Hi this is a video on how to use downloaded skins in minecraft windows 10 edition there’s a couple rules and quirks that can make this a little confusing so hopefully this video helps you out the first step is to enter your dressing room and from here you may have multiple characters already um If you try to use a character slot that has a character that was created using the integrated minecraft character creator this will not work you cannot apply a skin to one of these characters so i recommend using a blank slot or navigating to any one of the characters that you don’t mind losing And deleting that so let’s delete plankton yes i would like to delete and now we have a fresh blank slot from here you want to select the blank slot and you need to choose classic skin this will apply your skin to a basic body if you choose this option it will not work So make sure you choose classic skin and then press create classic skin now i had previously loaded plankton so he is here this may be empty or maybe it would be um you know a blank slot looking icon i really don’t know but you want to choose whatever is under owned skins And then from there you need to choose this button choose new skin that brings me to a windows file browser which goes to my default downloads folder which is where i have all of my skins saved from the internet so i have mario and plankton So just so we can see the change let’s pick mario open and then it asks you what type of body you want uh it’s basically just slim or wide i have always picked slim and i’ve never had a problem but wide should be okay too it’s really Up to you so i’m gonna go ahead and pick slim and there he is so now when you back out to your main menu mario is selected as your current character and when you go back even further you can see there he is so that’s pretty much it downloading characters is actually very Easy and you can even modify characters easily as well it’s kind of amazing um i can make another video for that but that really should be another video so maybe that’ll happen thanks for watching Video Information

PLEASE note that i personally have had a small issue with my skins duplicating inside my dressing room, basically when i apply a new custom skin it will copy to more than one slot.
