I Survived 100 Days as a MAGE in Hardcore Minecraft…

Having to go to an ancient city for the first time there’s these awesome bosses and just I I’m I’m getting ahead of myself let’s start on day one I spawned into my new hardcore World in An Inconvenient location because I had to take fall damage to reach the ground I

Immediately needed food luckily while exploring the area I spawned and I found some melons nearby also nearby was a Jungle Pyramid structures like this were the only way to get my first magic so I had no choice but to loot it I had some prior experience with this Temple and

Knew that if I was not careful I would get swarmed by silverfish to avoid dying on day one amid a classic wooden pickaxe and worked my way down slowly but surely and the loot here was exactly what I needed to find every floor has one that is not silverfish which is gonna break

Down oh there we go there we go okay spells and we have four spells we have Fang strike summon horse Rey’s dead in Starfall four awesome spells already I could cast the Scrolls right now if I wanted to but they’d be consumed and wasted there was an easy

Way to make them infinite but I needed some copper and some books first I set out to get some and I ended up finding an Unbreaking two golden sword I used that to kill some cows of varying sizes for food and leather and then I made a

Stone pick for copper then I killed some sheep for a bed and you’ve seen Minecraft before let’s get to the cool stuff I crafted a flimsy journal in an inscription table I’m gonna toss in my flimsy Journal okay so because this is a common spell book it has four slots and

It cannot use Starfall but I can oh wait this is also uncommon Frick so for the time being I cannot use these but I can use these so now I have what is this bro I am sh moving right now look at me yeah there’s that and then this one

It summons a horse I assume it’s a pretty bad horse because like level one and I was officially a mage a weak Mage a mage that could only build common spells not I wanted stronger stuff cooler stuff and for that I needed to find more ruins dungeons Villages pretty

Much any structure with a chest I set off on my spectral speed to look for anything to make myself stronger along the way I got to waste them that I found and then I found this mushroom with some chains on it chain was the material needed for The Uncommon tier spell book

After escaping a near-death experience with a Pillager I made the iron bound tone this book could hold five spells including my raise Undead and Starfall Scrolls which I forgot to test but it’s fine because I found an underwater ruin oh this is a dungeon any poggers Jesus Christ okay

Whoa this dungeon’s underwater and it’s totally loaded look at this chest okay summon oh dude okay okay hold on I like summons wait uh we have some food oh that’s terrible so we did get some I think I just wasted the coolest one it teleported me and I thought dude no oh

Yeah yeah yeah okay okay yeah yeah yeah yeah l l okay as if y’all wouldn’t have done the same it’s chill though because his other chest is gonna have another one of those in it okay it was called Frost step okay you have an uncommon icicle another icicle ice ice block okay

So these are all ice spells it’s like an ice themed loop table I guess okay so we did get three new ice spells icicle cone of cold and ice block let’s test out icicle in cone of coal uh I I never tested by their spell I’m so stupid dude

Okay here we go let’s try everything out so obviously like summoning Undead is gonna be like you summon a zombie I assume yeah all right what is Starfall oh dude that’s a great like fishing Strat yo watch me fish with this spell uh yeah so it didn’t work name all zombies

George okay this is George this is George the zombie all right this is icicle I think yeah actually some pigs yo yo that’s good range too oh shoot dude yo that’s actually a really good spell wait it’s very spammable okay there’s a good damn okay that’s that’s pretty good we

Have cone of coal oh it’s like a like a fire breath but ice I don’t have a Talus made to make summons do more damage so my Boy George is gonna do more damage now oh this is a rare spell oh I can’t even try that one

Out okay well never mind what is the next book require gold oh you need to go to the nether I assume for hog skin and I am not going to the nether yet not even close to ready for that because I had way too many items at this point

George and I hunted some cows and made a backpack we may have hunted too many cows because I had some extra leather which I used to make a leather chest plate combining that with a bit of Arcane Essence let me make the wandering magicians robe this is the basic Mage

Armor which gives 25 more Mana which means I can cast even more cool spells yes sir all I wanted right now is more magic resources I just wanted to get stronger so I could eventually go to the Nether and get that rare Spellbook I traveled and got a better backpack iron

Gold a new sword I made magician pants in the hood and then I found something really cool could there be Epic Loot in here oh chest yo yo okay Shield aspect of of the spider okay we also have some ink so this could be used to make scrolls uh emeralds

Iron sword with imbued spell so wait this spell or the sword has a Spell bound to it so if I cast this bro and I assume that like attacks don’t go through this imbuedosaurs I even learned that later I can imbue swords with any scroll that I

