Insane Blood Altar Mod in Minecraft 1.7.10

Welcome ladies and gentlemen I am L and we are back with episode 17 of our modded Minecraft let’s play series and in this episode hopefully not hopefully we’re definitely going to be working on uh building up our blood alar from tier one well probably from tier one to tier

Two but we’re going to build up the fully-fledged tier six blood alar uh this episode again just so we have it built because each each tier of the blood alar requires that you upgrade it or build it up another level so let’s hop on over there um now I went ahead

And leveled out this uh like little natural hill thing that was here it was cool looked kind of cool it was you know nice but I needed somewhere to build a platform to work and this was pretty much as close as I could get with these uh travel anchors because I haven’t I

Haven’t adjusted the configs yet um I’ll probably do that after I record this episode maybe depends on how much I need to do uh but anyway uh this episode is mainly going to be focused around building up this Blood alter from its tiny little tier one state um oh man where’s my blood

Orb it’s probably back at the base somewhere um anyway building up this uh tiny tier one alter did I put it in here yeah it’s probably back at the base which is maxed out by the way um or our our LP network is maxed out at 5K uh

Because we only have the uh the lowest tier blood orb we’re maxed out at the little baby 5K mode I’ve been stabbing myself a little bit off camera to help build it up um I’m not sure where I put my blood orb though hope it’s back at

The base hope I didn’t lose it I don’t want to have to use another Diamond that would suck but anyway let’s get started um now a tier six blood alter is pretty big and while we’re not immediately going to be able to jump to using a tier

Six blood alter not for a while actually not for a long while um it’s a really good idea to build it up just so it’s like ready to go when you get to that point so let’s do it um I think I want to do

This 8 n 10 11 12 Actually I don’t even need to count uh because I actually went ahead and and shaved this off so it’s now 23 by 23 uh as it’s supposed to be this big huge platform so the center block represent what will eventually be runes

The blood runes that you use to upgrade your blood alar as it grows larger and larger and you need it to be higher and higher tier for the more advanced crafting recipes and all the other fun stuff that you can do with blood magic This Witch has been here

Forever um and then you know this is kind of going to be the setup for now and moving forward I’m going to kind of you know mess around a little bit build it up all nice make it a little bit different so here we are with the first

This is the first row we have to make now eventually this part of it is the uh the tier six portion of the altar if you will and uh something that we should keep in mind as we’re moving forward building with building this altar is that everything that I place with the

Creeper face um isn’t necessary for the construction of the altar I’m putting it here uh to fill in the gaps between the two between the Rings uh because these guys right here the Cobblestone with the dent um the ring that goes all the way around will eventually need to be made

Out of blood runes um cuz those are what you know upgrade the altars the blood runes that will eventually place all around here and we’ll see that moving forward with the episode and actually something that I wanted to do real quick um is am I still in the center

Yeah uh because there are six tiers that means that this fella come here one two three four five and of course tier one being the blood alter by itself eventually will reach all the way up to here we’ll be this high once this ring is finished so yeah

We’re going to have five rings of um of this Cobblestone with Dent eventually blood runes going all the way around up to this guy all the way up there so let’s get to it I didn’t do this one on uh on camera because it’s kind of big it

Takes a little while so remember going forward anything that has this uh this Creeper face on it uh you don’t need for the construction of the uh of the full alter itself I’m just you know adding it cuz it looks nice this stuff however will be runes and will eventually need

To be changed to runes if we are to upgrade so let’s get going with the second piece and there’s always middle click over stuff and it will switch to whatever you’re looking at it’s probably like the most useful thing ever I love it too many people don’t use that

We’re going to have to go to sleep um we’ll do this last ring and then we’ll go take a quick sleep oh it is also a good idea to go ahead and like light it up in here as you’re going around because eventually it’s going to encaps encapsulate this

Entire area so don’t want monsters SP got to love got to love the soldier under sash man makes a jump normally it would be stuck down here we can just hop right up all right so we finished that earing let’s go take a sleep quick sleep something I actually uh forgot to

