I Spent over 100 Days Building the SWAMP UPDATE in Hardcore Minecraft Survival

Disgusting swamp biomes that we have inside of minecraft currently i wanted to create my own i just need to clear out every single one of these trees so i guess with that it’s time to clear some land for a beacon and get to work right away chopping as many trees as we

Possibly can throwing on the haste 2 to speed this up as much as possible i thought this process would be moving way quicker than it is but unfortunately or maybe fortunately jungles have a lot of leaves and a lot of logs however after nearly 30 minutes of tree shopping i

Felt like i’d done near to nothing except somehow i managed to fill up every single one of the shulker boxes i had brought with me decided to run back home and get even more of them but flying back over to the jungle i was in for a wee bit of a surprise

That was way too close now scared half to death quite literally it was back to the grind of chopping trees over two hours have passed by and i kept chopping trees and clearing the underbrush to finally have a zone cleared out for us to build our swamp in the jungle and as

They casually landed on a tree to look over it well you’ll see oh my god i just landed in the totem pops um okay getting into one of those before we continue i’ll take that right there thank you very much but alas there were still as always more trees to chop down

It’s it’s there’s a lot there we’ve we’ve done a lot of tree chopping today we have finally done it my friends the ground is now clear so we can see what we’re working with and oh my lord do i still have a lot of terrain to be

Removing as the water levels all the way down there a swamp above ground probably doesn’t work out that well it’s an ocelot hi buddy i guess it’s time to continue on with the grind work and see if we can’t level the strain out a little bit more so we can actually build

A swamp in this environment this massive grind is going to make my stats look insane as we near day 1 500 at this point but it’s made me realize something very very important i only have one another right shovel and well it’s almost broken it’s gonna be a

Very long process out here if we keep that up which is one of these boys now do we have any netherright that’s gonna be the huge question in here no we don’t even have a single ancient debris okay diamond shovels it in we’ve got a lot of levels right now so enchanting them

Shouldn’t be a problem at all all right that’s a good start oh gotta reroll that one okay okay i like that guy too good thing the decorations in here are made of anvils because that dude is ready to go awesome we got four shovels and only

Down about 40 levels trying to be as efficient as i can here i figured since we’re in the nether i should head up to the gold farm and one repair the elytra because it’s about to break and two repair the shovel this always just makes me feel endgame minecraft doesn’t matter

Where it is what server i’m on or whatever i’m doing standing at one of these end game oh well time for the other end game thing that we’re doing finishing digging a giant hole in the ground because we can so i turned on the 12 hour extended version of diggy diggy

Whole and got to work resulting in everything being cleared out to water level funny running into you here again yeah yeah yeah we uh we broke seven tools in this i think what is even more impressive than going through the seven tools is every single one of these

Shulker boxes up here is full full of materials we built almost a beacon out of shulker box and the worst part of it all is i just realized now that i need to take this down one more layer to fill it with water and that’s not good

But it is a swamp after all so maybe we can be smart here and use this to build the little swampy islands as we’re going starting off with clearing a main pathway from entrance a to entrance b over here so that we can create a way to

Move a boat throughout this whole thing then from here we start carving out different shapes or islands so maybe we have a dude right over in here we create a little bit of space and maybe do another longer one right along here a little tiny round guy in here i think

I’ve got just about as much figured out as we can for this area without actually turning it all into dirt and filling it with water so we’ve got a bunch of weird little islands happening down here which i really like so next up is going to be

Finding all of the grass blocks that we have inside of here and running along and replacing all of these islands that we just made with grass blocks with the shapes figured out in here it’s just gonna take some time to actually get all of these blocks in we are flying towards day 1500

Way quicker than i thought we would we’re already on day 1400 at this point seems like doing the border and then coming back in and just filling in the entire interior space is the quickest way to get this done right now more and more of these island structures are coming together here and

The vision the vision i’ve been seeing in my brain the whole time i’ve been working on this is really starting to come to life with the final blocks of grass over here we are done we are done building out the islands and check this out look at that crazy pattern we have down

Here and i’ve come up with a fantastic idea for the walls too well the cliff faces i should say but before we do that let’s get some water in here trusty buckets ready to go and allowing the water to flow free it’s time to fill this entire area With all of the water in here it is looking a hundred times better and that is fantastic but we still have quite a few sinkholes and well mostly all of the stone and things underneath i don’t want any of that next step here is gonna be

Grabbing a bunch of dirt the reason we still have the beacon up is i have to clear another layer down below so we can fill it all in with the beautiful dirt this is gonna be really painful and i should have done it before putting the

