Insane! Joe’s Mind-Blowing Auto Bank in Minecraft

Have you ever gone into a shop on a server and realized that you didn’t have any diamonds to buy stuff with well what you probably did was just plunk down an ender chest and grab your diamonds out of it but that’s boring so I’m going to build a massive bank system to keep

Track of people’s diamonds and automatically make payments using only the bank card is this a bit ambitious probably probably so actually I I had this cool idea right where basically you have a bank you plunk the bank down in the middle and all around it you’ve got shops all connected using Redstone to

This bank and you can like put your bank card in in a shop and it will automatically deduct to the diamonds out of your account without you ever having to even pull diamonds out so even though this may be a multi-part series I’m going to get started on my Redstone

Testing World here and see what we can come up with but the first thing to do will be to start with the bang so let’s see here Bank stuff Bank stuff what does Banks made out of what what do banks look like reinforce deep site actually

I’m going to go ahead and start with the Redstone mechanics of it first and then I’ll build a building around it later bank cards are basically just going to be these papers that are going to be renamed with People’s Bank numbers on them so to make that work we need a

Simple item filter first of all so this is one module of the order done so if I throw in a piece of paper you can see it’s picked up but any other item are not but I believe these should be stackable so if I go ahead and add

Another one it should actually continue to work even though it’s next to this one turns out this design actually actually wasn’t tilable at all it was like AB tilable which means you can tile it with another sorder for 16 items and but not next to itself so um looks like

I’m going to have to make it slightly less space space efficient I’m sure there’s there are versions of this that can tile but I don’t really feel like finding them right now so I’m basically just going to going to have to have a one block space between each one so now

As we can see all the modules are now done and if I go ahead and take this is paper number six and I Chuck it in here we should be able to see it going all the way down and Bam into that one and I

Think yep there we go number six now I believe every module also has to have a piece of paper like inside this Hopper as well but I guess those will those will kind of kind of build up eventually so now essentially we have a system to detect which card someone put in

Although I do need to actually make it usable rather than just chucking it into a water stream so basically here we go we’ve got the floor of the bank here which I fell off okay but we got the floor of the bank we have our chest

Right here and pretty much if we put in a bank card which I don’t seem to have any of but if I put in a thing then basically we can see it should get yep it gets spat out of the bottom but since of course that wasn’t actually a bank

Card it just kind of flows off to the end so there now basically if you put in any item that is not the correct thing then it’ll just end up in that chest at the end for you know just to hold it and collect it and stuff so now pretty much

I’m not even exactly sure what to do next but I think what I need to do is pretty much have a hopper underneath each of these chests right here so that you can essentially suck the card back out again once you need it and then I’ll

Need a way of locking them probably so that it doesn’t actually take it out until you need it to because I think what we’re probably going to have to do is actually put take a comparator out of here so that it can actually detect if there’s an item inside and then because

If if there is an item inside then essentially that means that there is a bank card that has been you know inputed and then pretty much what we’re going to have to do is of course after you’re done using the bank you’re going to have to actually get the card back

Out so that this Clos basically each of these is going to have account is going to basically whenever you put your bank card in we want to open only the account that your bank card was and unlock a hopper for only that okay I think I know

How it’s going to work I just need to kind of get get down to work actually trying to build it I’m just going to put a row of Hoppers along the bottom here like this to suck the items out once we’re done with them so now I think

Since that line is locked then if I put an item inside of any of these then it okay it get sucked out anyway that that doesn’t quite work I think I can fix it though by putting down some Redstone torches behind here so that it’ll actually be actually locking The Hoppers

Which essentially means that until the player is actually done making their their their payments and stuff then pretty much we can just keep this locked because as soon as the person puts in their card then okay this actually should work we should be able to

Actually test this now so if I take in bank card number four pop that in there we should see number four light up right here yes that’s super cool I’m so happy that actually worked and then pretty much if we want to request our card back

Then we just add a torch right there yep that deactivates and Bam we have well we also have that but ignore that we have that there we go cool so we actually have a working system now entally means that somehow we have to use that power coming

Out of whichever one is selected to essentially modify one certain ones so pretty much I need to make some more stuff up here before I can continue really so now we have a larger room here and I’m going to have so we’re going to start with depositing so pretty much

You’re going to be able to deposit diamonds into it so for that I’m going to need another chest with a hopper and another smallish item sorder thing so let’s just see what kind of space we have back here I think I know what to do possibly

Um uh I’d like it so that you can actually just put put the diamonds inside of a chest and then they’ll just automatically be taken like that or I just had an idea what if I just use the same one I mean in theory I could just

Use the exact same one and put plon another one plonk another sorder on the end here for diamonds I mean that could work so now I think we’ve got the diamond thing in there there I just need to add some more water here oh no no no no

