Hello Annika acts like an minecraft has changed a lot of the past 10 years there have been so many updates altering pretty much every aspect of minecraft gameplay with one of the most interesting and biggest changes being that to the boat generation whatever brand new features come to minecraft

They have to alter the world generation to spawn them in there for instance new biomes or updated biomes or new mobs this all has to change how minecraft Swope does generate and this means that many of Minecraft classic seeds will no longer work in the current versions of

Minecraft or to say Robert to be more accurate these seats like Gargamel or worse seed ever will work in one day minecraft they just won’t produce the exact same result because of how much the will generation has changed this gets me curious though what happens if you take these old seeds

Designed for 2011 minecraft you put them into current minecraft and you see all they anything like their old versions and all the good seats as a whole today we’ll be checking out four different examples which I hope you all do enjoy let’s dive straight to the first one

Though which is going to be Gargamel so although the seed Gargamel might evoke imagery of the Smurfs the truth is this is one of mine crops most staggering old-school seeds because it generated with such varied such diverse such tall and short terrain next to each other in a way that was interesting to

I mean spawning of an ocean instead of a huge mountain spawning with relatively flat pretty you know like a pretty decently flat for a minecraft seed and spawning you in a plane spire which is one of the less eventful biomes not in a cave everything is pretty much topsy-turvy reversed but

Again today’s view is to see is anything the same and other things that are different actually better in some way because I would say spawning our Plains biome is a great goal in general because easy to build with easy to get animals easy to eat on but if that’s not your

Goal what will you like so I am see this village within light you know like we’ve been viewing distance of spawn so I guess that’s where we’re gonna head first of all so yeah as it turns out this is a pretty sad village I mean it doesn’t have the blacksmith

Chest that you know we look we crave and we love getting free loot from minecraft village is pretty great in that way and it’s also just not a very good village in general it’s not huge it’s not particularly filled with resources I mean it has some hay and it has that one

Melon which might be useful to you but besides that it’s just a village which spawns at the very edge of the world something that is interesting is just nearby you can see there’s some floating brass which maybe you’re into because obviously you can be like hey look I

Have grass on nothing how’d I do that friends and then some pranks at once and it’s gone forever maybe that’s the thing that you love in here if it is then that’s that but otherwise it seems to be the edge of an island something that isn’t immediately clear from spawn is

The bank that you spawn on island and yeah this entire thing seems to be a pretty big island albeit still an island in general and yeah I would say once you get island this big you lose all the benefits of having an island and you just have all the downsides if you want

To go explore a jungle guess who’s going on a long boat ride for potentially thousands of blocks I’m just saying there’s a reason that in the real world we don’t use boat rides to travel long distances anymore I mean besides you know the whole trickery thing but you

Know like but that basically people don’t like taking boats it’s a widely known thing so yeah as far as things you can find within immediate distance to spawn you don’t have much what you do have is really useful for speedruns I would say because it’s just planes its

Desert its savanna it’s the free easiest biomes you don’t get rain and turf them you get animal into it and animals in two of them they’re all pretty flat it’s useful for building on but it’s not an adventurous minecraft seed it’s you know if the soft seed that’s like I wanted to

See a flat but also super flat on bedrock sucks so this is the closest thing I got as a result you know that could be you know like the reason for this but yeah otherwise I would say not the greatest seed but you know we do FBO

You know just to be far here we’re gonna go check out some of the lower coordinates bought some of the you know like old locations on this seed for instance previously if you went to one hundred eighty six point five and you went to negative eighty five what you

Would find yourself in was a giant cave system and I’m curious will that cave system hold up where roughly those simple nuts let’s go exactly there one eight six and then 85 is there in fact a cave system down below the surface and you it seems as though there isn’t if you go

All the way down to literally y9 then you dig yourself into lava so this is a good reminder as to why you shouldn’t follow coordinates from years old seeds and yeah in general you get a nice ish cave system and it’s not the best love

In the world but it’s a it’s a pretty swell looking one I would say actually it’s a pretty big cave connecting a lot of different lot of things together again not amazingly notable in that way but maybe something you like that is just about near spawn and by near spawn

