Non-euclidean builds you want to see me try anyways let’s get this show on the road So the back rooms how am i going to approach this well it’s going to start with me making a maze of sorts now what i’m gonna do is i’m gonna make a big big box let’s kind of plot this out here we’re gonna go let’s use spruce wood to make our lives

Easier and i know i’m addicted to spruce i’m not afraid to admit it but we’re gonna use spruce let’s start with a big floor no let’s do the floor with that spruce so slash fill and then yeah let’s go a very large distance in this direction i don’t know

How big i want to make this basically i want to make a maze that also like teleports you around it so it’s gonna be very confusing bruce thanks bang and that is our maze floor lovely i’m not one to be very inclined with world edits so

Uh y’all are gonna have to bear with me and the pace that i’m probably gonna be working at okay so we’ve got the four walls for our maze let’s make a five by five room based grid so i’m gonna do this i’m gonna make these lines

I know it doesn’t make much sense right now but you’ll see uh how do i clone do i wanna toy around with cloning negative x so what if i did this what if i did slash clone this let’s try doing this now no no no is it this

Is it the block i’m looking at no oh it’s like uh okay okay okay okay okay okay so let’s get this right okay now i’m going to make a daring attempt to try and do this again do i oh my gosh look at this the random lines out there for me

Not knowing how to use the stupid command do i make them bigger do i make the rooms bigger i mean the rooms are infinite that that’s true but hmm let’s try something so another trick is to go like this slash clone okay let me just like go out in a random

Direction and see what happens if i do it just here what corner am i on okay so it puts it there that’s gonna make things very tricky no i’m gonna go even further because i i’m less confident about what’s about to happen right here you go from this back corner again

It always goes from that back corner that’s not what i want tell you what though i’ll do this i will just build it backwards so let me go here and do this don’t know why it’s one block above the ground but pop off Yeah given that it’s gonna be looping back on itself i think that’s well big enough okay let’s make the walls this is gonna be colossal okay so let’s put together a floor plan do we want them to start on an edge you know i don’t think it matters

Let’s say this is our starting room sure we’ll indicate it with one of these bang and let’s start making doorways i might even make some of them like actual big rooms yeah this part’s gonna take a while so just bear with me while i work this is

Gonna be insane like the more i’m just looking at this it’s gonna be oh my gosh i’m excited i’m excited for this video now i know what my first goal when i get to the non-euclidean portals and stuff my first goal with this is i don’t want

The player to be able to see themself at any point so i need to place portals strategically so that there’s no line of sight between them that’s got to be my first goal because i feel like if the player will be able to see themselves at any given point it’ll break the illusion

That these are like to a certain degree infinite still not even halfway done i’ve been going for maybe 10 minutes 20 minutes to be fair a lot of time was taken up and trying to figure out how to use commands yeah this is gonna be a rough maze

This is gonna be fun so not only is it a big maze it there it’s it’s looping back on itself in a lot of places and there is a graveyard of all my failed attempts right outside which is great i’m excited for this to be done this is

Gonna mess with a lot of people so there’s the entire thing carved out let me stack up these walls now you see what’s happening there we go and for the top layer this might get tricky hang on i’ve gotta backtrack just a bit

And by just a bit i mean i can’t do the roof yet because i haven’t put any portals in yet silly me what good is in infinite back rooms when it’s not infinite how silly am i i need to flip you around so you get the big

Me not wanting to give my computer a uh you know bad time let’s add one more so if you’re here and you go through this this puts you kind of close to the end and i don’t know how i feel about that i don’t know how close i want to

Like let the player just magically end up part of me wants to make it one way yeah i’ll try making this one one way so if i do if i do this okay so if i do this and i walk through here i’m over there so the only way anything

Changes is if i walk through yeah okay so that changes okay good good good good good good good good i’m trying to make it so you can’t even tell anything changes either by walking through it because i know like if i walk backwards through this it changes

I’m trying to avoid that i love how just like at any point without you realizing it you could just end up somewhere else and end up somewhere else again that’s so funny to me now we just have to do a lot of copy paste so i’m going to move my mic

So i can better get around my keyboard and slash clone why are you darker do i need to recreate a room on this side just to make it like look right i can do that real quick so weird when you it’s a little weird when you actually like look at it oh no

Let’s try and uh hug this wall i think i think that’s what i generally want to do i can’t really do it here is that a portal or am i just nuts okay i’m trying to find a long hallway you look like a long hallway

I think wait a minute i don’t know where i am and i don’t like it uh okay let’s go this way okay um oh you’re broken okay that’s fixed jeez let’s go this way no idea no idea i i’m kind of like just generally trying to aim in this direction

Okay so it’s not that it’s not that way it’s not this way i’m really worried i’m gonna accidentally walk through one of those portals i put in that’s just like made to bait you into it don’t tell me i can’t get out of this oh boy

Did i just like go up like a whole dead end area and i don’t know where i am whoa really weirdly long corridor there um interesting i think this is looking like the right way but i’m going to turn this way anyway just to be quirky and stupid yeah no

Back corner but i also just straight up do not know at least i thought i was getting close to the back corner i also think i’ve completely lost my bearings which is really not good oh so i just had a really disgusting sinking feeling like i’ve been where i currently am before

And if i see that really long zigzaggy corridor in a second i’m gonna be disgusted guys i’m gonna be honest i have no clue where i am oh oh my gosh let’s try not go that way let’s try and figure out another way i’m starting to question

Whether or not this thing has an actual solution i have no idea where i’m trying to go this is rough i’m hoping that i can make it in this tell me i’m back no i think i’m supposed to be going in the i think no hang on this way yeah i think i
