our cobblestone generator as it is right now so I think we will just focus on expanding our platform we are up to three in a bit stacks of cobblestone now and still nothing on the island is grown so it’s time to take

Matters into my own hands I’m gonna make a whole bunch of slabs and hopefully try and Bridge to get us some food now I see a lot of options in islands that we can explore we’ve got pretty much every biome and a bunch of various resources

On each of these jungle has cocoa beans which could potentially become food dark oak has a daisy I don’t think I need that Mangrove over there has some mud and Vines for us we’ve got the Birch the spruce oh the spruce has berries okay that’s a good option we’ve got the desert of

Course which will be very important later and a mushroom Island which we could actually eat mushrooms as well so our options are the Mushroom Island and the spruce I think the spruce has a little bit more to offer right now because it has a type of wood a farmable

Pumpkin farmable berries and snow so everyone we’re going on an adventure to the tiger the Sun is setting and I don’t want this to be spawnable so we’re gonna use some top half slabs because mobs can’t spawn on these oh this is gonna make my pinky hurt

Oh dear hey there’s a geode there though that’s pretty fun we’ll be able to farm some amethyst this version of Skyblock that I’m playing is actually on the latest version of Minecraft I don’t think I’ve ever played Skyblock on the latest version before so I’m really

Excited to try out a bunch of new mechanics like for example if we can find drip Stone somewhere in the distance we can get infinite lava which was something that was never possible before on Skyblock now I don’t know if the map is actually going to give us

That but I know that there are a lot of different things out Beyond in the world if we can find them I’m hoping we’ll live long enough to see that and also fight the dragon and be able to do all of those fun things I haven’t played

Skyblock in a really long time so I’m kind of into it I want to get as far as we can oh look at my lonely Little Island over there it’s so sad gosh my pinky is getting a workout are we there yet no oh for goodness sake

Hi zombie I’m just here for the berries don’t mind me oh I did it fake cave I’m also gonna go ahead and harvest these berries and pick up our snow just in case it ever melts then we’ve got a pumpkin to keep safe and our Spruce oh please give me a sapling

This is so important I really need a spruce sapling oh and we got one right away oh that’s perfect okay I’m gonna go ahead and chop this down now and let the rest of these leaves just Decay this has been a very productive little Adventure I like this the idea of having islands

All around that we can explore is so much fun it adds so much to the experience of Skyblock last little leaf and it looks like we’re coming away with this with four saplings oh my luck is so good I’m gonna also go ahead and take a little bit of this dirt

Just so we can take that home for more tree farming I’ll leave a little bit of grass and dirt out here we can come back for it later and for now the grass will spread I’ve gone ahead and turned the pumpkin into seeds and we’ll start growing one of those right there and

We’ll also get a few berries going hopefully with all of this together we should soon have a solid food source oh and we can also go ahead and plant some Spruce we do have enough saplings for a huge tree but I think for now I’m just gonna stick to the smaller Spruce

Variety and now we mine you know as well as this is going I feel like usually when I play Skyblock by day three something has grown I mean granted this little bush has grown thank you little Bush you’re giving me hope oh and the sugar King grew just as I was about to

Talk about it growth yet which is a really strange I feel like normally at least the oh coupling would have grown by now we’re definitely gonna need a source of bone meal in I have a couple of ideas for that of course a mob spawner is a must

But there’s also composters in the game so what could maybe potentially do something with that down the road if we can get a big enough pumpkin farm or maybe cocoa bean Farm or just you know a farm of some form oh finally thank goodness our very first tree has

Grown and it’s one of those spruce trees that we just got oak tree can you step it up please I need I’m gonna need some Oakwood too I’m gonna quickly expand the platform as I really don’t want to lose any of these saplings oh and our first glow Berry just grew

Epic okay I’m not gonna eat it I’m still just gonna keep it spreading this is really good there is however another challenge ahead of us and and I don’t mean the broken pickaxe we are currently on day three on this beautiful island and on night three something important happens our insomnia

Is gonna take over because well we can’t actually sleep I don’t have a bed so Phantoms are gonna become an issue there are a couple of ways to combat this we could just go down to the bottom of the planet but I thought it would be much

More fun if we went ahead and built ourselves a little hardcore safety bunker so that’s what I’m gonna do I’m gonna build us a hardcore safety bunker it is going to require a little bit of risk so we’re just gonna we’re gonna let that dirt go it’s okay and then we’re

