impulseSV – Exploring Is Fun! – Hardcore Skyblock Minecraft (#7)

Today is an exciting day we’re gonna do some exploration finally make our way out to the outer Islands I’ve collected a bunch of ice and I’m gonna go out all four cardinal directions and we’re gonna explore every single Island I think we might even get an advancement for it so

Let’s go all right we’ve got our ice path built all the way out to the jungle biome here and let’s head on up and see what’s in store for us and we have made it look at this so we’ve got ourselves some cocoa beans we’ll take that and of

Course if we take the jungle wood with us we can replant that back at home we’ve got some watermelon which I’m kind of afraid to harvest because it could fall over the edge all right put a little safety platform first go ahead and grab that and I’m gonna want

Saplings from this guy too so I’m gonna go ahead and build a much bigger platform make sure that we are able to catch anything that despawns all right that should be good let’s cut this guy down and let’s hope we get four saplings from it two saplings so far

Halfway there oh I missed a block you gotta be kidding me oh oh oh there’s two right there nice okay we have four we can make a big jungle tree when we get back and I’m gonna stick around see if we can get a few more okay

There’s number five well not so much luck that is literally the last leave and we only have five saplings so we’re gonna have to hope the next one we grow gives us a little better return maybe this last one at least one more sapling

Come on you can do it dang it so now that we’ve got the ice paths going out in all four cardinal directions I’m thinking we make a giant Loop right if you think about it that Island right there can go over to that one and then

Over to that one and so on all the way around in a bit of a circle or Square I guess in this case so I think I have enough ice and stone to actually connect them all together and that would be kind of cool because then we can loop around

At least the set of inner Islands because even past these inner islands are even further Islands which we’ll have to continue that path on even further when we want to get out there but at least the inner Islands I want to connect everything together today so I’m

Going to continue on it’s done we’ve completed the entire Square which means if we wanted to we could ride around to underneath every single Island in this first Loop anyway which actually kind of sounds like fun let’s do it all right here we go we’re going all the way

Around so this one this was where we had our tiger our ice Farm is up there this one is our birch tree so we need to definitely get up to that so we can start collecting some birch wood and then we go over to this one this is

Where our Mangrove is and we need to go a little further out of course to get that cherry blossom but let’s keep on going and we’ve got our dark oak tree I believe up there so we gotta get that oh my gosh we are cruising along the ice we

This is a this is the way to travel I’ll tell you that it’s super fun and then in this corner what do we have up there Savannah tree uh so we can get up there that’s the acacia tree actually it’s our Savannah Biome and we can get up there

And get that as well and over there Pillager Outpost look at this we’re seeing all this stuff now that we’ve gone out further we’ve got a Pillager Outpost we’ve got an ice Spike I’m there’s all sorts of stuff as we travel further out on this island and I’m not

Sure what that one is maybe powdered snow over there I’m not sure what that Island’s gonna give us and here’s one that’s real intriguing drip stone with that we could actually get infinite lava that would be cool and then there we go we just made the entire Loop so yeah

It’s coming along at least now we have a nice way to travel around and it’s looking pretty cool I gotta admit I think I think that looks really good there’s a bit of cleanup that we do definitely need to do remember our starting paths that we did yeah I think

We could get rid of those once we’re ready to have a much better way up so while I’m out here at the husk Farm I want to mention something I had a comment that had a very good idea instead of going down to despawn all the

Mobs and then coming back what if we used a sweeper to just sweep them off and then we could just have a little AFK room and I think it’d be easy enough to do we’ve got everything we need to do it I probably don’t have enough slime

Though because the sweeper would be of course a slime block flying machine and I’m probably going to need to get a few more slime blocks to make that work so I’m thinking we actually go back in that slime farm we’ve been talking about oop I missed my turn I think that slime

Block or slime farm we’ve been talking about for a while I think it’s time to make that happen this is a lot harder than I thought to make this turn holy smokes slow and steady and we got it first try all right so it’s literally just this area here and we don’t even

Need it to be the full chunk let’s just take what we have maybe just this bit right here just need an iron golem to lure him out and basically have them go into maybe some campfires because that seems to be easy for us to kill Mobs with and then Hoppers to collect the

Slime balls alright step one we need a little spawning platform so we’ll put some solid blocks down right here like I said I don’t really want it to get in the way of anything so we’re not even gonna take the full chunk and because Skyblock right Open Sky access ooh

Actually that’s in the way we’ll just go ahead and remove this oh got a bit of a mess down there uh yeah this slime farm is gonna work just fine I think okay next up we need ourselves a little killing chamber here so I’ve got

Some of the Soul Sand fires on top of Hoppers leading into this chest and then we just gotta draw them in by getting an iron golem right there all right hopefully that will do let’s step back and find out there we go big guy seems to be fitting in there not all the

