Foreign that’s right I’m installing scaffolding because day today is a bit of a clementus day the tree that you doubted me you doubted and said B-Dubs will never tear it down yes I will here I am tearing it down oh I hate this thing so much you know I it’s rare

Because I’m so talented that I build a tree and I hate me but I hate me on this one I I like a lot of the things that I do but this this thing is is weird it maybe would have its place somewhere else you know in like um a baby’s world

Where a baby would be building but not here where me grown up beat ups me build I can’t have this it’s okay is it okay cool looking tree kind of but I kind of hate with all my passion so we’re gonna tear it down I already have the solution to fix it well

And there it is the Crimson Brothers bridge I’m glad you liked that that we did that last episode and it seemed like it came out with arousing rousing joy and please by you guys and parkour Master anybody say that I just said it where’d it go oh it’s right here let’s

Check something before I’m just gonna do a little ground clean up here but let’s check something you know I haven’t since we built our creeper Farm I have not checked to see now I’ve not even afk’d here I’ve just thought well if something spawns in there randomly

Long time and haven’t really figured out how to do it uh but now now I know it’s some really cool tricks that you don’t see very often with walls and glass oh baby okay it’s gonna be a good one but I gotta get this tree torn down foreign Start building something in that area the center of town I want to show you something in my creative world this is where just I do a lot of creative testing but if you give yourself a debug stick you can make blocks do things that they’re not supposed to do that you can

Make it have a block state so normal fence looks like this but there’s something in the code that says when it’s connected to another fence these things come out and another fence these gigs come out so it changes the shape based off of what’s connected to it

There are a lot of blocks in the game that have different block States like this I learned all this when I was doing resource pack stuff but walls have this they have it where there’s this upper thing right and then there’s this lower thing there’s a lot of different block

States for walls you can you can really change them up and make some really interesting Cool Shapes also look at this this boom boom fence gates you can do upper lower lightning rods you can have them just white because when they get struck by lightning they change

Block State into being white like that and then rails that broke that but rails you can even have those sit up like that to make 45 degree angles there’s lots of cool things and I’m seeing this a lot in the building Community where people are using the debug stick quite a bit and

Initially it’s a turn off it’s like well I can’t do that in survival but if anything it’s an inspiration to figure out how can we make things do things like this how can we create that in the survival world we have to make some compromises but to get a wall to do

Something like this what would we have to do to make it happen we’re going to utilize a little bit of that today and I’m pretty excited it’s opening a whole lot of new creative possibilities Aha yes much better huge Improvement the problem before why I was so frustrated with the tree why I always hate tree and I talk about it every episode say I don’t like this is because it was very busy and messy and it was really I mean

If you’re coming down and you want to see this overall view of a village down here a big messy tree well and it wasn’t that big that’s a thing it just blocks The View and it makes it all really hard to see what to

Focus on now if I went real big and had the branches coming up here which I did kind of play with that a little bit that that could have been a thing but this works out real nice wait a second I did this whole thing and I didn’t see

These things hanging here I didn’t see these hey get out of here old tree remnants huh that’s okay uh so hey we did a thing we did a thing that uh we removed an old thing that we built that we didn’t like but we put something really great in its place we’re already

Doing that in this world but check it out pretty cool looking huh what does it symbolize what does it mean nothing you can be you can think of whatever you want we put our own lore Behind these things for me I feel like it’s uh kind of a symbolizing marking point to

Some things that I’m going to start trying as far as building is concerned so you can see now what we’re doing with these glass panes and how we’re forcing the the walls the mossy stone brick walls to do debug stick things where see how it’s coming out right here we get

That little extra bit of detail why because we put this nearly invisible light gray stained glass pane right there and then in the corner these are connecting they’re not watch what happens when this doesn’t connect okay when it doesn’t connect it’s just a wall like that still looks cool still looks

Fine because I’m in a hole but when we do that that just makes it look a little bit nicer so we’re using whenever I want the walls to kind of do something that they aren’t naturally doing I can kind of pull and push them with glass panes