Gonna come down here totally fine it’s all under control nobody worry and then I’m just gonna pop over here there we go okay I did it this is gonna be our little hardcore safety bunker under the world I just think it’ll be so cool to have like a little area to live

Underneath the island it also gives us the opportunity to actually mine out some of this dirt and get it back for our Farms which is really important now it probably doesn’t have to be very big this is probably about good I think I’m gonna leave it there now all I gotta do

Is do a bit more Mining and a bit more farming and we’ll get that hopefully built up by tonight I can uh I can hear my puppy upstairs so uh quick puppy Interruption I’ll be right back weenie Winnie’s getting kind of big but uh

Hoping as we go into the holiday season in real life that I could start up a really chill series that I could sort of play in to just relax whenever I wanted this is the sort of series that’s really easy for me to do when I’m between walking my puppy Winnie this series

Me this will be like our cozy autumn and winter gaming time it’s finally have enough wood where I could probably start crafting a couple of things so we definitely want some windows down below and I think we can also make a couple of barrels to store things probably just

For the aesthetic to be honest I’m kind of okay with that okay so here is the basics of my little room down here I’ve decided we shall have a couple of windows in the form of some fences and just generally this area will be like a sort of workstation so

Maybe we can put up a couple of Barrels have a chest store a few things and eventually our bed can possibly go down here as well it’s a little weird but I think it’ll do the trick and look at that the sun is rising once again and we’ve got another

Glow Berry oh this lovely you know what maybe since we don’t actually need the food right now we can actually plop a glow Berry down in here it could be decoration yep I love it down here there’s something really lovely about a starter house and in Skyblock when you

Have very limited resources it’s just so cozy I love it the fun thing about sweet berries is they don’t actually need to be planted on grass they could just be planted on dirt so I think I’m gonna plant them just down here we can make it look a bit better

There we go we’ll grow the sweet berries down here so that I stop stepping in them I want to give these oak trees lots and lots of space just to make sure that we get as many saplings as we can from them and then I’m finally gonna go ahead

And plant our Mega spruce tree which I’m very excited about but it’s gonna need a very large space and I don’t want it to take over our grass so maybe even further away than this to be honest so I think we’ll go with this for our

Spruce tree side and this for our oak tree side and just like that day three in the SkyBlock world comes to a close I think with us having a home it probably means we can finally go ahead and organize a lot of this stuff as well

That we don’t actually need up here I’ll leave the Cobblestone some wood and the bucket because those are practical things as well as the saplings because we’re also needing those for the new tree farm oh speaking of which we should light that up luckily I do have a torch on me then

We’ll just take the rest of the stuff and allocate a couple of chests like maybe this one can be for farming this one can be for Mob drops this one can be like our valuable blocks like our obsidian and our snow that we can’t really get any more of and then we’ll

Have a stone one and maybe a wood chest over here so for my next objective I’m going to go ahead and break this dirt block right here and also we’re gonna clog that up then when we place this again it should spread in both directions yeah and then we just

Break this so now our combo generator should still work yep and we’ve extended our water down this way so that means we can plant sugarcane along it and we can also go ahead ow and expand the farm right here until all of this to grow more wheat multitasking it’s perfect well wish me

Luck this is going to take a while look how many logs we have that’s so good okay I would say the objective now for the next little while is to start sort of making this place look pretty but also functional and one of the biggest

Threats to my life right now is me I’m I’m the threat so maybe some fencing along the outside would be kind of a good idea I mean I’ve got my bunker in case Phantoms come but some other fencing would probably also be a good idea to be honest I’m a little bit too

Lazy right now to count the sides of this thing so it’s probably not going to be perfectly even but perfectly even or not it’s definitely not bad this is a big step up I think oh and there’s another tree oh gosh I I thought that I heard a

Phantom and I did I did hear a phantom it’s our very first Phantom so we can run downstairs if we need to for the night but it’s just one so I do think that we can handle this I just don’t want to get pushed off the edge I was adding decorations come on

They were gonna be so cool my decorations got him perfect I was just getting to the point where we could make a couple of fences to make sure that I don’t accidentally get pushed off the edge by something like a surprise Phantom so this is good timing oh gosh

I’ll admit this is not the peaceful Cobble generating night that I thought that it would be okay all right okay you know what yep yep don’t mind me I’m just gonna be I’m just gonna be down here jeez oh finally the sun is rising okay nope