I meet about 800 blocks and it’s a pretty average cave system the probably exists elsewhere basically what I’m trying to say here is even though caves haven’t been significantly updated since 2011 they have been shifted and rearranged and moved around stuff as the biomes above them moved as well because

Obviously you know some caves required some things above them and yeah it is worth noting that since 2009 caves have changed two times – and ravines and larger caves so yeah I guess it goes out saying the caves have changed once since 2009 and therefore we don’t really need

A cave update right anyway so yeah overall what am I gonna say about Gargamel I’m gonna say it’s not a great seed it’s it’s kind of nice if you want a flat ish world to work with and you don’t want to use super flat because again bedrock super flat isn’t the same

As super slam Console Java you know maybe it’s a good C for that maybe these caves that are somewhat near spawn you know something wonderful for you and give you a little bit of that old Gargamel feel because you know used to spawn in a cave and used to be able to

Explore a bunch of them and they went through mountains nowadays everything’s I guess you could argue that everything’s a mountain because nothing’s a mountain but unless you like that argument Gargamel I’m gonna give this a solid not accurate and out of ten there you go that’s that’s my rating I

Guess to be more serious I’d give the seed like a four out of ten like a perfectly average like Shore I guess if this is the first minecraft CG Perloff use this but I think there are better seeds out there such as the 404 challenge seeds so the 404 challenge is

One of Minecrafts most infamous challenge seeds because you’d spawn on a gravel pit which if you punched a single block off would make you fool down immediately into a giant cave system it’s really fun to you know try and survive in this cave system as long as

You can and it genuinely is a really hard challenge to do but how does it hold up in mundane Minecraft do you still spawn before a for challenge the answer is no but i’m kyra sister if anything around there is true so yeah this is our

First spawn in water that I’ve had in a really long time of doing seed Sunday you know we load up by you know like close to a dozen seeds you know a month I would say over every couple weeks or something like that because I go for a

Lot of seats per seat Sunday and as a result of that spawning in water is something which obviously can happen in Minecraft but isn’t a very common occurrence so yeah this is seed seems to sansei for this for a four seed instead of having to spawn it you know like

Breaker blocks again to a cave you already kind of spawn in one you could argue but if we leave that to the side what else do you get with this seed do you get anything called you get any form of challenge with this and I’m gonna say from the immediate kind of bird’s-eye

View you do get some very interesting things right at spawn one is this extreme Hill biome right here as you can see it generates in such a weird way where it’s meant to be one of Minecraft stall this biomes but it’s a small bomb so it can’t get up to that height it

Makes this weird miniature mountain then this way it chunk of blocks some more weird chunks of blocks this thing right here which again I would just describe as like a miniature mountain or something and then we get a huge extreme Hills at the edge of that so if you love

Your extreme Hills then you might love this because to spawn near an extreme hill by him this big is pretty darn rare also there are a few other things that we’re gonna talk about but for now yeah it’s interesting that like oh yeah Gargamel was famous for mountains you

Spawn on the flattest seed ever for a full was famous is spawning you on a pit of you know gravel wither you know fairly flat areas around you and it spawns you on the extreme health so you know that’s a perfect coincidence right there but also one of the things you’ll

Spawn in it that you can notice because you spawn at water is a treasure ship so since this is a first-impression seed Sunday I have a confession to share with you there isn’t actually a treasure ship over there what I thought was a treasure ship I first saw a couple of them one

Was that little mountain cliffs right there and one was this weird stack of dirt just over here as you can see there is like a stack of dirt that looks almost like a treasure ship but is it doesn’t know what over here that like kind of has that same vibe and yet all

Of the oceans nearby spawn here are one notable because they don’t contain any structures I mean minecraft oceans at post 1.13 at least are filled with shipwrecks and ocean ruins and just things to gather there are none of those nearby here which I would give them a

Cedar a point down for usually but it’s just in see here there’s such a bizarre ocean I’m assuming because it’s an extreme Hills like affected one but yeah weird ocean right next to spawn that you technically spawn in because you’re in this river over here that’s bizarre

You also spawn kind of close to this ravine right here which I mean passes through this mountain in a really interesting way then get stopped right here because if you don’t know ravines we’ll try not to cut through water because then the water just flows into them makes a weird waterful effect you

