Hello I’m a vxv cat and just like a country there are many ways to run a minecraft server but almost all of them involve putting some phone for 40-some figurehead in charge of it where it’s a moderator an admin or an Opie there’s someone who sets the rules that everyone Else has to follow and people generally grow resentful off that fact people don’t like to be ruled by another human being which is why today I figured we take a page from the theocracy book and we would set our ruler as God that’s right this is going to be a Christian Minecraft server we’ve got a 256 by 256 well again the old start minecraft bedrock worlds that look something like this normally although our map will look something a little bit more like this it’s a small change but it’s a welcome one and the goal here is not to assume Everyone who passes fruit will be so devoutly Christian that they’ll believe that this person on the minecraft server has their best interests at heart and that they should follow the rules because of that but instead because of the Christian minecraft server meme I assume that people will follow the Minecraft rules of the server because of the fact that they want to keep the meme up memes are like modern-day religions and the Christian minecraft server meme might be the biggest one yet it’s my number one most requested server and the goal is to use that to make people be Nice to each other but let’s see if that works so all I’m gonna do is repeatedly say this is a Christian minecraft server be nice and we’re gonna see how well that goes and people are going to say to praise our Lord Jesus Christ it’s gonna you know we’re gonna have this thing Where everyone’s believing in the same thing there isn’t actually being building across as I say that how beautiful again known presumably again the Minecraft of demographics and the Christian demographics don’t line up perfectly right but in spite of that people are going to ironically do it and Then ironically make a good point craft server and at that point what is the difference and so now we leave the server and we see how people can terraform it and make it into their own I mean in the first 10 minutes songs already built a giant cross again there Is no reason to do this besides the fact that it vaguely hints it’s a Christian minecraft server you know they likely don’t even show me believe in it but they stick to the mean they stick the roleplay and they might make a good server for it the whole point of these Experiments is to leave people alone for a long time with a simple set of rules and see how well how precisely they can follow it and right now things are looking pretty good huh will they improve the terrain like this and make nice little castles in the Mountains or will it be even more for mess at the end of a week or so of leaving people around like this also apparently I be extra Jesus is what they call me do not agree with this in the slightest just want to clarify that right now it is really impressive what People will come together into I mean very few people want to build a church but again you make the meme that it’s a Christian minecraft server people should be nice and wow they build a really really pretty nice Church actually I’d say it’s a bit too cool heavy but you Know you can fix that in the next few days it’s a ham you know what this religion clearly allows for eating of pigs I don’t know how we got to the point where we started role-playing Church less than a day into this experiment but apparently that’s a thing People do communally come to one place just to hear some book reading you know I need to go check what’s in the book let’s find out the book says the 10 commandments huh looks like they wrote them all out that’s nice oh wait you look are those the real Ten Commandments I just realized I think they legitimately are and you can’t write adultery in Minecraft according to this page so fun fact in Minecraft we have a little church and it’s beautiful in my opinion what a wholesome church this is to you know if priests said stuff like That and you know shouted you out for dropping a dono in the chat maybe we’d all be more inclined to go to church more often right so as you all know the only rule on the server is to be nice and so far that’s yielded pretty good Results it seems but you know what it’s a little bit too easy mode what we have to do to match a real religion is start with be nice or rather be nice that’s what he said or we lose our progress because if anyone hacks or does not nice Things we reset the realm we have that power but we’re gonna do is we’re gonna go ahead and we’re gonna add more rules every single day so now it’s been nice but also as well as that what you want to do is you want to follow the Ten Commandments and just like real religion threatens to send you to hell this religion threatens to ban you from my minecraft server and just like how real religion has you know the threat of hell if you don’t follow their rules in this if you don’t follow the 10 commandments You’ll be banned two simple rules could be nice follow those Commandments and then you’ll be fine you won’t have to be banned or have your whole life destroyed and reset as we do for hackers and other various things like that so yeah we’re going to keep on rolling around the Server every you know a few hours and we’re gonna make sure that people follow the rules if they breach any of those Commandments they you know they’ll unleash the wrath that we can impart as the god head of state also minecraft server owner and in that case the most Serious punishment the one I had to just give to username nine eight eight six is a ban because I’m pretty sure not hacking or duplicate gonna minecraft server comes under the fifth commandment tell me if you think I’m wrong and yeah we’re gonna continuously roll in and out Ban people based on that criteria should be a lot of fun so I have a confession to make I got really busy with some of the stuff I was doing to do if the never update and I may have just been gone about the realm for three weeks which if You think about it is kind of accurate that’s what God has done with the wall does he not he’s just forgotten about us left us runnin by ourselves and yeah as a result the brown because she’s pink owned by itself with no ro direction or purpose the cross wing has stayed again Just being called Christian minecraft server has led to a lot of crosses being made even on a statue of toy cat looks like right there actually is that just behind me does it just look like oh it is behind