Water in but we’ll make it happen i’ve got this whole section done and the brown dirt underneath the water looks so much better holy cow it’s like a million times better a bajillion times better the number’s just going to keep getting higher deal with it i seem to have found

A friend out here hi buddy come here come here let me make sure you live here now get the bucket okay you live over here now don’t go down there don’t go down there don’t go down there no no you stay in the swamp you live in the swamp the

Axolotl of the swamp just like the lady of the lake except cuter yeah that’s a swamp i’m definitely not going insane trying to place all this dirt down here no no no no no not at all just talking axolotls it’s okay i thought me trying

To finish my castle base by day 1000 was insane enough and now i’ve spent over 30 days just placing dirt blocks and breaking a bunch of stone to be able to build a swamp but i’m very happy to say that i believe it is done as far as

Placing all the dirt down and oh this looks so good now for the next layer of dirt because these islands we don’t want them to be flat yep more more dirt please Landing on top of the trusty tree that has definitely not almost killed us today look at this my friends it’s looking so much better in here i am going insane placing dirt and i instead want to work on the cliff faces around here so that we can really make it feel

Like this environment is stuck inside of here and with that i’ve been playing a lot and i mean a lot of new world recently they mostly use giant boulders stacked on top of each other to form walls and cliff faces and things like that so i’m thinking we employ the style

That we went with on these boulders and just smack them all over the place around the entire perimeter of our swamp grabbing some mossy carpets stone and a sight and all of the tough i could muster it’s time to get work building out the base shapes first and then using

The andesite as a highlight and the tough as a darker shadow on the bottom to help add some depth into this thing otherwise it’s gonna be chaotic i was able to finish up a quick concept that i did really enjoy so now it’s time to go crazy and finish these around the entire

Swamp Finally all of the stone is in place and now it is time to add in as much of the andesite as we possibly can and i started on the tough but unfortunately ran out very quickly making this a bit of a tough situation okay i ran over to the 1.17 mine and

Tried to get as much tough as i could but my god it is difficult to gather running around and mining for nearly 30 minutes before i found any and then the first ones i found i lost in lava i’m so annoyed at how long it’s taken to get this stuff i’m not even

Gonna make the joke i’m not even gonna do it that’s how annoyed i am i’m i’m just for once i’m gonna hold back and i’m not making the joke about tough block and that only gave us a stack in 43 this is rather difficult see i could

Have done it right there i could have done it that was a perfect that was like a nice softball and i didn’t even take it flying back to the swamp to be i was able to throw all of the tough blocks down finally we are now done with the

Base level of terraforming around this area after what feels like an eternity but look at this cliff face i love it it’s so roughened up and all tough to fight and everything and it’s looking really really good from here i want to work towards the rest of the resources

We need to finish this project what a better thing to include in a swamp other than crocodiles and for those we need a lot of dark prismarine guardian farm time we’re gonna need a sugar box of dirt for this guy a good amount of glass

Some soul sand if we have any perfect we got plenty i had everything i needed except some obsidian to make some nether portals so here i am in the end hollowing out yet another pillar there we go hi there little guardian temple with that my friends let’s kick this off

In a good old-fashioned time-lapse mode where i hopefully don’t die building up a guardian farm yeah totally safe let’s do it well i learned a big lesson here don’t just brute force projects in minecraft i really should have made some invisibility potions and water breathing potions because wow i got zapped by the

Guardians so much but somehow we survived so it’s fine maybe i can just wing it and end up okay except i did make the farm one block too small so i had to rebuild the entire thing plus fine But now we’re at the stage where we need to set up the collection system so off to the nether we go on to the nether roof where it is much safer i threw down a test portal to make sure we did it right and look at that time to move

Forward all right going pretty high into the sky so we can decorate this thing later i threw the portal back up and hooked it up to a tube with some campfires at the bottom that should be everything we need for the collection system on the inside for

Now definitely got to expand that but let’s get back to the overworld and i think i can just jump through this portal hello guardian farm all right let’s finish this thing off a few painful guardian beams later and the dirt is removed and now soul sand is

Placed down at the bottom that my friends most definitely appears to be a working guardian farm look at that thing they are flying in there all right let’s see if this thing has actually been working do we have any materials and stuff oh my lord [Laughter]

Oh this is so good we’re even getting ink yes that’s amazing we need it for dark prismarine i’ve been afk for about 10 minutes i was not expecting five double chest full we will come back for the dark prism rain soon enough next up though we need to finish detailing the

Swamp base itself so it’s time to craft a bunch of coarser and get to work on detailing the entire area with the dirt in i wanted to move forward with our last rocky train element the geysers i figured drip stone could look very good for these so again