Can honestly just punch a block if you want to see it anyway like oh yeah here’s what it looks like when water flows into ravine isn’t that fun but yeah I deep deep access the ravine really interesting looking ravine right and spawn as well I don’t know if

There’s anything you can do of this if this is a challenge in some way I would say the best part this scene as far as challenges do go is gonna have to be the extreme Hills like having a huge forest boring berm – spawning huge ocean boring

Biome huge extreme Hills might be a fun task if you want to do some minecraft builds if you want to live with just the mobs that spawn here which by the way is a small subsection of the total if you want up like live life a little bit

Harder this might be a good seed for that because extreme Hills do just make your life generally more difficult with the only upsides being the cool views you get like look at this right here it’s K it’s like a naturally made bridge it literally is that right like oh yeah

This is kind of beautiful this is a really fun place to sell down and terraforming something so you might benefit from that I would say then finally after all of this extreme mountains nonsense what you’ll end up with is this thing right here as you can see it’s a village but a really

Bizarrely generated village which generates into the extreme hills the tiniest bit but yet here is a village again lack in that blacksmith that we all know we all crave and we’re all into but it is a village so maybe you could incorporate this into your mountain I

Think what be kind of fun is making an extreme Hills village again because there’s just such perfect rain over here you might want to do something with that it’s also up noting there’s a big lava pit which makes the seed good for gangster no fast but besides that I’m

Not seeing too many great things about this seat so the third famous seed we’re checking out the day is worst seed ever this is a seed which is one which is sustained itself for a very long time because their name is ironic it’s good worst seed ever but it’s actually a

Pretty good spawn if you’re into the sorts of things it offers such as a zombie spawn at spawn and some survival islands for you to go to however loading it up in modern-day minecraft in yep that’s by the way this means Mike off bedrock the current version or 1.13

Obviously you can load this up in Java you’ll get a similar but not perfectly the same seed but the you know the same point still stands I always want to care for that and seat Sunday because yeah a lot of people don’t know the difference between different versions of Minecraft

That’s fine but just so you know this is seat Sunday this is worst seed ever how does the seed hold up and I would say man if you like the seed because it was bad then boy do I have some great news for you you spawn in a giant swamp and

When I say giant swamp I clearly don’t mean like Oh medium-sized swamp now this is a big old swamp we’ve not even the one Saviour for swamp biome which is the witch’s huh I don’t see that anywhere near spawn so unless you really like fines or you want to collect lily pads

Which I’ll admit are a really fun thing to build with they’re really fun thing to have you definitely want to have some you know lily pads right I would say you know I know this is seeds Sunday but just saying that right there and sing these lily pads together it’s inspired

Me I wanna make a build of lady pad soon I don’t make a giant bridge somewhere just out these lily pads because lily pads are an underappreciated block in Minecraft and you will appreciate these donut but you don’t have to appreciate the rest this vibe it’s pretty trash we look

Greed so yeah you can’t go to the south because if you go to the south you’ll end up in a swamp I’m so what do we see in the other directions well to the east we’ve got a big old plains it’s a nice place ok so that’s good we’ve got a

Forest to north we’ve got this interesting plains pathway through the forest again this is actually somewhat rare I know you can just make on yourself but you can see how there’s a Plains biome cutting through the forest right here which means that you actually cap off way which leads you through it I

Think this is actually beautiful but only because I’ve load up so many seeds I think the most people this is just like oh yeah that’s kind of cool but this is a rare occurrence seeing an actual Plains biome cut for a first like that it’s not

Natural so to see it is kind of fun and cool might be useful to you but as the sole good feature in a seed so far I’m not sure if it sustains this whole thing so heading even further away from spawn we found our first village it’s about

500 blocks away from spawn we’ve got off the map that we a week we first spawned in and it’s kind of a cool village because as you can see the village generates like half on one side a ravine half on the other side that might be

Cool and useful to you in some way but otherwise again same unnoted savanna village like it’s it’s cool that you’ve got religious trade with you’re gonna want one of these axe some point but without that all-glorious blacksmith i mean is there really any point where yeah if you want loot from