but um yeah they made beautiful statues of Twix at beautiful Churches and a beautiful cross even it seems as though we’ve gone to communist religion oh look at this there’s a little Maps equation going on here they plot equals cross plus or communism wait communism plus religion equals yes well Stalin certainly Disick reefs of you there but otherwise you know apparently This this realm has gone pretty well we I know we’ve been for some cycles that been some people who have crashed it and then uncrushed it but it seems as though the end result is pretty nice right I mean even look at this look at this you Know like swamp right here it’s been cobbled beliefs I love the look of you know filling in a river with leaps it’s a suggestion I made before but the way it pulls up in reality is absolutely beautiful but again I really do need to clarify it this was a mistake I did just Accidentally leave it I gave people the impression this was a religious minecraft server in the sense that God abandons you and I guess it’s nice that they didn’t abandon God even when the reverse happened you know that’s a whole message we could prove by ourselves but let’s just roll it back and let’s Pretend none of this happened and let’s see if anyone even notices because I want to keep the original train of everyone should worship me thing going because they’re not doing a good enough job right now after God abandons them some people just start building normal things like this thing Right here this random cube like these little houses you can see over here no everyone should be focused on worshiping me I am jealous and I’m gonna make sure they do this time okay so as far as anyone is concerned this is day two there was there were no days in between This is Groundhog’s Day if I don’t rise to acknowledge it we will just remove them from existence and we’ll see if things go better this time because they went pretty well with no intervention so the hope is it will only go better if I keep intervening and we keep adding our Rules to the sign because Ten Commandments and Christian minecraft server be nice that’s something I think we could expand a little every single day as so many people come back cuz no one’s here right now so things are going pretty well on the server so far and for Day 3 we’re adding a nother rule to the totem pole and we’re gonna pretend it’s been there all the time so as well as being nice and follow the Ten Commandments they’re pretty basic moments to follow in my opinion you also have to attend church every day it’s Very very important that you do those things I mean if you just do these two things by yourself you’re still gonna go to hell you’re still a bad person it’s important that you also go to my place every single day a place that worships me in some form because if you don’t Worship me every day then you’re basically as bad as anyone else that is the key thing we need to get done right here and yet there’s a lot of churches around the round portion utley so you can choose any one of them as long as they stick to the principle of Worshiping toy cat and following those Commandments then it’s all okay I think and just like all the good churches from the Middle Ages all of the property is on collectively by the church there is no such thing as individual property the church kind of owns everything and it Did ease it up according to people’s needs so we’ve got some sheep farming owned by the church we’ve got some cow farms owned by the church even some pig farms as well all of this you can get as long as you want if the good people that follows Religion you know you might say that having one entity being controlled parenting is a bad idea but clearly on this server it works pretty great I mean look how great civilizations gone in just the last 24 hours alone you can see how far it progressed see if you steal my stuff I’ll be very sad no frets no enough that no stuff like that just oh yeah you can do it if you want to but you’d be a bad person if you did we’re using shame as our currency rather than anything else and it seems to be working you know what This guy needs to be shamed a little bit more but you can see how the server is vaguely working just off the principle of shame and be nice there is also something to be said for people working together on something when people have common goals they’re less likely to do If you have common goals they’re less likely to you know mess each other up on purpose right because if you’ve got the same you know goals between you you’ll want to achieve them together if you put someone else you just hurt your own goals whereas when you’re all doing your Own separate thing hurting someone else is to your benefit so having everyone work towards the best man of the realm the betterment of the tweaked-out churches that’s a great thing in my opinion like I mean if you go for all of the effort to require all of the wood to Put a giant statue together you know it’s the sole thing that makes people bond slowly and you know as you can see everyone here seems to be vaguely on the same side we’ll see if that lasts but I believe that this time just having the dumb joke to stand behind and having the Dumb joke get harder and harder to enforce it might actually work or maybe like all normal religions they’ll slowly collapse and splinter into a lot of different other movements let’s hope not that second one though so a new day rises on the toy cat Christian server And as you can see things have improved significantly in every conceivable way things have just gone bigger and better the churches have improved the communal farms and property owned by the church have improved the big crosses that are all across this world have gone more plentiful and something I find kind of Crazy the arbitrary rules that I just placed on signs I didn’t protect very well usually I tried to put on bedrock or something good idea for any server to protect your signs by the way but people have normally protected them but they moved them case for case in two Different places so that they’re more visible when you spawn in here are the Ten Commandments here the rules that you gotta follow it’s pretty basic just be nice and then you know follow the Ten Commandments or we ban and go to church every day but people have not only followed them but people Have taken it to the next level and started to you know like you know indoctrinate them across the world and again people know the exact sign which is crazy in my opinion we also have a Christian cultists fire but besides that the fact