How’s it going guys last time we did this we did a really detailed Log Cabin so instead for this one I thought we’d flip it on its head and make a detailed modern house and very quickly before we do get into things I’m hosting a fan art Competition over on my Discord so make sure you check that out any artists or anyone that wants to get involved go down to the link in the description and go to the Discord you can win some amazing prizes also while you’re there maybe just leave a little little boost To the server as well right anyway let’s build thank you foreign Foreign so this is the vanilla version done so in the concept art that I’m basing this off of it’s actually only this bottom floor but I thought I’d make it look a little bit more interesting by adding the second layer other than that in the original concept you can see we’ve got This kind of curvature to the wall and that’s what I hope to achieve when we start using chisel and bits and this isn’t your typical modern house that you usually see people do in Minecraft I wanted to try and find a concept art that really emphasized some curvature to The build so that’s going to be this bomb section of the building but either way let’s have a quick little look around things so we’ve got the front entrance here it’s meant to be a glass door but obviously you can’t do that in Minecraft so we’ve just settled for a Normal dark oak door and this is the kitchen I didn’t do anything too crazy I just wanted to kind of roughly mimic what the actual design looks like from what you can see they’ve got a kitchen layout here and they’ve got a dining room kind of dining table and chairs Here as well living room it’s got this massive L-shaped couch and a big old TV and other than that there’s nothing else in here but the issue with doing this in vanilla is look at the ceiling it kind of gets a bit patchy that’s because of All the walls up on the second level now now this is one thing that will be cleared up when we use the shoes and bits because we can kind of just push in one pixel layer and then change it to a different material so hopefully when we Get around to doing that later on it will neaten things up and make things look a little bit nicer anyway up this little rickety staircase to the top a doorway that connects into this little room with a balcony here that you can Overlook the pool and on the other side We’ve got a similar kind of thing a room with a balcony but it overhangs and looks at the front instead and yes we have a bunch of these lines in the way because we’re using string to hold up the carpet above now obviously that’s one thing that we won’t need to do when We change this all to Chisel and bits later on but unfortunately that’s all you can really do in vanilla apart from that though at the back we’ve got a few sun loungers we’ve got a little umbrella and then we’ve got the beautiful pool I’ll tell you what I absolutely love These shaders underneath the water just it looks so good now I’ve added this glass onto the front here to kind of make it look like an infinity pool and using these shaders it pulls the effect off really well it almost Blends in perfectly to be honest at first glance I Would say you wouldn’t notice that that’s blue stained glass anyway with Miller done I think it’s time to start adding the Chisel and bits in and we’re going to start by changing this main bottom section of the building so our main focus is to get that nice curvature Going on all the way around so let’s get on with it Thank you foreign Foreign So with that done we’ve done the bottom section all the roofing and the walls to get that curvature going all the way down and as you can notice on this left side it kind of slopes outwards and on the right side it slopes inwards so it’s Kind of all on that slanted Angle now as you’ve probably already noticed these sections are thinner than a usual slab and we can’t obviously use slabs so this is a custom block here as well meaning that all these bits are floating right now so we’ll have to connect them again Later on which is something that we had to do for the glass here so obviously this isn’t normal glass panes either these are chisel and bits glass blocks that we’ve then made to look like glass panes and so that’s how we’re able to make it kind of follow the curve and Well go straight up against the wall basically now another thing you’ve probably already noticed is that we’re not using the same shaders as we were before in the first clip we were using Zeus’s shaders but from here on I’m going to be using the BSL shaders and The reason why I decided to change is because for some reason I’m pretty sure it just doesn’t like the mod very much but when using the Zeus shaders it makes these Chisholm bits glass blocks I feel like water and to be honest it does give Off a cool effect but for the purpose of having Windows it doesn’t really work but I thought I’d mention it because I know that a lot of people will be asking anyway let’s continue with the transformation Thank you foreign Just so I can walk you through what we’ve just done we have lined the tops of these overhangs