This seed you are entirely out of luck if you want biomes that aren’t a giant swamp to yourself and you know the the deserts of one of the north you’re out flock the one thing where we seem to have any amount of luck is this beautiful abandoned wine shop spawn

Right in the middle of a giant ravine in the desert I mean look at this this this is a beautiful place for CERN shots and stuff this this one part the seed is something you might really be down with you know it’s that same worse way of

Things like oh yeah you get mob spawn –is that are right now here in the open but yeah it’s one pretty nice peach shot in an otherwise if you forgive the expression here in a desert of good you know things to find otherwise even the nearest village we can find it’s a

Fairly small sad village there’s a desert temple if you’re willing to head hundreds of blocks this way but in general you know if you head far away from spawn you still don’t get very much you have to love spawn which is a giant swamp or you’re not gonna really love

This seed and yeah I would say this seed really reminds me of like you know one of one of those sorts of seeds were like oh yeah you might really be a fan of the particular blend of light you know Plains into forests into swamp you might

Really want a perfect giant swamp seed this might be the thing for you but I would have a hard time recommending it unless you already think that you want to play it like for real this seed is kind of the equivalent of you know if you learn that someone enjoys watching

People being stepped on like they they really you know enjoy the idea of being stepped on one day so they loved a movie solely because there’s a scene where like a woman steps on a guy and you’re like well that is an interesting opinion to have you’re not wrong for having that

Opinion but also if the movie was terrible otherwise just cuz you enjoyed it because of that one specific reason doesn’t mean I’m gonna recommend it to anyone else but I will say there are probably some people out there that enjoy being stepped on I mean there’s a

Whole category for them out there either so I mean I guess they must exist but you know as well as that there is also some people who might enjoy this particular blend of biomes this particular your river going through a swamp to make this cool pattern and if

That’s you then worst seed ever is your best seed ever but for most people this you know that worst he’d ever title pretty accurate two out of ten two out ten so the results have been pretty tragic so far but next up we’re trying sprite this is

A classic survival island seed you just have a single tree on a survival island there’s nothing else for hundreds of blocks it’s you know it’s a challenge which is great because it does just have sugarcane flowers a tree everything you need to get started right let’s see what

The modern-day version is because it can only be better which will break the run of just making worse worse seeds so yeah this is the mande version as you can see very much not a survival island I would say but it does have the interesting distinction of spawning right between

Two sets of extreme hills by the way if you want corn nuts or any of these things they’re going to be in the top left as you can see right there it’s it’s a thing that likes to for all seeds some days just because obviously being

Able to work it out from the video out or from the map it’s possible and that’s how I like to do things personally but if you like just seeing hardcore nuts to work towards then that’s a thing you can do speaking of hard things to work towards look at this extreme health bite

This is I think even bigger than the one from the 404 challenge and it’s pretty great because it’s pretty consistent too like it’s snowy on the top it’s it’s fairly flat for an extreme Hills which might not be the ideal thing if you’re going for a mountainous thing but if you

Just want to live high up and you want to live with this you know very interesting grass that you get here again I hate this color but you know I hate a lot of things I hate being stepped on and some people might like

That so I mean in general I mean no I I’ve never tried being stepped on actually but I’ve also never tried living on this green grass and maybe I shouldn’t you know like a bad mouth fit it is worth mentioning though there is this cross which was born all over this

Biome and then just in case this isn’t enough extreme Hills for you on the other side of spawn you’ve got more of it as well so yeah my honest first impressions are this seed is great if you love extreme hills and yeah beside for everyone else I guess we’re gonna

You know the jury’s still out because it is a really nice extreme health with extreme hills you tend to find floating islands from time to time you tend to find float floating single box and it’s really cool when you do find them still so is worth not mentioning this scene is

Grateful of that because it gets even where drish you head over here and you see that it mixes into a beach biome so you get like oh here’s a here’s a gravel Mountain which again crime against humanity I should mention this is the worst thing the world but next to that

Crime gets me on see there’s a giant beach which means there’s a tiny chance of finding like a buried treasure chest and sighs one of these mountains that’s always a fun thing to find but yeah if you’ve ever wanted to see a entire biome made of gravel here is one of the

