Okay guys today i’m going to show you how to set up the developer environment for making minecraft mods for 1.7.10 you will need java installed on your machine as well as gradle if you don’t i will put links in the description for both for all java gradle and minecraft forge 1.7.10 which you’re going to need we’re gonna do is go into minecraft forge and the zip copy all these files actually we’re just gonna do this explorer i’m gonna go to desktop i’m gonna go to minecraft mods ecocraft because that’s what i’m gonna call this one We’re gonna click and drag and copy all those into here the next thing we can close that is we’re going to create these two files that i have done here a setup workspace dot bat and a setup eclipse.bat and in the setup workspace we’re going to type in gradle w space Setup d comp workspace and then in the eclipse one we’re going to set up gradle w eclipse so once you have all those two typed in go ahead and move those into this folder here so yeah once you create those go ahead and run the setup one and give it some time Uh depending on i guess your machine or whatnot i don’t know your internet it can take some time mine won’t take too long here so we’ll just let it run there we’re finished and then once you’ve created the workspace you’re going to want to do the eclipse one And these shouldn’t take long either that said build success now everything in this folder is set up so we can go ahead and we can kind of close that off next thing we’re going to do is open up eclipse if you don’t have it installed i will also put a Link to eclipse in the description um as you can see it’s from another one uh we’re gonna hit switch workspace and you’re gonna go to other i guess it is ecocraft eclipse go to browse go to where your mod use nate you have your mod and go to the eclipse folder that’s the Furthest thing that you need to go and click ok and click ok eclipse will then restart and once it’s restarted you’ll see it has a minecraft folder here means it kind of worked opened it up if you can see in this drop down they have An example of a mod getting it set up and everything we are actually going to just delete this because we don’t need that and you can see in okay there’s nothing there that they put in there okay so first do is click um source slash main underscore java And say you want to create a new package and we want to name this com.whatever or like i usually do me dots and then my name i mod minecraft if i can spell then dot the name of the project ecocraft and then go ahead and hit finish And once that’s finished you want to go ahead and create and make sure you’re clicked on this new package you just created and we want to create a new class called your package name so ecocraft and finish so once that’s installed and set up we want to have it run Oops we want to have it create that package and that’s where i’m going to leave this one all right sorry my microphone just randomly turned itself off this is where we’re going to leave this one in the next video i will show you how to create the mod class And then after that we will go from there creating items blocks adding recipes and stuff like that so um if you like this and you found this part of it at least helpful please leave a like and subscribe and i will get another one up for creating this mod class here shortly thanks Video Information