with some light fittings these do work but they don’t give off the same amount of light as the full blocks because they’re the Chisel and bit sea lanterns but they’re mainly There just to match the concept and to feel the Dead Space up there other than that we’ve added these custom support beams down here and we’ve just placed them along the front side to kind of support the overhang as you can see because the landscape slopes down other Than that we’ve got this custom little gazebo here I’m not really sure what to call it it’s an overhang with a bit of a roof but we’ve added that in over the pathway down the side here and for the pathway we’ve also had it gradually sloped down to the same level as the Front now for the patio itself we’ve actually raised the floor up so these are custom blocks here and we’ve raised them up just a flesh with the bottom of the building so obviously we need to change the deck chairs and the little umbrella we’ve got to do the pool which Is one of the things we’ll do next and I’m sure that you probably saw but I started making some custom terrain at the front here in the end I decided to delete it because because it started looking a bit too much as well as I didn’t want to overload the world I Didn’t want it to become too laggy to the point where you couldn’t open up a door kind of like what we did with the previous build anyway I thought it was unnecessary so I got rid of it so mainly just a few extra touches just to kind of Neaten things up a little bit and have it all make a little bit more sense so let’s move on shall we Thank you Thank you foreign So as I said this was the next stage that we were going to work on and we’ve made some adjustments to the pool and the patio and all of the back door so let’s quickly talk about that so first things first we’ve got these little outdoor well they were deck chairs now They’re just kind of a little outdoor seating area so we’ve got a single chair we’ve got a bit more of a outdoor couch here we’ve got a little custom glass table with an umbrella poking out of it damn this this depth field is strong maybe I should turn this off That’s better so yeah we’ve got a custom umbrella custom patio so as you can see I’ve made this Stone Paving here this is also in the concept art that I use but it’s just to also help differentiate the patio flooring a little bit anyway other than that we’ve got our custom little Pool here so what I had to do was go around and edit the sides of the pool to make it well chisel and bits I’ve lined the inside of the block with some blue concrete to give it that inside of a pull kind of well lining and I did start Off by kind of curving some of the edges in to make them not as blocky but I figured out I couldn’t really do that and make it work because you can use chisel and bits water blocks to fill in the Gap but it didn’t end up looking the Same as this wood here so I decided to scrap it keep all the edges kind of Blocky and then just curve around some of the edges on the exterior like I’ve done here so I still kept the infinity pool kind of vibe we’ve got the blue stained glass here yes it does look Different to earlier because I’m using the different shaders but this is all custom chisel and bits glass here as well well so now it’s pushed right up against the water to give off that effect even more anyway other than that we continued this outside wall it’s Thinner than usual all the way down and it kind of staggers down along with the pathway but that’s about it so we’ve done the main bottom section and we’ve done the patio let’s see what’s next shall we Thank you Foreign Foreign And with that the exterior of the house is complete so pretty much it’s just been editing this second layer and honestly it’s still very simple in design because it’s a modern house it makes it difficult to get any detail in it really because it’s all flat walls Anyway but I did the best with what I could and tried to add the detail without taking away from the fact that it’s a modern house so pretty much I just made these custom dividing sections keeping all of these roofs flat but obviously it’s using chisel and bits so It’s thin layer of gray concrete I etched in these gray concrete blocks here with some black concrete just to give it a little bit more depth and like I said add a little bit of detail and I did the same for the wood blocks here as you can see we’ve got that riveting Plank kind of effect going on and all I’ve done here is Etch in and filled in with some log just to give it that little bit of 3d effect anyway we’ve utilized this space up here and made it into a little bit of a balcony but we’ve Also got these custom double glass doors up here no they don’t actually close but I figured because it’s on the second level you don’t really need actual working doors and then on the other side it’s very similar what’s actually going on on here it’s just we flip the blocks The other way so we’re using white concrete as the main wall and then we’re finishing it off with a gray concrete roof and then obviously we’ve got another balcony at the front here but I decided to make it look