I’m on a quest to design an automatic farm to get every item in the game of Minecraft hello there Ray here and for the last 15 years I’ve designed the craziest machines that can Farm beacons to ancient debris and everything in between but 6 years ago my previous Automatic mob head Farm broke which meant they were no longer check marked on my farm everything document and I’m currently 95% of the way to completing it so if I want to get these mob heads check marked off of the spreadsheet again not to mention all the cool things You can do with them I’m going to have to design a new automatic head farm so let’s design a new one starting from scratch at first glance it seems pretty simple we just need to have a mob that will drop his head and a charge creeper then when we ignite the charge creeper With some flint and steel it will explode killing the nearby mob and dropping its head but before we get a charge creeper we need to get a creeper so I made a small dark room where Hostile Mobs like creepers can spawn in but with the ceiling made out of trap Doors there’s not quite enough room for bigger Hostile Mobs like zombies and skeletons to spawn in this area but short mobs like creepers and spiders could but by placing down some carpets the spiders won’t spawn in because they will need to make sure that they are not Inside of any blocks and as you can see the spider is inside this carpet so what we end up with is a spot where only creepers can spawn in so now we have our creepers but we just need to have our mob which the creeper will kill if it Kills zombies they’ll give us the zombie head but we can also have it kill skeletons to get the skeleton skulls and we can also have creepers kill other creepers to get the creeper head now we could also get Wither Skeleton skulls by blowing them up with charge creepers but It’s much easier to get these heads from a Wither Skull farm so not only will we need a source of creepers we’ll also need a source of skeletons and zombies so I made another dark room where zombies can spawn in skeletons as well as creepers we can also get spiders and The occasional witches and to save some space on top of the creeper Farms I put in the general mob farm since we need one creeper for every mob that we blow up I put in a second layer to spaw in creepers so now that we have the three Different mobs that we want as well as a couple extra ones we now need to gather them all up and get them in control so we can actually do something with them so for the creeper Farm we need to get all these creepers off of this large Spawning platform and into a single area so first I’m scaring them off of this platform with a cat in the very center stuck in a mine cart any creepers that see this cat will now try to get away from it it just happens to be that there Is these really far away Corners that the creepers think that they can hide in in order to escape the cat but they never quite make it there because they end up hitting this trapo and falling down downwards this is where we have a big area of flowing water so anything That falls in here will all get moved to one side then once it ends up on this side we’re going to bring the two edges all the way to a center point now we have all the creepers in one location we can do the same for the creepers Skeletons zombies as well as the spiders and witches that will spawn in this dark room here instead of scaring them away we’ll just wash them away with some water that is Flowing outwards that is on a clock and the water is being released every so often using this Hopper clock then when the water washes it will drop them down into another big area with flowing water pushing them all One Direction once again we are pushing them from either side so they all end up here in the center point now we have our zombies creepers and skeletons in one Location but now we have our first problem we have all these Hostile Mobs but they’re hostile so shortly after they come into the world they randomly have a chance to just up and vanish so to stop them from doing this we could just make them stand within 32 blocks of Where we are standing and that way they won’t despawn but who wants to spend all their time standing really close to some mobs our next option is to name them once given it a name tag they will no longer despawn every name tag has to be Placed by the player onto the mob but it’s not quick to get a renewable source of name tags and who wants to sit around right clicking on mobs as they come by but they also won’t despawn if they get picked up inside of a boat or by a mine Cart the nice thing about boats the mobs just have to be kind of close to Edge before they will hop inside for mine carts they have to be moving before the will actually pick up the mob but once inside it’s a lot easier to automatically control a mine cart than It is to control a boat so the creepers from our creeper Farm will get pushed into this trip wire here and this will activate a clock with the trip wire activated it Powers this over here and this Powers a comparator which goes into some repeaters that go in a circle long As there’s something that’s sitting in the trip wire it will continue to make a pulse this pulse is sent along and then it is redirected over here into this dispenser and this is the dispenser that is sending out the mine cart onto the rail and since the mine cart is moving It picks up the creeper inside of it and I did a similar thing for our zombies creepers and skeletons where they are also getting pushed into a single location and they’ll also activate a trip wire which is going over to a different clock which just like the Other one will continue to activate long as there’s something sitting inside of it then it will power this dispenser which places a mine card on top