Mention was we need to put stuff right here one 2 3 4 four five six seven and then something will go right here oh man we’re so high ah Splash and again this can be anything any type of uh block can be the pillar that leads up however the block at the

Top the nether brick that’s all the way up there at the top come on now we’ll uh we’ll need to be something in particular once we get to uh upgrading this to a full-fledged tier six right now again it’s just kind of like a mock tier six

What was that three four five six 7 then boom ow ouch one two three four five six seven ouch it’s too bad the soldier her sash doesn’t help with fall damage guess I’m I’m pretty sure it doesn’t doesn’t really seem like it does ah oh yeah and by the way I

Couldn’t find my weak blood orb which kind of of sucks but it’s okay if it turns up that’s fine because uh going forward eventually it’s good to have multiple blood orbs you’re not just going to use just the one forever and for everything um it doesn’t get used up

In crafting recipes or anything but it it is something that you will probably have a couple of just to make things a little bit easier so you’re not running around putting the same thing in a whole bunch of different stuff oh whoops jumped ahead of myself um the these last two tiers tier

Five and tier six if you haven’t gathered we going backwards um we’ll also need this this two space Gap in between it and the next spot um I don’t know why I’m doing it this way normally I go like this it’s much easier so I had all these fancy ideas to

Record building this thing and they like every single one of them fell through I was so sad uh one was because the you know mod that I was going to use wasn’t in development or it wasn’t in public Dev development anymore um and then I was going to try and use another Minecraft

Account like you know I went picked up another Minecraft account and I was going to use it but I don’t have another computer that I can use to record so I was just like oh I guess I’ll just like build it manually but I was trying to do

It all fancy um because I’m a digital media production student and I’m trying to broaden my horizons and practice and make some cool stuff uh but oh well it’s all good I’m sure lots of people would like to see this done manually anyway so no complaints um now for this fifth tier we

Don’t actually build Crazy Towers uh the device that we will place in these Corners just sits right there nice and easy hell yeah all right and this is the same pattern uh oh did I run out nope nice sweet uh so hopefully depending on how much how long this is actually

Taking I’m not super sure whoops um we’ve got some other things that we can do today that’s going to actually help us with our blood magic related uh things uh but again it’s really important that we get this Blood alter built up so we can actually really start

Progressing with blood magic because at the moment with just the tier one alter we really can’t do anything like outside of what we did we’re pretty much limited to going from tier one to tier two tier one is just kind of a stepping stone to tier two tier two there’s a couple things

That we can start doing which is pretty cool uh so like I said right here we only need just the one row wow isn’t this coming along super nice yes yes yes it is um let me double check make sure oh yeah it’s four S I

Would have been wrong um our next little little tower that we have to build here three wh I can’t jump up three needs to be four blocks high not three like I was about to say with something on top I’m not going to say what yet because we can’t make it

Or anything and there’s no use in even bringing it up um ow a come on come on four maybe we won’t take damage nice um let’s go ahead and toss that in there cuz I need to make it into a thing anyway uh now we do one more right yes

Wait did I mess up oh no no no I’m good I’m good I got a little scared there for a second I was like no I don’t want to have to tear this down and re-record this episode but no no we’re good we’re good whoops whoops and then more what will eventually be

Blood runes o I almost messed up this one doesn’t have the uh large Corners just just the single just the single so anyway um what’s cool about the uh blood alter tiers is they kind of progress the way that you would imagine that you would progress through modded

Minecraft you know things get more and more difficult more and more resource intensive as you progress through the different tiers of course this last tier being tier six this one being tier five this being tier four this being tier three um we’re about to put down tier

Two um let me take a look here and see if there’s anything special I need okay so anyway as we were uh these guys are only too high oh forgot to put the cap W almost fell almost fell down the hole which would have been kind of a

