Tippy top of the morning to you besties this is me Waddles and welcome back to the Minecraft guide more specifically welcome to a gamechanging episode in today’s episode by the end of it we’re going to have built one of the most useful Minecraft farms of all time this Thing is going to get us more profit than I could have ever dreamed of and I’ve dreamed of it all I always felt like a witch Farm is one of those Farms where if you don’t know why you’re missing out big time a witch Farm why Would you want to build one of these things well for simple reasons is very simple every single type of dust that you want in the game well you could get every single type of dust also you could get sticks and spider ey from this thing Not that we really need that but maybe a little bit of potions too depending on the circumstance when the witch is taken out when it comes to the specific type of potions that you might be able to pick up from your brand new fancy witch Farm it’s any of these four potions Right here it’s not my job to be honest but I’m not going to lie to you today I’m not really tooo concerned about the potions instead it’s all of these dusts right here more specifically those two having a farm for Redstone and glowstone oh that’s like a dream come true isn’t It baby back over inside of our world with a clean clean new cave look at it look at it oh you’re too kind with the Applause and everything you really just hold the Applause and maybe like down below the video there’s a like button go ahead and tap that one instead anyways Back inside of our world Believe it or allad I’m a little bit of an overachiever when it comes to of wood for this project we’re going to need Stacks and stacks and stacks of it more specifically I think like about nine stacks of building block stuff is going To be a little bit crazy now I’m going to supplement some of the wood that we’re going to use in our farm today with some sweet beautiful amethy glass so we’re going to have to take a stop and get some of it overachieving oh yeah Yeah that’s right I got a little bit of sidetracked here but I’m an overachiever step number one for building any witch Farm inside of your world whether you’re professional or not is a locate witch Farm oh and throwback to this thing it was but just a mere few episodes ago When we kicked off project Hollow with the bang we went all over the world and found the spider spawner that we hooked up in the last episode for this episode before actually locating that spider spawner though we went out into the world and found a witch hun so if you Don’t know how to do that check out that episode now iron iron iron we’re going to need so much iron I was thinking maybe to just like compactify all the blocks we just crush it down into a solid like stack of blocks and we could break it down once we’re over at the Build site today I’m also bringing quite a bit of bamboo with us as well not necessarily for planks though now so far so good I think inside of that box I have just about every single Supply that I could need Redstone hopefully I have more than enough Redstone for this build The very final thing that we’re going to need to get our hands on is like three sacks maybe four sacks just to be safe so I don’t have to like stop mid build come back here or anything like that so when it comes to raw materials that We’re going to need to gather up to bring over for this build this is is like basically just about it fingers crossed so we don’t have to stop middle of the build and come all the way back over to this base because oh boy it’s a Long way and it’s a slow way to next up sit back and watch this the fastest boy in the Land this shortest bit of time later and voila here we are oldfashioned old home sweet home so I imagine for today’s build I think i’ like to use a little bit of amethyst glass the tinted glass block is by far one of my favorite blocks in all of Minecraft because it’s So cool like using the block you’ll be able to see into like well using the block you’ll be able to see into like whatever you’re trying to see into only problem is inside of this world I have not set up proper amethyst Farm quite yet but I think I remember where I found A geod before let’s see if I can remember this I feel like from over there that’s where the farm is I think we go up the staircase and ah maybe down this hallway maybe yes yes down this hallway all the way over to this thing to find that All oh well that’s a small problem I guess this thing isn’t as close to spawn as I had thought I thought this thing would be queued up and ready for me when I would come back over to it yikes all righty then well that’s a small problem but I’m determined I will Not let anything let me down next up watch this I went the wrong way you can’t make this stuff up hold on inside of Minecraft as it is technically known the swamp Hut is a very interesting structure did you know that when the swamp Hut generates it will always generate with one witch and one black cap but wait there’s more did You know did you know that the swamp Hut has an interesting bounding box and inside of that bounding box only witches will be able to continuously spawn forever no I mean correct me if I’m wrong like yell at me down below or something but this bounding box I Believe it’s different on Minecraft Java and Minecraft Bedrock Edition for Minecraft Java what we’re playing on here today because of the size of the structures bounding box or in more simple terms like spawning box basically we’ll be able to set up a three- layered witch Farm in here that’s right did we Build this thing right only our Sweet Evil friend gerre W be be able to spawn inside of here forever no it’s going to be beautiful so back over