Now here’s how I’m the my thought process behind it okay so there are several cases if you’re going to use this there’s several instances where you could find this useful all right if the the glass pane is going to be kind of reflecting up against something very

Bright like the sky or something like that I’m using light but if it’s in a corner like a corner like this something light would actually stand out quite a bit that’s not gonna look great uh in most cases but adding that almost makes a little bit of a

Depth Shadow right there and you can hardly see it so on those inside corners well that’s kind of an outside corner but this is an inside corner here I’m putting the dark just regular gray stained glass panes and on the outside bits like here I’m using the light gray

And that makes it just kind of disappear your eye really doesn’t see it and believe it or not this is another kind of artistic technique that gets used this is anti oh yeah this is anti-aliasing that happens in like Photoshop what what block here um got a shape so there’s multiple

Techniques as far as like coming around corners from Pixel to pixel uh but you can kind of blur them there’s like you’ll see like a lower opacity pixel in between so this kind of helps with that but look at what this this curve we can make with this so This these don’t

Connect but we can force them to connect and we can force this to come out like this and then we can force that to connect up there and then look at this shape that we just made you look at this kind of you know subtle

C shape that you get out of that that was just a straight line going up and then two randoms but we’re connecting them and you can hardly tell especially if you’re just a little bit away you don’t have to go very far away but look

At that what do you see you see the mossy stone bricks right there you don’t see those glass panes and those glass panes just serve as a little bit of a blending tool not only to pull the block over but visually it helps kind of blend

The two together when you get that kind of Cloudy look in between like that so uh we’re doing anti-aliasing in Minecraft now which is pretty cool and I believe it or not I did use this technique let’s fly for a second I did use that technique over here just a

Little bit and where was I using that ah right here this Warhead so I wanted this point down here to be a little bit more gradual so I used stained glass panes right here I ended up using the dark ones to pull this block out to make it

Look a little bit wider to go up and then just so it didn’t look like two random pixels you know on here and here I just extended it all the way up so I used it a little bit on this I don’t think I used it anywhere else but

It’s such a cool little tool you can throw in your toolbox and start using so with that being said BDubs is gonna need a lot of glass panes I’m going to be making a lot of glass panes and of course you can use red or whatever color

You know best fits the block palette that you’re working with I think it’s just such a cool tool that we can start using here because we’re going to need a lot of glass panes and stuff I’ve already got quite an overflow of glass up in my little storage area up there I

Want to make a glass shop a place that’s going to where I’m gonna store all my glass and I’m thinking this would be a great spot I have quite a bit of mountain clearing to do and initially Let’s Go Fly cam hello gorgeous we will have like a little bit

Leaks in the house I forgot to tell them that and they turned it on by accident and it flooded my office so as you know I just had a big computer uh thing that kind of slowed me down now for the past three days I’ve had heaters and dryers

And dehumidifiers in my office uh because my feet were splashing uh in my office so oh it’s been a fun couple of days hey guys I put these guys here in the witch’s Hut oh and I forgot the amethyst I wanted to breed them uh I put

These guys here for right now to keep them safe because we got them last episode they are tormenting me as you know leads can break sometimes and apparently they especially break with these guys because a couple log in and log outs and the LA’s have broken away

They broke away they got in the nether I had to bring him out of the nether a big mess but they kind of had a lot of atmosphere to this space until I figure out what to use them for which I will at some point I’m very excited to make use of them

Um I’m surprised they’re not used more to be honest but maybe I’ll find out when I dig in with them they fit nice in this witch’s Hut out here you know it’s just a cool place cool scary spooky place and they’re kind of they do kind

Of that weird laugh and stuff but anyway that’s where they’re at if you’re wondering oh oh beat I’ve seen frustrated with you Lay’s last episode where are they now they’re just chilling in there and hopefully out of simulation distance to where they don’t break off

And uh try to get to me that pillar is so nice and clean I love this thing there’s an architectural it looks so cool yeah I I just love it but anyway and it doesn’t block the view of anything you see everything real nice let’s talk here

