Insane Christmas fun in the Basement – Peter’s Minecraft!

Oo Baby It’s Cold Outside welcome to basement let’s play I’m Peter we’re going to play a little christmy Minecraft world for a few weeks uh December uh we’ll play four episodes before Christmas and then in one episode after as kind of a happy New Year episode and uh cozy up with me it’s

Going to be a real good time I’m trying out a cam while recording the game and sort of a experiment and we’ll see how that goes I’ve picked out a world I’ve got a holiday resource pack in place and a ugly Christmas sweater skin on which should be a lot of

Fun all right here we are in our Winter Wonderland as you can see the trees are covered in uh all sorts of wonderful christmy stuff we’re here at 00 we’re wearing our ugly sweater and we’re ready to uh survive in the cold now we do have

Uh a body of water nearby but it is frozen given that it is December and uh well for me Minnesota but uh 0 Z is as good a place to start as any and that’s what we’re going to do so um we’re going to dig in here when we can excuse Me but first we have to punch some trees oh and I see a Cow look at this cow’s wearing a Christmas hat look at his eyes Okay um we don’t want to punch that cow of death excuse me that’s just a terrible way to go so instead of that we’re going to um make a stone axe or sword before we go after

Him and that should work nicely this is going to be a cozy uh slow paced World um I’m not going to try to get a whole lot done as far as like structures and stuff oh look at this Spruce sapling it’s got little things on it that’s nice um but We are going to uh get better tools oops and um build ourselves a home oh look at this crafting table that is so cute okay the first thing we want to do is make uh some sticks and then make ourselves a wooden pickaxe I got seven logs

Right and they’re just not in my inventory anymore I have a snowball oh I have five crafting tables well that’s annoying uh okay how did I do that okay let’s turn this into these I’ve tried the craft all thing recently and I haven’t been able to get

It work uh get it to work okay there’s our wooden pickaxe I’m better at Minecraft Than This I Promise uh okay let’s get some Stone and where we’re going to get the stone actually is at um 0 of Course so here’s two here’s one here’s zero right Here we break the snow we’re going to go down a bit and of course we’re going to have to dig out to the Sea yeah this is going to be our hidey-hole for night one even though it’s the Christmas season there’s still dangerous things about and so we need to be

Careful okay so here’s our Stone um do we want to dig down already or do we want to keep digging straight and hope that we find Stone Straight Ahead there’s a little let’s go down one at this point we’ll get these three stone then we can make a stone pickaxe

Since we have so many crafting tables we’ll just uh plop one there and make our stone pickaxe we have enough sticks for that we do and then we’ll use this to get more Stone uh so that we can um get all the stone tools that we need okay so right here where it

Turns to Stone on either side that’s where we’re going to widen this little f first cozy Nook that we’re going to use as our uh base of operations here and I think that this will be very nice let’s go ahead and make it five wide and we actually get some dirt on

That side which is cool my night one hidey holes are always so cramped oh look there’s copper we don’t care that much about copper yet we just want to make this big enough that we can um have a little room on our first night but we’re also going to need a torch so

I think what we should probably do is uh make a furnace good and then um we have one stick but we can make more sticks let’s make more sticks then let’s make an axxe and we’ll use the stone axe to cut down a few extra trees Uh but let’s put the um see our torches are going to go there so one side should be our working side and the other side should be our sleeping side I think we should sleep on the stone side here so let’s put the crafting table here and uh the furnace here one nice

Thing about making too many crafting tables is you don’t have to constantly be breaking them down in the beginning of the game so I guess that’s not the worst thing in the World uh and the sun has passed midday already it seems and we don’t have any food yet so I’d better get a move on I’m doing too much yaken okay we do have some wood though which is very good we’re going to put some in

Here uh okay so the first thing we want to do is we want to make some planks and then the second second thing we want to do let’s see it takes three three of these right no two of these to make uh three of These I do believe but let’s put four of those in there just in case it takes more it’s just wood Okay so we’ve got a little bit of stone we’ve got a little bit of wood this cute little Christmas wolf just woke up uh we could go for a little bit of

Food um so where’s that cow we saw earlier let’s grab this plank since we can we’ll leave that there as a testament to the first crafting table we place down uh what I like about this seed is there’s some sand nearby which is cool and there’s some ice spikes which are

Cold and make our warm shelter feel even Cozier but where are the cows let’s get a little more wood while we can wood is not something we can get at night very easily um but I would really like some cows there’s a rabbit a cute little Christmas rabbit okay

Cows we’re going to need some wheat at some point too so what I’m going to do is I’m going to punch some grass so we can get some seeds so we could make a little underground um Garden if we need to I’m not sure why I’m punching grass

That’s underneath trees I should be punching it out here and maybe we can get some bones if we fight a skeleton some sometimes these wolves are a good thing to keep an eye on cuz they’ll Chase sheep so you can follow them to find sheep although once they’re close enough

To get or is that a fox I think that’s a fox that’s why it was curled up and sleeping cows that sun is definitely setting oo it’s cold out here I guess we better get inside we we don’t have any food but I don’t think we can have any

Food B it’s cold okay this is our charcoal this is what our charcoal looks like I guess uh so we have three of those and three of these let’s make um eight little candy cane torches there we go one two uh three and this needs to look like this actually quickly Now

Quickly don’t have a lot of time oo I hear a zombie oh I see a zombie get out your metal axe it’s a Christmas zombie and we can eat this flesh to restore our hunger it’s also going to make us weak but I think we can survive

That let’s get a few of these going and then make um a Frozen little Christmas Spruce door and at least with these torches we have a little bit of warmth in here we can’t sleep ha and there’s snow inside of our house we’re going to have to do something about that um

