So a lot of you have been asking me to make things that you didn’t know about biomes in Minecraft so here I am today to do exactly that so what’s going on guys my name is Antony and today I’m going to be bringing you all 20 things That you didn’t know about biomes in Minecraft now if you guys do enjoy today’s video then be sure to give this video a like rating as it’s going to help me out a huge bunch now if this video is able to hit over 7,000 likes then that would just simply be also not Gonna lie but anyways without further ado let’s go ahead and get straight into today’s video about biomes I hope you all enjoy it this is a very interesting one in total there are 62 biomes overall in Minecraft today there are 38 main biomes in the overworld one biome in the Nether one volume in the end and 22 technical biomes bringing the total number to 62 biomes there are definitely a lot more buyers than I thought there were in Minecraft today biomes are separated into five categories snowy biomes cold biomes medium biomes dry warm biomes and neutral biomes snowy Biomes offer biomes ranging from ice bike biomes to cold tiger biomes cold biomes offer biomes ranging from extreme hills to regular tiger medium biomes offer lots of different biomes such as the planes biome forest biome roofed forest biome jungle biome and many more dry warm biomes offer biomes such as the desert The savanna the Mesa and the nether neutral biomes are known as the biomes that are usually covered almost entirely with water and have very little land exposed so um yeah the ocean would be known as a neutral biome in this part of the video I’m going to be talking about The evolution of Minecraft biomes and explaining how they’ve changed over time so back in the earlier days of Minecraft in the early stages of craft alpha biomes were not yet added into the game which resulted in Minecraft world’s looking rather strange so when the player would create a world Before alpha 1.2 minecraft worlds would look like this the player was basically restricted to only one set biome if you will which pretty much consisted of bright green grass with the occasional bits of sand and ocean around your Minecraft world now when minecraft alpha 1.2 was released biomes received a major Overhaul changing how your welds looked completely so the type of world you’d get in alpha 1.2 were in my opinion some of the best world generation you could get I don’t know I just really liked how crazy and random the world generation was as you’d get these huge random Mountain structures as well as these awesome looking overhangs not only that but you’d also get these random patches of grass where tall grass didn’t generate at all which meant you’d have a lot more flat ground to build a house now the biomes you get in alpha 1.2 are Known as the before beta 1.8 biomes as these biomes lastly from alpha 1.2 to beta 1 point 7 however in version that beta 1 point a a new biome code was implemented resulting in minecraft biomes receiving another overhaul the world generation in beta 1.8 and onwards looked quite different As biomes such as the swamp jungle and extreme Hills were implemented adding a lot more variety to your Minecraft world however in version released 1.7 biomes received a final overhaul as lots of new biomes were added such as Mesa biomes root Forest birch forest savanna ice Spikes and many more biomes but yeah as of the minecraft at 1.7 update biomes still look and work the same in Minecraft today emerald ore is the rarest or in Minecraft as emerald ore can only be found in the stream hills biome if a snow golem is Spawned in any dry warm biome such as a desert biome or Mesa biome or the nether then it will instantly start dying upon spawning which is very sad to be honest rest in peace snow golem you will be missed back in the earlier days of Minecraft in the early stages of Minecraft alpha there was a feature in the game known as winter mode so when players created a world in early alpha they had a 75% chance of their worlds being the generic well type which is just the normal world I showed you all earlier in this video however you also Had a 25% chance of getting a different world type when creating a world and this well type was known as winter mode in winter mode worlds it would constantly be snowing and snow tiles would be created anywhere in the world that’s exposed to the sky animals also Didn’t spawn as much in winter mode making it quite a challenging world type to survive on however when biomes were added in alpha 1.2 winter mode was removed from the game the weather you experience in your Minecraft world actually depends on what biome you’re in so if you’re in a snowy Biome such as an ice spike surprise surprise it’s only going to be snowing and it will never rain now if you’re in a medium biome such as a forest for example then it’s only going to be raining as you can see on screen now in dry warm biomes such as desert biomes it Will not rain or snow at all but the sky in the desert biome will turn to an overcast look if it is raining and snowing in other biomes which is very interesting another cool thing about weather effects in biomes is that you can see the transition between the Weather when you enter a new biome so for example if I enter a jungle biome from an ice bike boy and then the weather will go from snowing to raining another example is that if I enter a desert biome from a play Byam then the weather will go from Raining to overcast it’s trivia time this is the part of the video where you guys show me your Minecraft knowledge by me asking you a random minecraft back questions so here we go how many times have I said the word biome in this video let me know in the comment section below This is a serious trivia time question everybody I genuinely want to know the sky dimension was a plan dimension in Minecraft that was going to have its own exclusive biome type it was intended to be the opposite of the nether before being replaced by the n dimension in Minecraft today the sky dimension would generate floating islands trees were uncommon and no weather whatsoever occurred despite having small patches of snow in random places this biome was introduced in version that beta 1.6 along with the sky dimension itself big could only be accessed by the use of Mods but remained in the game code the biome along with the sky dimension itself was removed in version beta 1.9 pre-release fall back in the earlier days of Minecraft before the beta 1.8 Update there was at biome in the game known as ice desert now this was a biome Of sand with snow on top of it and it was able to have the snow weather effect as well this was definitely a rather strange but interesting biome nonetheless the mushroom biome is the only biome in Minecraft where mobs both passive and hostile are not able to spawn at all Other than mushroom curls regardless of the lights level so yeah this basically makes the mushroom biome the safest biome in Minecraft back in the earlier days of Minecraft from version beta 1.8 to release one point 2.1 villages that generated in desert biomes were actually made out of wood and Cobblestone as you can see on screen however in release 1.3.1 a change was made to where villagers would be made out of sandstone in desert biomes rather than wood and cobblestone the Mesa biome has a very unique exclusive feature where gold ore is able to generate on the Surface which is awesome so yeah you could just be walking around in a Mesa and find some gold ore on the surface the only fictional biomes in Minecraft are the nether the end and the mushroom biome all the other biomes are entirely based on real-life counterparts the Mesa Biome also has another awesome exclusive feature and the feature is that abandoned mine shafts are also able to generate on the surface and they’re also made out of dark oak wood rather than regular oak wood in Minecraft there is a biome that is currently unused and the Name of the biome is frozen ocean this biome is a typical ocean with squid swimming around but the top layer of the water is completely covered by ice the Mesa biome and ice bike biome are extremely rare biomes indeed but the rarest biome in Minecraft is the Mushroom biome which if you didn’t know looks like this and it’s home to mushroom cowls but anyways that just about concludes today’s video about biomes everybody I really hope you all enjoyed it and or found it informative now as always if you guys want to play On my minecraft server then the IP is pol