Way and but then when he breaks down they make it in and might need to extend our Hoppers out just a little bit Yeah I was worried about that we got a slime ball right there that didn’t get collected and these little guys don’t seem to see him let’s just try this take

These out so they have to go in a little bit further to actually get burned and because the big guys kind of got caught up which I thought might happen I’ll take these out as well and hopefully that’ll do it all right let’s step back and do another test okay slime spawn immediately

Another one good here I’m gonna stay back free cam it that way we’re not messing with spawns but we can still get close enough to see this is the one I wanted to see this big guy what happens looks like he’s working his way in there okay

Excellent yeah I think this slime Farm’s gonna do this will be just fine 42 slime balls 45 40 seconds this is raining in oh my gosh that literally took me like five minutes I love Skyblock so I made myself a new friend here even got an advancement for

It which is nice and I’m gonna be collecting some snow layers because part of the conversion process we’re gonna do is going to require these and I’ll explain more in a minute but I’ve got a simple easy snow Farm here that we can just go ahead and do this in fact like I

Said I actually need snow layers so my silk touch shovel is gonna come in handy right now all right so we’re gonna replace these trap doors that we’re blocking spider spawns with two layers of snow and the reason is because the slime block Pusher would get stuck on

These because literally the arms are gonna be right above these trap doors right at that level and they would basically get stuck on them but they won’t get stuck on two layers of snow so we can still reduce the spawns or block the spawns with two layers of snow

Without the slime blocks getting stuck and that will work fine so we’re gonna just go ahead and Swap all these out right now okay this should do the trick now we need to build our slime block sweeper machine so I want to actually kind of put them out into the void just

A little bit and that gives them a little bit more time to travel out there and let some spawns happen before they come back and make a sweep so we won’t actually have to do any kind of like Etho Hopper clock or any kind of timer

It’ll just be just about right to allow the spawns to happen allow some husks to make their way out of the danger zone and well and into the new danger zone and then the rest can get swept off so all right I’m gonna go ahead and build

This up and I need to travel out over the void which is always terrifying and hopefully we don’t fall okay we’re about 14 blocks out and I’m gonna put this furnace down because this is our immovable block this is going to help stop the actual slime block machine from

Just like flying off into the void and actually come to think of it I’m one block too low oh I’m glad I was able to catch that so we gotta go up one and then we put an observer there so basically when the Flying Machine comes

In this Observer is going to detect that it has arrived send a signal into the furnace and we’re going to take that and basically allow it to trigger the machine to then turn around and go back the other we can do that by putting redstone dust on top of that furnace a

Repeater on two ticks and then an iron trap door right in front of that repeater so then we need to line up our Observer that’s actually going to get re-triggered by that trapdoor so if we go straight across we can see that’s straight ahead and we put this Observer

Facing down that means when that trapdoor hits the top of it signal is going to come out the bottom and that is going to activate our piston which will be downward diagonal right there actually I did it on the wrong side we want to be pushing it that direction of

Course then before I build any more and accidentally send this off in the wrong direction I need to go across to the other side and across from this piston directly and do the same exact kind of catching and sanding machine that we did there all right we got that in place and

If I did everything right all we need to do is add this last Observer and we should be good to go now I don’t want this to take this with me but let’s see if it works there it goes off that direction and it should just stop because we have that

Lever activating the Redstone so we’re gonna actually have to go over and turn that back on so that this thing does operate back and forth all right I think I’m completely out of the way of this machine and we can reach the lever and off it should go perfect and now the

Question is is it going to come back yep it looks like that worked it’s on its way back sweet now one problem with flying machines is that if you unload chunks while they’re in motion it tends to break them so I may want to put a mechanism in place that will only allow

This to run if I’m afkane basically so I no longer need that track solution that we put in last time with this going this should work just fine but maybe instead I make myself a little AFK room and when I’m standing in that room I could be on

A pressure plate and that actually allows the flying machine to run I think that would be a nice elegant solution as much as it pains me to destroy something that took me a while to build I think it’s worth it now that our solution’s much better hey everyone I got a quick

All there all right the Sun is setting so this gives us a chance to see if this thing is going to work I’m going to go ahead and go into free cam mode so we can stand on our spot this is the perfect spot to AFK because over 24

Blocks away begins right here and that means they will get all sorts of spawning on the entire platform we’ve made and that should happen very soon and that we should start seeing the sweeper hopefully sweep most of the other mobs that are not husks off this

Platform and then our rates will be much much improved so far not a single house there’s a little baby husk the babies have had a hard time figuring out how to go up the stairs but that guy’s gonna make it right there let’s see and more