Biggest ones I’ve seen in some time the gravel Mountain if I’m not mistaken is a bedrock exclusive and you know it’s a good thing it probably should stay that way there is so much gravel here that this seat is perfect if you want to make a lot of concrete and you’re just not

Sure where to plant gravel because I will be honest there is a very small subsection of players who like making concrete who can’t find gravel and I like oh man why why did you make fun of it this biome has a lifetime supply of gravel and sand for that matter so it’s

Perfect for concrete makers if you just here to play survival and to make some concrete monsters maybe that’s your thing but also behind that you can see how like ah there’s also this nice little I spoke biome it’s a windy shaped one that I think has is this blue ice by

The white light specter sir it looked like us it’s like huh there’s some icebergs that have rammed into each other maybe separate iceberg biomes that have collided it’s a weird thing you don’t always see but yeah there’s a lot of packed ice a lot of ice and an

Iceberg biome you you probably familiar with them by now let’s get back to the spawn though and let’s see what this seed has to offer if you don’t like gravel if you don’t like you know all of this mountain stuff and if you don’t like forests because if you like forests

You can be happy of any minecraft seed like I don’t want to be offensive here but if you like forests you’re the easiest to please person the world I like would literally minecraft most abundant resource that you can farm infinitely once you chop down a single

One I love to see a whole biome of that if that’s you the boy you should be hyped about this but you should be hyped about the Sun rise in the morning you should be hyped about the fact that like man did you know chickens come from eggs

Also eggs come from chickens man isn’t that crazy yeah that’s that’s that’s your level of excitement right there you know I think I’d like to be that excited rather than being so cynical about the world and all the seeds in it maybe I should just say everything’s great like

Man isn’t it wonderful there’s a third extreme he’ll buy him just in case the first two weren’t enough for you and there’s more forests just in case the first forest wasn’t enough there but there is a village not too far away from spawn maybe this village is our Savior

Okay so this is actually quite interesting the the blacksmith chest which has generated here again as we’ve seen so far quite rare in mumbay minecraft but sad sad reasons but um yeah as you can see like this is generated next this house here I love it here if like turning yet building the

Two things together making a mega house maybe just saying fun idea you could work with but yet we’re here for the loop what free loop does this seed give us four bits of obsidian some iron leggings and some mine that’s actually pretty good I’m I’m diggin that you should give the

Minecraft joke so yeah looking around the rest of this we can be like okay that was a nice place then we’ve got some regular houses I don’t know if there’s anyone excited about these in general but still it’s a pretty big village it has horses here it

Has pigs here it has free blacksmith Luke like for obsidian that’s actually pretty good I would say what does a Minecraft village by itself make the seed worth playing probably not but if you like concrete and you want some free loop this seed has a nice little bribe

To give you it also probably has to be noted that there’s a pretty big flat land that’s in a weird formation again most people probably won’t be able to take use of this but if you want a really Wiggly shape flat land so you can make flat-ish builds but then have them

Be surrounded by non flat biomes then boy we have another niche seed for you so yeah I think overall based on everything we’ve seen so far this isn’t a particularly great seed so yeah the thing we’ve determined from all of these classic minecraft seeds that you might

Have heard of is if you load them up in one day minecraft they’re just a regular seat because they always were just a regular seat sprite might sound like it’s a famous seed or worse seed ever might seem like it’s gonna do some into the wool generator or the game does

Though is it turns into text sprite turns into -1 8 1 1 8 1 2 6 3 5 and that’s not a particularly exciting seed you know like it’s just a random series of numbers and at one point that random series of ones and zeros added up to

Make something which led to a seed you liked but nowadays it adds up to make a seed that you don’t like although is average because most seeds are average most of everything is average most people average you watching this video statistically your average if you’re not average everyone you know is average

Your best friend is average your mother’s average you know like you’ll ask OB was Mother’s average is that offensive you know what if your mum wasn’t such an average parent then maybe maybe you’d know the answer to that question so with that said yeah we’ve can’t we basically learned that

Everything is average these famous seeds I was hoping we’d get like a standout result something will be amazing after all these years we just got a lot of pretty good – okay – bad like that there wasn’t any standout seats in that way so let’s do

