Insane Minecraft 1.20 Allay Guide – Duplicating, Sorters, Item Collector Build

LA are an incredibly useful mob in Minecraft being able to collect sort and deliver items for the player along with many other secret abilities learn everything about the LA mob and Minecraft with this guide if you’re playing Survival Minecraft you’re not just going to find an LA in a forest or

Somewhere else because they’ll only spawn inside the game in generated structures so we have to find the structures to find this mob now there’s two structures for this and the easiest way of finding them is going to chunkbase.com and typing in your world seed once you have your world seed we

Can look for either the Pillager Outpost or for the Woodland Mansion now Pillager outposts are a lot more common than the Woodland Mansion but the Woodland Mansion is much more of a guaranteed chance of a lot of elays let’s start by how to get the ls from the Pillager

Outpost so let’s go to these coordinates I would suggest having iron armor as well as a shield a sword and an Axe and just any item you want to give to the LA now the LA generate ins inside the cages that can be around the Pillager Outpost

But just be aware that a Pillager Outpost is not guaranteed to have a cage with the ls in it actually the way it works is there’s two types of cages one of the types will almost always have an iron golem in it and the other type will

About half the time have an laay in it so for an example this could be an laay cage that just didn’t end up generating one so because of that there’s about a 25% chance of any cage that generates here to have 1 to three aays in it as

You can see right here this cage has two alls in it so go up to the LA and right click on both of them with an item once we’ve done that we can escape as quickly as possible using the shield to block any attacks if we need to let’s move on

Though to the only other structure that has a lase in it and for this one it’s also really easy to find on chunk base although Minecraft does give us a way to find these as well really easily with the Woodland Explorer maps from the Cartographer villagers so if you want to

Is a prison room you’re going to want to have diamond armor as well as at least a diamond sword and also some boats and just some items to give the Els now start by placing down a boat even if you haven’t found any mobs yet because once

We go into this dungeon here there is guaranteed to be one of these vindicators the best idea is to get it trapped in a boat and then defeat it once it’s trapped in this boat now once we’ve gotten rid of any vindicators you’re going to want to go into these

Dungeons and inside of each one of these JL cells there is 1 to three La if we look inside the other rooms they’re also going to have anywhere from 1 to three this one has two for an example now there are a few different types of dungeons that can generate in this

Structure so the amount of aays you can find in one with the Mansion varies a lot but it’s actually really common to find up to 25 La out of of just one Woodland mansion and as you can see right here there is an absolute ton of them and they’re so fun if you’re

Find structures every single time we need more so how do you breed or duplicate the LA we need to start by locating an amethyst geode now inside of the amethyst geode there’s these blocks of amethyst that are budding amethyst and these will grow these amethyst crystals on them need to break it with

A diamond and eight planks so now that we have all of our ingredients we’re just going to get our LS really close to the Juke Box by putting their favorite item there then place a music disc inside the juke box and whether or not the LA’s have items in their hand it

Doesn’t matter but once they’re in this amazing dancing animation all we have to do is just right click on them and as you can see the magic right there is amazing we’re literally duplicating these La now sometimes they will fly out of the range that they can fly in but

Let’s just lead them back and once we’ve done that we can duplicate all these alls Again by simply right clicking on them with this amethyst Shard it’s actually a little bit difficult to see it so quick these aays have now just duplicated in front of us so if we turn

Off the music and count our lays here we have three of the ls with items and then there is one two three of these LS that do not have items and we used up three amethyst shards now the cool down timer for duplicating allays is the exact same

As any other mob that’s 5 minutes so basically you only need one laay to duplicate it of course we just right click on one mob and we get one from it and so because of that if we want to get a bunch of these we can actually get

Aays two times as fast as any other mob in the game so next time you go to an amethyst geode and get a bunch of these shards just remember that you can use those to get infinite delays and what’s great about this is you really only need to rescue one laay from whatever

Structure you’re going to but speaking of that what are the exact abilities of the LA and what’s the best way of using them the way the delays work LA’s collect the item in their hand now you write click or press the use button on an laay and that will take Whatever item

Is currently in your hand this can also be an unstackable item like for instance this shovel but generally you would want to do something like sand an item that the LA could collect for you a lot now once these La have items in their hand they’re actually going to follow us no

Matter where we go so we can travel around the entire Minecraft world world and they’re going to just keep following us as long as we don’t get too far away or they don’t get stuck now the distance that they’ll do this from is for 64 blocks away now once you have given aays

An item not only are they going to follow us from 64 blocks away but they’re also going to gather items that are 32 blocks away or closer so for an example right here digging away the sand on this beach we don’t have to worry about being really close to the blocks

We’re breaking but as you can see the LA do have a lot of coold downs and stall a lot when up items so for any situation where there’s a lot of items going to be on the ground you want to have a few LS collecting the same item now how many