No uh let’s try that again now and do it right this time there we go but now I think as long as the Redstone hasn’t been washed away then I think if I grab a diamond and Pop That in here then I think we should see it of course come

Along here and hopefully end up well actually I think there has to be like a filler right wait where a second where is it oh it’s been picked up by the Overflow system but now we pretty much though I think have to figure out how to store the person’s items So currently

It’s well there’s no there’s no storage at all there’s absolutely nothing but I think I’m just going to store it all in chests that’ll probably be easiest and each person gets basically one chest with all their items inside of it so if I were to make a system basically where

There’s a hopper and a chest like this and then we pretty much have um okay I’m going to have to move that one more block back but then pretty much if I’ve got a redstone torch here that locks this Hopper right yeah so pretty much

Now if I this is similar to how the vending machine thing worked where basically only the one that was unlocked would be the one that would manage to let items through so pretty much since that one if item number one if card number one was put in then this one

Would be the only one unlocked which means this is the only one that could receive or accept items I just had receive or accept items that’s means the same thing I meant to say receive or give items or something like that but now I’m going to go ahead and add one of

These to each one now essentially I may remove those chests at the bottom and put something else there as the thing that’s going to suck the items out but basically now though only the hopper underneath these chests only the hopper that is selected like only the number along here that’s basically powered on

Is going to be the one that’s unlocked and can receive items and the item of course that it’s going to be able to receive or remove is going to be of course diamonds that are going to come through this thing here now I think I guess these bottom chests

Are probably going to be the ones that have the actual items inside so I’m going to remove those and essentially now I’ll probably put a water stream over the top kind of like that and then it’ll basically basally put the items along here they’ll flow over the top and

Only the one that’s unlocked will be able to receive it I think that should work just fine and there we go water streams are actually really cool looking aren’t they this thing is actually starting to look really nice but if I were to take a diamond and

Put that in his junk instead without any of the accounts unlocked I wanted to see if this works but basically it should shoot out of there yep yep yep yep yep and okay it shoots a little a little a little too much a little too much force

On the shoot there but if we just try that again then pretty much the diamond should end up right there if I just stare at this spot the diamond should end up there I’m just going to stare at this for a while yep yep diamond diamond

There we go nice so that works but here’s the the magic the fun part if I put in an account number like four we should see that one light up yep there we go and now now now now now now if I put in a diamond and head down to

Account 4 we should see it end up in here if eventually yes I’m so happy but now we kind of have a working Bank like we kind of already have you can basically hold your valuables but you actually you currently have no way of actually retrieving your

Valuables out so I need to actually make that it makes me feel extremely professional to use different wool colors to do this oh yeah by the way I’m putting in a red coater onto this thing because I decided to use a lecturn to actually select it that does mean you’ll

Only be able to withdraw up to 15 diamonds at a time but I think it might work though and I it’ll be easy it’s easy to like it’s easy to use once it’s done so let me see if I can make that work so now I’ve got the red coder done

So pretty much now if I go to the book and switch to say number four then we see number four is lit up actually turns out I can’t figure it out I cannot figure it out as cool as this red coater looks it’s not going to actually be able

To be useful but I actually feel kind of dumb because I just thought of an idea for a way of of actually getting your diamonds out of the system that would be like much easier to use and much easier to make and that is what if there’s just

A a chest right a chest up there on the behind me on this on the platform where you stand what if there’s a chest up there and basically you just flip a lever the diamonds start pouring in and you just flip the lever again when you

Want to stop the diamonds like you just flip it wait for as many diamonds as you want to come out of your account and then you flip it again to stop it I don’t know why I didn’t think of this but there’s probably there’s probably problems with it that I haven’t seen yet

But I’m just going to do that so I guess I’ll tear this red coater out so this right here is the diamond lever and basically we’re have a chest here and or it might not be there in hand that probably won’t be there cuz we

Need to feed stuff into it with a hopper but basically it’s just going to be you just flip the lever you wait for diamonds to come in and when all the diamonds you want to come in have come in then you just flip the lever to stop it basically and obviously it won’t

It’ll it’ll obviously drain all your account if you want it to but obviously it won’t give you any more than your account so that should be all secure and safe and everything so pretty much I need to make it so that when you flip that lever up there it will send a

Signal all the way around and then pretty much only the chest these are the account chests obviously the these are the ones where the diamonds are then pretty much what has to happen is when you flip the lever it has to run around here right it has to power or it has to

Actually probably invert so that it will deow but it’s going to be a similar system like I was saying to actually how the the vending machines worked in that only the one where two conditions are met is going to be able to be unlocked basically I can take an output from

These things up here and whichever one is unlocked I can basically say unlock the hopper in that way and then up there that will also unlock the hopper but since there only maybe one hopper that actually both things are unlocked on both pulses are not powered then that’s

