Scripter Magic Eye is a Minecraft mod that gives words power and is now up to date for Minecraft 1.19.3 1.19.4 1.20 and 1.20.1 on quilt 4G and fabric here I’ll go over the basics reveal a few tricks and showcase some spells you can create using the mod swells contain Three main components subjects actions and descriptors subjects specify how a spell chooses its Target for instance the spell I’m holding has a touch Target which means anything within range I can click on and the spell will be cast on it other spells have targets such as yourself Projectiles or even runes you can place on the ground actions specify what happens to a subject when you cast a spell for instance since I’m using a break block spell whatever I’m targeting will be broken some actions only work on specific types of targets and some actions do different Effects depending on the target experiment to find out what does what descriptors can affect spells in different ways for instance the descriptor on this spell changes the color of the spell affecting any runes projectiles or other colored spell effects there are other descriptors that may do things such as strength in a Spell change when it can be cast change what it’s cast on and more each spell action can be affected by multiple descriptors and some descriptors will even combine to produce completely new effects read existing spells and try out new combinations to find out what you can achieve Bells can have multiple sets Of actions and descriptors which affect their targets separated by a special word in the case of this spell Zeus’s might The target will be blown up and have lightning strike it two very powerful effects check out spells like this and compare and contrast other spells to find out how you can combine effects effectively so far I’ve been casting through spellbooks but spells can also be cast through chat this allows you to Test out spells before you write a book or cast spells that you only think you’re going to use once or twice for instance I have a scorpion’s chain which I can use through this book but I can also use it through chat bear in mind the Spells cast this way Will have longer cooldowns and can negatively impact your health here I have some ancient tomes these rare books spawn in loot or drop from bosses and can be used to uncover new spells until you’ve found all the Spells of a tear an ancient tone will reveal unique spells and won’t duplicate any Each tier of tome is increasingly rare and difficult to find but contains increasingly more powerful and unique effects some of the best effects can be found in tier 4 tones called Exquisite tombs these terms contain words that can add strong effects strengthen other effects drastically and even cheapen spells outright in addition villagers Will trade tears down for you usually offering two or three of a lower tier in exchange for a high tier book if you’re having trouble finding loot defeating bosses and trading down tears might be a good way to get books ancient terms are the primary way of discovering new words in a world If you discover an ancient tone with a particularly powerful word you can either keep it to yourself or you can share it with the world around you the Spells and scripter Magic Eye can be difficult to parse unless you compare them one of the easiest ways to compare Spells is to find out what they have in common by looking at the spell effects and then comparing the words contained within for instance I have two spells here which each use projectiles lag bolt and remote ouch by comparing these spells I notice that they have different colors and they have Different effects on cast so they’re not likely the same kind of spell meaning that projectile is probably the only word they have in common if we compare the two spells we do see that there’s only one word in common between the two of them this first word as such We can probably estimate that this is a projectile since both these words already have a descriptor we can tell that the subject is in the first slot in this world since spells are in different orders in each world it’s important to pay attention to where each word lies in The spell since we know this now we can change this repair spell to cast using a projectile the moment it casts on the first valid item in our inventory but if we want to cast it as a projectile we can simply replace the word And there we go identify Scrolls will spawn in regular loot chests and can be traded from villagers these are relatively rare but can give you great insight into a spell by simply picking it up in your inventory and right clicking on an existing Spellbook it will reveal details about all the Components of the spell these won’t tell you everything about a spell but will help you find out what certain components mean when they’re less obvious for instance in Healing Hands this identified term has revealed that one of the words strengthens the spell which may not otherwise be obvious Identify Scrolls can be hard to find so you may want to save them for rare or unusual spells as mentioned earlier sometimes it can be hard to parse what a spell does for instance this spell doesn’t obviously do anything whenever it’s cast this is the time to use an identify spell By casting identify on repair we now know more about what it does including that it heals or repairs a Target it targets the inventory it targets the first valid slot in an inventory and it targets us we can combine these to estimate that it’ll Target the first Valid slot for the action in our inventory in this case it’ll probably repair an item we can test this Theory by casting the spell using our new knowledge and see that it does indeed repair items and most importantly experiment if you don’t know what something does it can be Useful to combine it with words you’ve already seen before to try to deduce what’s new about a spell pull words from Individual spells and put them in other ones use chat to test out your new spells before you write books there’s tons of ways you can experiment with in scripter So be sure to try everything and finally write your spells currently the main mode of writing spells in scripter is to write it into a vanilla book and then apply a