here inside of our world at this swamp Hut that we previously found and linked up through phase two of operation Hollow it begins All right so first things first we need to scope out the perimeter there’s one dangerous dangerous bad witch inside of this thing we’re going to need to move up to oh my where have you gone you’ve turned into a pig a shape-shifting demon believe we refer to that as a when too We’ve got a when to go over here here oh you’re going away this witch it has some interesting drop mechanics if the witch is holding a potion in its hand when we take it out then it has an 8.5% chance of dropping guess not enough for me today So our Hut over here we have a little bit of a peculiar situation going up every single Minecraft world is different but if your world has a land piling all the way up encroaching on the house who decides to build a house you like what the heck it makes no sense if You have a land going up on house it’s probably a good idea to start by pushing some of it away and so I think I’m going to have to end up clearing out a little bit more down below this thing but for now this should probably be fine so this witch Farm oh boy I I think I mentioned it earlier on when we kicked off operation Hollow I kind of like announced it and everything like that but it’s been ages it’s been 84 years specifically since I built the witch Farm inside of Minecraft has been so long I think I maybe did it Once in a really really old video do not look that video up no this stop stop it it’s not funny it’s not funny I did it a very long time ago but long story short no matter what I know we need to begin by marking out where this bounding box The spawning platforms are going to be the first platform is the easiest to find one we’re going to find the fences on the front of the Hut and go diagonally out one block on the back we’re to keep it all level so on the exact same layer and line up with that Bottom corner right there now down below this platform which is two blocks tall we need two blocks of space that means the floor this next platform it’s going to sit down directly below it two blocks aesthetically I think I want to try and pull off something different maybe not Cobblestone platforms but for now is fine these are only temporary markers so now we got two Platforms in the finyl one is going to be two blocks above this so that’s one block that’s two blocks boom that third one right there that’ll be our third platform these platforms every single Time we build them today each layer is going to be identical which means once you crack out and figure out one layer all you really need to do is do it again and again so so now it’s time for the real Aesthetics of the build today ah Spruce sapling Spruce sapling I will Need to grow giant spruce tree chop it down and collect the saplings believe it or not I’m I’m actually kind of running out of spruce saplings inside of this world think I have nine left the beautiful thing about this Farm is the fact that there will be no fire anywhere Near it so we don’t need to really worry about it we could build it entirely out of planks now that we have our spawning platforms marked out we could probably move into this thing for the first time and I guess just steal now that the owner is gone I suppose I Inherit the house right that’s how that works but wait what that it gets even better not only all the possessions inside of the house is mine but the house is mine itself as well which means I can flat out demolish it and build something even better it’s my lucky day Now instead of demolishing it all the way right now going too crazy I think I’ll just demolish it partly and begin to start to build the platforms these platforms I think I’m going to build them all the way out of spruce wood today but it doesn’t really matter you Can build your platforms out of anything as long as they’re a spawnable block glass or leaves it’s definitely not going to cut it once I begin to properly fill in the platform Sue I could remove my temporary marker blocks and replace them with whatever I’m trying to keep her long Term so a witch Farm the thing actually gives some pretty insane drops like one of the most powerful farms in the entire game you would think with the insane drops this farm would be like a relatively complex Farm to build but no no no no once you figure out the Bounding box of the witch hut I mean it’s all like really straightforward we’re going to have to do a little bit of circuitry a little bit of redstone today but really this Redstone is like relatively basic it’s so much easier than how it used to be when I built this Farm before in fact the last time I built this Farm I think it was before water logging was even in the game so it must have been like 1.12 or something like that back when I built this Farm the last time ah like the Redstone was relatively complex you would basically Start by building this platform and then back in the day it was like pissed and dispensers and water and a hopper clock Etho clock something like it there was like a whole lot to it so but nowaday nowadays everything has changed the modern era of which Farms I believe it Was pioneered by fast Jazz I’m going to go ahead and drop a link to fast Jazz down in the description and oh my God it’s so cheap to build too so looking at our platforms here we’ve got a platform that is seven blocks wide and I think Maybe like nine or so blocks long maybe a little bit longer it doesn’t matter too much the seven block wide part that’s the most important part for our farm today we’ll be using a little bit of water currents to efficiently and easily move the witches off of these Spawning platforms as soon as they spawn in order to be able to