The only one that’ll let diamonds out I know it’s very confusing it’s simple but also yeah confusing so hope that made sense if if not then hopefully it’ll make sense along the way so here it is spaghetti Redstone once again has been spaghettified o there we go now it looks

Good but anyway so now though if we test it though we can see if we look in this chest there’s 35 redstone dust in the account that’s selected you can see that one’s turned off so and then over here is essentially the output chest you see

There’s nothing in there but if we flip this lever up here it should deactivate that Redstone and then if we jump down here we should see those yep there we go and they should keep coming through until if we go ahead and run up here real quick and flip it then they should

Stop coming through eventually it’ll take just a second but yeah so there we go 20 came out and then if we go down here back over to the one then bam we still have 15 left and it will only drain out of the account that is selected I mean we’re almost done I

Think I’m going to make a transport system with a water elevator or something to bring the items up into this chest right here from all the way from down here it is going to take a little while for your items to actually be delivered but once I do that we’re I

Mean we are getting close to being done here and there we go we have a a diamond transport pipe this actually would look cool if you Incorporated that into the look of the bank but this is definitely the largest like water bubble elevator transport thingy I’ve ever made for

Items before but wow that’s great yeah CU see we have to basically transport it from the system all the way down there all the way around into that Hopper down there which puts it into this chest basically so now it’s almost done to be honest it is actually almost done it’s

Getting there so pretty much though what we have to do still is it should be pretty easy I’m hoping um but back here I can’t even get in there I can’t even get inside the Redstone okay back here this this Hopper thing here basically once that unlocks then it will deposit

The C back out so I think there’s just a lever or a switch or something to unlock it if I just run down here and somewhere I think if I just power that then I think it should actually deactivate yeah see there we go see number four is now lit up again which

Means it actually removed the card from it and if we go around here there should be yep look at that number four a number four card inside there so now we need a way to basically automatically deactivate it and give you your card back which is going to yeah probably

Going to require another water transport system which I might be able to actually just sort of like siphon into this one and then into this chest so it kind of like doubles as the the return chest for anything that you want to give pretty much we’re I need a button up here

Probably that’s pretty much a button that’s like says you know return get card back or something like that and that connects into the orange circuit although I probably should have made that actually the lime green to make it match but I don’t really care right now

But um you power it to get rid of the items yeah that’s right okay so pretty much I shouldn’t have to do any kind of inverting or anything to do that and then I just to get rid of that right there and so that when you push the

Button it should deactivate it for enough time to let the card any card inside of it out the only slight thing is that if you’ve unlocked like number six down here then it may take a long time for it to get down to the end like

It may take a few seconds for it to travel all the way down that Hopper line which means that the button like pulse may end before it gets there which means it’ll it’ll get stuck somewhere along the way so I may actually replace it with a lever and then pretty much what

You do is you just flip the lever wait for your card to come back and then flip the lever back again that could be something a button would be fancier but for now I think I’ll try that also that does not look good right there I’m not

Sure what happened there but that should be all right so now it automatically should deactivate it but now we have to have a way of getting the items rather than this chest it needs to get up into I guess the water line up there probably would be a good thing all right and

There we go we’ve got the transport coming up from the basically the thing that gives you the card back so basically it all just you know yeah I mean you’ve seen it it comes along here here heads up there and then it just connects in with the main water stream

That brings your stuff brings your diamonds around but guys this might actually be done I think this might actually be done so I mean let’s try it shall we let’s go ahead and try it so here we go I’ve got the bank cards for

Four three and six just to test a few of them I’ll test them all probably but just for now we’ll do this so pretty much all accounts should be closed so basically all those Redstone torches are on down there but if I just take say I

Want to open account number three I pop this in here bam account number three should now be open and yes yes account number three one two three yep yep account number three is open now it should be empty which means that so basically this is the key card

Return I need to put signs on this stuff but that’s the key card return lever this is the the Diamond like take out lever so basically if I open this if I flip this lever nothing should come through unless there were some odd bits inside number three’s chest there

Shouldn’t be anything but yeah so basically nothing there also which direction okay yeah that’s that’s off right there like that’s not sucking items out and then that is sucking items out so yeah there shouldn’t be nothing in there but now if I want to deposit I basically just put diamonds inside this

Chest so let’s just put like three at first so that should have deposited the diamonds into my account we should be able to see yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah oh I’m falling into the Redstone in my in my excitement but yes okay now let’s just check it real

Quick let me just check it and see real quick this is it right here oh no that’s the okay I was scared for a second there that’s the key card reader not the actual storage this is the actual account chest right here and okay there’s two diamonds inside