Let’s make one stair oh we can’t okay now let’s make a stair you hear the Enderman okay it is definitely night timeo it’s nice and warm in here better take off uh some of my cold weather gear okay we’re going to set the stair uh here yes and then we’re going to Um make more planks why can’t we make planks when we have logs oh because we’re not we want to be on all and we only want stuff that’s craftable okay planks slabs okay uh we’re going to put some slabs here and this may require Us to get rid of our door temporarily oh you see those zombos it’s very scary and a Christmas Enderman I’m kind of tempted to attack the zombies but I’m not going to okay we’re cozy warm uh it’s a very meager bobc craty kind of meal but we’re going to eat this

Flesh and that will help restore energy as long as we hold still that’s key when you eat the rotten flesh you have to hold still because it wears off very fast um and if you run around it wears off so fast that it doesn’t actually have any time to

Heal um so we’re just going to take it easy we’re fully healed now our hunger is depleting again but there’s not a whole lot that we can do about that um and maybe if we don’t move but we just pivot we could make a spare stone pickaxe uh is that possible

Let’s get some of this out of the uh out of the way okay so here’s our work area we could sleep here and then go down here um I’m not sure which way we want to go down maybe we want to spiral down it feels like kind of a good idea

So we’re going to go down one here uh I’m not sure how far over we should go we probably don’t have to think too hard about it let me do some digging let me use up this wooden pickaxe and then maybe the stone pickaxe as well and we’ll see how far we Got aha coal right as I was near the end of my wooden pickaxe too uh so we can save that if we want to um but let’s pick up all this coal this is very it’s a very good Christmas gift for us we’re going to set that there what is this rock

Hopper now this coal is like a little Christmas present you can see the bow in the top left corner of this ore uh the person oh and look at the little stars on it that’s cute um this is a wonderful it’s funny CU usually coal is what

Naughty kids get in their stocking for Christmas right if they were not nice but they were naughty during the year um but we are very thankful for this coal here because it means heat uh it means cooking food as soon as we get some it means all sorts of wonderful things in fact

I think that we should make a Trapo that allows us to have a chimney and make a campfire how do we make a campfire we need a couple extra sticks let’s make those and then we can make a campfire and we’re going to put the campfire Here um but let’s also make a trap door a spruce trap door does that make sense though Spruce trap doors aren’t very seethrough maybe we should make a fence Instead a fence post cuz nothing will be able to come down through the fence post okay Okay we can see the snow out there very cold look we have andesite for making a chimney but instead we’re going to use Cobblestone uh how are we going to get that one up there I guess like this that was some grade a placement not bad for joycon Controls okay then we put this Here and we get rid of our snow and we put our campfire here oh yeah yeah look at that oh so nice do we even need these anymore or does that provide all the light that we need I think it does and we get to take a couple of torches back

And look it’s a beautiful snowy day in Minecraft land a great day to try to find some cows or at least plant some wheat um does ice hydrate that’s a good question oh yeah here we have this if I if I uh change This I have an axe don’t I I’m going to have to make some more tools here and get organized get rid of this okay we’ll place a slab on the top and a torch there and we’ll see if this water keeps from Freezing I don’t know if it will or not but we need a hoe to get some grass so let’s place the other one of these right here right cuz this is lined up with us yeah this is nice and symmetrical and cozy okay we’ll see if this works or not

I don’t know if it will we need a hoe Though uh ho ho ho ho more sticks running low on wood here oh and I really could use a bed okay Stone ho check I wonder if the smoke is making it out of the Chimney boom boom boom okay and uh seeds wow we have four seeds those only coun on three I guess we’ll put the fourth one right there give it some extra light and heat nice little Triforce of crops there okay I see zombies a zombie and some spiders I really could use some

Food this will be our food if nothing else but I’m a little concerned that it’s just oh hello Mr zombie let me get I don’t even have a sword yet out of the water a sheep oh that’s going to be some food and some wool I should be killing the spiders too

Hello Mr sheep I’m sorry I really need some food though and the ability to sleep got new recipes unlocked which is great we got zombies which is not great great lots of zombies all right come on zombos why is there water by that uh spruce tree okay where’s sheep number two I saw

Him earlier there he is he’s over by a zombie though and I just broke my axe of course I did and I accidentally punched the Sheep which now means he’s running away while I’m trying to kill the zombie what’s the attack power of a hoe I did just get some armor

Though oh it’s not bad okay oh that’s a creeper we need one more sheep oh look here’s our chimney oh the smoke cannot not Escape that’s okay it goes up high enough that it’s not billowing into our home sheep please sheep I can’t even tell what time of day it is when

The when it’s this cloudy out I see a cow I think I see a sheep oh I wish I had what what was that just got attacked by something oh there’s a skeleton and a spider fighting over there okay sorry I I I would love to preserve the cows for

The sake of a farm but I just need to survive right now this is this got too Close nope not today not today okay we can cook the meat here by the fire look we got a golden helmet is he going to die and give us bones Oh another Sheep multiple sheep okay you know what Uh I’m not worried about extra sheep at this point we have enough wool to make a bed which we’re going to take advantage of but the very first thing we need to do is we need to put some of this meat on the Fire M how Christmasy is that okay then we

Need to make a bed which she going to require extra planks oh my gosh look it’s a Christmas bed uh it’s white for now but you know we’re going to die it um here so our feet stay warm oh we got all of our cooked meat okay let’s put this on

There uh as well as some mutton let’s start eating this though oh so grateful for a Christmas meal our health was getting pretty low there um where’s our bed okay now we need we need to make a chest okay we’re going to put this here here