of the rail and it will start at moving picking up any mob on top of it notice that the spiders cannot go down the same hole Ased rest of the mobs so we don’t have to worry about sorting these mobs away from the mobs that do drop heads so we got them in their mine carts but they’re still not under control we could store them individually on the rails but this Takes up a lot of room and would need some complex logic in order to put them in here as well as retrieve them so instead let’s drop them down a tube where they’re all stacked on top each other and we can easily use gravity to Get them back out but we don’t want to drop them in a hole right away because otherwise we’re going to have to deal with them underneath of the ground so once they get picked up with mine cards we could ship them all the way to the Top using rails but it’s a lot easier just to use some bubble columns once they get pushed inside then it’s a easy trip straight upwards this is also much cheaper as it only costs some water and some blocks to hold them in we can do the same thing with our zombies creepers Skeletons and occasional witches but we have a problem when we have a chicken jockey because when these jockeys go inside of water they will Dismount we end up with this little guy here which can cause a lot of trouble so I went ahead and put in this extra layer of Water so the chickens will get pulled down into it since they are technically Undead mobs riding them they will seek instead of float on top of it once they go through the water this will separate the chickens from the zombies and once they’re like this we can easily control Them so all Undead mobs will sink down into the water like the zombies and skeletons where the creepers won’t sink down into it so I made an extra little hole for them where they can come along and get pushed here to the center and eventually push each other downwards Since we need to ignite a creeper for every mob head we’ll continue to keep the creepers separate from the other Hostile Mobs we’re going to send them up quite high so we can stack enough of them so that we don’t have to end up storing them underground so once they’ve Reach the top we’re going to move them over and then we’re going to drop them back down again so they’re all stacked on top each other of course we don’t want them to freef fall and hit the ground and die so instead we’re having them get aligned by pushing them up Against some honey and that way whenever they fall downwards they’ll clip against each of these and slowly descend it will only take a small amount of damage by time they stop besides the honey we also have chest in here which are the same WID as honey blocks and stop the mine Carts from getting pushed away from the honey instead of chest you could use like dragon eggs cakes or more honey blocks whichever is the easiest for you I also made these tubes out of glass just so we can easily see what’s going on but you can use whatever blocks you Want at the top here we have a lightning rod as well as on the mob farm this is to stop lightning from damaging our mobs and mine carts up here where the mobs get pushed over is also where the player will AFK this this way mobs can spawn Inside the dark rooms both of the mob Farms are set inside of a building that is just above the water in an ocean with no other land nearby this way the mobs will only spawn inside and they won’t spawn on the land or in any caves and When AFK to spawn in the mobs for this Farm here you’ll be up high enough so that drowns won’t be able to spawn in the water either on one side we only have creepers and on the other side we have creepers skeletons and zombies as well as occasional witch they’re all Stacked up nice nicely easy for us to control now is when things get difficult because if you just ignite a normal creeper and it blows up another mob it’s not going to drop a mob skull it has to be a charge creeper in order for this to Work to have a normal creeper turn into a charge creeper lightning will have to strike nearby now lightning comes from a thunderstorm and a thunderstorm only occurs when the game is trying to make it rain while also separately trying to make a thunderstorm so first it decides On a future time for it to rain between half a day and 7 and 1/2 Minecraft days it will also set a future time for a thunderstorm to occur using the same time range and if it just happens to be that both these times overlap each other Then it will not only be raining but it’ll also be a thunderstorm so even though thunderstorms can be between 3 minutes and 13 minutes because of the Rarity of the overlap an average thunderstorm is only a little over 5 minutes what makes them even more rare is the time between thunderstorms on Average you’re only going to see one every 9 in real life hours so we need to harm peress as many lightning strikes as possible before the storm ends luckily with the introduction of lightning rods we can now pull any lightning that would have struck within 128 blocks around This but then get redirected to it and if you have the channel enchantment onto a Trent this will cause lightning to strike anything that you hit with it but also works when hitting a lightning rod so if the channeling Trident is constantly falling onto the rod it will constantly summon in lightning and Anything that gets within range of it will start taking lightning damage but this also means that any creepers nearby it will also be converted into charge creepers so we need to store our creeper for potentially hours until a thunderstorm occurs then we’ll want to move our creeper close in and then Activate it so that we can get a charge creeper but we don’t want the creeper to stick around too long because then it could die from all the damage so I have the lightning