Insane! I Survived 100 Days in 1.18 Minecraft!!

In this video i challenge myself to survive 100 days in minecraft hardcore but there’s a twist it is in the new 1.18 minecraft snapshot version yep that’s right today i’m going to be attempting to survive 100 days in 1.18 minecraft hardcore how much can i achieve in these 100 days

Deforestation by chopping down an entire tree for wood with the wood that i just got i crafted up some wooden tools and then broke some stone i upgraded my tools to stone and then i found some coal so i went and mined that up in a nearby lake i saw some salmon

Swimming around so i killed a bunch of them for food after doing all of this i went exploring and soon later found the desert temple i went inside looted it and got a golden apple and a few other enchanted books and other cool things i then went and found some sheep i got

Some wool crafted a furnace and smelted food i also crafted a bed as well i collected some sugarcane and that ended day one the following day i went mining and found lots of gold iron redstone lapis and even a lot of diamonds with these new massive caves it was so

Easy to find diamonds i crafted up an iron pickaxe a diamond pickaxe bucket and a few other things but they’re not really that important with the diamond pickaxe that i crafted up i mined up 14 obsidian as well from my first experiences playing this update i must say

When mining buckets are no longer important it’s all about the oak doors yes that’s right thor’s there is so much water in these caves that you could drown like any time so trust me on this one if you ever go mining in 1.18 make sure to bring a door with you after

That mining trip i went running around to find an area where i could build my base and while i was running i was thinking of ideas on how i could build this base i had a few cool ideas but to pull off those ideas i was going to need a lot of

Dirt so i could get to the height limit yes that’s right we’re going to be building something in the sky and the easiest way to get up there was towering up with a bunch of dirt once i made it to the height limit which by the way is now y

Level 319 i put my render distance on max it destroyed my computer but look at this it’s absolutely insane the views from up here was absolutely insane while i was up here i started building out a platform sort of representing a floating island obviously for now it was going to

Be a flat island until later on when i could get better blocks to build with and have that cool like shape underneath the island of course whenever i get my silk touch as well i will also need to bring grass because these dirt platforms they’re kind of ugly not gonna lie

Once i was happy with the platform that i just built i moved all my belongings up to the top on day 7 i decided to do a few things first of all i placed down 10 obsidian so i could build up a portal but of course i couldn’t light it since

I didn’t have a flint and steel so i went down to get some gravel so i could craft up a flint and steel but of course i got sidetracked and i started collecting every single farm material i got melon i got sugar cane i got cocoa beans bamboo cactus and literally everything i

Could get my hands on we were going to be the best farmers this game has ever seen well maybe not quite that but close enough okay the next two days i continued mining up more and more dirt i also crafted up a diamond axe and a few other things

With all that dirt i actually built another island which is connected by a bridge but that’s about it for these days oh yeah also at one point i did craft up an enchant table but i kind of forgot to write that down and with that enchant table i

Enchanted my tools so if the clips are kind of like messed up then that’s why i do apologize for that however adding to our new island i wanted to start building a house in my inventory i had almost a stack of logs so i began building a basic outline for the house

And then i ran out of materials so we scrapped this idea for now and went on a bit of a resource gathering trip first i cut down some trees and then went mining for some more materials and i’m very lucky i did this because i’m mine straight down into a lush caves

Oh my gosh moss is definitely one of my favorite blocks in this update and oh boy once i saw this i was down those mines for ages i got so sidetracked with all the moss and copper and other materials as well that i was down there for quite a long time

Moving on however because on day 14 i spent the entire day smelting my copper yeah i mined so much copper that it took the entire day to smelt but once it had smelted i spent the next couple of days working on the base this was definitely not my greatest

Build but it’s also just a starter base however and throughout this series i do plan on improving my builds a lot as well especially when i get more materials to build with i decided to turn all the copper into copper blocks and set that as my walls just add

Decoration and a bit of like a different color into the build i also won’t wax these because i think they would look pretty cool when they end up oxidized but for now this is what my base looked like let me know what you guys think about this

Personally i’m not the biggest fan but it is what it is for now and of course i’m going to improve it in the future all right hear me out i need more irons so during this day i went back mining once again yeah i did a lot of mining i guess i

Promise i won’t go mining for a while yeah trust me on that one okay yeah nothing else really happened this day i just went mining anyways farming as you can see i was running out of hunger really quickly and that was kind of a problem for when i go mining and stuff

So i had to figure out a way to get food behind my house that i just built i set up a smallish farm which consisted of wheat sugarcane bamboo and melon so now i had a somewhat food source not bad if i say so myself

I also used 20 bones worth of bone meal from my chest and bone mealed up all the seeds so i could get some bread to satisfy my hunger alright so you know how i said i wasn’t going to go mining for a while since i had to get some deep slate

Anyways while i was mining the deep slate look at what happened crazy right okay fine let’s get out of this mine once i got back to the surface i went up to the islands and started building out another bridge these bridges were actually quite annoying to build

But once i completed that i started working on the third island also having to go back and forth to the ground get some more dirt was kind of annoying but it is what it is i guess that’s what i get for wanting to build a base in the sky