Yeah our feet aren’t too far from the fire our head is here does that make sense is that the right place to put that I’m not totally sure okay let’s get a little organized uh Coal’s up here charcoal is here I suppose the charcoal could go in

Here in case we want to cook something uh sticks are going to go here let’s take these planks out let’s make a Chest uh which is going to look like a Christmas chest we’ll put that there then we can get rid of some stuff we don’t need leather extra doors rotten flesh uh I think we can get rid of just about all of this we have some Spruce saplings which are nice oh we have

Another golden helmet okay food’s going here some wood here we’re out of lot logs we don’t need this here okay we got our food so let’s put um we’ll keep the mutton we’ll put the beef in here am I still wearing a helmet I am and it’s unenchanted so let’s combine

These don’t need Anvil to combine unenchanted things uh and I think you don’t need them for Enchanted things either you just won’t keep the enchantments okay so how many sticks can we make 10 so let’s we’re out of an axe let’s do a sword uh here’s our original

Pickaxe so we’re going to need a spare we’re going to want a shovel and we’re going to want an Axe and we have a ho and we have a couple of sticks left so let’s use two of them to make more torches and we’ll leave one

There so if we pick up any sticks we know exactly where they will go which is the right spot and now finally I’m starting to feel organized and ready for fun what time is it the Sun is setting but look I have a sword and he might drop an iron

Ingot and I have food so I’m not worried about taking damage wow another helmet what is this helmet drop simulator 2023 I don’t know there’s more sheep but at this point we want to I think we only want to kill pigs sheep and cows we want

To try to gather with the wheat that will come eventually um it’s going to be to know when these are mature so we’ll just leave them for now I kind of want one more Seed it’s getting dark we need to spread some light around some light around our home um should we put a torch on our chimney that’s a skeleton could really use some bones there’s another skeleton dare I or should I just sleep here’s skilly Skilly got some bones oh did I look at that Enderman I hope not okay in we go time to sleep the creepers won’t despawn but look it’s our first sleep in our cozy Minecraft Christmas World where’s my cup of coffee I don’t know but I’m going to combine

This helmet with the one that I’m wearing to get a full durability golden helmet gosh I could go into the Christmas nether now and not even be afraid of the guys that attack you if you’re not wearing Gold okay A little bit of extra flesh not the worst thing in the world scanning for creepers okay let’s use our oh we got to put this on let’s use our bones to make bone meal and see what um fully grown crop looks like like that I can’t add any more to That okay now we have wheat for luring which is great and we should have gotten a couple of seeds from that as well which we Did oh hello should we see what a ender pearl looks like in the Christmas Pack okay he’s mad but he also seems to have teleported Beyond where I am and doesn’t know how to backtrack and find me okay um question do we leave the dirt roof as is or do we make it a little Cozier what we really need is some

Wood and a hearth okay we have this at the ready so I think it’s time to do some tree chopping um it’s also going to be a good idea to think about where we actually want to build a cozy little house hello Pig would you like to get in

My belly later yes you would oh there’s a couple more okay it’s hard to resist the lore of the food should probably dig some pens for sheep and cows instead of if we see any we can just grab them but it’s kind of ugly over here so I’m thinking this is a

Good spot to cut down a few extra trees I’m not sure how far we’re going to be able to get in five episodes but I am willing to give it some time and’s see how it goes still recording still recording so I’m going to gather up some

Wood and I’ll join you guys in a little bit when I’m ready to give you an update sound good okay all right going to use my shovel to gather a little bit of Sand um how much do we want we have five six we cook eight at a time but it takes six to make 16 so what does six and8 both go into 24 so if we cook 24 we’ll get four sets of six which is four quar stacks of paines

Which is a full stack of paines which is perfect um although we may use blocks for the First 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 yeah we may use six blocks oh a cow to be uh especially cozy in our hidey-hole I see a cow I also see a sheep but we’re going to take this cow home we’re going to go not too

Fast so we don’t lose them cuz cows are dumb and slow but we love them anyway it’s the Christmas spirit plus the snow is a little takes a little bit of navigation there’s MO more and more snow falling as time goes by here um you still with me cow yes you

Are okay here we go so where are we going to put this cow there’s our home oh I see a sheep over here too it’s got to be somewhere warmish right I mean I guess we’ll start with this for now I’m digging with the wheat so that the cow pays attention so we’re digging a 3X3 hole with a one elevation raise in the middle so that we can jump out but the cow cannot and listen cow I would love to feed you this wheat um but in instead I’m going to ask you

To just stay warm down there for a minute oh I see a baby cow that we do he’ll grow up although I think I see an adult cow over here yes I do not sure what happened to that tree I’ll have to take care of that

Later okay come on cows we have a little cow family and I’m going to feel bad cuz I’m going to feed the two adults and not the child whoa did you just jump out that’s a problem excuse me baby cow um yeah that’s a problem okay here we have

3×3 so I need a better way to get out I’m really surprised that he was able to do that is it because I was holding wheat 3×4 so if I dig this way it’ll be 4×4 no no no no no no no no excuse me no

The answer is no don’t be a naughty cow oh sorry see you you mess and you get hit with a shovel you understand okay so this is now 4X five and with this row it’ll be 5x five I really should be digging the bottom block first okay and maybe oh

This is a nice little ledge down maybe if we put a couple of torches here you guys will feel warm you know what let’s give you a little more room There now you got a cozy place to hide at Night Under The Roof we’ll make that a little better a little later but for now I need to see if I can get out from Here I can okay Cows you stay down there for a while I’m not sure that I’m going to need to breed sheep oh look the Sun is setting again but I am feeling Merry and I will tell you why it’s because we have cows in a pen and we have our cozy little