I went back to the 1.17 cave along with a trip to the moss farm for some carpets so i started to spam those around the swamp everywhere i want to move forward with adding in the geysers mostly near the lava pool as i feel like that’d be

The warmest part of the swamp but you can see this entire area now with the mossy carpets everywhere already is another level of detail that i’m really loving but coming in here we can grab nope the other buildi box as many sulfire campfires as we can get our

Hands on now for these geysers i figured we bring in a little bit of tough block like this we build up some drip stone around them and we just start having them flowing along the edge as just little rocky structures there we have it i’m thinking that is what our geysers

Will look like around the area we’ve gotta hide the campfire a little bit more but i think they’re gonna look super cool down here now it would become pretty chaotic down here if we did the smoky campfires in every single one of them so obviously some won’t really have

It but i wanted to fill the entire swamp with a bunch of these and so that it just feels like we have some more structure inside of here instead of just the natural life that we’re gonna have in here soon adding a few more around the place and

It’s looking fantastic now we got a few pillagers running around but we’ll let them do their thing and i want to start marking out locations for some of the bigger stuff over here i’m thinking we put a giant aqueduct that’s going to take us all the way back to the farming

Area to show that we’re taking the water out of here to you know irrigate and everything for the crops that we you know harvested last episode let’s add some realism into the world now in memory of our fallen copper lad the copper golem i thought it’d be great to

Bring some cobblestone back in here and build the copper golem that was going to be added in minecraft 1.19 but you know hashtag vote allay came through so we’re going to build the gravesite of the copper golem where it once might have existed and i want to build a giant

Head for one of those dudes right over here and the last major element i want to add is a ruined village floating on some stilts probably in that area kind of connecting these three together then over here it’s just gonna be mess of swamp land trees alligators and all of

That stuff but first and foremost let’s see if we can’t build up a copper golem head getting the base shape in first was very important so creating the two large eyes as well as adding some extra details around the inside really make this thing feel rubbled i want to bring

In a bunch of walls and stairs and just mess this up as much as we can to make it look like it really fell apart into the jungle behind us adding in some of our andesite and mossy cobblestone and even some copper in here to really make

It feel like that copper golem and some finer details i think we finally got something that settles in here pretty well to the landscape here we have the remains of the copper golem i’m not 100 satisfied with it so far it’s a little messy in my opinion and you can only

Really tell what it is because of the copper but i think it’s something that we can come back to later from right here it does look like a face i’ve spent a little bit of time detailing around this area and now that’s what i want to

Move forward with working on quite a lot for this we’re going to need a lot of lily pads and blue orchids from the swamp vine which thankfully we do have a flower farm over there to help out with this and on top of that i could use some

Brown stained glass with red candles to make some cute little cat tails but also i’d love to incorporate some sea pickles and a few colorful coral bits too so yet again repairing the elytra at the gold farm to go flying around i jumped through the guardian farm nether portal

And flew off to find the coral reef a few minutes later we found it and i got as many of the blue and purple coral fans as i could find then of course some more big drop leaf i am now on day 1004 i’ve spent over 60 days mining and

Preparing to finally decorate this build and i’m very happy to say it’s time it’s time to make this beautiful I think it’s time for a little bit of a shaders boat ride rolling through the swamp now actually feels like a swamp and i’m loving it we are in business now and i think it’s time to move forward with building the little ruined village on the stilts my thought is that we

Occupy the cliff over here and just start taking a few stilts coming up out of the ground and any of the swampy stuff that might be in the way down below we’ll just remove as we need to and i think for now it might be worthwhile to try and get maybe three of

Them in here and just using a little bit of the oak wood action to help ourselves get some base shapes i think’s the best bet making this feel as rickety and broken down as we possibly can i’ll come back in here later and add in a bunch

More trap doors but for now i think we’re starting to get some good shapes over here so we’ll have one house right in there maybe we have another little bit of a supporting section right around here for a larger walkway with potential for a house sitting in here and maybe

For the final third house we just put it actually up along the ledge starting to add in some detail for the walls around here i think we can use a lot of the jungle wood making it look like they used whatever materials they could get their hands on in the area even adding

In a few small balconies like this guy then bringing in some of our acacia trap doors maybe to give a pop of color around here which will also actually help link it back into the main build that we’ve done over the edge of the jungle because we use a lot of the

Orange over there the walls are in place now for the three different homes and it’s starting to look really really cool i want to see what detail boxes we still have over here because we need some windows and did i leave all the swampy detail stuff around here of course not