rod here with the Trident that has channeling on it over top of it and it’s being activated very slowly With this clock right here we have to keep the Trident constantly moving otherwise it will despawn and this clock continues to pulse even when there is no thunderstorm but once a thunderstorm does occur then the lightning rod when get hit by a trident will produce a redstone signal this Redstone signal Will go over to this clock and this is a slow fade clock which I use to let us know that there is a thunderstorm and lightning strikes can hurt things up to three blocks away as well as a few blocks underneath of it yet the lightning can actually damage as well as Convert things quite high up so that Rod way down there can actually convert the creepers way up here these tubes are tall enough to contain enough mobs to last a average thunderstorm and since we have all our creepers stacked up we can easily drop them out like a Pez Dispenser all they have is a gate in here and the gate just opens up for a brief moment dropping them one at a time where they will sit on top of this slab here close enough to the lightning so that when they get hit they will be converted into a charge creeper plus Their mine carts also broken down into an item and it’s being picked up by this Hopper underneath now after the mine carts get picked up we then put them in some droppers and then we drop them out of this side over here and then we time the dropping between the lightning Strike and the exploding creeper so they don’t get destroyed they’ll then get picked up by these hoppers down here we do this for both sides and we’ll reuse them in the system the system that drops out the mine carts is also attached to the same Redstone clock as down below And throughout the Redstone and the build we have plenty of light to prevent the m from spawning anywhere else besides where we want them to so we don’t need an activator rail in order to eject the mobs and we also don’t need like a cactus or lava to break down the Mine cart we do this both for the creepers as well as the other mobs both of them are just barely within range of the lightning then once struck they get immediately put outside of the area where the lightning will damage them plus they also get immediately placed in Water extinguishing any fire we do have to close the gate before dismounting the mob otherwise the mob might find the exact same location where it’s standing as a place to Dismount so by closing the gate it doesn’t think it can land here and instead we’ll look for the next best Place which is over here the way we’re activating these gates to let the mobs fall down is through some Redstone that actually traces its way back to the original clock so if this part of the Redstone detects that there is a thunderstorm then this clock pulse is Allowed to go up this Redstone ladder and it comes all the way over here to this piston which activates and will power these two Gates now while the machine checks for thunderstorms make sure to check that YouTube hasn’t unsubscribed you so now that we have our charge creeper and we also have our Other mob we just need to ignite the charge creeper nearby the other one and have it kill it so it drops a hit getting both sets of mobs by each other isn’t too difficult so after we kick both of them into the water they get pushed along these water paths and then They both get dropped down into different tubes now comes the tricky part igniting the creeper this is this is because dispensers with Flint steel cannot actually ignite a creeper so you might think that we might have to have our player nearby just right clicking with his flint and steel igniting any Creepers that come in front of them but we only need to get the creeper to be mad and explode in order for it to drop ahead this can be pretty dangerous for players in survival and the player will slowly take damage and eventually die but creepers can get mad at other mobs Such as if a skeleton would shoot a creeper then the creeper would come back and blow up on the skeleton and this is this is exactly what I do I first get this skeleton to be constantly shooting arrows because he’s trying to hit this Iron Golem in the distance and Because The skeleton sees the Iron Golem as being really far away he’ll try to Arch his arrows quite high in order for them to land perfectly but because he aims a little bit high he just ends up hitting this trapo here and if any arrows would happen to make it through this hole they Would then get pulled by gravity and hit down here and never injured the iron goal the skeleton is also named with a name tag that way it doesn’t despawn I like using dinner bone so you can easily see that it’s working now that the skeleton is constantly shooting then if We introduce one of our charge creepers it’ll get hit by the arrow get mad at the skeleton and try to blow up on the skeleton for the creeper to be close enough to the skeleton to actually ignite we have to push the creeper really close to this edge here so we Have some water over here which pulls the Creeper down out of the tube and then moves it over here we also need the skeleton to be as close as a creeper as possible so we have some water pushing it towards the edge so then when the charge creeper does blow up the other Mob is over here and it’s very close to the creeper so even if the mob has full health and has really good armor it will end up dying from the explosions but now we have the problem that the skeleton’s going to easily take a lot of damage and Eventually die that could have a witch in here but there’s a few problems with witches first of all they take a while to drink their potions to regenerate so the witch would actually die at the pace of this Farm also witches don’t attack iron golems