Fireplace we’ve got a furnace and a crafting bench and a chest and some food and more food coming and 44 logs which is pretty good and to put that there uh we’re going to empty out some nonsense uh that we don’t need taking up our inventory space like snowballs Etc

Oh let’s put the sand in here um okay one charcoal will cook the first eight of those and the next two regular coal will cook through 16 and 24 and we can use six of these to make solid glass block windows somewhere I think what we want to do

Right now though is go to sleep unfortunately your furnace won’t cook while you’re sleeping in your bed fortunately your food on the fireplace won’t burn while you’re sleep sleeping in bed you skip the night but time doesn’t actually Pass so your crops won’t grow Etc just waiting for this to cook how nice how nice is this guys just waiting for oh look our food is ready yoink grabbed it up ow ow ow ow ow okay okay let’s not try that anymore we’ll put those two on there um let’s put the cooked mutton

Away and we’ll keep the pork chop at the ready okay so I think it’s time to mine right let’s talk about what we’ve accomplished and what we would like to accomplish I’d like to use some of that glass so I can tell what time of day it is uh

Without um having to open the door so I could I guess we could put a glass block here and that would tell Us do we put it here and do we put more Stone here we have the stone I think we probably do one two three excuse me snow it’s really snowing out it’s a snowy wintry christmy Wonderland here and I am here for it I love it I love the Christmas season um and

Whether you celebrate Christmas or not do you love the season do you love the uh marryt and the decorations and the this and that uh I did put the glass all the way up there instead of closer well I like the glass in this texture pack I wish

They would do that in regular Minecraft look how cozy that furnace is right now too we could put out this fire oh let’s gather up that cooked food if we wanted To how cool would that be okay we want six of these I guess five now to be set aside and we want to turn the rest into pains so while that’s cooking let’s discuss what we’ve accomplished here we got a little humble Garden going so we can make wheat so we can breed

These guys and lure them um we don’t have any sheep yet but that’s okay we’ve gotten food we we’ve got a little campfire we’ve got a furnace uh we’ve got a little hidey-hole and um we’re really carving out a cozy little existence for ourselves now we’ve

Got the start of a mine I think we need to go further with that hello cow goodbye Cow uh and I think that that is a good Next Step um and once we get a little better outfitted tools and weapons and armor and all that then we can explore around a little bit uh see if we can’t capture some sheep some sheep so we get better uh situated as far

As um extra beds go oh 48 window panes how great is that okay we want Cobblestone and wood put the extra meat away we have a little bit of dirt let’s put half of this up here and I’m not sure that does us any good right now now we got some

Food we’re going to need more sticks but we can make them when we’re down there let’s take a crafting table with us our shovel is running low but that’s okay uh we’re going to make some Stone stairs for ourselves but I want to dig down I want

To mine down and see if I can find some more coal see if I can find some iron see if I can find some good stuff that’s going to help us out uh and so that that is the goal at this point um I’ll cut back in when something interesting Happens oh something interesting happened we have found some sort of cave here some sort of drop oh I wish I had the iron to make a bucket it looks as though maybe we could get a little further down if we’re careful um we’re just going to reduce this drop as

Much as we can and now I see a zombie I see creeper but a cave is great because it will allow us to accelerate oh Flint our uh progress we have gravel now too which is new there’s a lot of mobs down here that’s not the way to go that’s not the

Way to go maybe this is the way to go um let’s put a cobblestone here and try going this Way cuz it seems as though this way might be a little more forgiving as far as drops and all that not that way this will do though yeah we can see we’ve got we got our work cut out for us here is it going to be this

Way it seems as though this may do Okay let’s see how much death we can invoke here without actually putting ourselves in danger then the goal is going to be to spread some light and try not to take any damage and if our hunger gets low at all to eat some more there’s a bat we don’t need to worry

About the bat there’s a creeper we do need to worry about the creeper and the Skeletons this Creeper Okay hunger’s getting lower and now they have a path up here okay come on Skeleton just zombie that’s fine that zombie has a bone it’s another zombie it’s okay stay calm they’re just zombies okay uh let’s spread a little light here Wh okay okay we’re doing okay man he’s dumb can’t even pathfind we going to get rid of that torch and place it here okay and we’re going to pick up what we can what dropped is there any floatables dropping around boy more mobs but more coal which is good let’s try

This way as well we’re going to need to be able to find that do I have a creeper sneaking up behind me I don’t I’m very low on torches so it’s time to make some more I’m low on sticks as well it’s a dangerous place to be doing

This but we’re going to have a lot of torches after this which I’m very excited about Okay and hopefully this cave dead ends and it looks like it kind of does actually which is fine by me we have ourselves a cozy little base of operations here at y equals 27 what’s that that’s the light up stuff that sticks to the sides of things um can

Anything spawn in here I doubt it but for the sake of coziness let’s light it up anyway okay we need that so that we know the way out easily in case we get turned around in all of our wanderings did stuff despawn because I feel like there

Was more over here and now suddenly there’s nothing and we’ve dead ended so I see some coal no iron I’m sorry uh copper no iron but also this coal which is good news for us we need coal we need coal to smelt iron we need coal to cook

Um meat when we stop doing it on the campfire eventually uh we need coal to turn sand into glass and so I am grateful for all of This and isn’t that what the holiday season is about being grateful I would say yes oh there’s iron speaking of being grateful okay let’s let’s celebrate by eating a little bit of pork then let’s go get this iron I think we’ll pillar up right here we’ll leave the stack of stones

