I Beat Minecraft With RTX On… It Was Beautiful

Speaking of things beyond reproach getting flint is always a little bit annoying one we need free of that for any self-respecting minecraft run one of course is to make a plinth still and to is to make a fletching table because we want to trade with some fledging

Something I’ll definitely just admit right now I’m very excited for is riding a boat on the ocean to get to our nearest lava pit which is obviously an important thing to do and I’m just excited to see like how this boat looks on the open water because one of the

Things we’re you know one of the areas where minecraft slicing engine kind of falls lackluster and where r-tx really picks up the slack is in the ocean look at this right here look at the beauty of me just sailing across an ocean and seeing the reflectiveness of the you

Know again right now water is Eva you know you can see it or you can’t now there’s not only reflections but there’s also refractions like stuff looks you know like it wouldn’t real-life slightly different distance away than it actually is and you can see water actually looking like water in the real

World in a way that’s realistic in some just beautiful beautiful ways you could say it’s annoying and you might be right in some ways but you wouldn’t be right if you said it wasn’t beautiful right now we make ourselves a nether portal using some water just like so again look

At the water like it’s easy to spot when it’s on the ocean but even when you’re making an airport or seeing the water lowly turnip sitting like this it really really really has impact on your minecraft experience I’m gonna say and although it’s slightly harder to be a

These blocks right here it’s super fascinating but let’s go ahead and let’s look for some more of this because we need blaze rods as well as not dying by work skeletons as always an important thing and yeah when the Blazers fire at you you can see they really have much more vibrant attacks

Now it’s not just minecraft fire you watch careful it’s the real 5s pube which they normally do which makes this glowing aura that again would make sense in real life fire is fascinating in real life and very few games can do it justice like you can see here in RTX we’re also gonna

Of variants you can see in the light and from block to block and not just it is lit up or it is not lit up but might be colours that it’s reflecting all the other surface then the thing that objects actually is it which cares like

Why great racing is such a big deal it’s because they follow every individual ray of light so that they can accurately simulate light not just in the abstract but in terms of every individual you know color being reflected in the amounts that it deserves that’s why this

That we get from inside here isn’t natural but I can’t lie and say I don’t like it but seriously if you look at the front of the desert temple because it’s right in front some water you can see how the Rays are all being reflected from each of these into the water and

Then they’re hitting me at the accurate angle in accra position that they actually would making these gorgeous lifelike reflections in the water I love it also look at these reflections of zombies in the water they definitely are just some buddies in water and not a thing that can hurt me here on land

Right that’s how that one works but yeah same with the lighting from the village again a lot of firm you know like games will try to pre-render this soften effect but this is actually being rendered on the fly having the light from inside of those houses go outside

Of it as it accurately would it’s super bright in here because there’s a torch and here but that that lightness shouldn’t leave immediately but yeah it should be visible from the outside it’s a really hard thing for any lighting engine to do what has been this villager it’s a really hard thing for

Any lighting engines do but I feel like this one does it in a really really solid way which is why in the mornings when there’s a literal Sun over there everything is very bright you can see it very well in fact I would argue – well I

Could argue you can see too much right now maybe that’s just me okay my golems got that one covered even the mobs have accurate shadows based on the sun’s position so because it’s morning that their shadows are super long because they would be because the sun’s facing

From that way and in the middle of the day their shadows shorter right now minecraft just puts this black circle into something calls it a day with a shadow but this has shadows on everything in the world it’s crazy to look at when you think about it even

When the fire is competing women have a light source like it is right now you can see how there’s a real beauty to it which is hard to do in any other game so as we come up on that pillager outpost let me show you the water experience not

Just from top of it but from the inside of it because again this is base game survival minecraft look how everything looks in here again you can see the source of it but reflect it refracted you can see the surface of the water but it’s refracted

As it naturally should be until you came to the surface and then you can see like oh yeah this is kind of weird reflection where everything on the surface is duplicated it looks beautiful in a way that they put a lot of attentions detailing and I love seeing it every single time I

Get the opportunity to speaking of things I love the opportunity to do killing pillagers it’s going to be important this run we need get a crossbow and we could obsolete raid for a regular bow but it’s much easier just to find a nice villager like this kill

Work that there’s something that I always think is weird when people like complement you highly cuz I never look at a shadow and go yes this is why I need a high-end gaming PC I care about getting you know good frames I care about getting you know an experience

That looks good and is interesting much more than I care about that sort of stuff but I wait we’re in the village now we’re going to start breaking some of these things you can see how this village contains terracotta so it’s super glory in places again it’s just

The texture pack it’s a weird thing but you’ve got to admit it’s kind of cool just chill inside this bright red house oh man this house is intently yellow – I don’t know what the dealers of elseís I guess in the savanna biome they just make their houses out terracotta

Sometimes and it’s a very bizarre experience let me tell you but yeah inside any house inside any structure is always going to be a very nice experience this is why they want to show that off whenever they’re on YouTube but again most employed Croft in my experience has spent outside which is

Game as a whole that is honestly something I never would see in my lifetime although it’s running my attempt to get cooked food am I gonna have to use a furnace I can’t go back to that man I can’t go back to furnishing it the old way by the way I only just

Now realized that I got a crossbow with this much durability I I think that’s like what like one single arrow and then it’s gonna go both wait two three hours maybe so we get three arrows where’s five hours you know if I didn’t spend so much time testing how long this crossbow

Lighting looks great when there’s a lot of lighting around but how does lighting look in low-light situations I mean you can’t always rely on there to be some iron ore or some diamonds or some gold around the place right so how does it look when you’re in a dark cave with

Nothing around you or even let’s let’s say a step worse right let’s take one of these blocks right here and let’s put this above us so it’s pure darkness how does it look then and the answer is it looks like nothing you can see literally zero with this on I wonder

If this is something this is on those key areas for improvement right like when you’re breaking you can see the particles and you can see pretty much nothing else even might pickaxe you can see it’s just a gap on the particle effect it’s nothing okay that’s why I don’t mind

Down there apparently you can see literally nothing else it’s kind of crazy right but yeah this is what the end portal looks like one of the most important parts of Minecraft looks amazing because again having lower around here doesn’t mean too much unless that lava

Is as significant as it needs to be and boy does the lava in the end portal room really lights up but again if we come outside of this room if we start mining out again you’ll see how it literally looks like nothing up there because there is nothing we can see until that

One block which even then we can only vaguely see if we stare at it for long enough the strong wood itself low is a great example of how minecraft does look because these strongholds are lit up very sparsely in ways that actually look pretty creepy of this update I mean look

At this room for instance you can see how the chest is pretty much invisible because it’s between two of these chests making it hard to see is something that actually totally makes sense in this case and it means that you can actually be led around the stronghold by some of

These lighting choices I’m not so where this light comes from actually is it the iron bars what I’m so confused about that one but let’s ignore that for now let’s instead hop down here and let’s go to another entirely dark fruit try and find this which is near me I feel like

And I’d like it if she could come down and let me do precisely that honestly the Dragons always felt like a bit of a weird out they did fight in Minecraft the fact that you have to wait for her to come and let you attack her

It just it just feels like a really old style minecraft style video game then maybe it’s going for that kind of like phase effect thing but then why have a health bar or why not just let you attack a price in the underbelly or something maybe I’m thinking about it