and if we had a witch here We’ have to bring the mob that’s attacking much closer in because witches will only only attack from so far away this would create another problem because whatever mob it’s attacking would be within range of the Creeper explosion and these charge creepers can damage stuff up to 12 blocks away Luckily the Iron Golem is just outside the range so it doesn’t take any damage so we don’t have to actually heal it but we do need to heal the skeleton and that’s exactly what I’m doing here I’m constantly having the skeleton Splash by damage potions since it’s an undead mob It actually gets healed by damage potions rather than healing potions but rather than constantly Brew up these expensive potions I actually have them coming from an infinite source and that is the witch but the witch can actually choose to throw out four different potions if the thing that’s attacking is Too far away it will try to throw a slowness potion on it so I put the snow golem in close enough so that it won’t try to throw slowness but then the witch will try to throw a poison if whatever it attacking has greater than 8 Health But the snow golem naturally has low health so it doesn’t throw any poison but it can also throw weakness if the mob is within three blocks of it so I have my Golem further than three blocks away so it doesn’t throw any weakness potion which means the only potion it Can throw is harming potions so by doing this setup like this I have 100% chance of only getting harming I have the witch inside of a boat so you don’t have to use another name tag now for the witch actually get mad at the Golem the Golem Has to hit the witch first so I have the Golem set up so that he can look through this water and actually see the witch then it will shoot some snowballs which will hit it they don’t actually do any damage to the witch so it doesn’t waste Any time drinking healing potions but it will make it mad where it’ll try to throw potions back at it and this is where it have some flowing water in here the flowing water doesn’t really affect the snow gom’s snowball as it zips right on through but the witch’s potions are Affected by it much more as you can see even though it starts out going really fast and arching right towards the Golem the flowing water quickly grabs hold of it and starts pulling it downwards and with these open Gates on all sides we don’t have to worry about the potion Hitting anything and accidentally killing the snowle and instead it will fall all the way downwards and land on this little platform here close enough to the skeleton to heal it each time this will provide plenty of healing so that it will never die from the explosions can we get a like for every Thrown potion so with the skeleton staying healed and the creeper blowing up the mob beside it we just made ourselves a farm that can automatically get us skeleton skulls creeper heads and zombie heads but there was another mob head that was recently added and that is The pig head so if you blow up a piglin with a charge creeper it will drop a piglin head but bringing a piglin over into the Overworld it doesn’t actually survive because once it’s over here it then will convert into a zombified piglin and zombified piglins when they Are killed by a charge creeper won’t actually drop any head so we have to make sure to kill a piglin and not a zombified version so now we’ll need another farm and it has to be one that can Farm up piglins well luckily I already designed one a a while ago and It works perfectly so now here on the Overworld side once you have filled up your column with creepers then you can hit this switch here and this is going to switch it from using the general mobs like your zombies skeletons and creepers to instead be using the piglins coming Out of the portal so now you’re ready to go over onto the another dimension side and AFK above the farm this way the only mobs that can spawn around the player are the ones directly inside of the farm so with my alter count sitting here you can actually see the piglins are Spawning in and running towards the center so the farm is built above the bedrock in a nether waste biome in this biome we can get the piglins to spawned as well as the zombify piglin the zombie type will then work their way along the edge until they can get over here where They think they’re going to reach this tur leg but instead will fall through this hole and then be out of range of the player and will immediately despawn now when it comes to the piglins they will run away from these Soul torches and then they will end up trying to get Somewhere far but it will fall down into this hole here once down in this hole they will run away from this Soul torch and will run over here to this side they think they can run through this trapo and on over to this platform but they Instead just head up against it and fall through we use some Soul Sand to slow them down and some amethyst to align them perfectly and for now they’re falling down into this hole now on the another side we also have the same type of clock as in the Overworld and this Way we can send in piglins at the same Pace we are sending in char creepers now currently there isn’t a thunderstorm in the Overworld so the farm isn’t technically on and since the players afking over here in the nether Dimension no one’s actually loading the Overworld Side and this is why we let the piglins constantly go through the portal cuz every time they go through the portal they’re actually loading the chunks over here and since they’re loading these chunks that means they’re also loading our detection system which is waiting to detect a thunderstorm so if a Thunderstorm would all of a sudden start in the Overworld even though you’re in the nether Dimension it will actually activate