Here as an Ebenezer um commemorating God’s faithfulness to us whether Yahweh or the Minecraft Gods uh the fact that we found our first Iron here is a thing to be grateful for weird that’s just one all by itself it was kind of separated in a really diagonal

Manner okay we’re going to leave a light up here hi bat ow we going to gather up our iron what should we have Nine uh we have eight it’s four and four there’s Nine okay that is a very good thing and I’m tempted to go back up and uh see what’s our original way down here it’s right here and smelt some iron so we can have an iron pickaxe so we can dig faster and uh just in time too because I think

We’re going to start hitting deep slates soon uh where the world really gets deep and dark and scary and that will be great to have iron for okay and then there’s no need to come into here again so we could reclaim the Torches but I’m thinking that’s kind of just not necessary

We’ll just sort of close the way off like this all right uh almost down to our last bit of stone pickaxe here we could make another one it’s probably not a bad idea and then use it up almost and then combine it with this One or do we just use it Up I don’t know here’s where our crafting bench is going to go boom and then we’re going to make uh some planks some sticks and one more stone pickaxe oh look I already have two I should have combined these instead of making a new one oh well this is fine uh we’re getting

Hungry and we don’t need the rotten flesh on the hot bar Stone remains a good idea in case we need to block ourselves away from something all right that was exciting let’s keep mining more iron 1 2 3 four five ooh and more six six ooh here’s our first deep slate okay

Let’s uh switch back to our better stone pickaxe here y that takes a while to mine through it’s a cool Building Material though makes for a kind of a cozy Stone floor I bet okay I’ve combined pickaxes and here’s what I think I’m going to do I think I’m going to

Um dig these all to a height of five so we can put stairs in and not bump our head and then we’ll make our way back up to the top oh look lapis lazuli did I pick any up no not yet should we get our first lapis you can mine it with Stone Beautiful um but yeah we’ll go up and we’ll smelt our iron so we can make iron pickaxes we could make five of them and that should satisfy our mining needs for a while I would think uh we could also drop some stuff off up top maybe make another Chest so let me mine out these fives and uh I’ll make a ton of stairs and then I’ll put them in place and come back down and I’ll meet you back here at the bottom with some iron pickaxes and uh stairs in place like I

Said so the next time we go up it’s not such an ordeal right we’ve got our 15 iron and one thing I want to do is definitely make a bucket um shears I’ll wait on for now we’ll wait until we get uh is it day it is we’ll wait until we

Get a couple of sheep captured if I take water from here while this is frozen yeah it’ll refill just fine how are cows doing well they’re good we got four adults now how’s our wheat doing it’s on its way kind of a harsh climate Okay this is going to help us

Potentially in the future we’ll put these here let’s make some uh iron pickaxes why don’t we start with two uh and we can make an iron sword and an iron axe later if we need to uh but we’ll keep the spare iron in here for now just in case something goes

Wrong and uh we find ourselves needing it all right here we are back at the bottom um we can only dig 15 more blocks until we are going to run out of stair blocks so keep that in mind uh 1 2 3 4 so it’s back to mining I’ll use up this stone pickaxe uh and then I’ll switch to iron and if anything uh interesting happens I will be sure to cut back in until you about it we can experience it together all righty here we go oh we found some deep slate iron uh

Like instantly I didn’t even have to cut away for that um do you see it that’s a new new texture for us here in this texture pack let’s set this up here so now we can uh We’ve basically earned back our iron that we put into the oh oh all

Right there’s a little bit of an opening here let’s set a torch down we’ll stay on Guard see what we find down here switch into the sword putting our heads on swivels okay we’re going to spread a little light around a little bit of Christmas cheer if you Will yeah I hear Something this may be a dead end what’s this tough okay dead end which is fine yeah definitely tough okay there might be something good behind the tough sometimes you can find an iron vein I don’t care about the copper we definitely care about the iron but this looks like got all kinds of

Potential okay where’s our way out let’s make sure we can remember that I think it’s Here it’s by the water there I see a creeper oh I see all sorts of guys down here and I see some redstone okay that Arrow got close and that one hit oh and I see some lava okay all right it’s a little bit of exploration time here in the

Basement we’re going to have to make sure we’re Careful more water more flow no ore that might be fine to just leave as a dead end by spreading the light around you discourage future spawns which is good this lava is doing that job for us this way plus we could get a bucket of lava and then turn that into some fun

Okay let’s um see we do have a little tough here yeah okay so we’re coming down this way right that’s the way we’re going to continue but we do want to check out these mobs and see where that cave goes and see if it’s worth looking at um the

Stone sword is getting low it’s going to break on us at some point did all these guys just despawn is it some gold we have full health right now but getting away through this water flow is going to be a very challenging ordeal if we find ourselves in a

Situation where we want to do that so I’m trying to think do we want to like shut this off for now The answer is maybe one thing that I think would be smart is to place that there oh look now we can see past okay there’s definitely iron so we want to go this way yeah there’s a creeper though so let’s um go ahead and Uh stop this from uh being a problem for us oh come on when’s that water going to stop flowing now it will all right Skelly we got a date with death and so might I if I’m not careful that creeper has Christmas lights on him Oh new recipes you got gunpowder right right right okay uh this is getting riskier and riskier although we sure are exposing a lot of blocks right now which is great that’s just tough um did I just hear a Witch that is just just the Christmasy and most christmy spider that ever could exist oh gosh this goes this way I see more iron though don’t you yeah and I hear a witch oh that’s going to be big trouble we’re already actually a little low on

Food I saw some coal this deep slate is confusing to look at a little bit okay what’s this way top side of that iron and here’s a nice dead end okay good let’s eat a little slowly work our way out Gathering up any iron that we can