spellbinder spell books are generally easier to use since you don’t have to type out or paste spells and They have shorter cooldowns than casting through chat next up we have casting lecterns casting lecterns can be used to cast the spell automatically off cooldown these casting lecterns have a lower casting capacity and higher cooldown than players but this can be offset using reagents and other cost reducing components a casting lectern Will always aim at the block or in the Direction behind the book this means that projectiles will always be cast behind the left turn and touch spells will always be cast on the Block directly behind it passing lecterns can also be used with casting crystals these are used to change the effective Self-target spells this is useful for moving items around and applying Buffs to nearby players as well as other things for instance here I have a repair spell a broken diamond pickaxe and a player Focus Crystal I can attune the crystal to myself by right-clicking apply to the lectern and then place the Repair spell within and it will begin casting on me automatically that being said casting crystals only have a range of 16 blocks so if you leave this range or if you add a crystal that targets a block outside of this range it will not work casting crystals can also be used to Target specific blocks for instance I have this casting Crystal targeting this chest if I use this spell which removes an item from an inventory and places it into your own then I can use it to move items from this chest into this chest or from this chest into this chest And now if we check this chest the casting lectern has been moved over casting crystals and spells can be combined like this to automate to great effect worth noting is that coordinate Focus crystals will always focus on the opposite face they’re clicked on for instance if you right click on this block here It will Target the block I’m standing in from the opposite direction of where you clicked crystals can always be cleared by simply placing them into your crafting grid next let’s go over some basic crafting recipes any Spellbook you have can be crafted into a book by combining it with a Mundane leather binder and any regular books you have can be crafted into spell books using a spell book binder remember if there’s no valid spell contained within it still won’t cast anything so be sure to check all your spells before writing your books if you don’t Want people to know about your books you can always obfuscate them using a bit of glow ink simply craft the two together and the words on the pages will be obscured be careful this also prevents it from being crafted back into a regular book so you can never recover the contents Once you’ve done this casting electrons can be crafted using slabs a bookshelf and some purple wool leather binders can be crafted using leather string and sticks and Spellbook binders can be crafted using leather purple wool gold and string next up we have some useful default spells break block is a useful Spell in case you ever forget your pickaxe it’s good for mining basic blocks like sand and wood another useful default spell is heel self this is a tier one spell that you can find out in the world if you ever hurt yourself out of combat and have Time to heal heal self can be a great utility because all it costs is time lastly we have train bullet this is another default Tier 1 spell that I find useful this spell can be used to teleport yourself wherever you’re looking using a projectile it can be handy for getting In and out of tight spots and down into places like Ravines be careful though you might get yourself somewhere where you can’t get back out here are some spells that might not be as obviously useful but can teach you a lot about the way that spells work Zeus’s might a Spell I mentioned earlier is a great example of combining two effects into one spell a cheap trick is a rare tier 4 spell which does not appear to do much but actually contains one of the most powerful components in the game this well contains a descriptor which flatly Halves all costs without any drawback if you can try to find this spell in your world and one last spell that’s useful for learning the mod is Phantom Thief this is a deceptively complex spell which can be used to teach inventory targeting and help you start to automate Your Bass one spell that I like is called pocket smelter this can be used to smell items in a chest and is great to use with automation another useful spell I’m fond of does require you to get very late into the game but comes in handy quite often it’s a simple spell That just breaks blocks far away from you and that’s it now it’s time to get into the nitty-gritty customization this mod wasn’t just made in a vacuum it was also made to be used with mod packs and other mods so I added a bunch of customization to match every single tone Can be customized with data packs you can disable default tones add new terms customize the names and authors of existing times and disable components outright by removing any terms that mention them data packs also allow the customization of reagent components if you want to make a certain item work as fuel for a Spell just add it as a reagent and add it to some spells so it can be found and lastly the mods config allows you to configure spell cost limits for example you can make the limit on spell 0 for every casting type requiring your players to use reagents to cast any kind Of spell this lets you balance the Spells and everything else in the mod to your liking that being said in spite of all of this scripter is nowhere near done there’s plenty I want to add to the mod such as more words to add better automation support more combat spells Magical crafting recipes as well as new casting modes like magic circles casting tools permanent magical enchantments one time use Scrolls and all kinds of other things and while I’m at it I would love to make the mod more customizable by adding intermod compatibility allowing you to customize individual Spell components allow custom lexicon Generation and more if you have a suggestion for scripter don’t hesitate to let me know leave a comment Down Below open an issue in the