Coming now some of these guys if they’re just spawning right when the machine comes probably not gonna make it that’s just bad timing and and that’s okay but some of these guys might actually make it let’s see a couple of them oh just barely and we did lose a few okay now

The real test here we got new spawns coming in that’s taking its sweet time to get to the end and start to come back and hopefully most the platform is cleared off by the time it does and it looks like yeah that’s working really good maybe one or two husks might get

Swept off but that’s still a lot better than what we were dealing with before in fact I think they all made it there’s not a single husk got lost there Perfect all right another one coming back this house might make it might not it’s gonna be a close call

He’s not gonna make it all right we lost one no biggie I think now’s a good time to mention because I did see in the comments that some people were worried that if I was just standing out in the open that we would get Phantoms and

That’s actually not a problem as long as we are below sea level which we basically have been since we’ve decided to move down here also kind of the same deal with lightning lightning won’t strike down here so this villager doesn’t have to be worried about getting hit by lightning and turning into a

Witch so we are good it’s another advantage of kind of like dropping down in the world when you’re playing Skyblock all right sun is coming up so it looks like we’re not getting any more spawns and whoa that’s the first I’ve seen of that a slime just spawned we have

Another slime chunk maybe just next to this one and it spawned on the leaves I’m very confused how that happened but that’s crazy that’s the first time I’ve seen that another good reason to make sure we have a nice safe room to stand in so I’m gonna do that next I’m gonna

Get some Redstone we’re gonna run a line out there so this thing only runs at night or I should say when I’m standing on this pressure plate and then we won’t have to risk breaking this when the chunks unload which we’re actually about to do we’re about to risk that because

I’m gonna go back to the main island there and grab all the materials that I need let’s take a look in this chest I did throw some other junk in there while I was kind of getting all this stuff squared away but uh it looks like we got

I’d say ooh it’s a little less than I thought I guess it could have been filling up some of the other stack first but we do have a decent amount of sand from all this and lots of rotten flesh of course hey what do you know it didn’t

Break nice all right a torch under it that will power that and that will stop it so basically now we just need to run a line to the pressure plate so that when we’re standing on it it’ll turn that torch off and then the machine can

Run all right moment of truth we got a line going all the way out there and we step on the pressure plate there it goes perfect and I get off it and it stops all right another successful night AFK at the farm and I had cleared this out first so now we can

See okay I mean we’re still getting around the same I guess as we were before I don’t know why it just seems so much more efficient to do it this way but we’re still getting about two and and close to a half a stack I’ve made a

Few modifications to this Farm now we now have a water elevator here that’s shooting all the items that come in and we’re sending them over to a quick little sorting system and I’m only going to keep the sand that’s right everything else is just gonna slide off into the

Void and basically get destroyed so yeah I don’t need this stuff I’ve got enough of it and I’m able to keep this now and I got a little chamber that I can go into and activate this pressure plate and I actually afk’d for an entire night

In real life not just one in game day and look at all the sand we have collected in fact some are going into this one and yes I have a bunch of junk I need to bring back and get sorted but yeah look at all this it’s coming in and

We’ve got a good amount of sand just from one night so this is working just great I didn’t die which is fantastic because yeah I’m not ready to lose this world we’re just we’re like things are just getting started here we’re just heating up with all the things that

We’re doing so uh in fact I just realized I got distracted today I got I got a little just hyper focused on upgrading this farm and forgot what today was all about aren’t we supposed to explore all those islands around us yeah I promised we would do that today

Didn’t I all right let’s go so I’ve been thinking about it most of these islands don’t actually need to stay up where they are we can just collect everything from them and actually tear it down and if we need anything from that specific biome we could just do everything down

Here so I don’t need these tall ladders and I don’t need to go up and down I don’t need bubble elevators I don’t need any of that unless there’s some sort of reason and it’ll look a lot cleaner we won’t have just random floating stuff in

The sky anymore so that’s what I’m gonna do now this might take me a while And the jungle island is gone grabbed everything I could from it and I’m gonna have to take this back and then we will head on over to I guess we’ll do the dark oak next foreign I think I just came up with a big brain idea I’m gonna make a hoe I’m gonna buy looting that we got from this guy and I’m gonna put it on the hoe and we’re actually going to use that hoe to harvest all the leaves that we get from

All the trees that we’re about to go discover and that way we make sure that we definitely have each sampling type as we go around all right I got a fortune to I think I’m gonna settle for that and just buy two books and then we’ll upgrade it to

Fortune three and we’ll be good to go all right there’s our fancy Fortune three hoe and off we go that didn’t mean to rhyme and we have made it I think I’ll also use these snow blocks as a little catching platform because if we lose some no big deal they’re super