Pain to get out of actually I’m kind of surprised I haven’t fallen into it yet um okay so too high with that on top good good that around there then ah we need more Creeper face blocks do I think I have more actually I don’t

Think I have more but I do know I have more this which I can turn into Creeper face blocks nice Cobblestone with creeper panel fancy see this is why I thought I screwed up I kind of forgot that I needed to add you know this bottom part

So this right here uh is just going to of go here so it’s easier for me than actually I guess I don’t need to put this here actually just kidding just kidding uh and then this is The Final Countdown no uh this is the final final tier this right here

Is a tier on its own so if we go ahead and retake a look we have this tier six because remember the Cobblestone with Dent will eventually be blood ruins which are required to upgrade the big whole alter uh so this was tier six this one is is tier seven tier seven tier

Five this one is tier four this is tier three of course it goes all the way around this one is tier two and then the blood Al alter itself is of course tier one which we can take a look right now see tier one with no Essence inside oh it’s empty um stab

Ourselves a little bit cuz I need to make I need to make a blue a new weak Rune so yeah look at this this is a fully fledged blood magic blood altar sweet it looks really cool I really like it um now again as I’ve mentioned many many

Times before a lot of these blocks will eventually change into blood runes including these Nether Bricks and stuff and we’re also going to do a few more augments to this to uh change it up to what we need to do this is going to take a hot minute uh

So let me go ahead and make make another weak blood orb and I will be right back so I ran over to the base real quick and uh I grabbed us some why are you stuck open what is this 147 come on close wow look it’s like Equivalent

Exchange too the chest stuck open a the memories Nostalgia uh W you’re in the way I didn’t think about that when I was building this uh it’s all good though uh so I grabbed some Ladders because it’s kind of important that we are able to access this area down here and uh I

Tested this in my single player world beforehand and I made sure that this was the most optimal place to place the ladder uh but really it is uh so look we already got people down here or wait do we no no we don’t uh ladder ladder ladder ladder

Nice uh so one thing to keep in mind actually is um as just like we can stab ourselves oh yeah I didn’t finish making this by the way I just kind of started uh because I had stuff to do I wish this zombie would come up here I’m curious

Actually if I can kill him and have his life Essence put into here I’m not sure if you can use the sacrificial knife for that or not um there’s something else later on that we’re going to make that you can use for sure to kill monsters

Near this thing to get LP for uh I’m just curious if the dagger would work uh but because other item exists I kind of doubt it uh we got to get the XP though so rip oh yeah if you’re curious why my sword and bow look weird it’s

Because they both got Smite they both got Smite which I thought was kind of silly uh they upgraded totally different times but the bow got Smite and then my sword got Smite that’s why it has this weird like brownish thing around it it’s supposed to be like a glow uh but it

Does increase damage to Undead as you would think uh it’s pretty I mean I like it it just I think it makes my sword look kind of silly at least when I hold it in the uh on my action bar it’s not too bad are you done

Yet I can’t believe I lost my blood orb dude what kind of hemomancer am I uh so anyway um what’s cool as I was mentioning about the um the mobs and being able to kill them with another item um eventually we’re going to turn this Blood alter into a mob grinder

Machine hey it’s done uh we’re going to be able to kill mobs right right above this thing like right where I’m standing we’re going to have mobs standing we’re going to be slaying them and you’ll see that in the episodes to come the next few episodes are definitely going to be blood magic

Related um and as always right click your newly acquired blood magic stuff to bind it to yourself yeah you can also use this to sacrifice life to your blood network if you don’t want to use a sacrificial knife to sacrifice stuff into here uh so now we can actually check and see yeah

Still Max out at 5K cool cool cool no problem and what are you at you are at 784 why aren’t you like emptying you just like there’s just blood in there forever oh you know what we need to do need light this baby up actually while we’re doing this we

Need to put these stones in here um look at that look at the little particle effects uh whenever you put Stone in here we get wait actually I think I already covered this didn’t I yeah yeah we get the tablets blood magic not tablets the blank slates yeah oh he ran out of

