Hello this is daniel please my name is daniel and welcome to yet another video in this video i’m going to teach you how to increase your fps and fakes a lag that’s right in this video i’m going to teach you how to increase your fps doing A couple of methods i’ll be teaching you three different things now of course if you already have used one of these methods then you can skip to the next and see if that one helps of course before we get started if you’re into minecraft videos Like this one then of course be sure to hit that big red subscribe button also check out my twitter and instagram and then without further ado here’s how to make minecraft run better so the first thing we’re gonna do this is step one and that is install optifine now what is optifine optifine Is a little program or a mod that will actually allow you to use shaders but the thing that we’re going to use it for is it actually optimizes minecraft just a little bit by just having it installed so what you’re going to do is actually use the download link Down below in the description to download optifine or just open up your browser and go to optifine.net so once you’re here come over to downloads look for the minecraft version that you’re currently playing it doesn’t really matter the latest version currently is 1.6.5 but this video should work for pretty Much every version there has ever been and also for future versions i’m gonna just download the one for 1.16.5 just click this download button right here this way you will actually support the creator of optifine as well you just have to wait five seconds for a skip button to appear right here Then you just click it and it should take you to this page open up a new tab come back to this tab click download or the link right here and then close this tab real quick because it’s going to redirect you to another ad now it should download optifine and Because we’re on chrome you will automatically get this warning because it’s a dot jar file just click keep and now you should be able to open this and you should see an installer but what if this doesn’t happen well in that case you’re going to want to actually install Java you can use the link down below in the description to actually download java if you don’t have java just yet so the link in the description will take you to this page where you just have to click this big red button it should download an installer and after you Finish downloading it you just click install and that should install java now if you already have java but it’s not associated with the jar extension then what you’re going to want to do is actually use the second link which is linked to jar fix which will actually Fix your jar files to open with java so the second link will actually take you to this website right here and then you should just scroll down a little bit until you see this jar fix exe link here just click that it should download jar And now you can just click that it will prompt you with a yes no choice and you just click yes then after that it should say the jar suffix has been registered successfully that means you can now open the optifine installer just click ok now just to make things a little bit easier I dragged over the installer over to my desktop right here because before you can install this you need to have ran the minecraft version you’re trying to run without optifine so i’m trying to install this for 1.16.5 so what you got to do is open up your minecraft launcher Go over to your latest release if that is the one you’re trying to install if it’s not that you go over to installations create a new one name it whatever you want i’m going to name this one just daniel whatever come over to version right here and then Select the version you’re trying to install so say you’re trying to install 1.15.2 you scroll down a little bit select 1.15.2 then click create you now have a profile that is actually on an older version you need to run this just one time just once and then after that the optifine Installer will recognize that you have that version and then it will proceed to install optifine like i said i’m going to do this for 1.16.5 so i’m going to just click play with 1.16.5 selected and then once the game actually launches we can immediately click quit game and then Proceed to installing optifine so we’ve made it into minecraft 1.16.5 or whatever other version you were using all you got to do now is click quit game the game will shut down now you can actually click the optifine installer this should open this small window which will say optifine installer For the version that you actually want all you got to do now is click install wait a few seconds it might look like this window just froze and then after that it should say optifine is successfully installed now you just click ok the installer will close now let’s Proceed to the next step which is to actually launch minecraft not the game just yet but just the launcher now inside of the launcher after we’ve installed optifine you can do something to that profile to make it run even better a lot of people don’t know this actually is An option but if you come over to installations right here look for the optifine profile click the three dots right here and click edit then you can scroll down a little to where it says more options and now if you scroll all the way down there’s a line here that says Jvm arguments over here this first one is the only one that we’re going to be editing this is the one that actually specifies the amount of ram that minecraft can use now sometimes minecraft might lag not because your pc is slow but because it just doesn’t have enough ram what We’re gonna do is actually change this to something higher it currently says xmx 2g which means two gigabytes of ram are going to be allocated to minecraft now say you have 8 gigabytes of ram in your system you can easily crank this up to 3 g or maybe even 4g i currently have 16 gigabytes of ram in my system so what i can do now is actually crank this all the way up to something like six or maybe even eight but you won’t really