So I was never that interested in Minecraft because of the lack of combat content (compared to Terraria), so for my childhood I’ve been Mining/Crafting in Terraria. But yesterday my friend in college invited me to play Minecraft and bought the game for me on iPad.
We planned to do multiplayer together tonight, and I figured that’s I probably should get into the game now to get used to it.
I created a hard world and went in, spawned next to a cave with a water fall, by this point through internet I already know the basic mechanics of the game, so I crafted the stone pickaxe and went down the cave. I got iron immediately so I went back up, made a tiny base and crafted the iron equipments.
As I go down the second time I reached this big underground cavern with stone pillars, and there are exposed diamonds everywhere!?
Shouldn’t diamonds be kinda rare?
I mined some while avoiding enemies and went back up.
Opened my inventory and got 20 diamonds!?
I crated the world 32 min ago, messed around chopping trees for about 10 min, been typing for about 5 min.
So basically if I know how to play the game I can get diamonds in 10 min?
TL;DR: first time playing MC, got 20 diamonds without trying, now confused.
