Hey guys ifto here and today i’ll be showing you how to earn the caves and cliffs achievement in minecraft named after the update it was added in the achievement requires you to fall from the top of the world to the bottom and importantly you must survive the four To get the achievement you need to fall a vertical distance of greater than 379 blocks so jumping from the new build height of y 320 down to at least y minus 60 will do the trick this can be done relatively easily albeit there is a risk of messing it up And falling to your certain death but don’t let that distract you by mining down two adjacent blocks until you reach bedrock in the interest of not burning in lava or falling into a deep cave it’s better to straddle the two blocks to stop yourself from falling hopefully though you’ll reach the Bedrock level without encountering any obstacles it’s a good idea to do this somewhere that isn’t too high to begin with as it would take much longer so don’t start at the top of a mountain once you reach the bedrock layer make sure to check that you’re standing at y minus 61 or lower Now place a bucket of water in one of the two blocks and begin to pillar back up the other if you’re any higher than this you won’t ball the required number of blocks as the fall is measured from the build height to the water which is now at y Minus 60 rather than the bedrock layer which is at y minus 61. if you find that you encounter bedrock higher than minus y61 unfortunately this is going to cause a problem your best bet will be to mine nearby to find where the bedrock is deep enough And then try it again this time aiming for that deeper bedrock instead you’ll need a lot of blocks to reach the build height so use something you have a lot of if you plan on removing the pillar afterwards it’s best to use either sand or gravel once you’re in the open you’ll See why later this will take a while but don’t get complacent as if you fall now you’ll almost certainly die probably best to not even be touching your movement keys or analog sticks on bedrock just keep jumping and placing the blocks once you reach the limit very carefully Step off the block and fall down into the water if you successfully land in the water you’ll receive the achievement if you really wanted to you could use a potion of slow falling when making the jump to minimize the risk of missing the water but where’s the fun in that Once you’ve landed in the water pillar back up to the surface now if you want to remove the pillar assuming you made it out of sand or gravel place a torch two blocks below where the sand or gravel starts and then mine the supporting block the sand or gravel will then fall and Break on the torch i hope you found this video helpful if you’re also interested in learning how to turn off ball damage be sure to watch my tutorial on how to do exactly that next for more minecraft videos like this one do consider subscribing and thanks for watching You Video Information

One of Minecrafts newest achievements, the Caves & Cliffs achievement requires you to fall more than 379 blocks and live! Named after the update in which it was added (1.18) the achievement isn’t as tough as it sounds, but only if you know what you’re doing, as one mistake, and you’ll plumit to a painful death.
