I made new unique tridents for Minecraft 1.17

Trading cycle they’re fun not too bad of a weapon and on top of that they get amazing enchantments that make them even more unique so i made a bunch more of them and on top of that i added new features as well as reworks and a few fixes to the existing tridents

And cherry on top it’s for minecraft 117. let me show you what i did let’s start with the new trade instant mod ads getting a trade-in can somewhat feel very very long as it’s not always that a drone spawns with one and when it drops it it’s really really rare

As an early game trident impaled adds a nude item called the pitchfork all you need for it is just iron bars sticks and you can get yourself a pitchfork now the pitchfork is as i just mentioned an early game version of the trident you can just

You know throw it or hit it however you would use a trident however it’s limited by its durability which is already very reduced compared to the normal trident which has a 250 durability this one only has 150 which is lower than iron and oh my god which is as you can see

Still a good weapon nonetheless as you can use it against your foes but that’s not all pitchforks did i hear farming well perfect you’re in luck you can also use the pitchfork to make farmland basically cultivate your land this way which is a nice little detail that is utterly useless don’t get me

Wrong but you know you can still do your farming with that new trident ripoff now the whole point being tridents is that they are usable underwater they are the only projectile that goes underwater that the player can use that travels very well underwater just as well as in air but don’t get fooled

The pitch 4 is absolutely no perfect replacement for the trident it’s just as terrible as arrows underwater or any projectile so it’s no perfect replacement for the trident it’s just here you know to to fill the void before you get a trident as i just mentioned

You still might want to get yourself an actual trident and it’s going to be truer than ever as the next tridents i’m going to present to you are actually based on the normal trident meaning you’ll need an actual trident in order to obtain them and the first of these tridents

Will be located in the depths of the nether and more precisely in the piglen bastion remnants treasure rooms now you have a 50 chance so it’s not guaranteed but let’s hope we’re lucky there and we are you can get an ancient trident in a poor state it is

Very very broken down let’s let’s bring it back to the other world and actually work on it now that we’re back from the never let’s get to work and let’s actually use that ancient trident and repair it but to do that we’ll as i said need an actual trident so let’s combine these

To get a hell fork now this health fork stems from the idea that we have tridents but we don’t have devil forks and you know devil folks are just school at its core this is pretty much a netherland upgrade to the health walk but it’s not just that

It’s not just as boring it will also put enemies on fire and as you can just see here uh i have canvas installed and my dear darling is this wonderful oh my god this is really pretty so as you can see it glows it’s pretty hot uh and just cook that pig

It also has a boost in durability compared to the normal tridents and naturally it won’t burn in the fire so is that just it another right trident that puts enemies on fire but can we enchant it that’s the question i’m asking myself here and yes we can we currently have riptide

3 on it and uh i’m trying i’m trying but it doesn’t work and that’s right because riptide is completely changed on this trident and as you probably guessed it riptide only works once you’re on fire and once you’re on fire you can actually fly so if you’re courageous

Or like me you have fire resistance potions you can use it to yes riptide in lava let’s just let me just show you you can use it to reap type through lava now it’s not as efficient as a strider but since lava puts you on fire for quite

Some time as you probably guessed it already and naturally that means you won’t be able to use this riptide trident under the rain or inside water but i mean if it’s not raining often you know it’s a nice trade and you know it’s just doing pretty well and than

Ever you just gotta be careful about your landing and once you get it light trash it it you know it just it just becomes even better it’s like well this sounds very nice and all to be able to fly once you’re on fire but it just sounds worse than being able

To fly when it’s raining because you know when it’s raining you can just fly as you want with a riptide 3 trident well do not fret because this trident has a special ability that enables it to absorb heat so if you have a lava cauldron like here

And you use the hellfort on it you will be able to heat it up however you you’ll naturally take fire damage but you know you can still use riptide whenever you want if you want to save yourself a world of hurt and you know just disable that heating feature well

You know just use it on a water cauldron or a powder snow cauldron because you know it’s cold and we’re in 1.17 so why wouldn’t you be able to do that so yeah once you have a heated riptide 3 hellfork a good pair of elytra and some fire resistance potion

Well you’re pretty much just free to go anywhere you want to go and it’s just basically the best new way to travel around also look at that nice render when you use the riptide free health fork originally the trident is from the sea and the next trade-in that is added by

Impaled honors its origin now in order to obtain that trident you’ll first need to wander your way through an ocean monument and slay an elder garden and if you successfully manage to defeat on elder guardian with a melee attack with a trident or a throne loyalty 3 trident

You will pop its eye out finally after long and watery johnny we’re back at our base let’s get to work just right now and by combining a nail the guardian eye with a normal trident we get an elder trident now what does it do exactly well it’s smart now as you can see

It has an eye embedded near the head of the trident and if we just try to hit a four in the distance as you can see just hit that ship even though my aim wasn’t perfect as you can see it has an aim assist perfect hit now there’s another thing that you might

Have noticed not right away but i have wool and the closest ship i got was there and that’s right let me just clear my inventory to show you but if you kill anything with it it will bring back the drop to you i mean that is if you have loyalty 3. if

You don’t have loyalty 3 on it and you kill an animal with it you’ll notice it doesn’t drop anything apart experience but once we pick up the trident we get the loot now even though this trident is well you know made from a deep sea creature it’s paradoxically very efficient

Against flying creatures like phantoms and gas let me just show you on that gas real quick we got the gas drops and they didn’t drop in the lava and we got them right in our inventory now as you can see on the phantoms as well it’s pretty efficient coming back for them

And hitting them back again let me just show you again my aim was terrible there and it still goes back and hit them so it is your new best friend against phantoms just just perfect but now you’ll tell me wait if we have riptide 3 on it isn’t it just utterly useless

