I Travelled Minecraft/2b2t’s Longest Sign Highway

2b2t is a minecraft server like no other it’s home to some of the most downright insane builds in all of minecraft and what i’m about to show you today is no exception to this this is the longest tunnel of signs ever built in minecraft in fact the

Creator of this tunnel made a video walking through the entire thing and it’s over four hours long so who built this why was it built and what are even on these signs anyways well today we’re gonna find out here we are at the actual build on 2b2t

The area around the tunnels is pretty destroyed because it was originally built around a base called donfiere that recently got griefed but apparently this tunnel of signs continued to be maintained despite everything else being destroyed alright we gotta check this thing out and here it is so i guess it’s titled fallout equestria

And after some research apparently this is a crossover fan fiction between my little pony and the video game fallout there’s 45 chapters as well as a prologue an introduction an epilogue and afterward and this is one of the longest self-published works of derivative fiction in existence guys there are over 620 000

Words in this book and as far as i know it’s all here written on signs i think it would only be appropriate if i actually walked the entire thing myself so might as well get started wow so i guess this entire thing is just a giant tunnel

And yeah even in the parts that it goes outside the mountain it’s just covered up by cobblestone the entire tunnel was built by a player named rebane 2001 the original goal was for it to be used as a way for him to test out a new mod

Which can write signs from a text file automatically so after writing around five chapters the chord to don fuhrer went public and he started showing off the tunnel to his friends until one of them asked if this was the entire book at the time it wasn’t so rebane saw this as a challenge

He started writing more signs and he even made improvements to his mod to make it more automated as well as adding a repair feature to fix parts that were griefed so that’s probably why all of these signs are still here right next to this grief base

Two out of five would not recommend well good thing i’m not actually reading this i’m just walking through it but jeez and here we are we’re making good progress we’re already at chapter two okay this is actually pretty slow so you know what i think we need to use some speed hacks

There we go so hopefully this will be a little bit quicker than four hours and look at that we already got the chapter four awesome and look at this this tunnel is just cutting straight through the landscape with no care in the world and here we are

Yeah you know what i guess that’s the end of chapter five and it seems like chapter six is just down here now this is where the real work began this is when rebane started working continuously for the next two weeks around 12 to 16 hours a day copying the entirety of fallout

Equestria onto sides because of how automated his mod was he didn’t have to continuously watch it but just check in on it every once in a while oh take a look at this it’s like a little checkpoint that’s pretty cool there’s some beds here for you to rest

That was really disturbing let’s just keep going with the normal story Oh what’s this there’s actually a problem here volume 3 was supposed to start last chapter but i messed it up so now it is at the wrong spot however we designed this amazing sea life view for you as compensation well this pre 1.13 sea life is certainly beautiful i just love

The texture of that gravel truly amazing view isn’t it yep i would say so myself and here it is volume three so i kept walking through the tunnel and more checkpoints started to pop up and take a look at this it’s another checkpoint apple cake four bits apple shreddle three bits

Sparkle cola two bits apple cider five bits got a little seating area over here pretty cool pretty cool but little did i know at the time of filming that just above me was this a whole area made to look like a nuclear wasteland structures like these were made in

Between some of the chapters and were meant to capture the emotion of what was happening in the story oh look at this i guess it’s just a room filled with coal blocks apparently chapter 39 so we’re definitely getting closer to the end whoa another portal

No way i guess the story goes into the nether and here we go back to the overworld oh look at this i guess we’re not in the tunnel anymore uh but darn you know what that means i can’t use my speed hacks because you see these speed hacks they only work

In a too tall tunnel like this once you get outside it just starts lagging it back so that do it the old-fashioned way whoa that’s a tall ladder i really hope this is the final part because i have spent way too much time walking on this thing

And here we go and yep this is the last part the afterword all right let’s get this over with no way is this it this is it that’s the end of the book wow so i guess there’s no special build or anything congratulating you it just abruptly ends so from what rebain told

Me i just walked through 55 000 signs now of course this was all done by a machine but i mean think about this you see if you would have done this on a normal minecraft server he probably would have gotten banned for hacking and that’s what i love about 2b2t you’re

Not limited by admins or moderators saying that you can’t do a certain thing but on 2b2t you can do just about anything which includes building this monstrosity now just for the hell of it i want to see if there’s anything else built after this wow

And look at this it’s just yeah it’s all new terrain wait let me turn on new chunks yeah look at this they’re all new chunks so wow i guess that is it there’s nothing left other than that giant glass walkway now at least i get to say