Of course i took it back home regardless we got it back and here we go i just want to grab some of these brown stained glass panes and use these as the windows to help this place feel even more kind of grimy and i guess older and not really kept up

With that being said though i want to make this place feel a little bit more rickety so adding in a bunch of fences around here just as like extra supports randomly i think could be really cool of course we also need some way to get down

And be able to get into our boats and send ourselves off into the swamp even further so maybe we add a little bit of an area right down here as a wee bit of a boat launch for ourselves we don’t have any roofs on these quite yet and i think we’re just

Gonna do some spruce slabs going over kind of rolling across the top but i figured up here we could also add in some campfire action so it looks like people actually living in these houses the deep slate might not be the best fit out here but i think it’s gonna work out

Okay for us and now it’s time to go absolutely crazy with some stairs and slabs around this place just to really mess it up first one should be just finishing up now and how does it look i just kind of spam things all over the place and ooh i love that okay

Okay i’m really digging this yes that’s working really well making super old ruined structures is honestly one of my favorite things to do so i’m having a blast with this and i where’d my glass go i lost my glass all three of our houses are in place and it is looking

Really cool up here now and we actually have a wandering trader what you got for us buddy welcome to the brand new village nothing you’ve got nothing except leads so as usual um i got a bit carried away with building the village i added another two houses and extending

This all further into the swamp but let’s be honest i think this was worth it i think it was really worth it because look look at this beautiful swamp side village a great place to mellow out in the marsh we even have our first inhabitant right there the

Pillager his name’s frank so i realize the part of this project that is causing me the most amount of anxiety is building all of the mangrove trees around this area so i want to put it off even longer because that seems like a great idea

Uh huh i think the next thing i would like to do is work on getting the aqua duck set up to bring the water all the way back over to the farmland but before we can do that i figured we could throw a few little bits of bamboo around this

Area and just bring some string up so it looks like these are kind of another form of the sugar cane we have these are all gonna grow up in the background here as we’re working around and it should look really fun and then as soon as we

Get the trees in here i cannot wait to see this place underneath the canopy of mangrove leaves now before we build this aqueduct there’s something we do at every single hardcore episode and that is plant a brand new field around the base [Applause] With the brand new wheat field place down right over there it is time to figure out what the heck we are doing for uh this thing this whole aqueduct thing now hopefully i did my math correctly on this one if we pull her all the way up here we’ve got a very long

Route to go and so we started going and made it all the way over there lots of stone very cool fun well this is a big boy currently stretching at 182 blocks long we’re gonna need to divide this up into a lot of little sections for ourselves for decorating this giant

Structure here i’m thinking we do 13 blocks then we do little three by two pillars in here and then we count another 13 down this way and we just keep doing that all the way hopefully it will end up somewhere near the end of that line and yet again the more blocks

They add into this the larger the project seems to be getting oh my gosh look at this thing all the way from there to here doesn’t seem that big from up above but once you get down here holy cow this is a lot of blocks bringing

These big boys down to the ground my goal is to remove as little of the jungle as possible making the aquatic look much older as if the jungle grew back around it but i decided it was time to decorate the first section and get a plan going then hopefully that’ll make

Copying this 13 more times for the entire structure go a little bit quicker down on the ground here this thing feels very impressively large and since i just built this one i kind of remember what i did so before we focus on the end point

Over here i feel like i just need to start working and getting it going all the way down there oh this is gonna be a big boy just finalizing this second segment now my friends and i’ve made a few modifications over here that i’m actually really happy with we’ve got a

Lot more of the warp trap doors in here and we’re actually hiding a little bit more of the gray concrete powder along with bringing in a little bit of polished deep slate walls these are looking much much better much more detailed really i added all of this gray

Concrete powder inside and i think it’s working out super well i’ve just gotta you know do this eight more times okay that last one took me 18 minutes whereas the first one took 28 so maybe by the end we can get it down to 10. we’ll see my oh my progress

Is finally being made out here i’ve been able to get quite a few of these guys done and it is starting to look really really epic if i have to say something myself with this last one right here coming together i’m very very happy to

Say that we only have one two three and four more segments left to go but look at that oh i’m loving this is almost like a light rail station or something like that i feel like we need a monorail going along it oh that’s very very cool

And i can’t help it any longer i want to see what it looks like with the water going down what we have so far and there it is all right that is looking so very cool man i’m very very excited to get this done still no idea what i’m doing

For the pumping system to actually know get the stuff down here from you know in the swamp to the top of the aqueduct go on its merry way but we’ll uh we’ll figure that out as we’re going we got a lot of time one final push this thing