Items can one laay grab before it delivers it to the player if we collect just a few more of these sand blocks and get up to a full stack then we’re going to see its limit and if we put down a stack and two sand what’s going to

Happen is the LA will grab all of it but those two sand now we can just grab those and that laay will now have its full 64 sand blocks in its inventory the only problem is it’ll also only grab a stock of unstable items so how does that

Work well it doesn’t count the item that’s in its hand so if we give the El a shovel and then we throw two shovels on the ground it will only grab one of the shovels it will not grab both before going back to us now once the LA has ran

Out of available items to grab or its inventory is full it’ll go back to the player and it’ll deposit all of those items individually but the great thing about aays is they don’t just have to deliver items to the player they can also deliver them to Redstone through a

Note block so to have an LA deliver items to a note block we need to tune the LA to that note block we’re going to start by placing down a note block and right clicking on it what’s going to happen when it plays a note if the LA is

Within 16 blocks of the note block then for the next 30 seconds they’re going to deliver any items they find to this note block we have aays with both roses and red tulips if we just click on this a few times to make sure both those delays

Are linked let’s run over here and break a few of these red tulips while we have those 30 seconds and we’ll also break a few of these roses the LA are not going to deliver either of these items to us in fact they’re going to deliver them to

This note block that they have already and that’s because the LA is now view this as what they should be directing items towards now alls will bring items to note blocks if they hear a sound from them but what if you have an laay that’s

Going to a note block you don’t want it to well that’s where wool comes in just like with skull we can use wool blocks to break noises so because of that by using this line of wool blocks the delay will only hear this if it’s in a Direction that’s uninterrupted but if we

Surround this much more fully in wool and hit this you can see it has to be at the perfect angle for that LA to reach the signal just remember that wool blocks are your way to soundproof against the LA hearing the wrong signal now some designs are definitely better

Than others in terms of laay item catchers like this so how do you build the perfect laay item catcher this design should work 99% of the time and these alls will never have to throw in their items twice we’re going to need a water bucket a hopper a note block two

Observers eight trap doors and a block of any type start by digging out a 3X3 area then in the center of that area digging down two more blocks and placing two observers facing downwards then we’ll just temporarily dig down here and flip one of these to go the opposite

Direction that way this is always turning on and off place a note block in the very center here and we’re going to place a temporary block lock on top of it now we’re going to surround this in Birch trap doors or actually trap doors

Of any type you want and on top of that we’re going to put a full block you also want to put trap doors on top of this block as well and have them be all around the sides then place a water bucket in the corner break this block

Right here and put a hopper there leading into more Hoppers or a chest or whatever you want and this way with one note block one hopper and just a few trap doors this almost speaker like looking device is the perfect item catcher for the LA and this is

Constantly turning on and off although we can’t hear it cuz our sounds are down if we have a bunch of La around here and we get them all to be linked to this note block and something really amazing will happen if we go through this Forest

Cutting down all the logs so the LA can grab them there they’re going to deliver them instantly and perfectly over here to the water catcher as you can see all the items are just funneled into the one hopper which obviously makes it eight times cheaper than any other design as

You can see the first time the LA throw any item all those items end up perfectly in the hopper I’ve just thrown a whole bunch of items all around here and as you can see the LA are just going to grab those they press themselves up against the trap doors throw those items

And the items are always thrown and end up exactly where we need them which is in this item Hopper so this is how to build the perfect laay item collector in Minecraft now ‘s are flying mobs going throughout the Minecraft world they can be very easily lost or defeated by

Accident so here’s some tricks to make sure that all your laser in Minecraft are safe although they will try and follow you if you have an item in your hand you can also make sure that they’ll follow you by right clicking on them or using the lead on these mobs keeping

Your laay sort of like some fun glowing balloons on these strings here and that can actually be a really fun and effective way of keeping a laay close to you especially if you’re not traveling very much now another really important use of the lead is if you’re on a

Multiplayer scenario or if you just want to keep your lays tamed to you but not following you with that in their hand you can just keep them with the lead attached to a set location this can also be really useful for Farms as you could

See here we could just have a radius all around this fence post where that La can pick up items and then deliver them and so because of that there’s no risk of them flying away and getting lost as just like bees in Minecraft it is unfortunately kind of a common glitch

For LS to get lost now if an laay has an item in its hand it’s actually impossible to hit that LA with a sword as friendly fire is not enabled and that’s a really good effect as obviously it stops us from by accidentally hurting the LA however a different mob or player

Could hit that La what’s great though is the laay does not die very easily because it actually regenerates its Health the LA will regenerate its Health with two hearts per second which is incredibly quick and so because of that if your leg gets hurt or it gets stuck

Or starts suffocating as long as it doesn’t fully die it’ll regenerate its Health incredibly quickly and R will be right back to normal the one thing is though the LA has nothing in its AI that stops IT from falling right into lava and so because of that if there’s items