over here and start up the entire system and since the switch was turned off this means when a thunderstorm occurs it’s going to light up this slow fading clock and what this Clock does is it stays on as long as there is a thunderstorm very similar to this clock down here and once it’s lit up it will also activate some observers which will activate this dropper that drops one item through this portal here what that does is the one item will come Through land in the top right here activate this comparator which will pulse this piston upwards toggling this composter this is how we can communicate to the nether side to let us know that there is a thunderstorm so this is what it’ll look like when a thunderstorm starts you’ll see item go through the Portal and activate this system so normally the composter would be down there and this would be powering this dropper over here and since it’s always being powered it won’t be able to drop anything but once we move the composter up and all of a sudden this is no longer Turned on and the clock down below can then send its signal through and will pulse this dropper here sharing off one gold carrot the clock over here also comes around and will power this piston here which has a slime block in front of it the system also activates a trapo in Between these three systems we can actually collect up piglins and then we can drop them all at once and give them a gold item that way they don’t despawn once we send them over into the Overworld then this line pushes them through the portal the piglins will be Coming out of the portal and they’ll get washed down the same route as the other mobs I’m also pushing out the extra piglins with this mine cart which has a boat inside of it then they’ll get dropped down here and they’ll get paired up with the charge creeper which will Blow up and kill at least one of them since one charge creeper can only ever drop one mob head it doesn’t matter how many other piglins a kills or other zombified piglins a kills it will always drop at least one piglin head and because there’s such a short distance Between the portal and where they get blown up there will always be at least one of them that’s still a pigin and once a thunderstorm is complete the fade clock will then fade out since there’s no new signals coming through and then this will activate the dropper which Will send another item through the portal it will automatically turn off this side as well that way you’re not wasting any of your gold items while there’s no thunderstorm going on speaking of the gold items once they do get picked up by the piglins and then The piglins die you can reuse them as they will end up back here in the chest now the piglins that are holding carrots can’t despawn which is great if you’re running this Farm in multiplayer server or normally Hostile Mobs that make it over into the Overworld would immediately despawn if other players are In the Overworld in this case they won’t actually despawn so you can run the farm all you would have to do is fill up the creeper column ahead of time then name taging your creepers so they don’t despawn when they’re ejected from the mine cart or if you have two accounts You can have one of them afking over in the Overworld so the creepers don’t despawn on a multiplayer server while the other players loading the nether vension sending over the piglins now when running the farm to get skeleton zombies and and creeper heads it’s much easier for a single player as well as Multiplayer and the farm can even be infinitely automatic meaning that once you start it up it’ll continue to run indefinitely without the player having to do anything so you would go ahead and AFK this area before a thunderstorm given time for both these tubes completely fill up and then just AFK Until the thunderstorm comes and then when you come back from afking hopefully one occurred and you got some heads already waiting for you alternatively you can fill up these columns full of mobs and then be working in your world as soon as you see there is a thunderstorm hop in the Nether Portal And travel very quickly to this place here and then once you load these chunks the farm will automatically start up and start processing all the mobs the main reason to be here is just so you don’t have to name take the mobs and they also won’t immediately despawn because you’re Nearby and now that you have unlimited sorts of these heads there’s a lot of cool things you can do with them they’re amazing for all sorts of different decorations including on armor stands adding paper to the creeper head produces the creeper charge Banner pattern which makes the creeper pattern That you put on banners and shields moving with the piglin head one will make the ears flap or if you have Redstone powering it also place them on note blocks and then playing them we’ll make each of their noises and whatever head you wear you Can get 50% closer to those type of mobs without them seeing you with the new autoc crafter you can automatically craft up difficult fireworks stars like the creeper shaped ones although this is cheaper to do using the Wither skulls they can even be enchanted with curse of binding and curse of Vanishing in Survival a great way to prank your friends they’re also one of the only blocks that can align stuff exactly half a block in and the pigment head is special from the rest of mob heads where it has a unique size like a CH plant I designed this to work on Java Edition And you can find the World download in the description now see how I made automatic farm for everything from dragons to ancient debris in this playlist here if you appreciate the great dedication join me as a YouTube channel member thank you all for watching I’ll see you guys the next one bye-bye Video Information