Have which is so sick right after getting the magic sword I found a very magical looking tower for me I got some books my final piece of armor some ice spells but something didn’t seem right there was a suspicious looking yeah there’s this right here there has to be like a middle um

That’s a dude okay this guy’s going to attack me for sure okay he’s definitely hostile oh God George George yeah I got you George that I just shot my own Shield I do not know what’s happening but I think he teleported out of his own home

He summoned a polar bear he summoned a polar bear or maybe there’s just wild no that’s definitely hostile towards me he summoned a polar bear do you think I can just go down here I mean we’re kind of we’re kind of good there is loot down

Here is this the final loot chest oh my God yeah raised there we go there we go tons of this Essence stuff uh some gold pearls which is seemingly a crafting oh some ink for crafting and a blank runestone which you could make you can’t make okay this has not really gotten me

Out of the scenario that I’m in but I can now summon more dudes so like we’re kind of cooking you know let’s go ahead and do our double Undead summon oh it’s double George we’re double georged up dude though go get them George all right that’s the Polar Bear where’s the actual where’s

Can I say yo okay we got hit two we gotta have two okay my first Mage battle was Victorious the cryomancer dropped a rare tier icicle spell some other stuff that I couldn’t use yet but the most important thing was this ice Rune that could be used to create cryomancer armor of my

Own which boosts the damage of my ice spells and seeing as most of what I’ve found so far was ice spells that’d be great I just didn’t have a nearly enough Arcane s’s for it yet my journey then took me to a village where I got some

Diamonds and stuff and The Villages have priests they were holy Mages and because of that their towers had holy spells most were healing and the ones that were attacks weren’t that great but hey more spells is more spells I made a diamond pick with the diamonds I totally didn’t

Steal and then I had a slight run in with the police oh I did not I do not know who they were sir I do not know those people I that was crazy dude good job good job sir thank God Henry didn’t sell me out for stealing those diamonds right

I named the skeletons Henry by the way okay okay I had plenty of stuff for now but what I did not have was a base I can’t live out of a backpack forever right this was my first time playing 1.20 so I wanted to live in that cool

Cherry blossom bio I made a Nature’s Compass started the track went down and along the way I found insane stuff wait hold on to 2K Diamond Essence gold iron lob creeper it’s rare so I can’t enroute okay and then a diamond sword with sharpness four

And four to five three so I could just like with my I’m like a paladin dude so I can like rally the troops oh there’s an animated to Roots roots I don’t know what that did because it killed itself oh oh poggers yo oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah yeah

Yeah okay so now that I had a sharpness for diamond sword and a great Mobility spell I made it to the Cherry biome that sword does have cursive Vanishing by the way but that surely wouldn’t come into effect right anyways my chat convinced me to uh strip some cherry wood this

Might be my favorite Block in the game this is gorgeous and then boom it kind of looks it kind of looks looks like some meat yeah we’ll call it that it looks like some meat yeah even one exposed me later I uh met my neighbors let’s go ahead and just like okay

Nah nah now I’m gonna find him I’m gonna find whoever that was bro there’s no one over here oh I found him I’ll save the village oh this is just my man’s house oh my bad you know my bad bro my bad bro I did not mean to step on

Ender pearls wool those things were kind that just stacked honestly that wool was very important too because I used it in all of my Arcane Essence to make eight Arcane claw combine that with the ice ring from the cryomancer that I defeated and I now have my own cryomancer coat

This gives more Mana armor and Ice spell damage the local area was properly assessed and looted and now it was time to build my own home I wanted to include this magic circle because just look at it it screams Mage I built the Ring of

Cherry logs and I was gonna go for a little circular Tower slash Observatory thing and I’d tried to use strip cherry wood and it kind of just looked like ham I was going to get more wood when I got jumped oh my mother oh my god dude that scared

Me so bad I’m gonna poison spray you idiot yeah yeah how does that feel idiot get rooted I don’t know what this does rude yeah idiot now you can’t move oh oh idiot who this idiot can’t even move dude yeah eat that now what’s good huh huh yeah that idiot

Okay back to building unfortunately I added Spruce as my next layer and then I was convinced to try this raw Redstone that I found in a cave and uh yeah I was in denial but my chat pointed out that it sort of looked like a hamburger I

Hated that idea I denied it every time I said it but even if it wasn’t a burger it certainly was not pretty the last block that I needed for my questionable home was deep slate tiles I headed into a cave right below my base and this place was wild oh my

Oh that skull oh Jesus Christ dude what is this cave yeah that’s an ancient city that’s an ancient city bro where did I choose to live there’s a ton of deep slight tiles which is interesting there’s some creepy eyes over there staring at me don’t know what that is