actually pull off our whole witch Farm Contraption with the water and everything and have it flow from one end of the platform to the other we’re going to pick one of the sides of this farm And basically like extend it by one block on every platform all the way down make sure you do this on one of the long sides and not the short sides and now surprisingly it’s already tree Cho and time 3 2 1 you know who it is let’s do This one of the truly beautiful things about this Farm is knowing that we’re going to have water inside of here we can kind of just basically logically build the farm up layer by layer all around the water well if we’re going to have water inside of this Farm logically The Next Step we’re going to need to do is Place some building blocks around the side of this farm so that the water once we spill it inside of it it stays contained within the farm and can move all of the witches over to one side of The platform the old era of witch Farms used Pistons to contain the water ever since water loget was added to the game we could do things way easier though inside of this area right here we’re going to jump on this block and place trap doors on the ground like this it’s Going to be slow and tedious but eventually we get it done after we place all the trap doors we’ll flip them open dump water inside of this and notice how the water stays contained if we were to say maybe flip one of the trap doors open though then the water flows all the Way out that’s going to mean if we could to set up some kind a simple Redstone circuit here wiring all of these trap doors up well if we could crack out some kind of redstone circuit to make that magic happen we’d be an action a little bit more tree chopping Later and three platform cloning later and our witch Farm is looking mighty witch farmy I also seem to have made a friend he jumps around a little bit it moves every once in a while but I think this is my dearest friend in the world my froggy friend I shall name you but One name there’s one name for you and that name is Fred Fred the Frog all right now next up look this is going to show my ignorance with this Farm I didn’t even know how to craft this thing ah there it is that’s a little bit expensive for Trip wire hooks but I mean I guess valid you see that Redstone circuit I was referring to a second ago well using a little bit of trip wire hooks I think we could basically configure up a trap to move the witches off of the platform the the literal second they spawn move them Off the platform the second they spawn drop them into a trench drop them all the way down and look look it’s not my idea this is Fred Fred is very very cruel hey he hates the witch but check this out here’s the thing if we put our Redstone wire down low and then have water rinsed in it’s going to wash everything away all the string all the trip wire everything like that also another thing about trip wire hooks is well once we hang it into a block like let’s say we put it right here that Becomes a nons spawnable block because we have something in the way instead to maximize our spawning space and not lose any of these precious PR blocks and to be able to have the circuit we’re going to go ahead and start by popping our farm off to the side here we’re going to Go ahead and place seven trip wire hooks on one side this back spot right here like even with where the water’s going to be well you can skip that we don’t need any trip wire hooks right there at all instead what’ll do in this back spot Even with a water trench is curve the wall up and end it there and seven trip wire hooks later and we basically got the big setup for this machy part of this floor trip wire hooks on either side all we’re going to need is string But next next up you know how it goes today the next floor let’s do that and a loss it was but at that very moment I had an epiphany my entire build today it’s going to end up looking really really good but with this heavy Usage of logs in here and what I think I want to do with the logs in the next step it might not look so good I’m going to have to swap out some of these stripped logs for maybe some dark oak planks instead they’re cheaper anyways One small design flip up later and we end up looking at a farm that looks something like this from the inside this will be What the witch sees from the outside of the farm what I see is a big blob of ugly planks very very messy Right now I don’t like it right now at this point in the farm today I’m going to take a quick second to go ahead and start building even more of the outside walls onto the side of my farm right now how I have the blocks laid out is going To need to look something like that over from the inside the farm that’s going to mean we’re looking at something like this and basically in this step I’m going above all of the trip wire hooks on the side of the farm and building the walls out from the front of the farm all The way over to the back I’m doing this to make sure no light gets into the farm in the future once we want witches to spawn one tiny spur of building later and again we end up with a farm that looks something like this right here From the outside we can no longer see inside of the farm at least from this side over on the back of the farm we’re going to need to catch this thing up a little bit and this right here is unfortunately where my temporary blocks come in you see I thought it would have Been a beautiful idea to be able to see into the farm maybe put like a a tinted glass window right above the water spot right back there but unfortunately I don’t think I’m going to be able to have the tinted glass here today instead what I’ll do is these random temporary blocks Right there they don’t really matter