Something I’ve wanted to do for a long time let’s see my let’s play seat my survival seat I’ve been playing on for seven years now let’s see what the seed that you type in what I typed in all those years ago just being like oh I want everything in this

World I typed in everything and people always ask me like how do you get the same seed the answer is you can’t if you type in everything today you’re not gonna get the same seed as you did all those years ago but you know I’m curious

Anyway what happens if we do type it in in modern day minecraft so let’s go and find out shall we so when I first typed it in back in 2012 back in episode 1 of the let’s play here is the world I spawned into there was a

Big forest and then there was some lava somewhat near that and then there were lots of things like this what we get in 2019 1 we get a pretty solid spawn of almost zero zero spawning the origin of your world it’s just a good thing in general so and no complaints there and

So you can already see how we spawn in a pretty nice plane spine with a village right next to us let’s go check that out immediately shall we oh it’s not just a spawn next to a village it’s a spawn next to a village of a nice low Town

Square which happens to be slightly over a ravine a huge ravine which by the way based on you know the looks bit I’ll confirm goes all the way down to Diamond let yeah that’s correct you get a huge lava filled ravine which you know may be terrifying to look at but that means

You’re gonna have immediate access to a bunch of caves with a bunch of resources like gold like coal like redstone like I know all the things you might want including the fact that because you’re so low down which you can do from one hop down or one ladder down the side of

This ravine you can start mining for diamonds immediately which is it’s cool in my opinion but just in case that’s not your thing because I think this is the second maybe even third seed we’ve shown off that has this rare you know combo of like oh yeah it’s a village in

A ravine what a cool little thing so you know like okay so if you’re not a big fan of that that’s what else is a seed offer cuz I really love the balanced of the spawn of like oh yeah you spawn in the middle of a plains there’s a there’s a biome there

There’s a biome there there’s a but I love that it’s Tiffany’s direction but what actually is in each direction so if you followed the extreme Hills all the way along you get a pretty nice big mountain going almost as high as the bedrock engine can go if you don’t know

Bedrock is limited below why 128 as far as natural you can go you can build above that but the game can not so you get right next to cloud level which is a thing you might like you also can see how there’s some weird flat parts for over there

That might be your thing but assuming that you know if you liked an extreme Hill Street to like one of the other seeds what do you get if you had served at the North you head further past this ravine well pretty close by to this first village you can see them both from

The same screen after you passed over this lava pit you’re gonna see how there is a giant tiger village so firstly let’s just take a bunch of like hey its lover near spawn again break the speed running great for that source stuff there is one proof of similarity here

Which is that like oh yeah on my old seed I spawned somewhat near a lava pit on this one you spawn only a couple hundred blocks away and also there’s a forest nearby so those two things are true everything else seems to be a little bit wonky though

And by wonky I mean entirely not the same which is which is just fine in my opinion so let’s check out this village right here which is a tiger village it’s one of the few houses I haven’t liked either I haven’t seen or I haven’t paid attention to you before like this one

Right here I quite like this house design a lot actually like oh it’s like a church oh it is it is literally the taiga Church it’s a really bizarre lead designed one but you know if that’s how they like to live their lives walking into the side of the churches

Rather than the front they can do that you know there the tiger villages they can make their own decisions in life including having a blacksmith chest that’s right and iron boots and an iron pickaxe just for showing up over here you get a few other freebies as well as

A cave which goes right into the village which funnily enough this guy fell into and I don’t think and get out off so you know go in the cave save the village up or go in the cave and just get some Moors if that’s your thing kind of nice

That this village has all of those options I would say you know like honestly a slightly above average village if only for the fact that it has that you know blacksmith and because of this thing which apparently don’t fry into a tree so yeah we get to villages

Somewhat near spawn and we get a extreme Hill Mountain what else do we get well on my seed you know there’s an extreme health mountain near my cave like living with some lava pouring out of it which I still haven’t fixed as of 2019 I leave

It there it’s like it have a feature and there’s a similar thing here probably by pure chance but I mean it’s happy to see me regardless right you don’t maybe I’m the wrong person to look at this seed beam on the wrong bus – probably judge what’s where because I’m trying to see