There’s an ancient city down there yeah that is straight up and that is just straight down from my house I’ll worry about that later the loot there has got to be wild yeah that cave had it all and then some I started stealing the Deep slate tiles from this dungeon which

Ended up being called a crypt it had a lot of Undead between George helping out and me spamming icicle we could handle it unfortunately the loot there was absolute trash no magic or anything so I didn’t even bother looting at all even though the loot in this Crypt was trash

I knew where it wouldn’t be I carefully jumped into the abyss and teleported on the wall and now I was in the heart of the ancient city one of the most dangerous structures in all of Minecraft and to make it worse this was my first time here I’ve never explored

The ancient city I barely knew how Shrieker is in the warden worked and I kind of was terrified I am very scared ah am I gonna die through some incredibly careful movements a lots of wool and a lot of guidance from my twitch chat I managed to lose some chess

There oh bro yo this was so worth it this was so worth it a higher level dragon’s breath spell sick epic Inc so we can now make an epic to your spell any epic tear spell that I want whenever I get some crying obsidian and more importantly this book

Is needed to make the highest tier of Spellbook so this book I needed to find one day this is good aha okay this was a terrible chest to open what the heck is this dude this blue oh wait oh never mind magma bomb that’s new that’s a brand new attack it’s fire too

Oh devour that’s a new spell they added that to the game like just today so that’s a brand new spell that I really want to try a fire resistance Bobble oh heck yeah dude no it’s legendary oh I mean that’s awesome I saw I saw the the gold was

Hyped but I can’t use it yet yeah to say the ancient city was worthy heart attacks caused by shriekers would be a understatement so many new spells important items crafting materials it was so worth it then in my chat lied to me and made me go into this Redstone

Room claiming there was loot there was not I left the waste on there teleported home in my brief not dangerous at all trip for deep slate was done yeah I finished my floor out of the magic circle and then tested the devour spell I got come here zombie

How much damage does that do seven that’s not very much okay that’s cool but why would I ever do that when I can do that okay I’ve gotten established as a mage I had a home and I found all kinds of cool spells but what

If I could make any spell I wanted I’ve been collecting this income structures and after making a scroll Forge with four crying obsidian I could just use the ink to make spells that sounded like a no-brainer to me so I set out to get crying obsidian I found one really fast

And then the other one took a while longer I found the sick firecracker spell though check it out oh yeah yeah what does this spell do yeah yep about what I expected but this was an attack which makes it way cooler also you might have noticed that I was

In a village well just outside that Village was a ruined portal with the rest of my crying obsidian and another cryomancer Tower that’s the goal that is my obsidian and another chance at really good loot but on the way to the ruined portal I found a dog I love you look at it

You’re so cute capture yes basic capture cell operation I want my friend now can I just have one of these ah a snuffle bro he had a snuffle okay that’s mine though new friend let’s go I headed to the ruined portal for my crying obsidian and I also got a god Apple

All right I gathered the obsidian and when looking at the scrollforge and jei I learned something using Echo shards which of course it did not take from the ancient city I could craft void element spells these spells even a level one were legendary they were the strongest

Spells in the entire mod now I had even more reason to become stronger though I still wanted to test my current strength against another cryomancer alright here’s the guy again here’s the guy again we have Henry and George this time we’re gonna fortify them and then go

Know I just want to get the scrollforge now I’m not even gonna use it well hear me out going to the nether means that I can get hog skin which I need for rare and epic tier spell books if I get those then I can use the scrollforge to make

Higher tier spells you see I also had another goal of getting looting three I’ve been learning a bit about Minecraft speedrunning recently and one of the things that I learned that the first level 30 enchantment of a Minecraft world is guaranteed to be Looting 3 and

Then breaking three on an iron sword I headed to the nether which looked incredible by the way and then I mined chords to level 30. I headed home Enchanted the sword and got it what it just didn’t work I have no idea why I even tested it in another world and it

Worked fine but why not here either way no looting I just went to a Crimson Forest for my hog skin and like 20 minutes without a hog and later something happened something bad weakness and choke kind of kinky but anyways uh okay I know it looks like I died in my

Hardcore world because I did I know I usually do the haha funny it didn’t count thing but I don’t love doing that what I did was I struck a deal with my twitch chat I could come back to life if I did one punishment of their choosing

Their punishment was that I had to full send it and turn my house into a cheeseburger so I’d have to do that soon oh and don’t forget my sword had curse of Vanishing so that’s gone yeah I decided to give up on the hog skin because I wasn’t finding hoglands