See and hopefully this is going to turn into a set of armor for us which is really going to make things easier as far as uh risking being around dangerous mobs and such very grateful for all this iron gratitude it’s the name of the season it’s the name of the

There we’ll have a creeper and a witch I wish the creeper weren’t there sometimes if you hurt the witch she’ll pull out a potion of healing and then you kill her and she drops it okay here comes the creeper Good okay he blew up that’s fine witch did not like that there she is how she poisoned me die okay she poisoned me and that’s okay we just need to get somewhere safe the poison won’t kill you I heard another witch though which is terrifying just need to let it run its

Course then we’ll eat then we’ll be fine I know it’s Scary okay now we’re full now we Heal um we need a sword look here’s a bunch more Iron this is where the bottom of the water was before yep there’s the water up there so we can get out this way oh we’re going to have so much iron we’re going to have a you know what maybe we come back for the diamonds

Maybe we take the iron that we have and we go up and we smelt it and we make some armor some new weapons and tools we leave the Redstone down here for now but we have this iron pickaxe just die am to get used redstone’s a good source of experience Too oh that iron pickaxe is so nice it just mines through things faster we need more torches anyway so let’s see if we can get out of here um is this tough tough that was placed by us yes here’s our way out okay uh so let’s get our stairs

We didn’t make it too far did we one Two 3 four five I mean Really uh stone pickaxe okay so we need an iron Sword and some iron armor Okay this is where we go find our Diamonds though all right so I’m going to go back to the top eat some food I’m going to smelt the iron and we’re going to gear up and then we can come back Down these cows are grateful for food and I am grateful for the miracle of life and all these little baby cows that are popping out right now cuz it’s going to mean more leather in the future for enchanting purposes uh more meat in the future for nourishment

Purposes and more seeds in the present for expanding our garden eventually I don’t know how or when we’re going to do that in this Frozen Winter Wonderland uh we’ll see and we’re still making iron but we’ve got an iron axe now an iron shovel and an iron sword and

More iron on the way which I’m very excited about uh so I’m going to wait for this iron to cook and then we’ll suit up and uh go get some diamonds and continue mining it’ be a great time okay chest plate helmet boots and Greaves these textures are very interesting to

Me they look almost seethrough uh but let’s put these on and see how it looks okay Pants uh shirt helmet and Boots we still look a little festive with our red polka dot sleeves sticking out from the armor and the armor itself actually looks like like gray pajamas almost so I don’t mind I must admit okay um the hose staying on the hot bar I

Guess the golden helmet can get put away as well as the seeds and just the next blocks we mine will go in the last spot in the hot bar let’s make some more torches although we are getting low on coal again mining deep is fun but you don’t

Find a lot of coal when you’re deep uh so let’s go back down and uh see about clearing out the rest of the cave that’s still dark oh see if we can um get it safe and spawn proof and then we’ll mine up those diamonds we also have gold here we can’t

Mine oh that’s a little deep can’t mine gold with stone so I guess we’ll switch to iron and gold is useful for trading in the Nether and also uh for wearing stuff in the nether so you don’t get attacked by those dudes that get all upset if you’re

Not yeah you have to be a gold fan and B you have to not M any of it in their presence which seems kind of weird to me okay this goes above or we wanted to drop down and get the jump on those creepers spread a little more light around

This uh is dangerous no this is Fine okay so now we’re getting into the dark again think I see some more iron I do we’re definitely going to grab that um let’s go back to Stone and make sure this is here in case we need a block okay that’s all we’re getting from that

We’re not really mining now now we’re just like torch sword ready what’s that there’s some more iron though which is good we may actually circle around to where we were this is going deeper now and deeper o boy how deep is this going to go there’s a

Creeper now with iron uh you can actually rush them with an iron sword and get them if you have nerves of Steel and with my full iron armor I probably should have but I didn’t um there we get some mined blocks for free keep an eye out for iron I thought

I saw some there it is careful mining straight up too anything could drop down gravel or Worse lava although lava does fall pretty slow I see some more iron anywhere oh looks there’s our diamonds there they are um we do want to make sure this is

Safe though this is where the water was flowing before it was right here was flowing down from that way I see lots of lapis here which is good cuz we’re going to want to do some enchanting at some point um let’s put one high up there and then one down low

Here and this loops around so I think we might be safe I think this cave is like lit up Now uh we can use the stone to mine this so we may as well so once we use the stone pickaxe up I think we’re never going back I think we’ll stay iron forever I hope so anyway okay here’s our diamonds oo I hope it’s at least five

Diamonds exposed to the air are kind of rare when you’re caving around and we’re not super deep here we’re just at yal -16 so my guess is that it’s only going to be two but we may get lucky then again we may not so two will be enough for an enchantment table but

We won’t have any obsidian uh because we don’t have a diamond pickaxe to mine it with so we can’t actually make the enchanting table anything dangerous above no just that okay we’ll switch to our iron and get our first diamonds of the series W look at that diamond how cool is

That oh it’s wrapped in a little bow see when you’re grateful for coal sometimes sometimes you get diamonds and would you look at that would you look it’s just another Diamond just just waiting for us also some dark though so we’re going to have to be careful and

Strategic here about this area do we come over from up here I think maybe we do o and I hear a zombie he must be up there um can we get over to this Area let’s go here here then here and this this is gravel so if we set gravel on the or um a torch on the gravel it’s going to fall so we’ll set it on the stone there and then we may accidentally end up updating these by setting these

Blocks here I don’t think so though and maybe actually there’s no way for it to fall because of uh reasons I don’t know that one fell okay we’re getting close to that diamond we’re also getting some creepy noises creepy cave noises is this where the zombie is going to