But soon after the island was complete and i was now ready to build something on top of it with the new island complete i built up by one block to add a second ish layer kind of just add like more depth i don’t know if that’s the correct terminology in this but

If it’s wrong then uh sorry i don’t know anyways besides the point i wanted to turn that whole entire island into a wheat farm because we are going to be taking bread making to the max screw all those bread factories when you can get an entire

Island full of wheat yeah i really need food and once we get some animals up here i can breed them as well so not only will this wheat be good for my hunger but it’ll also be good for breeding animals it’s definitely not all for me okay

Of course we don’t end here though because i instantly began building another island you see we had a bunch of farm materials and since we used the other island for only wheat we needed another area for all our other farming materials so we began building up another island

I built a bridge collected more dirt and in the process of getting all that dirt my shovel did actually sadly break so with the materials i had collected i started working on the new island eventually i ran out of dirt so i crafted up another diamond shovel

Enchanted it and collected a bunch more dirt i finished that island and since i had left over dirt i built another one yeah i’m really going crazy with these island builds and then on day 27 i actually put these islands to use i decided to turn them all into farming related

Islands the big island had multiple crops and the small one had only bamboo since i didn’t really have anything else to set this island as maybe later on when i add the thing underneath the islands i can set that one as a pond that would

Be a cool idea now that i think about it for the next few days i kind of got sidetracked and didn’t get too much done i just added more crops to the wheat farm and i also added more stuff to the other farms and i also added bamboo around

All the other islands for decoration because it just makes the whole area look a lot nicer all right fine i’m sorry but we’re going to have to go and get way more dirt but don’t worry i’m not going to make you sit through this okay

After mining up a lot of dirt i came back to our base and built the biggest floating island yet and this one was going to be for storage because we didn’t have a single area to put chess well i mean we technically did but i wanted a whole island dedicated for chests

Only when i was decorating this island i kind of went a little bit overboard because since we didn’t have grass yet i had to use moss i’m not going to complain though because moss blocks look absolutely insane it’s definitely one of my favorite blocks but when you bone meal moss

It doesn’t just give you the moss block it also gives you grass and all these other things called like azalea i can’t really remember what the other one’s called but if you bone meal those azalea plant things they turn into trees so i went really overboard when decorating this island but i mean

Hey it turned out quite nice so i’m not complaining but of course we didn’t have enough bone meal to moss the whole island so i waited for it to turn nighttime so i could kill a bunch of skeletons after collecting a lot of bones and a few other cool items from the night

Before i came back and finished off decorating the island and eventually i was happy with the way this turned out however with the trees that i added up here there wasn’t really much space for me to add chests oh well i guess we’re gonna have to remove those sometime later

After doing all the decorations i did something stupid i jumped off the island and i could have died but luckily my mlg bucket water bucket things i’m just absolutely skilled at it no i’m joking i suck at mlgs i don’t know how i landed this but if i didn’t land this the whole

Series would have been over so never doing that again okay anyways now that i was down here i actually collected a lot more wood and crafted up some chests with that wood and then i placed it in the new storage area and emptied my inventory out it was now never time

I went off to the nether for one main goal and that was to find the nether fortress and get blaze rods on my way to searching for the nether fortress i ran into a massive bastion so i decided to rate it and i got a few

Epic items if i must say so myself i got two diamond pickaxes and the only important one there was the one that had silk touch on the diamond pickaxe meaning we can now get grass blocks let’s go i also got the other diamond pickaxe but that wasn’t really special whatsoever i

Think it just had unbreaking on it i got some netherright lots of gold and iron and just a few other cool items but eventually i was done with this place so i left the bastion and once again went exploring for the nether fortress i ran quite a while until i found the nether

Fortress i instantly found the blaze spawner and spent quite a long time in here trying to get as many blaze rods as possible so i wouldn’t have to come running back again another time in the end i came out with a shield that had one durability left and 27 blaze rods pretty successful

Once i made it back to the overworld i went and collected grass blocks to replace the dirt from up the top because of course dirt is ugly on its own and grass is good i then farmed all my farms and went running around looking for some cows

And brought them back home but since i currently had no way of getting the cows up to the top i just decided to make a cow pen down the bottom day 45 i collected more dirt and built up another small island but this time it was actually for my enchant table

That’s cool i guess day 46 to 50 i went mine again but this time i’m going to keep it short and sweet basically i wanted to defeat the ender dragon fairly soon and i didn’t want to take any chances of dying so i wanted to get full diamond armor and currently i

Didn’t have enough diamonds for even like two pieces of diamond armor so i went down started mining and eventually got enough for full diamond armor so instead of showing you boring mining stuff enjoy this diamond mining montage nice after mining i came back up to my base

And crafted up the full diamond armor and then enchanted it until i could get level 30 enchants this is all i could get just protection and nothing really too special but of course it is what it is and later on once we get way more stacked we’ll be able to get

Level 30 enchants and i also finished off building all the bridges because most of them weren’t even complete and once doing that you can definitely see the island is getting somewhere and it’s starting to look pretty decent even though we had a long way to go