Anyways for now I just made the scrollforge to have fun with some cool spells so hear me out right we want fire bolt so to make a fire scroll we would need an ink paper and a blaze rod so I believe I just combined these items in

Here I can then just choose it I thought it was going to be random so let’s just go ahead and make uh there’s a big Fireball shall we and just like that and now I can cast icicle and then fire bolts let’s go ahead and make a chain Lightning Spell

Oh this is called chain creeper but we want chain creeper right let’s do needles I need this Blood vial a mob in a cauldron with a lit campfire beneath it so I’m just gonna make another one of these books dude okay that way I can now put all of these

Spells I wanted to make chain lightning too chain lightning that sounds very useful oh it’s a big cooldown okay oh it it’s the mob it just spawns creepers around them dude that’s hilarious wait not even a chain I have a feeling that I know what it does I have a

Feeling that it actually is a chain watch this right yeah yeah that’s what I thought it was gonna do yeah yeah yeah so it kills it and then anything that dies from the first creepers spawns more creepers hammer time yeah I’ll try the hammer say you want some andesite

Fact this is an entirely a different mod that I hadn’t even gotten into yet but oh man is it flashy I made the Maho sukaya knowledge compendium I read through it learning about all the different spell types the Mana system ritual circles all of it basically I

Prick my finger put a blood circle on some Spell cloth and I can craft whatever spells that I want using some crushed up oars and stuff using two crushed ender pearls and one Crush goal my first spell was called Ascension it would basically teleport me to the

Surface from any cave that I was in and when you gotta mess around with ancient cities that could be life-saving according to the book I needed a specific Mystic code to make the scroll infinite use but the problem there was the Mystic code required Fey Essence and

This stuff was very annoying to get first I had to make a scroll for the Mystic eyes of faceite boom got that at the cost of three eyes vendor but it’ll be worth it right wait well I use the scroll to get face sight and it only

Lasted 30 seconds and I saw nothing okay I made another one and tried in a different location okay here we go oh I see him I see him I see okay I see a line there we go can we find a waypoint there we go all right lay Point found

What this does is it Regens my Mana twice as fast my Mana is hidden behind the day count right now but I move it soon so don’t worry anyways while we’re generating mana on the lay Point here Faye have a chance to spawn I made this

A tune to gem to store mana and so I’d be constantly regenerating however without face sight I couldn’t actually see the FAE if they spawned I was told I’d be able to hear them and a few days later with nothing happening I figured maybe their sounds were Minecraft music

So I turned it on just in case and then regretted it I’m just sitting here waiting for that come here come here I hear them come here where bruh get in the box so now I know my spot works that’s Minecraft music we’re just gonna move past that I was

Desperate to try anything that might work at that point so I cashed my last face I’d scroll and learn that I technically wasn’t on the exact point this is dead center I am oh that fast huh got it smoked idiot try me again idiot where’d you go where’d you go

That should have taken five a mission successful I made the Mystic code and now I could cast a mahosukai spells infinitely I tested my Ascend spell that I made and then this one that made walls I guess but those are lame sure Ascend is useful but it’s not flashy not epic

The really cool spells were easy to make but required thousands of Mana to cast I thought there was no way to ever get to use those but then I learned something I filled the chest with tons of random armor and a lot of shovels and then I created a ritual called durability

Exchange this converted the durability of the items that I put in it directly into Mana rapidly filling my attuned gem just moments later the gem was filled and I created The Scroll of explosive Mana condensation when used this scroll would give me these staff needed to cash explosion the most insanely destructive

Spell was mine I brewed some night vision potions and then I put the new magic to the test in probably the most dangerous way possible alright so we have the staff and it uses 5 000 mana and I have a gem full of 5 000 Mana so

If I just pick my spot right about there hahaha until I release ah screw you brother holy this staff was incredible blowing stuff up is just fun the crater Left Behind also let the loot from the chest behind and a bunch of diamond ore and stuff I looted what I could ascended out

Of there and returned home as a much more destructive Mage that explosive staff had me wanting to check out other magic that I could make so I made these keys of proximity projection in a Mystic staff of spatial disorientation and then a buff spell called borrowed Authority I

Have a bone to pick with that one I try out these new spells later but for now let me explain the game plan I was on day 51 Still rocking these uncommon spells I learned that Hogs get inflated for the next two spell book tears did

Not drop from hoglands because of a bug luckily I’m basically a professional programmer so I went into the mod files and added Hogs into a structure I’ve never found before called a mangrove Hut meaning my next objective was to locate this Mangrove Hut so I could finally use

Rare and epic spells to help amid the bloodstep spell and put it in the other spell book so we can teleport twice as often effectively traveling twice as fast then I set out on a journey that immediately went terribly I have some cool stuff I haven’t even tried out yet