Be Darkness there and nothing more may as well get this one step closer to using up our stone pickaxe too two steps closer four steps closer this might be it for old Stony nope holds on for a little longer maybe we’ll save old Stony give him something to be grateful

For so a zombie must be up Here oh man if we don’t see one then where where’ it come from where did we hear it and where’s our Diamond I think it’s below us right now ah it’s right there okay I don’t know if there’s going to be a chance for there to be more than one

Here hopefully I would love to get five oh there’s a second One okay we got a decent chance here four is like almost the worst number you can get cuz it takes five to uh make a uh a diamond pickaxe and enchantment table cuz the table takes Two and I think we really do just have four uh but that’s okay we’re closer now oh all we have to do is find one if we find a lonely one we won’t be ungrateful for it we’ll be supremely grateful for it um because that means that we then haveo oop

Okay we then have all that we need to uh pursue our goals so where does the next Diamond come from then it probably comes from us continuing just our staircase down Al though is it a bad idea to do that when we have such Precious Cargo in our

Inventory okay first I’ve got to find the uh okay where’s that zombie do you hear him maybe he’s closed off from where we are and so we’re not going to see him I just need to discover where the uh water came from it came from this way right oh the they’re very close

Now do you hear them here skeletons too there must be a dark pocket where did the water come from cuz this is the room Right then it poured into I could have sworn it was this way well anyway I got to find my way out of here uh and when I do we’ll continue on so give me a minute to figure this out okay figured it out I hope I didn’t even cut away there

Because it was like 2 seconds after I said it okay here’s where the water came from and it flowed this way so we were hesitant to go this way so we came from here and here’s our stairs Perfect all right so back to iron back to working our way down here this will

Be five right uh cuz we have to dig out this one so one 2 3 4 5 are these all at six then they might be let’s see 1 2 3 4 5 how many stairs do I have 10 so one Two I’ll just have to make sure I don’t dig down more than 10 stairs worth requiring stairs to get up but we can always just use a block temporarily okay so I’m going to keep going down um and when I get to bedrock or something else interesting happens we’ll cut in once

Again still looking for that fifth Diamond and there it is my goodness there it is there might even be more too but I tell you what if there is more we’re not going to mine more because you only want to start with five and then you want to enchant and get Fortune before you you mine up the rest

Of them okay so we’ve got our work cut out for us we’ve got to go find sugar cane so we can make paper so we can make books we’ll also need leather to make books but with our cow Farm modest though it is honest way uh that’s just a matter of time but

The sugarcan is going to take some exploring so I think we’ll have to try to find that in this episode okay let’s see here one let’s place these Stairs 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 perfect that’s all the further we dug down okay let’s dig around this just see how many we have Here I also think I hear lava and we want to be very careful about lava cuz if you mine a diamond and then lava flows it will take the diamond out and these are our first early diamonds of the game we just want to be careful we don’t haven’t established

Mine yet in fact this looks like our five if we hadn’t explored our cave because we were afraid because of iron armor a lack thereof in all of that we actually would have been in great shape because we wouldn’t have uh and by the way I say wooda even

Though I know it’s wrong because my kids used to say that I think it’s cute and I miss when they were little um okay light being overzealous with the light here so we’re going to have four left over here four diamonds to mine with our Fortune enchantment hopefully there’s our fifth Diamond okay Five five diamonds so I was saying if you’re if you’re grateful for stuff sometimes you have more reason to be grateful but it’s not the more that makes you grateful it’s the grateful that brings you more I don’t know people sometimes say stuff like that and they

Mean like um like speak it into existence is kind of this weird thing where it’s like the power of positive thinking or whatever like Oprah Winfrey is big into this and uh I don’t I don’t like to believe in it I think it’s a little bit

Of uh what is sometimes referred to in Christian circles as the Prosperity Gospel um which taken to its extreme and not everyone who’s a proponent of some sort of Prosperity Gospel believes this but taken to its extreme can mean um if you’re not wealthy you don’t have enough

Faith it’s a you problem and God blesses everyone who has enough Faith with wealth uh which I think is nonsense however I do think gratitude helps you establish a pattern of remaining grateful for the good things in your life um which helps you to uh notice them

More which then makes it seem like maybe you get more because you’re noticing it um it’s like when you buy a car uh and then suddenly you see them on the road every day you see that kind you know say you buy a 2012 Toyota Corolla and then suddenly every time you drive

Past a 2012 Toyota Corolla you’re like they have the same car that I do except it’s green or silver or whatever uh there were just as many 2012 Toyota Corollas on the road before when you didn’t care about that versus a 2018 Ford Focus cuz they were

Both just cars you didn’t own and didn’t care about um but now you’re seeing it because you’re thinking about it because you’re noticing it because it’s important to you so gratitude is important to you uh you’ll suddenly discover that you had more to be grateful for than you thought okay this

I think should be maybe the floor of our cozy little place here and I’m kind of thinking about slabs up here too but maybe we dig down you know what we Dig Down um but first first we we’re not going to renovate this quite yet are we

Maybe we are I’m feeling inspired let’s grab this stair and we’ll put it Here uh and then what we’re going to do so we going to dig all this out make this whole place one Deeper um but we’re only going to make it half deeper and you’ll see what I mean in a moment so anything that has uh that’s floating right now is going to get a full block beneath it this too uh is this going to break no it won’t okay good okay these things as Well and the rest is going to get slabs okay how many slabs do we need 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 17 slabs uh 6 12 18 okay and then we’re also going to need some uh to keep things looking

Correct okay not only does this make the floor Cozier but also it makes it spawn proof because they’re bottom slabs and it makes the bed taller and our our work stuff taller see how that’s just a nicer height uh you don’t have to get down