That the LA needs to pick up that do just happen to be around lava it will be totally willing to fly right through it and if it gets stuck in the lava like it is right now unfortunately that laay just died and so this is one of the only

Ways that it is really easy to lose an laay so be really careful to never bring aay into The Nether unless you have a guaranteed safe tunnel that you’re just transporting them through but let’s let’s move on to the best uses of the LA we can use this as a fullon item sorter

Now I actually have a full tutorial on how to make an laay item Sorter and integrate that into your sorting system now here’s an example of it somewhat in action more or less these note blocks are constantly rung giving all these lays a signal and you can see these are

Actually working as an unstackable item sorder then just like all the other items these items that are unstackable are going to go through our entire system and if we go down here into the actual storage you can see that in some of these for instance here it picked up

The mangrove boat we can use this mob literally just captured in a mine cart having it in the same block as a trapo right above a hopper and really easily connected with that Redstone it gives us a system to sort those items but let’s move on from item sords to my all-time

Favorite use for the laay and that is what I like to call using alls as an item collecting Army so for an example right here let’s give this aay an apple let’s give this one a stick and then let’s give this one a birch sapling and

This one an oak sapling more or less what happens when we give all the LA these items is we can go through this forest with our super efficient Axe and all we really care about is the logs that we’re collecting here but then those aays are going to go behind us and

Also pick up all the drops from the tree leaves so we don’t have to go back here worrying about those sapling sticks or Apples because whenever we start cutting down either the Birch or the oak tree since we have sapling collection for both we’re going to really efficiently

Get those items into our inventory a really easy food and Supply Farm in early game Minecraft is a chicken farm but the LA can actually make this a lot easier if we get a few La maybe two and give them an egg each they can go up to

That farm and get those eggs and deliver them back to us whenever we need them another way of doing this as well if you don’t always want a lay checking on you to give you eggs is to get our two lays on leads and attach them to this corner

Fence that way they can grab all the eggs and inside of there but they’re only going to deliver the eggs that they grab to us when we get close if you ever want to collect a bunch of goat horns laay are also really useful for this

There’s a lot of types of goat horns but the LA will pick up any type as long as it has one in its hand then what’ll happen is that La will go across our farm looking for those goat horns and when it finds them it can deliver them

Either to a chest or to us alls are perfect for another New Mob and that’s the sniffer if we give an aay torch flow seeds and we also give them pitcher ODS then have those alls be in your sniffer Farm it’s perfect and so when the sniffers do occasionally discover either

Of these items with the power of the LA we can get these items really easily traveling out to the ocean with our La here they’re going to help us a lot with all this kelp so we’re going to put a piece of kelp in each one of these LA’s

Hands if we start swimming around underwater and breaking as much kelp as possible when we come back to the surface you’ll see what’s happening those laay are waiting at the surface for any kelp to come up and once it has they’re going to grab that kelp and

Bring it over to us and this effect can also be used on the seagrass if you have shears or even if you want to set up a ton of alls you could do this when collecting Coral fans standard coral and coral blocks at The Reef here we have

Some La set up with potatoes wheat wheat seeds and sugar cane and that’s because with any type of crop farming at least with any type that you’re manually harvesting it can be really difficult to grab all of those the first time you go through so we’re going to try and grab

As many as we can but there’s always going to be some on the side and it can double the amount of time it takes if you have to go back through just picking up those stragglers and so because of this with the LA’s help we can actually

Use them to get rid of all those little items on the side in any situation where you have to fight mobs and their drops are going to end up on the ground for you to collect this can be really useful we can kill these creepers and then if

We don’t end up grabbing all their gunpowder or if it gets lost somewhere those Els are going to pick that up for us and bring it to us and so as we fight our way through these mobs we don’t have to worry too much about anything other

Than killing them what’s good is that because of their High regeneration rate it actually doesn’t matter too much if they do end up getting hit once or twice campfires are one of my favorite items in Minecraft the one problem is is they’re not really automatic at all but

We can use these with the LA to be at least a little bit more efficient so to start you want to place a trapo on top of them now the way that this works is we’re going to place items on these campfires and after they’ve been on here

For 30 seconds they’ll pop off then one La is going to get a cooked pork chop and the other La will get a cooked baked potato so when those cooked meats start finishing the LA is going to go over to all of those and grab them and not get

Hurt at all from the fire so this La has a totem of undying in its hand and what’ll happen is we’re going to ignite this TNT indirectly so it’s not attributed to us and when that La dies you’re actually going to see it literally right there just use the totem

Of undying and actually that was insane just to see that delay firework of that rejuvenated delay anyway that’s everything about one of the Minecraft players best friends the LA this mob is incredibly useful and I hope you enjoyed this video if you did make sure to press