But because I’m scared of wasting man you know it was not hard to get all this Mana let’s just try it I just want to try borrowed Authority okay I get a buff for 18 seconds okay how does it work I can’t jump don’t kill me

Okay is that my fault I don’t think so why would any buff that gives you a super jump let you take fall damage from that jump that makes no sense I know it’s a bad look dying to fall damage twice in a hardcore video but come on

Man I of course have a chat decided punishment for this but I’ll get to that right after this Mangrove Hut which was 20 blocks after where I died yeah or is all my stuff equipped because there’s probably a dude in here of some kind he

Actually pretty hard oh my God Christ okay oh he is the blaze that’s why it was fast use the staff I’m not blowing up his house yet I think he’s got that covered does he know his house is made of wood my man are you aware uh-huh cringe wait

I got him pinned and okay there we go he got him in the water oh suck it dude oh POG hold on legendary Inc yo okay okay we have a fire Rune we got fire breath a wall of fire level one oh hold on dude

What I was looking for a chest not a barrel uh Blaze storm I assume that’s what he was using on me and magma bomb that I can actually cast or here we go magma bomb what does it do I’m invisible okay yeah oh dude oh oh it’s like a Molotov

Bro oh wait that’s actually really good hog skin got and our first legendary ink was huge now whenever I unlock Legendary magic I can make a spell immediately I tried to uh remove the evidence after and I learned that when I died I lost my Mana gems so I couldn’t cast explosion

Yeah anyways that ink that I got dropped from the pyromancer it may have taken me way too long to put two and two together but every village also has a few Mages the priests I wasn’t certain but I figured that there was a solid chance that these guys could drop ink as well

And because I was about to get my epic tier spell book I kind of wanted as much as I could get so if I summon these guys the priests will attack right yeah which means these guys will also attack why are y’all staring at me yeah I didn’t do anything oh no your

Heel oh stank yeah man that was a hard battle sorry bro all right let’s go okay I’m sorry man come on whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa wisp uh all right chain lightning all right one freeze did die gusts oh he blew out my fire what the heck dude that was sick

Ow you’re burning bro it’s over oh you’re done for it oh you’re done for it bro he is so dead from out of Mana stop dude he’s like healing constantly did I make a mistake with this did I root him okay magma bomb freeze freeze please die bro I’m gonna

Hard fought but the loot was phenomenal I returned home made a new Mana jam and then finally after all this time I made the Epic tear Enchanted spell book I was now able to test some higher tier spells I tried Ascension which was a bit of an

Evasive attack thing but it caused foul damage so uh no not doing that again there was a cool combo with Ascension and then this Blaze storm spell that I had but not really willing to risk it I had some other neat ones like Fireball and then angel wings which gave me a

Temporary elytra but these spells were not what I wanted I spent a while looking through the spell lists making ones that I wanted to try and these are the results so my book will now have acupuncture magic Arrow lightning bolt raise dead level 4 and blood slash so

Let’s see what uh magic arrows like okay A little charge up lightning bolt I assume just yeah blood slash oh that’s cool okay it’s literally that’s very insane range and then acupuncture what does this do oh I love those I love spells like that I’m okay what we have right now bro

These spells were pretty sick the only downside was that I didn’t have a super spammable one and I know I’ve been using a ton already but I added a rare icicle spell to my book just in case I needed more epic ink for some more spells so I

Used a uh fun little chamber to farm the priests this is morally okay trust me using the first two ink that I got I made lightning Lance which was awesome and then summon Vex which is kind of self-explanatory okay now I was out of ink and I did owe a punishment for that

Death the chat decided on me having to go find a camel and keep it as a pet an adventure like that also gives me a chance to find more structures with more epic ink so it’s kind of like killing two birds with one stone it’ll also gave

Me a chance to try out one of the Maho sukai items I made I have flashy spells I have basic with strong spells I have this thing lets me like do something oh oh is that how it works I could see a mob from way over there I could just

Stab it oh that’s amazing it’s not very good as a weapon but I could just stab it more of an assassin tool if you ask me but it was still sick I didn’t have any Mana to test the other staff still so it would have to wait from there I

Explored structures visited many villages got used to new spells and combat but I didn’t find a camel I spent so much of my time trying to find one in turns out because my desert Villages were modded camels just didn’t spawn however despite failing my objective and

Losing all that time because of it I did find something to make up for it a structure this one right here known as the lighthouse in case you’re unaware this structure is insanely rare and it gives you a map to a Legendary Palace which has the best loot you’ve ever seen