Blood oh yeah lighting this up uh you know that that thousand life points takes a hot second so yeah um eventually it’ll be easier for us to acquire these especially when we’re you know slaying Mobs with our life Essence um but at the moment we have to stab ourselves which

Kind of sucks kind of sucks oh no we’re out of torches uh but yeah it’s important to light this thing up because you know if we’re standing around stabbing ourselves uh we you know we’re going to be low health and that’s bad you’re not done yet you’re at like 700 and something how

Are you not done dude you definitely have to be done like right now what am I being like am I being trolled by blood magic okay whatever uh I need more torches so I’m still stabbing myself waiting for this thing to to change I don’t understand why it’s taking so much

LP it’s only a thousand what wait right yeah a thousand come on what are you doing what are you doing uh because we actually need to make eight ritual Stone stes okay so we get four each and for that we need to make some reinforced slates whoa oh wait actually let me let

Me check can we can we use a weak blood orb yeah okay we can nice yeah we need eight of these babies because we wanted to upgrade this thing to tier two tier one you really can’t do much with it other than make blank slates and Infuse slates

Um a crap I should have grabbed more potatoes uh but yeah back to lighting this thing up so I’ve pretty much sat here and uh stabbed myself over and over and over and over again until we now have a maxed out tier one alter at 10,000 LP and uh

I’m going to toss this Rune in here or stone oh right click of stone in there and see how it goes you can put the whole stack in there but it like makes no difference speed wise so this should be done now there we go so let’s pop you out so we

Need actually I was mistaken we don’t need the ritual Stone my my bad my bad uh we need the blood runes blood runes are a lot cheaper and you can use any weak weak blood orb works fine and these blood runes are going to get us started

Uh bunch of stone and two blank slates and we need eight like I said uh so we need 16 blank slates in total so basically I need to stab myself a whole bunch of times more we not quite maxed all right well let’s get another one of these guys in

Here let’s get him going all right well I’m going to make more of these guys off camera because it’s gonna it’s going to take a second like I said it’s going to take a hot minute um then I will come back and we will make ourselves some cool blood runes oh nice it’s

Done all right so I just finished up making the last of the blank slates hell yeah um and I went back and grab some more Stone just to make sure we had enough I don’t know why this is still stuck open this is not 147 so it was

That with the weak blood orb in the middle H oh man we don’t have enough oh just kidding good thing I wouldn’t grabb more Stone eight blood runes a yeah okay so now with these blood runes we’re going to go ahead and break these guys up because they are the Cobblestone

With Dent as I said they would not be here forever just placeholders for these these bad boys these blood runes now this should be a tier two bam look at that tier two still has a capacity of 10K LP but this opens us up to some cool new things including making ourselves

The next tier blood orb oh yeah um I believe this one The Apprentice blood orb requires 5,000 LP holy cow it’s way more than I thought it was I thought it was 3K actually I thought I was like being perfect uh but nope not even

Close so let me go ahead and dump a little bit more actually no we should have almost have this get some potatoes at the ready just in case look at that the sun’s going down as as as we create this monstrosity this Abomination okay so I remember that I

Actually have a whole bunch of regeneration I guess I only have one wow I thought I had more well just kidding I have one potion of regeneration that I think might help us with this uh now one thing to mention is when you have regeneration to I think it gives you

Regeneration to or more um there is a significantly increased rate at which you lose hunger so keep that in mind when using regeneration two Buffs and things similar to it well generation two and stronger I think is what it says on the wiki this doesn’t say regeneration to it

Only says regeneration so I’m not sure if this counts still working I can’t believe this is taking so long it’s done see it just needed us to look away we went and kill that zombie came back boom done so now finally after what seemed like forever obviously I did a a

Little bit of cuts here and there just because it was taking so long I must not have had nearly as much LP in the blood alar as I thought I did but anyway we have our Apprentice blood orb hell yeah uh so anyway that is going to conclude