as long as they don’t let light in and then later on maybe in like say a bonus build of an episode or something we’ll come back over and I think swap out any of the spruce planks that we’re going to End up seeing from the outside of the build today with tinted glass so I could see it and like basically watch the farm work I think that’d be really really cool let’s so over on the inside of the farm next up it’s time for string trip wire hooks there’s something that I Don’t really use very often in fact this might be one of the first times I’m using them in survival this first layer right here if I hook that up with string and walk into it we can see that the hooks like kind of Click down and we Hear the noise and all but nothing happens nothing happens yet nothing happens quite yet we’re going to need to take string and basically make a floor of string everywhere inside of this Farm now you might be thinking to yourself wles you said they wire hook will stop Spawn what about the string well that’s where you’re wrong my friend string for whatever reason does not interfere with any spawns inside of this part we can play string in here floating in the air even with the trip wire Hooks and because it’s floating it’s too high for The water and because of string the witch don’t care once you finish hooking up your entire floor every single one of your trip wire hooks on both Sid should drop down so at this point we’re something of basically a genius ourselves with string all over this this Entire floor if we move around it tests it out once we line up with a trip wire hook if the string goes from side to side it’s a little bit hard to see but if it does go from side to side when you stand in between the trip wire hooks They should be flicked out wouldn’t it be a dream if we could say have something spawn in the string right here the string doesn’t matter the witch doesn’t care and then all of a sudden it hits a trip wire hook flicks the trap door down water pours out and oh it’s Beautiful that’d be a dream next up pick us out of your farm doesn’t matter left or right it it literally doesn’t matter at all we’re going to take redstone dust and run it on all of these blocks all the way along the side of the farm after That couple more building blocks in here take Redstone Dust slap it all the way down and watch the magic that happens with redstone dust placed like that if I hit the trip wire and then step off of it the trap doors open but they say open And that’d be a big problem the easy fix to all that though is simply very very simple all we need to do is go over to the back of the farm and invert the circuit to invert the circuit we’ll p pull that corner out place a torch right There and just like that all the trap doors I don’t know if you could hear it but they flicked closed now if I step on that the trap doors open and close as soon as I move off of it that means the whole time I’m standing inside of the String the trap doors are open I’m a witch getting pushed off the platform slowly as soon as I move off of this platform like that the Trap do is close that’s exactly it Lads laddies Legends besties this build today you know how it’s done it’s done in phases And parts like an onion or something layer by layer oh and speaking of layers let’s catch those other ones up oh and uh by the way before you jump your way down off of your farm I highly recommend double cheing all the trip wires string Is so easy to miss and it’ll be so hard to fix later in the pursuit to build the world’s wildest witch farm so far we’re like 90% of the way done it is so close to being finished with a funneling system properly set up to take the Witches as soon as they spawn and move them off of this platform well with all that set up all that I really need to do now is set up a different type of funneling system to say take the witches from this area and push them all the way Over to one spot let say I’m thinking one final solid corner of the park which for me it’s going to be that corner right there but it doesn’t really matter caring about Aesthetics of course we started off with a little bit of better looking blocks down here in the ground This trench right here is going to need to sit two blocks lower than your platform so like platform right there we put the water right there that way the witches can’t like jump back up or anything like that they’re pushed off and then they’re over here now if we Check out the water it flows all the way to this wi right here because of the dimensions of our farm this is actually kind of perfect except on this block right here instead of a solid block we want a staircase that’ll help the witches drop even faster now after that Around this thing we’re going to need to build our walls up all the way and the proper base of this farm for me like where I will never come back in and put glass will be where the dark oak plank star after that I I really wanted tinted Glass all the way off oh don’t remind me I think for now I will do dark oak logs going all the way up to the top of this thing and by the way the top ceiling this top floor over here we’re going to need to eventually put a roof On it too over on the other side of the farm we do the exact same thing we do dark oak logs going all the way up to the top and I strip them aesthetically get set the Pinnacle it’s beautiful The Witches will be happy the final thing They see wow what a beautiful house upgrade that’s what they will think since we’re up here right now we might as well we’ll go ahead and put the ceiling of this F on we’ll go ahead and build this back wall up one more Block Round it out and do solid blocks make Sure these blocks don’t let any light in because if they do the farm won’t work