that people have ran with the Idea and not just memed on it and being like oh yeah I guess we’ll follow that but also enshrined it into law have multiple copies of these Commandments across the world have all of this cross stuff and all of the good things you can see across here we’ve not a single Griefing project as far as I can tell it’s the success I was hoping for but didn’t really believe what happened like people have really taken to this theme and it’s gone they’re like inner potential energies out there to be actually useful it seems like oh yeah here’s this holy water fountain sure It’s just water but it’s kind of a cool way to do it look at this like cross thing in the sky I love this design people are being really creative and it’s too something that I don’t imagine the vast majority they believe them because they don’t believe in the Religion itself they believe in the mean potential of a Christian minecraft server and by mean being nice to each other they’re actually being real nice to each other and to the world it’s funny that somehow if you convince people they’re being ironic if they get along with each other well that they Will get along with each other and do nice things and cooperate and make a world that really can’t be explained in many other ways be art besides just saying it’s kind of shocking actually not this is this is the least cooperative thing we’ve seen so far literally across my entire tour so far Just a sign you know it’s not even that wrong right rich people Church if you’re poor go away you are like how potato juice tastes I’ve never tried potato juice I should try it out of this shouldn’t I but yeah the fact that the worst thing about this entire realm that you know Hundreds of people have come into announcer over the last four days the worst thing is there’s like a bad joke you know a version of gatekeeping that’s the worst singular thing we can point out here there is some beautiful art made out of granite and andesite and Diorite I mean like I couldn’t make this if I was trying to again people’s creative energies exist and you know doing something for a real reason like to make something cool who wants to do that these Paul I’m doing too much of that and they’re normal times doing something Because Christian minecraft servers need to succeed in you can’t swear on my Christian minecraft server apparently a good enough reason to keep things going so now I guess we should really start ramping up the restrictions and seeing if people can keep following them even when it gets kind of hard cuz that’s What religion does too you know you start you start easy to get everyone following you and then you start to build things up and make them more complex so let’s head back to the spawn area pass this delightful sugarcane farm and let’s let’s have a new rule and so Just like every other movement out there that starts by just trying to get people to be better to themselves in each other eventually we’ve gone a little bit of a power trip and we say that if people talk about you know we’re gonna force positive action not just say they can’t Do negative things we’re gonna make sure that they do something that’s not talking about God if they talk about a single other thing they will be banned by default we’re gonna start looting the hammer that we apparently have over these people and we’ll be seeing if that Improves things or if that’s the moment the things change because I personally think that people will be terrified and realize that they need this because you know the the power of this compels you I believe is that thing that people say oh this is so cool like I didn’t I didn’t Realize we turned into one of those religions but apparently we think pigs are the anti Jesus and by we I mean the people on this server very confusing but it looks like the grand Church is finished so that’s a that’s a nice thing that’s happened over the course of today Oh this is such a trippy way to do a wall but I love it alright again the creative energies that went into building this thing for a joke has to be said they are impressive it is day five and although some people had some amusing reactions for the new rule It does seem as though we have a server where people are only talking about the Lord’s name itself which is a very confusing thing that there’s no religion based on religion we’ve come up with is it some religion but the weird thing is the fact that this has been wildly Successful in ways that are really really great to look at and really just again impressive like these walls that been built just in the last 24 hours super nice but then it’s really impressed in some ways that make me go oh my god how and why and how and why like Sign garden where someone’s been praying by a Minecraft sign you can see just how many of these there really are it’s an absurd amount of writing to be doing but it seems to be something that’s done regardless fascinatingly enough they’ve even taken advantage of one of the bugs in Minecraft code right now to make this thing where you can fly through the air using gloss I mean again the creativity made possible here is pretty staggering this was a tiny world but let me tell you when I say the creativity is not just this tiny in so many ways this World is impressive and staggering but again we can dive into that when things go well after this for now though I’ve decided I need to really test the loyalty of these people to really see if they are dedicated to this bear now to do something as crazy as to remove every Single grass block in this world you can tell looking at this map that there is a lot of brass I mean every Minecraft world is made up of a top layer of grass and I want that entire top layer to be removed from the entire thing and you Can see how by the way in the three seconds since I wrote that sign we already got someone immediately going at it like yep I don’t care the damage this does the fact that this has built a support we’ve removed the grass and we deal with that later I love the to say the least but um yeah I want to see if by tomorrow we can remove the grass blocks if we’ve gone from having powers of just being nice to following some stuff to like controlling the chat to actually controlling people’s actions in ways that don’t even Make sense because again we’re weird really going down the nice religious trajectory right here you know it’s times like this where I consider though I might be a very good cult leader if I put my mind where so there’s a future so to be entirely honest of you when I set That