This first lower level to this place we’re gonna do a couple things you know when you go to like let’s say a tile shop they’re going or a stone or something like that they’re good they sometimes do like you see on the facade on the outside that they do some stuff

To kind of showcase the materials they have or or whatever that’s what we’re gonna do with this we’re gonna do some kind of cool glass tricks with this place here’s something you know I’ve been working for a while I really like grids in glass and I think we kind of got it

Here and here and here but I learned uh that uh one of the best grids you can get for glass is the regular glass look at that if you’re comfortable with white which a lot of Windows have just white grids in them hello this has been sitting here the whole

Time we thought oh stained glass is so great this is the highest contrast you see that white grid so strong look at that window baby that’s a beauty I mean you can put any sort of glass in front of that if you just want it to look white you could put

A white glass in front of it or even this look at this we just put uh boom and then now you well you don’t see the frame as much actually I’m still learning and experimenting interesting okay so that frame shows up a lot better yeah with a stained glass in front of it

So I’m gonna use utilize that on this bottom level which I think will help kind of add some interest we’re always learning I can’t believe it’s 10 years 12 years into this thing and we’re still learning new techniques new ways to do things it’s such a there’s no game like

This it’s so cool but anyway I’m gonna get started on this bottom level oh we got a lot more to go I’m gonna get this bottom level worked out it’s gonna kind of Stay True to this style that we’ve got going on here but then the top will be a little bit different Foreign Good job me wonderful job I built this whole thing you want to know who’s a hero this sweetheart in the flower bed right here I’m a hero because I built this thing and then oh perfect hero shot as well my in-laws my brother-in-law and his family came over two nieces and a

You know that building I used a lot of dead coral and tough and mossy cobblestone here you get a little bit of that tough and mossy cobblestone to keep it consistent we’re gonna do that a little bit here but they’re all gonna feel different and unique in their own way

Here we’re gonna make this one different and unique by taking it whoa we’re whole I am we’re gonna take it up nice and high one of my favorite I remember I went to uh for my senior trip in high school I went to Prague Czech Republic and the

Prague Czech Republic has some of the most beautiful Gothic architecture Gothic architecture is like this is very ornate now this is even like a minimal this would be minimal brutalism compared to what they do just so many pointy sticky out things and beautiful flowing shapes and stuff this is kind of like

Gothic architecture just a a true it’s taking Stone and structure and making it beautiful love this this is even a little Gothic feeling and I’ve always kind of Revisited that and built like that at some point you know put a little bit of Gothic architecture and even today we

Still do that in our buildings um but we’re really going to dial in on that for this upper part we’re really gonna go super hard Gothic style but we always want to okay we talked about these windows down here now you see them in place they’ve got a little bit of a

Blue hint to suggest you know that the sky is blue it’s reflecting off the windows but you also see those grids in there which I think is really cool another thing to pay attention to as we’re going on BDubs is working on shapes you know you want

To get a good shape in for your building that’s one of the first things you want to do so instead of this just being a tall tower I’m adding a little more meat on the bottom by having this little jut out area here just adds a little more visual interest and eventually we’re

Going to build a little bit of uh smaller area out here but let’s stop worrying about that stuff what the future is going to look like and let’s look at this next thing you’re going to see this a lot we’re going to do some pretty cool things here okay so stained

Glass windows how B-Dubs gonna do stained glass windows to that’s one of the best ways to Showcase hey we do window stuff here um I’ve got a new technique and it’s not placing that block there that was a misplace okay this is a new stained glass window technique for me

All right so check this out glazed terracotta okay you can’t see through it can you you cannot see through it so it’s not actually glass but on a building it kind of does give that kind of cool busy glass look oh you should did some of you notice this glow

Like it in my inventory oh did you oh very good if we put this glow like in over it yeah beat ups is made of stained glass window do you see I see I see Stone stained glass window in there sure enough it’s there and secret I don’t know if I’ve

Told you guys this uh maybe I have I’ve slowly been lowering the brightness in the game over hundreds of episodes over the last couple years and I’ve slowly brainwashed you and adapted you to 50 brightness that’s right so some of these Shadows get a little darker and when this is

