Insane World English School – Mind-Blowing Lines!

Hi folks this is Tristan from World English school today I’m doing another uh Minecraft episode surprise surprise uh this is what 225 or something like that I can’t remember it’s 220 something but I can’t believe this is uh something that’s kept my interest so long and that also that

Uh you guys watching have been watching for so long it’s been it’s been really fun um what I’m doing today is I’m going to um go ahead and make some more uh paths in the snow and also in the dirt I think and also I might end up building

Something something but I’m not sure yet we’ll see kind of where where this takes me but yeah to start with I think we’re going to go ahead and grab some sticks and some Cobblestone because that’s the way I like to um do it here I think also you know

What I’m going to bring is a crafting no I I you know what I’m thinking about is like I like to place crafting tables in various locations you know but in this case I’m not sure I also did some uh work yesterday to collect some more wood

Cuz I don’t want to kind of do that in every you know video I it seems kind of tedious you know what I mean so I kind of um did that on my own yesterday but it’s yeah collecting wood has become kind of an issue for me it’s it’s really

Hard work actually um so yeah if anybody wants to help me collect wood be my guest uh let’s see okay so what I’m doing now is I’m just um picking up some shovels here I’m going to go ahead and leave the bees nests um what I’ve been

Doing with that is I I created enough bees nest to fill up two entire uh oh look at this guy what is that snow he was covered in snow I didn’t know snow could fall around this guy um anyway I was I uh collected enough beesness to fill up two entire Groves

Which is uh yeah it was actually kind of impressed that I was able to do that but I enjoyed very much the the work with the bees so yeah it’s like let me see if I can show you here after riding the horses it seems like walking is so slow

You know what I mean even though it’s not that bad but I got used to the horses also I made um if you watch uh yesterday’s video you’ll see me um at the toward the end I went on a tour with a a visitor and uh we went through the

Ice track and that thing is fast it’s a you put a boat on an on an ice track so here’s what I was talking about with the bees this is um this is just a lot of beesness this is over a 100 nests and uh hives so the

Hives are the natural oh no the nests are what the bees made that’s this one right here and then the hives I think I’m correct the hives are these ones right here I think that’s correct you can hear the sound of the bees putting stuff into their nests as well so um

Yeah I I think what I’m going to do today this I’ve been kind of cultivating this area here um I think I’ll be putting more flowers around here as well although it seems like uh the bees have a lot right now look at all this too

This whole Grove here of trees is um filled with uh nests so really pleased with that um yeah so anyway back to what I was saying I’m going to uh today I think what I’m going to do or what I’m going to start with at least is kind of

Getting rid of this raised level of land here this is kind of a tedious job but it’s necessary because I think I’d like to do something I don’t know about a big project but something I want to do something with this land let me get to

The end here and I’ll show you kind of what I what I have in mind you can see how long this takes this is just one row and it’s row after row but it’s it used to be all covered in uh you know different elevations of land so yeah

I’ve done a pretty good job but yeah this is what I’m looking at here this area um this is all going to go here and then this land here is going to be like I said I’m not sure yet exactly but it’s I hope to make it into

Something sort of interesting what what shall I do I don’t know I think what I’m going to do is like what I do a lot of the time which is to play it by ear and um what that means for me at least is uh just kind of see what happens you know

Usually I start with a path or two and then I kind of grow from there and uh that’s usually how I kind of that’s how I do it this game is crazy cuz like you’ll start with nothing and then you’ll come out with just the most create like creative and crazy designs

Like um I was playing with a friend once and we created a hole in the in the earth like in the Cobblestone or in the stone um in my base and it was going to be like I told him uh we we kind of logged off on that day

And uh we meet up like every I don’t know every couple weeks every every uh couple times a few times a month maybe and uh he uh he was like uh you know helping me to dig out that area right and neither of us knew what it would

Become so I just started working on it right and I started carving more and more after our Meetup time and then um surprisingly it turned into a giant room with scaffolding and stuff and it was I don’t know it was one of the craziest builds I’ve I’ve ever done and I call it