a little bit more interesting so whereas before we Had that kind of gazebo thing going on I’ve also decided to add it up here as well but it’s more of a slope and then lastly I couldn’t leave it just blank so I added a custom little lounge couch with the footrest down here as well just A little bit of furniture to kind of fill things out a little bit so while the house may look done we’ve still got to do the interior I didn’t do this in my last house and it kind of made the build feel a little bit empty because There was no real interior left in it so this time I thought I would do the interior to finish off the house completely foreign Thank you Foreign foreign With all of that done the house is complete so we’re going to show you around things and give you a little tour I just realized that’s kind of what cribs is about this is an episode of MTV Cribs through the front door and into the kitchen so you can see we’ve changed Things up here completely where there used to be a simple kitchen layout and a dining table and chairs we’ve made into this fully functional modern kitchen anyway enough of that we’ve got this custom island table in the middle we’ve got the sink included we’ve got the draining board we’ve got some custom Chairs all around it we’ve added these plants into each of the corners give it a little bit of life you know the light fittings these are the same ones we use in the living room but we’ve got these custom ones that hang over the actual island table we actually did a little Bit of trickery here without realizing it so I actually did an underlying line of sea lanterns down the bottom and that’s why it’s actually glowing around the entire table it worked in our favor because it kind of makes it seem like these lights up here are the ones Producing the light so it’s technically not using the actual lights but it works apart from that we’ve got these massive storage cupboards obviously they don’t open up I actually really like the idea of making these and then doing a little secret compartment in here so that you Can store some chests and actually make use of them as actual cupboards I thought that’d be a fun way of actually kind of combining the two of functionality and make it aesthetically pleasing using these blocks I’ve added in the crafting table down here so it’s still accessible but yeah this is the Kitchen so we’ve got this big old L couch we’ve got a little rug here we’ve got a little coffee table and then of course we’ve got the big plasma screen I added these strips down either side because it kind of looks like the speakers anyway really happy with how That kind of works together really like how this couch turned out to be fair we’ve got the same light fittings up top here like I said we’ve got the same custom plant and this is where we first originally made it but then I copied and pasted it over into the kitchen and yeah We made these custom stairs for the stairs case and a little banister as well and then lastly we lined the wall and the roof here with some oak wood and doing that I think really helps bring this living room together because before it was just looking very white and I Know that modern houses are very white but I think it’s a good contrast and breaks things up a little bit and then last but not least as you can see we’ve got these Vines over growing the side of the building we’ve also got it on the Other side as well adding these at the very end honestly really helped bring things together because it just makes it look more natural because I’ve done it with these tiny little cubes they’re not in the default just Leaf block size like a cube anyway yeah adding those I think Really really helped help finish off the build by giving it a little bit of life so what did you think of the build let me know down in the comments below I’m sure you will also if you did enjoy this video then please like the video tell You what I will set another light goal if this video gets to 20 25k then I’ll release this to the public for free on my patreon now bear in mind because I’m using a mod this won’t be available on Bedrock it’s exclusive to Java anyway other than that follow all my socials I’ll link them all down below we’ve got Tick Tock we’ve got Instagram we’ve got all the sorts and like I said at the beginning of the video check out the Discord because I’m hosting a fan art competition so any artists anyone that wants to get involved go check it out I Think the deadline is set for two weeks either way go check it out because you can win some little prizes and it’s just a fun Community thing to get together and do aside from that though I hope you guys enjoyed it’s a little bit different from my last chisel and bits video but Obviously we’ve got to vary things up I never really work in a modern style but I’m happy with how this one turned out it almost looks a little bit futuristic kind of like the Jetsons house or something I don’t know either way I hope you guys enjoyed the video and I’ll see You in the next one oh yeah and subscribe don’t forget to do that all right I’m actually done now bye guys Thank you Video Information