Day 52 did nothing in the daytime but as soon as it turned nighttime i was ready to fight mobs i needed to get a lot of ender pearls so i could prepare for the ender dragon fight i fought hard in the night time and i ended up with

So many ender pearls i mean look at this i’m just kidding i didn’t get a single ender pearl that whole night time so i got quite annoyed about this and i decided to go off to the nether once again why did i go to the nether well it’s because endermen

Spawn a lot more in the nether or something i don’t know why but i like efficiency okay i wanted ender pearls and i wanted them now anyways while i was running in the nether looking for a warped forest by him because i’m pretty sure that’s where enderman spawned the most i discovered a

Bastion which was also right next to another fortress anyways i looted that bastion got some cool loot and then went off and found a warped forest which i killed lots of endermen and got lots of enderpearls all in all that was a pretty successful enderman

Trip i don’t know what to call it i spent the next few days preparing for the end battle i got lots of arrows crafted a bow crafted golden apples and of course made some eye of ender that’s pretty much it i was just preparing for the ender dragon battle

And then on day 57 as soon as sunrise happened i was out of bed and ready to kill this and the dragon i went running and running and even more running until i finally found the stronghold which i then located the end portal and i was finally ready to defeat the ender dragon

Going through the end portal i was ready to defeat the ender dragon but once i made it to the end i was greeted with a very interesting sight the obsidian towers were not there i guess they were correct with saying this was an experimental snapshot but i’m not

Complaining because now i could save arrows and shoot the ender dragon with them instead of end crystals anyways i fought hard against this dragon got knocked down to half a heart nearly died multiple times but in the end i came out victorious without dying and i also collected all

The xp from the dragon come on minecraft why didn’t you just give me one extra xp level what is this such a scam once defeating the ender dragon i made my way to locate an end city the first end city that i came across was very unsuccessful only being a very small one

And it didn’t even have chests of loot inside so i continued my quest to find an end city to get the elytra and eventually i found this big end city i skipped through the majority of it because i didn’t really care i killed some shulker boxes

I killed some shulkers on my way up until i made it to the end ship and finally i had gained access to the elytra along with some other cool end city loot i guess very nice i also took the dragon head until finally i got everything i needed

And then i made my way back home let’s the next build that i did in this world was absolutely insane but not in a good way because of how long it actually took to build you see when i started doing this i thought oh yeah this might just take a couple of days

But oh boy was i wrong i began building another island up to the up the top and then with that island i dug out two holes place down some water and you probably guessed what i was building now i’m making a bubble elevator and i’m pretty sure you need walls

Around the water so yeah this was just an entire pain to build because i needed to collect lots of wood lots of sand and this alone took forever but anyways once i collected all the materials i built up the walls and then i put in the kelp the

Soul sand and then bam we now had bubble elevators to get up the top oh and i also replaced one of the sides with magma so the bubble elevator would take us down but i mean hey at least we can get villages up here now right

Yeah because now it was time to get some villages look at that smooth transition to the days come on you gotta say that was pretty good right but of course i had to overdo it i wanted villages on my island of course what else were you thinking i’d do

What just build a base in the village no that’s that’s not enough effort put into this world if i do that so yeah this time instead of using boats on minecarts to move these villages i actually had a better idea and this was just to put down a composter

And then the villager tries to get their profession and then i would break it move it away and then the villager would try and get the profession again following the composter it’s a pretty good process i definitely suggest this one instead of like using lots of iron for a minecart or something

Even though this does take a decent amount of time once i brought the first villager over i pushed him into the bubble elevator and then voila it was now up the top i did this process to the other villager and then we were done with my newly obtained villages i collected more dirt

And built out another island i also built an area for the villages to be moved into it was kind of like a i don’t know what to call it this is like a house or something even though it wasn’t a house it was like a two by one blocked out

Area but anyways i then gave the villagers their professions one was a farmer villager which i got the wheat trade because i had a massive wheat farm and the other was a librarian villager with amending book to trade so that’s very cool and of course this can’t be a proper

Video without something messing up basically this is what my screen recording looked like from days 85 to 93. let’s go okay since i can’t show you a black screen i’ll just record myself replicating what happened and that should be good right so if anything’s incorrect or looks different

With these recordings then that’s the reason anyways on day 90 after getting all that stuff i bred the cows and broke down that ugly dirt pillar that i originally used to build to get up and down to the island and the ground obviously i crafted up an anvil

And then with that anvil i used a mending book and put that on my elytra and then i used the elantra just to have a little fun flying around after having a little fun with my lightroom i crafted up a brand new diamond pickaxe i enchanted it and then went down mining

Loads of cobblestone for a farm that i was going to build after acquiring all that new cobblestone i began working on another build hopefully this was going to be a useful farm well it definitely wasn’t because look at the speed of this farm it was absolutely terrible anyways after

Wasting time building that mob grinder i decided to do something else and that was to prepare for something that i would probably do in 200 days and that was to get some sheep because i was going to need a lot of beds so i could get

Netherrite armor in the future so i went running around for a very long time looking for sheep and then bringing them back home and i made like a little pen for them and then that was pretty much it and finally to finish the hundred days i just went around lighting up all the