goal up it was mostly just there so we could have a failure and a punishment because we still haven’t caught anyone not talking about God Eva we’ve had people be very very strict and following the rules even one which is basically made not to be followed the world is Filled with grass paths now instead of grouse and I guess that’s just how things are gonna be even if you look at this map right here something insane that you can see is that the entire world is now pathway blocks you can see a few parts where it’s not but this is Actually outside the world border and even when it’s outside the world border which you can very clearly see because the big brown line they’ve gone outside the bottle of shovels and still managed to turn some of that into Park Blocks regardless that is absolute insanity that anyone could do that in the Slightest but if you set the world sighs too old in bedrock which is entirely valid for offline worlds when you set it for a multiplayer realm you get this weird outside the world effect where there’s a llama there’s a there’s a creeper or two there’s a little wave Things and you can actually play around blocks out there you can’t see what they are until you break them and sometimes get them back oh that’s a tree right there but yeah there there are blocks that exist outside the world and it’s very strange to play around with because we Can even place our own blocks over here if we really want to and it makes for some very weird circumstances anyway this is mostly a serve bug but it does sometimes happen off the servers also wait a minute I found a grass flock AB have I found The greatest sin of all I think I have more seriously though this world is 256 by 256 which means that if you do the maps that’s roughly 65,000 blocks of grass that have to be converted into dirt or into dirt pathway it’s insane the amount of effort went in here with the only Real exceptions being places like this where signs already placed down I mean we can’t remove all of this right that is just a rule I can’t you know except in my life but like for the most part they went through and they did 65,000 blocks worth of stuff I’m not Sure at this point if I can come up with anything that can be reasonably failed on a mass scale so instead what I’m gonna do is I’m gonna test a little bit of an additional point right here again I think we’ve proven pretty well that people can follow a religion of any form It doesn’t have to be a real religion it can be a mean religion having some roofing in our heads some set of rules to follow with some decide outcome is some of the works in so many different ways we like to think that it’s only something that idiots you know do and They used to follow religion all those hundreds of years ago but the truth is there are many versions that kind of take a big modern you know version of religion sometimes people use politics isn’t a version for that but there are lots of groupings people take upon amongst themselves and lots of actions Those groups have that you have to do you don’t question why you do them you just do them kind of regardless and that’s why I feel like the most powerful thing we can actually do is remove the rulz no going to church everyday no more tanker moments we’re taking that book Away instead we’ve got the ten cash recommence which is just a book that says shrek on every single page it’s a very good book I think and we’re removing the Christian server Monica and even the be nice bra it’s just gonna be the 10 cash recomment switch again High-quality book in my opinion and but we’re gonna just have that book right there and we’re gonna see how if we remove the rules people still follow them like they’re still there or once you tell people they don’t need to follow and more people go into Anarchy is having a good fundamental Basis for society even if it’s a joke even if it’s not a good religion if it’s just a set of rules that people feel obliged to follow is that a good thing if you then remove the rules or do you require strict hard rules with the constant threat of you know banning you Know the worst thing that can happen murder death etc do you need to like punish people with eternal hell or can you trust people once it becomes their nature to keep doing what they’re doing this is genuinely the kind of like second bonus experiment here because again usually something goes wrong I Hope that it never does and this a lot of the time it doesn’t just under 12 hours after switching over to the Shrek moments well things look like this now so thank you very much watching this realm experiment it was definitely the weirdest one of all of them because it Just started with the dumbest meme idea I would say but it eventually became so much more it became a very successful you know idea somehow something that you wouldn’t have expected again I I was sure that the first people would like love the me my dear but eventually it Would descend into anarchy but this is the only server where people have made nice little you know communal property they’ve made their own little you know areas without ruining the inside thing you can see how the whole world was shaped in the image of the the very god Fella himself the one directing it look at this delightful recreation of my skin but the world was shaped into a perfect thing of just worship and churches and removing all of the grass to make lovely you know dirt path land instead it looks like an apocalypse has happened here Which protect this might be a fun way to goof around via Minecraft world but basically this was a really really really bizarre experiment with really bizarre results and I’m not sure what to learn from them besides you know what we should start a cult and yeah I Guess that’s the key lesson right here is that in 2020 you can’t start a new religion that’s not really how it works you can but generally speaking you’re starting a cult you can make a cult around pretty much any leader you want we’ve seen it in the you know the Political space where the nails are done we’ve seen it in the you know the religious space with weird alien based religions like Heaven’s Gate but basically you can unite people around pretty much any course if you’re charismatic enough and that’s why you should be careful not be United around The wrong cause even if it seems like it’s the right cause because all of the crazy people who do crazy things think they’re doing the right thing until it’s too late and that’s an important thing to remember anyway thank you very much watching for this video I hope you