There I put three I think I did put three didn’t I I put three I’m almost sure I put three did one get lost somewhere okay yeah that one went in so yeah I’ll do more testing but for now though pretty much to close the account

Like if I wanted to just close the account and just like store my diamonds there I can just flip this lever and then wait for my key card to return here we should actually be able to see it eventually yeah there there it is there it is there it

Is yes I’m so I love redstone contraptions that work it’s so H so happy when they work it’s so fun but anyway though that account is now closed so hopefully if I flip the diamond like suck out switch it should give me nothing the the the lever that basically

Withdraws items out that should be unaffected all good you can’t take items out unless you have a thing is selected but now if I select number six that should work should be selected with that last one right there I think that’s actually kind of strange oh no it isn’t not sure how

Looking at the wrong torch there’s so many Redstone torches and this has been a long day okay there we go so pretty much now now yeah yeah so now if I flip this I should not get any diamonds like number three should not be outputting its diamonds yeah good good good so number

Three is not like deactivated nothing comes out good now I should be able to deposit diamonds I’m going to deposit a full stack this time and just see if we have any loss and figure out where that loss is but we should be able to actually watch the diamonds this is so

Fun yeah they should go wait a second I saw diamonds full o oh I have a feeling that’s where they went is it overloading is it overloading the hopper no it couldn’t be overloading the hopper that fast a lot of items actually 15 16 oh and and and and

Try out the the the Diamond delivery system so I’m going to go ahead and and close this account and try opening account number three and withdrawing diamonds out of that one so in this time I’m just going to stand here and wait for it to come through just for fun

We’ll just see it it should it takes a few seconds to come through but yeah bam number six all right cool now if I put in number three again do that unlock account three I should probably put some indicator lights and stuff telling when things are

Ready but should be ready in fact to tell that it is ready we can look y there we go all right now if I withdraw Diamonds though I just flip that and three diamonds which is all I have should come through because it’ll just keep putting diamonds through until you

Flip the lever off again so it should two three yes and that’s all that comes through is three nice so now we can successfully with draw Diamonds the only thing is we cannot successfully deposit diamonds without them being lost and I have absolutely no idea why I

Mean if I Chuck items in look at that they all got picked up they all got picked right there does it not handle single items very well like if I just just start chucking them in right here just go like one and then oops okay if I can actually throw

Them in one two three it’s like it yeah it’s like it can’t handle multiple items at once or something if I do that with this yeah okay there’s like a there must be like a a one tick delay or something uh that’s not fun how do people get like large storage systems to

Work if that’s the case okay well well this thing is super cool guys I’m so glad I made it and all but yeah I need to get back to the Head scratching cuz I need to fix that problem after much head scratching later okay so I think I’ve fixed it it’s a lot

Bulkier I can tell you that but the idea is that basically now if you put diamonds into the system if we go up here I’m not sure if this will actually work but let me see do we have a account selected uh yes we do with count number

Three and if I just check a stack of diamonds in there and I’ll just head down here just so we can see how much loss there is I’ll take those out now hopefully yeah see they kind of just like they kind of just they end up inside there

Right and even if they don’t go over fast enough then they’ll still like come back but basically then they’ll get spat out here and then even if they go over it they will come out of this side and go all the way back around again yeah

See there we go there’s one that didn’t do it so it’ll just go around and try again all the way back into the hopper and it will be spat out to be tried again and to be honest it’ll be pretty slow I think but I mean as long as all the

Diamonds get in eventually then that’s really kind of just fine with me so I guess we’ll just wait and see if that stack makes it all the way through well um okay I was about to say well uh 63 got through but no it turned out all 64

So it’s very slow but it does work though so I guess that’s good and so there we go we got ourselves a little inside of a bank thing here it I mean doesn’t really look that great but anyway yeah so now you can just you can

Just deposit stuff you just you know you can do Stu Actually I don’t even know if I closed my account yet so I’m not sure if that’ll work properly but I mean yeah it’s it’ll be a little bit hard to use because I can’t see the Redstone anymore

So I can’t actually tell if the account’s been selected properly I’m going to try to to request diamonds and see if it actually works for account 4 I’m not sure if I actually closed account number six yet though so honestly I’m not sure exactly what will

Happen anyway though yeah so I mean and I actually managed to make it so that there was a decent looking interior thing like area without redstone all over it where would the entrance go uh I have absolutely no idea although I suppose it could go like right here

Maybe or something but anyway as you can see the bank area is very tiny whereas all the Redstone to make it work is absolutely enormous but anyway folks that’s all I have time for today in fact I probably didn’t even have enough time to do this today but I did it anyway so

Anyway any way um I’m I plan to come back and update this thing with all kinds of new new cool stuff including like I was saying at the beginning the shop system that connects to this possibly I might even come back and try to do that but anyway though I hope you