notice anything beyond six gigabytes because minecraft doesn’t really need that much Ram i do want to say that if you only have four gigabytes of ram you probably just want to leave it at two because you cannot use all of your ram for minecraft because windows needs some ram too and some other programs that might be running in the background need some Too and once you’ve set it to the right amount of ram you just click save and now the next time you will actually launch with that version so with optifine you will actually have allocated way more ram to minecraft so i’m going to just click play and get Into minecraft now it is perfectly fine for the first launch to actually give you a warning where it says this is a modded version of minecraft or something like that and you just have to tick a little box and then click i agree or something like that or just play Just click play everything is fine it’s just a new warning that moyang implemented don’t worry about that too much now what we’re going to do is hop into a world and adjust the video settings which is the last step of this video so here we are we’re in a World and all we got to do now is go over to the video settings to actually change them to increase our fps even more so as you can see in the top left corner i hope you’re able to see that my fps is currently locked to 60 Which is something we can easily change but we’re also going to increase it even more even further beyond 60. i know for some of you guys 60 would actually be really good but this works in any case even if you have a good pc if you have a bad pc This will improve fps in both of those cases so to go over to your video settings press escape to go into the game menu click options click video settings and these are your video settings these are the settings we’re going to be reducing in this video so if you want the most fbs The best video setting for graphics is not fabulous but fast smooth lighting should be turned off it will look a little weird but that is the best setting now you can reduce this but it won’t really do anything anymore because we already turned that entire setting off gui skill doesn’t really do Anything completely preferential completely up to you brightness doesn’t do anything either i like to turn this up because it makes minecraft easier to play then dynamic lights should be turned off if you want the maximum amount of fps because that’s something minecraft will have to think about Obviously you don’t want to use shaders if you need fps then details are also very interesting you don’t really have to change anything in here what you should change actually is entity distance and buy and blend you should turn buy and blend off for the best fps it will even say That this is the fastest option just click done right here now if you proceed to render distance this is probably the most important setting right here turn this all the way down to two chunks and you will have an insane amount of fps now don’t believe me just check out the fps In game after we have set the max frame rate to unlimited don’t set it to fees inc because that is going to limit your fps set it to unlimited now get back into minecraft and as you can see wow that’s almost 1200 fps right there 1200 this isn’t even a super flat world This is just a normal default minecraft world and i’m getting over 1200 fps now of course i will admit that if you set it to two chunks render distance you can barely see anything you can only see two chunks away from you to actually make it more playable If you actually have great fps in two chunks try four chunks which will make minecraft a lot more playable and you will still get a crazy amount of fps but this will be way more playable since you can actually see zombies coming at you in the distance obviously the best Setting is two chunks so i’m going to leave it at that so you can actually copy these settings max frame rate like i said unlimited view bobbing doesn’t really do anything entity shadows does do something so you should disable that dynamic field of view doesn’t really do Much it just changes the field of view a little bit when you sprint in minecraft you can disable that because you know it might save you a couple fps then if you come over to quality right here there’s a couple of settings that you can turn off but most of these Won’t really do that much unless you’re using a texture pack so if you’re using a texture pack i would suggest turning most of these settings off if you don’t they’re probably not going to impact your performance that much so what you should do is turn down the distortion effects Set the connected texture to off and then the last setting that you should change is the field of view effects turn that off click done and that’s pretty much it you can also come over to performance and see if any of these settings work out for you they might as well make your Game buggier so i would suggest just going one by one just turn one of these on click done see if minecraft runs better than before if not you come back and actually turn it off and try the next setting if that does improve you just leave it enabled like fast math for example And then you see well let’s try smooth fps and if both of those work great then you should just leave it at that and don’t touch anything anymore so these are the best video settings this was step three of this video it’s pretty crazy to think about this we Started out with 60 fps now of course that was on vsync but still we started out with 60 fps and now i’m running almost 1500 fps now that is insane so that’s been it for this video let me know down below in the comments how many fps you got before the video And how many fps you have now whether it improved anything and which steps actually worked the best i would sincerely appreciate it if you could drop a like on this video and of course if you’re into minecraft videos like this and just minecraft videos in general Then be sure to hit that big red subscribe button and then as always i will of course catch you in the next one see ya You Video Information
