Insane Archery Skills in Survival Minecraft!!

What is up everybody welcome back to Minecraft we’re starting out today in the wonderful booknook I went ahead and decorated it a bit we’ve got some some chairs table some Greenery all in all this is a very cozy place to enjoy the wonderful mending books that we can get

From our librarian villager here last episode we made some pretty big advancements with this build we got ourselves mending I have it on actually all of my tools and armor in the last episode I said I wasn’t going to put it on everything just yet but then I

Realized the stuff that I have on everything is stuff I want to keep and so if I’m just going to be combining tools in the future there’s no sense not having mending in the mix already so I can keep this gear nice the one kind of risky one was the diamond sword because

It only has looting two this was the one piece that I might have rolled but now has mending on it so I’m keeping it and hopefully in the future we’ll be able to to put even better enchantments on all this stuff and speaking of better enchantments and better gear in general

That is actually something I would like to take a look at today our gear is pretty good we’re in a pretty good place in terms of the stuff we have but my goal is to very soon have pretty much the best equipment we can have in just

The Overworld without having been to the nether or the end that means there’s a lot of enchantments we can still get on our tools and armor and that also means I would like to start looking at a ranged weapon and I guess thinking about

What I just said uh is a bit of an exaggeration there’s a few things in the Overworld that I would consider great gear that we’re not going to go for yet that would include Swift snake which I’m not planning on looking for an ancient city yet and a good Trident or two but

Trident hunting can be an ordeal and I don’t want to get into that right now maybe at some point in the future what I’m really looking for is to get a great set of armor a great set of tools and the one thing I would like to

Add today is a ranged weapon and I know right now some of you are thinking Bob just take three sticks and three string and make a bow and then you’ve got a ranged weapon and that’s that and you would be right that is technically all

We need to do to get a ranged weapon but look at me I’m in shiny diamond armor you think I can just settle for a normal unenchanted bow no we need to get an incredible bow and it needs to be wonderful and along with it if I don’t

Get the Infinity enchantment I’m going to have to go for some sort of supply of arrows so that I can use my bow and that of course means that we’re going to do some building today we’re not just going to take some simple path to getting

Arranged weapon we’re going to do it in a way that is cool and interesting and fun and I’m pretty sure most of you are going to to enjoy that more anyway and for this build you’re going to see a lot of the same materials we’ve been using recently but we’re going to bring

Something new into the build pallet in the village and that is oh and that is beautiful bamboo I’ve been growing some collecting some between episodes but I’m also going to bring some to plant near where we’re building so that I can continue to grow and harvest more I’m also realizing with

How much stuff I’m trying to bring that it would probably be a good idea to get trolley all right build site build site build site where are we going to be putting our new building we’ve got so much room to work with but this building is going to be pretty large or rather

It’s going to have a large area connected to it that isn’t necessarily the building itself and I think this area here is going to be great for it so we’re going to do something a little different last episode we took a building we switched out the blocks and

Added on to it to make it our own this time I’m going to tear this building down completely and this animal pen and we’re going to put up something completely new in the space where they used to be and before we get started I’m going to take a handful of the bamboo I

Brought over and just plant a bunch of it so that it can be growing while I’m working I’m sorry Mr villager your house has been scheduled for demolition uh but don’t worry we’ll get you a new place to live in the very near future sure there you go on this lower half

I’ve got all the blocks that I pulled out of that building so if you want to create an exact replica of that building these are the exact supplies you’ll need all I need to do now is set these animals free and break open this pen hopefully this is just like a normal pen

And this is a normal Pig and sheep and I’m not actually setting loose some terrible entities that were confined to keep everyone safe but that’s probably not the case all right with the area clear now I need to grab some coar dirt and go find what I would like to have as

The corner I think I want one corner right here the other Corner would be right here but I clear out all this dirt and we can count out 34 blocks in that direction and that will be the total l with this area yeah I think that’s going to work

Perfectly so I’ve got the whole area outlined and I’m starting to fill it in and what I’m trying to make here is just a long strip of Co dirt and my plan is that we are going to make this area into an archery range that’s right I don’t

Just want a bow I also want a place to practice using it and the idea with this archery range is that I’m going to set up like a little area where you stand here and we’ll have different targets of various Heights and at various distances

And all the way down at the end the targets that are the furthest away are far enough away that if we get a bullseye on them we’ll get this advancement for hitting a Bullseye from at least 30 m away this is actually slightly longer than it needs to be for

That but I think this will be a fun addition to the world big archery range and a place that you know we can try and get one of the advancements all right there it is and I went ahead and used white wool over here to kind of designate where you stand