Will be done and here we go getting in the final bits of the gray concrete that i accidentally forgot and oh my gosh my friends we have done it the entire thing is now finished up and oh my gosh is it massive look at that thing over there oh

It’s looking fantastic but we are now on day 1 500 that’s over 100 days spent on this episode alone oh boy we will have to figure out the best way to use this water system here later on but for now i want to get all of the water in it so

It’s flowing off the end over there but we gotta first and foremost build the pump system to get it up here to the top removing these little bits of stone and there it goes into a nice little pond i’ve created at the bottom that’ll have

To do for now there it is my friends this thing is looking amazing okay now back to actually working on the swamp that was the weirdest and probably largest side project i’ve ever done i’ve spent four hours building that thing oh why’d i do that as a side project okay i

Need to figure out what the heck’s going on here i think i’ve figured it out my friends and i’m super excited for what we got going on over here so i’m incorporating a bunch of stone you know because it’s what we’re doing to make this area look ancient but then in the

Central area where i’m stacking up the deep slate bricks i think we can use cauldrons with grindstones to make it look like we have a bit of a conveyor belt going around like a circle system that’s bringing cauldrons full of water but i want to make sure this sticks

Within the same style as everything else that we have going on around here so i’m adding in these little chiseled out sections with the stone brick walls right over here that i think will make it feel a lot more in line with everything and honestly not

Just looking like it’s one of our rocks just weirdly tall things are starting to come together around here i’ve got the top pillars built up to kind of mimic everything else and the bottom section is a little uh worse for wear right now but it’s progress progress is being made and

Progress is done check this massive tower out over here pulling the water out of our new swamp to hydrate all of the farmland with for the freshest of water i still cannot believe just how much work we’ve been able to accomplish inside of one video in this hardcore

World this project at this point in time if you’re still watching this video here with me thank you all for sitting here with me as i’m going absolutely insane uh it’s been a long one it’s been it’s been a very long one and we still got two more things left to tackle here

Before we call this quits my friends because we haven’t built any trees yet we still need a large number of mangrove trees sitting around this swamp and i’ve got a bunch of dark oak wood over here which i think if we start pillaring some

Of it up like this and then my plan is to strip it all down we can create some cool root systems that look like the mangroves are kind of going up above everything i’m taking a lot of inspiration here from the screenshots we’ve seen from minecraft themselves or

How they’re built on the mangroves because i want to try and make my own rendition of these but i think something like that we’ll have to do and then we can have a few of the root systems kind of going out into the water here using

The spruce fences and from doing my own research here on mangrove trees which yeah i know i’ve done even more research inside this thing to build a tree after everything else we’ve done uh it looks like the branch networks really don’t go that far away from the trees at least

For the younger ones so if we want to make this thing work out a little bit better for us and maybe a little bit simpler we can make these trees actually rather small something like that could work out super well alone i think these could get very

Boring here in the environment but if we start combining them together because the azalea gives a little bit of a cooler tone i think we could get something quite fun taking a quick step back here that’s what the top canopy looks like very kind of sporadic and we got to bring the

Leaves down for sure maybe a bit more full over here but i like that i think that’s gonna work out really well you wouldn’t believe what’s coming up next it’s time lapse time it is really feeling like a swamp down here i think it’s finally time it’s

Finally time my friends to bring a few more friends into this area to actually live inside the swamp so let’s go get a bunch of dark prayers marine and see if we can’t make some alligators crocodiles i don’t really know which it is but there’s gonna be something living here

In the swamp i still can’t believe how many rockets i went through this thing was filled up all the way through there with stacks of rockets today that’s that’s pretty rough i knew it was worth setting up this guardian farm earlier today yep come on over here everybody

Let’s throw that guy down the spruce slab on top so nothing can spawn on there we’ll get some ink sacks and we’ll grab a bunch of marine shards which is not going to go nearly as far as i thought it would okay we have two and a

Half stacks this is gonna be a little rough i don’t think we can make that many crocodiles so i got to work building the first interior crocodile alligator here in the swamp and i actually think it turned out pretty well we got another one hanging right out over here underwater and i absolutely

Love them i do have to give credit where credit is due the original design for these is by somebody over on my patreon server i believe karen made them and they’re absolutely amazing oh i forgot we have a pillow during the boat uh excuse me i was gonna be taking my boat

For one final journey through the swamp here but unfortunately uh it’s occupied it’s quite occupied right now and i don’t think that’s a possibility so a little shader’s glimpse here is gonna have to do it instead today i always love looking at landscapes that i make