Cheap to get all right let’s see if this works Fortune three so far we haven’t gotten any it wasn’t a myth was it there’s one okay there’s another one as long as we get four we’re good but I would have expected more considering we put fortune on this I’m starting to

Going to have to remember that because this island has been removed next up we’re heading to the Savannah to get that acacia tree okay we’re gonna give our fancy hoe another test and hopefully we get some Acacia saplings here and I think one just felt oh yeah actually we

Got two already all right maybe fortune 3 actually does work we just had a little bit of bad luck on the last tree but yeah this one’s definitely dropping way more than it usually would I mean look at that we got 12 saplings out of that one tree all right we’re over here

In the mushroom Fields Island and there’s no saplings to collect here but I did bring a silk touch shovel which means we should be able to actually collect some mycelium as well as these mushrooms so I’m gonna go ahead and tear this one down as well let’s take a look

At our advancements and see how many islands we have left it’s this one with the compass and it looks like we’ve done eight out of 12 and actually list them in the info on the right so we have done everything except the basalt Deltas Birch Forest Soul Sand Valley fields in

Warp Forest three out of the four of those actually are in the nether so we only have one Overworld one left and that is the Birch Forest which we are about to go up to right now Birch saplings acquired and things are coming along look at this we are starting to

Get every type of wood and that reminds me I didn’t actually collect any of that Mangrove over there which we still have our Sky bridge too so I think I will go over there and remove that one as well just so that kind of only leaves the

Only thing up in the sky at this point our ice farm and then our path that we made out to to that guy which was a complete failure so uh maybe someday I’ll clean that one I’m not feeling that today and then maybe we will actually head over to the nether because we’ve

Got three biomes over there left to go and I kind of want to get this one done today all right we definitely need to grab the propagules here so that we can regenerate these trees back at our Island and got it and I might grab another one here it’s probably worth it

It’s really easy to get swinging away with that hoe and lose track of its durability so it just died on me so we’re gonna have to make another one if we need to collect some more saplings but in this case we’re good to go we’ve got three propagals and we’ll be able to

Regrow this so I’m just going to tear away the wood and let this naturally despawn and we can finish off taking this entire Island down as well three biomes left to go Basalt Deltas Soul Sand Valley fields and warped forest and I can see two of those right here

There’s our warped Forest I believe that’s going to be the basalt Deltas which we’ve already got a path almost all the way there so we’ll finish that off and then I believe the last one is actually across this way across from a mob farm and there’s the Soul Sand so we

Can probably head over there and bridge over that so we’re not bridging over top of our farm so all right got some bridging to do let’s get this done all right we made it to the Warped Forest I think while I’m here I might as well

Grab one of these and since we’ve got silk touch I can grab this as well I think my pick is actually silk touch as well yep so we’ll grab that and then we’ll be able to grow some warped trees back at home now off to the other

Islands we go this Island’s gonna get a little crazy because we’ve got magma cubes spawning so much and obviously we got to be careful not to get too close and get knocked off our bridge over the void by one of them so I’m gonna have to

Just place a few and hopefully we get close enough they stop spawning and we’ll just jump off on their own and then we’ll be cleared to get in there and I’m kind of curious what is in that chest okay we got more warped we don’t need that there’s a little bit of Soul

Soil there but more importantly what’s in the chest ooh another lava bucket and blue ice that means we can actually make a Basalt generator that’s awesome oh and a book let’s read it happy nether update in celebration Skylock will be starting in the nether can you figure out how to

Get back to the normal Skyblock Overworld I will give you a hint head north oh interesting so there’s like another mode that you could do where you actually start in the nether instead of our starter Island and I guess you would start here and then have to make your

Way North that’s super cool this island makes me nervous the Soul Sand Valley known for spawning in gas but with that kind of layout right there with the bones and the fire I’m kind of hoping a gas can actually spawn there so we’re gonna find out the hard way oh we do

Have to worry about that guy oh man we don’t want to get too close we can’t have that thing taking shots at us so we’re just gonna have to take him out block over a few more and just keep looking to make sure another one doesn’t spawn oh this is this is terrifying

There we go we got our challenge complete and I’m wondering if it’s even worth finishing this bridge all the way over there I mean we got what we came for I think what I will do though is take these bone blocks down and then we’ll just go ahead and slap this thing

Up there we go nothing can spawn here now we made our way back and I gotta say things are looking much cleaner now that we’ve taken down some of the sky based platforms and things like that so I’m happy about that we’ve collected a bunch of saplings so now we can start working

On tree farms and using different types of wood we got a few more saplings we need to get and then we’ll have them all and we were able to check off that advancement today which is awesome we got a lot to do but we did actually accomplish quite a bit today and that’s