When you’re using the archery range now let’s go ahead and get this place kind of enclosed and start putting in the targets and the things that are going to make this fun so I think I’ll go ahead and put a gate right here in the center

And then I’m going to go ahead and fence this whole area off there we go go the archery range is enclosed and now over here we’re going to set up a little wall this is going to designate the back of the archery range and in just a bit we’re going to be

Adding some targets to this wall so maybe some of you know this maybe some of you don’t but if you take a hay bale and Surround it with redstone dust it creates a Target block I’m going to go ahead and grab eight of those Target blocks are really interesting one cuz

They’re you know a cool looking Block it’s literally a little Target but they also have some Redstone functionality they give off a redstone signal based on how close to the center a projectile hits them which is kind of cool I’ve put some targets into this back wall in semi- random places and so

Now theoretically if we stand back here on the white with a bow and shoot at some of these targets if we were to hit one right in the Bull’s Eye we’d get that achievement I may try that a bit but I’m really not much of an archer in

Minecraft with our other targets I think I’d like to try something kind of fun I think it could be fun to use fences and hay bales these are kind of inspired by the hey Bale dummies you can find outside of Pillager outposts we can set up these little Target head dummies and

I think if we have a few of those in the archery range it could be pretty cool little little targets we could aim for and maybe for a bit of variation the one that’s closest we could make a little shorter that way he doesn’t block as

Much behind him and also it like I said adds a bit of variation and there we go just like that we’ve got a cute little archery range all we need now is a bow to use in it so a lot of buildings we’ve built in the village so far have had

Stone bricks on the base and I think we will keep that up for this build so we’ll start with an 11x s rectangle now this rectangle ends up hanging over the water a bit I could either build out the ground cut into the water a little bit

Change the shape of the this pool or I could do something where I put parts of it on stilts I’m not sure exactly what I want to do yet but let’s look at what we’re going to do to make this building special I think we’re going to probably

Have to pull this house out too it’s quite close to what we’re building here but we’re going to introduce a new block into the village build p and you may have guessed it that block is going to be the bamboo block this is a great looking green

Block and as you all know I’m want to use lots of green in this Village unfortunately the rest of the bamboo wood family is all yellow and I’m not sure I want to use any of the yellow right now so we will be sticking with just this normal bamboo block so I’m

Going to go ahead and use this bamboo to put up a wall all the way around this build the bamboo placing sound is quite Pleasant I do like it h what is this building doesn’t look like it’s really anything important so I’m probably going to tear you

Down all right with that building out of the way we can actually see what we’re doing now now I think what we’re going to do is Cap this off with some jungle logs the two mainwood types we’re using in the village are jungle and Mangrove

So making sure to include a bit of those in this build will make it fit even though we are using something new like bamboo wood and I think on the inside of this building I am going to use jungle PL planks what I’m hoping is that by

Doing this on the floor and just having like a strip of that on the wall near the ceiling will end up looking really good as that becomes just kind of an accent the room and I think that it is looking correct so far now let’s look at the roof line this building’s pretty

Short so I don’t want the roof to be too tall or to look wrong and I think it could also be cool right here in the middle to throw in some chiseled stone bricks just as a little decorative block and I think we’ll go ahead and do the

Rest of the roof line out of Mangrove wood since that’s something we’ve been using a lot of in the village and I don’t want it to get too much taller than this so I think what we’ll do is cap it off with slabs at about that

Level we end up with a roof line like that a little shorter a little more squat also I think we have enough bamboo so I’m going to take down our temporary bamboo Farm already this stuff grows so fast it is quite easy to get a lot of it

And just like that we have a nice quaint little building however this shape is a little too simplistic for my liking this is looking pretty good so far but I would like to add another little section to the building so I think what we can

Do is not quite flush to the other end of the building we can add a new wall coming out something like this and with how far out that brings the building I think it’ll make the most sense to just bring the land in and kind of make this

Little pool just end a little earlier I think I’ll be fine with that but now with a new area a new section of the building we can go ahead and build this up like we did the other part and I think I’d like to take this part of the

Building and again bring it up to blocks using the bamboo now for the top of this kind of tower I want to do a slightly different roof line I’m going to have stairs that fully wrap around in the corners then I’ve added some hidden light sources that’ll help light this

Place up and then I want to come in with more of these chiseled stone blocks I really like the look of these blocks they also have a very similar pattern to the Target block so I think it kind of works on this build so we’ll put these

Blocks here at the top of the tower and then cap them off with some more Mangrove and I think we’ll fill in the rest popping it up slightly and that should be pretty good for the roof of the Tower and now this build is looking pretty good but it is lacking a certain