Because all its features are located in the fact that it’s able to aim and bring back luke to you well not really as you can see as i rip tight through the ocean it will send three guardian versions of itself and these guardian versions well they are just as efficient as the normal

Trident they’ll also have a name assist and will also bring back loot to you and depending on the level of riptide you’ll throw either one two three depending on how much the enchantment has but yeah you can just pretty much trip tight through the ocean and

Get some loots as well in the process as you can see my my hotbar is just filling up and the last and final quirk of the elder trident is when it has channeling on it when it has channeling on it and it hits a player now you won’t be able to see the

Particle because i’m playing with canvas but it gives the exact same effect as an elder guardian normally it also displays the particle and you just heard the sound but with canvas in the latest snapshot it doesn’t work very well but i mean the effect is still

Here so it’s still pretty useful in pvp for the fourth and final tried and impaled ads you’ll need to get your hands on an enchanted golden apple and combine it with a trident to give you the atlan very subtle reference i know now why a golden apple you know how gold

Has enchantability properties uh and you know it’s an enchanted golden apple so it’s like more enchantable or whatever and uh although it’s still an apple just please and question my logic anyway once you get your ratlin it’s uh you may be a bit disappointed although it does look very nice and

Glowy if you have canvas jesus that looks stunning that looks really really really pretty anyway let’s stop contemplating this beauty and ask the real question again why is it exactly so special yeah okay now as you can see from that extensive enchantment list it does not only accept training enchantments

It also accepts sword enchantments such as sharpness 5 or sweeping edge free or knockback 2. i mean you get it and the whole reason behind this is because a few days ago when i checked the trident page because i was about to make this mod i read that these enchantments actually work

On the trident by default you just can’t obtain them in survival so yeah it is possible to get such a trident in vanilla minecraft in creative or with cheats i just made it possible in survival and as you can see it works pretty well now adding new tridents is not the only

Thing impel does for the occasion my good friend pyrofab added a new level to loyalty since the loyalty now as you can see i’ve got a loyalty three trident and a heart of the sea on me and you know i’m just gonna go ahead and combine these two to get a

Loyalty for trident to doctorate see the thing is tridents in minecraft seem really inspired from thor they’re loyal and come back to you you can use thunder with them when it’s raining and thundering and technically you could also say they are very similar to thor when using mjolnir to fly

When you have riptide and you just do it in the rain but now i ask you thor can command his hammer to come to him but why can’t we do that well you probably guessed it already but this is what since the loyalty does whenever you drop your trident whether

It be you want to actually drop it or you actually die and your train drops to the ground it will drop it as an actual trident and not an item and holding right click with an empty hand we’ll call it back to you now as you can

See here it’s not limited to simple tridents you can literally have your own armada of tridents and just call them whenever you need them it’s just that wonderful and uh yeah there we go there’s the elder trident and the detail that kills with sincerely loyal tridents is that whenever you recall your trident

But it’s in the inventory of another player the trident will exit that player’s inventory to come back to you now obviously i’m in a single player world so i can’t really showcase this to you because i have no friends or i’m too lazy i don’t know which one will convince you

The most so you choose and another amazing thing about loyalty 4 is that it’s not mutually exclusive with riptide so if you have a loyalty full trident and you try to put riptide on it you’ll actually be able to do that now naturally you won’t be able to throw it

Anymore just like a riptide trident but whenever you die or drop it well you can call it like a loyal trident another thing impel does is fix impaling well that would be out of character if it didn’t do that as well impelling in vanilla as everyone knows is very very disappointing

It only deals extra damage to sea creatures like fish guardians squids no no no no no no not the drone because the drowned are undead they’re not actual sea creatures so even for that it’s not useful so what impale does is that it changes this behavior

So try to instill more damage whenever a mob is touching water or in the rain now this is very very similar to how impelling works in the combat snapshots but we were tired of waiting so we just implemented it early so as you can see if i use it on the

Skeleton it takes one two three hits i have currently impaling five on that trident but if i use it on this skeleton that’s inside the water he only dies in two hits so yeah now impelling is actually useful and with the outland it’s just even better smite five and impaling five

Well you can literally one shot basic undead hold on i also need channeling for a convincing effect that’s right get smite smitten uh get under zapped and for the hellforg it works a bit different impaling will not deal additional damage to mobs touching water but it will deal additional damage to

Mobs resisting to fire so as you can see i’ve got this unenchanted hell fork and if i try to kill a zombified piglet on it there we go just three hits but if we try that with impaling five it only takes two hits now it also works

For mobs or players under the effect of fire resistance which means that if you use an impaling hell fork on a witch she’ll just you know drink a little fire resistance motion you good you’re good buddy yeah you’re good because uh now you take more damage so they will basically

Doom themselves one final little quality of life fix impel brings is that loyal tridents will come back to the right slot in your inventory which means that you can finally dual wheel trident with like a trade in your half hand and a sword in your main hand and attack with your sword and

Still throw your trident and it will come back in your hand now that is pretty much it about this showcase of impaled and i hope you enjoyed it but if you stay this long you deserve to know about the maelstrom this item is the whole reason why this mod was made in 1.17

Why because as you can see it’s made out of copper and in the end i didn’t even feel accomplished by what i implemented the idea just sounded cooler in my head so for now it’s a bit in an unfinished state so you can only access it in creative

Mode but i’m still going to show you what it does what it does is when you right click it or use it you will throw a trident from your inventory now it will work with any trident and you can keep holding to just you know keep sending

Tridents and if you have loyal tridents well they’ll come back to you so it’s pretty much an open way to have infinite projectiles and it just makes bose and crossbow a bit obsolete once you get enough titans but the real trouble starts once you apply efficiency on it because it will reduce