Into the bed so far and like you can work here without bending over so far um but also it makes our ceiling 2 and 1/2 tall so we may still bump our heads but at least it’s not like really close like it is when you’re uh like

This oh look it’s daytime and do we have mature wheat that we didn’t bone meal I think we do so things are coming along here they’re coming along nicely we could replace this with stone thinking that might be a good idea we have so much of it and we’re probably

Going to end up with a lot more uh let’s put our new iron pickaxe in to our hand let’s put old Stony oh uh the stone shovel too sure but we’ll put old Stony pickaxe in there as well yeah I think that’s going to look

Nice okay so we got to do that here and here and here and even Here and it’s just going to make this feel better um should probably replace this dirt with Cobblestone or maybe smooth Stone depends how the Cobblestone looks how the Cobblestone stairs look pretty good actually oh this block is so nice though do we have 32 Cobblestone that might be very much

Enough to do all this oh this has anywhere that there’s grass and um snow though I think I’m going to keep so we know that this is cold and this feels cozy anyway so there’s going to be some like design choices in building stuff going

On in this series as well as uh like progression stuff I basically want to make it like really standard progression stuff and um but also building but a little bit you know like casual small builds that we just sort of Tinker with and tweak a little bit like we are

Here uh it feels cold in this room with all the stone though maybe we’re going to put wood up here later I don’t know or maybe wood in the walls or maybe wood in the ceiling I just don’t know we’ll see do we have more Cobblestone we must it’s cobblestone

Look there’s 64 of them now I don’t know why I’m not using my shovel I’m just not okay okay yeah this place needs some wood probably a wood ceiling we could do that here too and then maybe wood stairs here down to this or wood slab a wood slab right there I

Have one spare wood slab don’t I and you know what I should be doing all this I don’t have a spare slab but I do have a spare stair I should be doing all this after I get Um is that an okay place for that that’s not too crowded yeah okay we’ll do wood here but I should go find sugar cane first okay so let’s see about uh food we’ll put our most plentiful food there and we’ll put the rest of it up here so this is for taking with

Us I’m not sure we need that dirt and Cobblestone are fine those we don’t need uh okay I think this is the right choice we need to go find oh we need we need a bed is any of this wool okay so we could grab this to lure

Some sheep and maybe it’d be a good idea to dig the Sheep pen first uh hi guys I realized that I’m holding this um where would our sheep go on the other side we don’t need many oh the Sun is setting okay so we’re going to dig a sheep

Pen I guess wolves could get down into a sheep pen couldn’t They but we’re going to put it down here to begin with boom uh and we’re going to get out of here with a block of dirt like so okay and then we’re going to lure sheep into here we’re also going to put this here uh for now and this down here I like

Having water at the ready okay we got to sleep and then we got to find Sheep little bit of Cozy Coffee in the morning climb out of our bed fireplace is doing great uh we have extra iron in here which means more experience we’re at level 15 already so as far as enchanting goes we’re doing good with diamonds we can go

Get obsidian as soon as we get low and find a lava lake with our bucket of water we need sheep for wool so we can make a bed so we can go exploring for sugar cane but maybe we can just find it jumping around on the

Ice I don’t know what do we do first sheep I think sheep first we’ve seen sheep readily right it hasn’t been a huge problem finding sheep that first day we didn’t see Any but I imagine if we wander around in the snow here for a while we’ll find some that’s a bit of a hole love all this uneven Snow although I wish the snow fell underneath the uh spruce trees instead of it just being grass under the spruce trees that’s not how winter looks in my state hey look there’s our first uh where we cut down our first tree and we made our first crafting table okay

Sheep come on what’s the deal with sheep ooh sugar cane and uh is it growing because that’s water or is it growing despite the fact that this is ice I don’t know did we really only get two from that thought that looked taller than that oh there’s the Third okay so that’s a start on sugar cane do we see any more while we’re out here there’s a fox I still haven’t found any sheep I found a couple of pigs and cows since I started looking but just sort of doing the shoreline here looking for animals and looking for sugar cane

There I see a pig he’s hiding under that tree though so he is a smart Pig and we’re going to let him continue to live and be smart sugar can’s been rare just the one plant really and the Sheep are suddenly rare so I don’t know what the deal with that

Is I do like how fast you move when you run and jump on Ice Though okay there’s our cows and here’s our Home where are these sheep hm okay let’s try planting oh is that a sheep no it’s a fox let’s try planting these by ice and see how it Works we’ll go this way does not work if I do that then it does uhoh that became ice um okay if I put that There maybe we can go like this and plant more I don’t have any more to plant right now of course but that may work out just fine oh it’s snowing so beautiful Okay so we’ve got this growing I guess we don’t need sheep yet we need this for

Paper and these guys for leather we’ll feed them with this which I’ve got to grow I’ve got to figure out a good way to keep water melted sustainably so I can grow these things and um yeah then I need obsidian and that should be it for enchanting so I don’t

Really need sheep all right so here’s what I’m thinking I’m thinking between episodes I’m going to feed the cows and harvest their leather I’m going to expand this Garden so we can feed more effectively and get a lot of wheat going uh and I’m going to farm the uh sugar

Cane so that we’ll be ready to on camera make a diamond pickaxe take our bucket of water down to Lava pool level make some obsid Ian mine it up and start enchanting um which will be ambitious uh but we’ll be able to do it uh so this is a cozy nice little Winter

Wonderland we should have a lot more wheat cows leather maybe sheep if I stumble upon them off camera then I’ll put them into their uh pen and make shears and get wool from them so that we can uh make extra beds for exploration later um but then also do the sugar can