Level of detail but I think we can f fix that using fences and fence gates so here’s what I’m thinking we put fences with open fence gates in between them and then on the longer sides we do two fences next to each other so we get this

Whole filled in Middle thing like that I think that helps hide the transition from Stone to Mangrove a little bit better which was kind of harsh before and I think that adds a really nice layer of detail to the top of the tower and I think I want to do some more

Underneath the roof line too there we go with all the fences and fence gates in I think that really helps the tower feel a little less plain and a lot more finished last thing I’ll do is add just a little bit of light up here

Cuz the very top of this Tower is the only spawnable area on this roof so as long as that’s lit I don’t have to worry about anything spawning up there now I’d like to do just a little bit of interior decorating we can use some stairs and a

Slab to set up a little desk and we can add in a floor to this room and then I think we can take a few of the blocks that we were using on the outside of the build and use them to clutter up the room a bit

That feels nice I like that I do like the area to feel cluttered cuz that makes it feel lived in but I don’t like it to feel cramped so I think what we can do to help open this space up a bit is add in some windows

I think it would also be fun and make sense for there to be a path from inside this building right out into the archery range cuz here’s my idea with this building my idea is that this archery range this isn’t just my archery range this is The Village’s archery range and

You know the villagers love to come here but well there’s got to be some organization some rules someone to make sure people are safe and also someone that can you know Supply the patrons with bows and arrows to be able to come out here and enjoy the archery range so

This is kind of the building where that person is going to work and we’re going to be bringing a villager in here making them a Fletcher and they are going to be the one in charge of the village archery range so with a bit of ground added to

Help this building make a little bit more sense I think it’s time to get our worker who’s going to be working in here so I believe we need two pieces of flint and a little bit of wood to be able to make the Fletching table I’m also going to grab some emeralds and

Some extra wood to be able to trade with the new Fletcher so this villager here has been hanging around my stone cutter that I put down I think if I throw the Fletching table in there and break the stone cutter he should head right inside hello sir welcome to your new job

I want to put his Fletching table back there in that corner that way when he’s over there working at it kind of puts him you know behind the desk where he would be as the owner of this business hello sir I see you sell arrows I would actually be very

Interested in buying your arrows and I would love to get this guy leveled up enough that he sells some good Enchanted bows and even tipped arrows at the end but for now I going to take one bow from him and why not just for fun why don’t

We take a very hopeful first shot with this bow and get the bullseye achievement on our very first shot ready go nope hey at least I hit the target yeah that’s definitely not the bullseye though oh well let’s take our new bow back to the magic cave see if we can get

Any good enchantments on it all right let’s see what’s available power four oh yes that that is the best thing that I could get on a bow which which means I think I’m going to have to go hit the spider farm and get up to level 30 so that we can take that

Enchantment come next we Ride I am still very happy with the path we made from the base out to the spider farm it is always Pleasant to go for a ride down this Trail just like that we’ve hit Level 30 and I also went ahead and topped off all my

Tools since I was already at the XP farm now we’re ready to head home and see how good a bow we can make all right enchanting table what will you give me besides just power Four nothing just power four huh okay I guess I could live with that so when it comes to Bow enchantments there is an interesting thing to consider which is the fact that mending and infinity are mutually exclusive mending means you can repair the bow but Infinity means that

As long as you have one arrow in your inventory the bow will be able to fire arrows and never run out so which am I going to go for the answer is probably both I’m probably going to get one bow with mending one bow with infinity and

The reason is I like getting a super strong perfect bow and then putting mending on it so that I can have that bow forever and it never breaks it’s kind of my general use bow but then in specific situations such as fighting the Ender Dragon it’s nice to have a bow with

Infinity on it cuz then I don’t have to plan on bringing a ton of arrows I just bring one and I have all the arrows I need to take out the crystals and to take on the dragon so I’m probably going to go for both of them but this first

Bow I think I’m going to put mending on it straight away it’s got power four it’s great we’ll we’ll just plan on building this into my general usow oh that looks good I look good with a bow I like that this is a good upgrade

For us this is a good Stu into the future but if we are going to take our whole setup and get it to the best it can possibly be I think we’re going to need more than 13 diamonds and I don’t really feel like mining for diamonds right now so instead

What we’re going to do is explore shipwrecks and buried treasure tend to have plenty of diamonds for you to enjoy so I think we’re going to head over to the Northeast and explore the end of our continent and the ocean I believe that it is entirely water between us and this