Kind of in Shadow this will be a little bit darker so that glow like and kind of helps brighten it which I think will be fantastic but nighttime is falling that means I gotta get ready to start building so let’s work on this upper half and see how it turns out Foreign You can’t make deep slate buttons can you I don’t think you can I think blackstone’s the darkest button you could get I’m just thinking a dark button right in the middle there would look really nice but soak it in everybody I’m soaking oh it’s a beaut you don’t need to actually see through

The glass all it’s doing is saying it’s just telling you this is stained glass okay don’t look through the window though cause you can’t see after every build of course I need to go around and walk the path and see what it looks like at all angles so we’ve got a couple

Angles now we’ve got this angle here uh-huh very good you know overall it’s kind of bridging that gap between like something you’d see in a town and some you know maybe it should be like twice as tall but it’s supposed to be like resemble like a shop hello guys doing some

Socializing very good but I’m so happy with this thing I think it looks beautiful look at this stained glass windows from here I’m freaking out this is so cool looking this is the new stained glass windows you’re welcome and now we officially have a place remember

How I said I have a lot of glass I was just kidding um no I kind of do it’s taking up a lot of inventory space so having all of that out of here and then I’ll just put a bunch of dye down here as well

Um but now we can just move it all in oh baby now I did do an interior it’s a half an interior it’s not a full boy it’s not a full blast you know let’s walk in here and brag for a second oh this year this is a full interior

Okay this is uh decked out to the walls every inch covered and thought out and decorated beautifully lots of color and Vibrance and busyness to me yeah it was a dark outside I had to uh creep so that’s like level 10 interior and over there like a level 10 oh I gotta replace

Those leaves on that tree um this is like a level five okay we just got function here but I did build this side shop here again making good use of the walls this is not sharp this just like I think I might put like for a bunch of furnaces in this area that’s

Where I’ll take the sand and make the glass and stuff or maybe get um villager in here but using those walls look or using stained glass paint you didn’t see that from a distance did you you don’t see no stained glass paint up there it just looks like it’s jutting out just a

Little bit and it’s sure enough it’s there yeah they usually some cool stuff but a mix of stone and walls and stuff man walls have been in the game for a long time but I feel like I’ve underutilized them they can be pretty great the roof trying to something a

Little bit different you know always fun things we can try with the roofs and just doing some every other action this one all stairs this one all full blocks and then put in some random noise in the uh just to simulate like some dirtiness on the roof but here’s the inside okay

Of course you know the up the upper part right that right there is called a rose window flight head let’s go up and see so this is kind of difficult and I don’t even know if I did this the right way there’s some like you see these in Gothic architecture and Cathedrals and

Old churches and stuff uh these Rose windows and I think we did okay for the size that we have I think it looks pretty pretty spot on uh but kind of a lot of planning to figure out you know what blocks should go where and you know

This one up or down or all that stuff but I think we ended up with something pretty cool and you don’t notice it from a distance but in there is a lot of wall manipulation I’m making the walls I want this to feel a little bit like an arch

Right here so I make force the walls to come in a little bit there with the fence gate and then using some stained glass in there to kind of make it connect and stuff like that just lots of that wall manipulation that we were talking about earlier implemented into

This thing but boy can you hardly even tell from here you can’t okay let’s go inside this misery right this way I’m utilizing the new bamboo blocks thank you so much Mojang for making this this is the only 1.20 thing in um this build I believe oh and these right here of

Course a couple of these simple okay don’t even look in this room because there’s nothing all right we’ve just got barrels all over the place but enough barrels to where I can have each color of glass can have its own Barrel which is very nice not even fully decorated

Table I used my steep staircase here patented steep staircase which is just sorry my throat it’s just a stare and then a trap door right and you can do steep staircase and here’s the um totally unfinished upstairs all right everybody has seen everything that we need to see great job using uh dead

Coral on the floor it’s 2023 these things have been in the game forever glazed terracotta been in the game forever walls forever and I never used a technique like this and look at how powerful it is with the two things that we built today we built this and we