now this next part it’s all up to you and depending on how you’re going to want to end up like using the farm or whatever you might want to consider Coming back in here and on the top of the farm not hanging into the farm or anything like that but on the top of the Farm Place some light sources by placing light sources up here we’re going to cut out all spawns from the top of this Farm Forever including while we AFK at night time say same thing is going to go for the other side of the farm where you didn’t put your Redstone either slab it over or maybe put some like light sources around it so you don’t get spawns on the farm now the area around The farm while you’re going to be using it you’re going to want to run around on the surface a little bit and light it up as well great news the light level it just needs to be higher than zero all over the place around this Farm a little Bit of bad news because we’re in a swamp here you might end up having some slimes one on the surface here to get around that couple Iron Golem traps slap them in and baby it’s beautiful it’s a witch farm and a slime farm too when doing any of your surface Lighting if you can impossible try and do it at night time by doing it at night time you can really like very obviously run around and just see like oh I missed a spot over there I should probably go get that oh whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa You’re breaking the illusion now I know what day I recorded this on stop you know what now that I think about it I didn’t mean to set you a a blaze on fire think what I keep you you see my friend since you’re wearing that outfit I don’t think you’ll burn in the Daytime ha you won’t oh you’re going to be our lucky little guy you live here forever too huh oh my where did you come from which no not so soon I know where you came from all right so at this point in the farm today we almost have our Funnel complete next up right here we’re going to want to go ahead and dig this funnel down at least three blocks you could go more if you want just depends how you want to set up your takeout chamber for this next part of the build we’re going to need a few things and Some of those things get crazy expensive we’re going to start by digging down a couple blocks like we did right there and place a hopper at the very bottom of this thing going into a double chest you’re going to want to have a double chest on this Farm because this thing Will fill up quickly the rates are pretty good next up and it’s despicable I can’t believe I need to make 60 more because I forgot all of them but we’re going to need a rail we’re going to swing back over to this Hopper right here and place a rail down going left to Right like that way so the things that I’m going to put here here in a second no spoiler so I don’t spill out after that aesthetically of course we catch the build up we make sure it looks perfectly beautiful because we won’t be able to in a minute entity cramming over In a different world where I made a mock up of this farm that is so loud and just for a second we’ll turn all that off over at a different world where I made a mock with this Farm I have a bunch of entities sitting on one block right There in fact I have so many entities that as soon as another entity gets added to it that entity is quickly and automatically taken out and because I have a hopper down below this setup right here everything is thrown into this chest right here as soon as that Entity is gone it’s kind of miraculous kind of miraculous but o it’s expensive for this next part we need to clear the inventory out we need as much space as possible we are going to need mine cards we’re going to use mine carts inside of This Farm to take all of the mobs out now great news we built our iron farm so getting these mine carts is not going to be a problem for me how many mine cards do you need specifically that’s going to be 20 4 that’s our magic number 24 Minecarts Total that’s a lot yeah 24 mine carts no joke but trust me trust me it’ll be worth it it’s a one time cost it’ll be here forever now the first mine cart pretty straightforward you look at the rail that you placed you place some mine cart down after that though we try and Just drop a mine cart here it’s not going to work instead we need to get a little bit more specific and look at the rail if we target the rail we can absolutely drop another mine cart here and we can continue doing that till the end of time theoretically now right now I was only able to craft 14 mine carts and fit them inside of my inventory so we’ll start there then we’ll swing back over to the old crafting table and go ahead and make 10 more mine carts to finish it all off very carefully here very very carefully we’ll move over here And drop all of the rest of the mine cards that I have in my inventory on this rails now you need to be careful because once you have all of these things in here you are yourself an entity as well look long story short here with me being an entity myself if I Step on that block right now for whatever reason I’ll take a whole whole lot of damage and it will not be good at this point absolutely no matter what 100% guarantee never jump inside of that Minecart block right there which means that strip log I’m sorry I I can’t get You we’re going to go ahead and finish the farm off like that and then oh I remind it again my sadness my sorrow it is never ending it is Relentless and cold and cruel this should all be tinted glass okay squint your eyes and imagine it as tinted glasses far as your eyes Can see it just hurts I can barely think of it and and imagine how it should actually be but there we go the farm is fully blocked and boxed in which means as soon as I