Bit of land I might be wrong I guess we’ll find out I also have a buried treasure map that I got at some point in the past that is off in that direction so we’ll at least be a able to find that and dig up some diamonds before we go

Off adventuring do you guys remember the bunny enclosure I’ve got this special place where I’ve been breeding lots of happy bunnies so wonderful so cute so fun on a completely different topic I have six rabbit hide which happens to be how much I need to make a bundle you guys

Remember way back in episode one when we were creating the world and I turned on the bundle experimental feature well here it is we have ourselves a bundle I’ve been meaning to make one of these and take it adventuring for a little while now bundles are really interesting

They can hold 64 items which means if you just put a stack of things in there it doesn’t take up any less inventory space but if you have multiple stackable items you can stack up to 64 different things in the bundle and so that can really help with if you have lots of

Random things in your inventory that only take up a slot and you only have like one or two of them I can use the bundle to help compact those down and that should hopefully keep us adventuring longer going to leave behind a few things that I don’t feel like I

Need so with everything that we need in hand let’s Go so it looks like I’m already on our treasure map not on it but near it so I think we’ll head straight for that buried treasure first see what we find along the way and just let that fill in whatever part of the map it fills in oo a ruin nether

Portal I’ll take a golden apple and some obsidian but don’t need any flight we are beginning to fill in the treasure map which means the treasure is probably on this peninsula here all right looks like this treasure going to be underwater somewhere around here I bet it’s under this random piece of sand

That doesn’t have anything else around it called it nice no diamonds but plenty of other goodies I’m not going to worry about the cooked fish but I am going to worry about filling in this buried treasure map all the way so that buried treasure map did not lead us to any diamonds

Unfortunately so let’s head back into the ocean keep filling in this map and see what we can find we’ve got another ruined nether portal I don’t know if these can even have diamonds but I’ll still check them out ooh golden apples that’s great all right we’ve succeeded at filling in a

Good chunk of the ocean I’m beginning to think that the land is all connected that it there is not a Waterway and I’m also thinking just based on what I know of myself and how I explored this map in the past I’m guessing that in the Southeast corner of this map sorry

Southwest uh I probably passed a lot of ships that I just ignored cuz my inventory was already full when I was passing through that area so I’m guessing if I go back towards that area of the map I should be able to find sunken ships and hopefully buried

Treasure that I haven’t found yet and hopefully get some diamonds so let’s make our way down there well this isn’t in the ocean exactly but it is a shipwreck here we go a mostly intact but upside down ship very treasure map perfect I’ll take some Gunpowder and suspicious stew is always

Fun let’s see what it does oh ah that’s probably the least fun suspicious stair this buried treasure is quite far away but buried treasure gives us the chance for diamonds so we’re going for it all right guys here we are second Buried Treasure of the day will we find Diamonds aha diamonds yes two more diamonds not a lot I’m beginning to think that maybe this isn’t the best method to hunt for diamonds but it sure is fun so let’s keep going so I’m back on a part of the map that I explored quite a while ago found this Sunken City

And there was another buried treasure map oo and it’s not too far from here also my inventory is getting a little clogged but if I take my bundle I can scoop up some of the things that I only have a few of and it’s great I also didn’t know that old buried

Treasure maps only take up one slot in the bundle that’s really nice oh looks like this one is deep under the water darn no more diamonds well guys I think it’s time to head back to the base we succeeded at getting two diamonds and if you think about it that’s pretty much

More diamonds than I know what to do with so I think this was a successful adventure and even if I didn’t get as many diamonds as I hoped to that’s just the way Minecraft goes sometimes you set out to do something sometimes you don’t get the exact result you were hoping for

But it’s still fun but unless I run into something interes resting on the way home I will meet you guys back at the base I think this counts as something interesting I decided to fill in just a little bit more of the map on my way home and we found another one another

Outpost we know that the pillagers are planning to attack The Village at some point in the future maybe if we raid this Outpost that’ll push back their plans somewhat this will also be a great chance for me to try out my new book guys I got inside and I don’t think

Any of the pillagers even saw me oh you know what this is the same Outpost I already raided I am such a silly person oh well oh that’s a good bow can two shot pillagers well guys that was a very successful raid of the already raided Outpost there we go guys pretty good

Adventure we filled in quite a lot of the map only a little bit left to do on that map which is exciting in the end I’d say these are the best Treasures we got five golden apples is pretty good three hearts of the sea some potions

Diamonds and I think going to take these prismarine crystals we’re going to create a new box which will be the kind of ocean goodies box prismarine and that’s also where I’ll store my my hearts of the sea and Nautilus shells so I think that’s going to be all for me