move away from this thing like mob spawning range get away like 24 blocks theoretically witches could be Able to spawn inside of this Farm I guarantee you you can’t see it you just trust me don’t bring it up okay stop it I guarantee it you just trust me that it’s entirely dark inside of that farm which means witches can spawn and could be moved right down over to this chest And taken out then I could walk over here and pick up the loot but but I hate to break it to you if you even know the smallest thing about a Minecraft world then you know there are caves all over the place underground if there are caves Under the ground near your farm that’s more dark spaces there’s a mob spawning cap which means long story short a lot of mobs are going to spawn in the caves and take away from your witch Farm today no bueno oh no this is painful I brought So much bamboo but I didn’t think about the string for the scaffolding we need scaffolding for this Farm oh oh wait time 6 it multiplies by six which means I could easily get to 100 scaffolding for this Farm to finish it off today we need to make an AFK spot about 100 to 110 blocks above the farm directly above it so while I start to set up our AFK platform and get a couple other things in around this Farm I’d like to address today’s comment of the day I truly can’t remember if I ever mentioned this in an Episode after that episode but I think f it out thanks to the help of a comment this small drip leaf plant you get it with shears actually instead of like soaked touch or nothing like that that is so weird like shears is cool but you should totally be able to silk touch it Too right well look at you you made a friend ah I’d love to see you so here’s what I was thinking for my witch Farm we’re not really going to have too much on the ground at least not right now down here I put a ladder on the side of the farm So I can get up and down for today since we have to come back over to this Farm already and do quite a bit of upgrading to it the nether portal will stay sitting over there for today also dead center in the farm we just about I went Ahead and placed about 110 scaffolding the scaffolding goes of course straight up all the way into the air this is the part where my nerves start to go crazy it’s not that I’m afraid of heights or nothing like that it’s afraid the of me plummeting all the way down to the Bottom of the the the the world right there I don’t want to do that oh boy but anyways more importantly for us today as we begin to slowly move away from from the lower parts of the world and get higher and higher wo that’s that’s so Cool looking anyways as we start to move higher and higher away from the lower parts of the world the lower parts of the world become unloaded once they’re unloaded the spawning box of spear around me is basically bumped up it follows me always that’s going to mean As soon as I get to the top of the scaffolding eventually it’s it’s got to be coming up aha here it is as soon as I get to the top of the scaffolding no as soon as I get to the yeah I got to move over very carefully to the side of this You know what I’m going to do it like this I’m going to move over to the side of this scaving right here place a block right there pick this block back up and build a small platform while I’m standing on this small platform all the way above the farm approximately most of The caves down below this thing should be unloaded that’s going to mean as soon as I go back down off of this Farm to check it in a minute I should hopefully if it’s working I have at least a little bit of drops inside of the thing now if You were planning on setting up a witch Outpost to base over at the farm or something like like that where I would recommend you do that is all the way up here in the sky that way when you’re over here using this Farm you’re like walking around crafting things whatever The farm is actually running itself wow though from standing around up here the view is amazing I have 32 render dists that’s what I play with and I can see like a birch Forest dark oak forest is so cool looking big jungle over there too even more Birch forest and then that Way with a cool crazy Rock that’s like back towards spawn actually you know what now that I look at it here this jungle is like relatively small this is really really cool too it’s like a like a small isolated Jungle Island that’s a throwback to season 3 you get like a Bamboo Island over there a little bit more bamboo panda that’s adorable it’s just gosh wow this is such a beautiful view 100% by the end of operation Hollow I think it’s safe to say we’ll be back all right and so the moment of truth it’s time to make This slow climb the this is the very slow crawl all the way down off at the top of this Farm I need an elytra oh boy all right so slowly the moment of truth I didn’t really let it run for that long at all but judging by the Sounds judging by the sounds this beauty is working look at him Redstone a glow stone gunpowder quite a bit and I literally just let that boy run for like I don’t know 3 minutes or something like that it’s really not that long at all ah It would be so beautiful to be able to see into this Farm because of course while you’re moving around on the surface it could theoretically still work like witches could spawn there it’ll probably just be a little bit slower no wow this is not so beautiful Beauty it is going to change everything Inside of our world going forward here Red Zone it’s automatic Sher even for like cake or something it’s automatic all of it it’s beautiful automatic and it’s ours now real quick here the very final thing that I would like to do before we wrap today’s episode is find One of our little friends over here