My uh Ballroom so um maybe later in the video I can show that to you if you’re interested but yeah it was like I don’t know what I’m trying to say is like this game kind of allows for anything like you’ll start with something like what I’m doing right now seems like mundane

You know a little bit like I don’t know normal I guess typical oh yeah just taking away some dirt but what it can become is that’s what blows me away about this game cuz I know what I could do with this land and it could be it

Could be like the craziest thing that I’ve ever made you know what I mean so and that pyramid too just in front of me there that kind of started the same way like I’ll just start something like and it looks like oh it’ll just be whatever

You know and then it’ll turn into this so This pyramid is the smallest of three and after I made this pyramid I was like oh that wasn’t so hard you you know cuz all you have to do is basically lay dirt you know and then so I did it again and

I built a bigger one and it was quite a bit bigger that’s not visible from here but it’s on the other side of the mountain there and um after that I was like oh well I’ll build one more that’s even bigger cuz I still had a lot of

Dirt you know in my uh in my chests so I built an even bigger one and this one was so big it’s 29 blocks at its bait which means that how many what’s the math behind that right how many blocks of dirt would that take and then not

Only did I do that but I added um three or four layers of glass to the whole thing to give it uh internal lighting especially during uh daylight hours so it’s just like this wild build that started with one little pyramid which is the one here and then it turned into

Three pyramids getting you know incrementally bigger and bigger also this one here I don’t want to take too much time here but I kind of want to show you this um on my birthday which was in uh early December I decided to do this look it says happy birthday and

Then I’ll get up here to show you says happy birthday to me and so I even had a guest on this day somebody joined me and kind of looked around with me it says uh thank you for making this day special and it says happy birthday to me

So I just I left it cuz I was like oh well you know we’re going to mix uh we’re going to mix reality with uh with the game you know what I mean this game is like the most realistic game I guess I’ve ever played you know in terms of

What you can kind of create you know so yeah anyway it’s just a a fun mixture of like just different things you know so let’s see should I start this this is all going to go I was working working on this though so maybe I should I get

Excited sometimes like and then I have a hard time focusing so like sometimes it’s good to get into a mindset you know what I mean like when you’re mining like this you have to kind of think to yourself it seems like an easy thing to do but when you start talking about it

You realize that you know gaming is it actually can be a kind of job I I’ve always gamed in my life but I’ve never taken it like seriously you know what I mean but then I started doing this channel uh gaming on this channel and I

Was like oh well I guess it is kind of kind of work but I don’t think that when I was younger I ever considered that you know so but it’s still like it’s confusing to me recently cuz I’ve i’ I’m still really enjoying I I kind of go to

Sleep thinking about this game I hope that’s healthy because I dream about ideas and I like I even keep a journal in this game now you know what I mean so like at the end of a at the end of a a video I’ll I’ll sometimes write in that

Journal you can see that and it’s I’ve got like probably couple weeks worth of writing now and there so it’s been kind of a wild like experience this game it’s I’ve never seen anything quite like it you know um in terms of uh gaming like what

Exactly you could do with it you know what I mean okay this isn’t the most exciting is it like what I’m doing so I think I might want to change it up I don’t like to stay on one thing too long for these videos cuz I do recognize that

Um people are watching and of course you can probably enjoy this if I do this for even an hour you could probably enjoy it but I like to keep it mixed up cuz um yeah I want to keep you guys entertained too you know so I think I’m going to

Switch it up in just a few minutes here and switch over to something else which which would be now here’s the problem I’m about to try something here this whole area is covered with snow and what I want to kind of do is to get rid of

The snow um and that takes a lot of shoveling and the problem with that is that um the shovels break really quickly and also the um snow accumulates in your inventory really quickly so that’s the one issue I have with that but I need to pick up the snow just so I can

Start making paths so that’s actually the if you saw the name of the video it’s called Uh lines and lines and lines and what I meant by that was um I’m going to be just building Pathways I think to start with and from there I’ll probably uh start looking at

Um I’m going to start looking at uh what I want to create look at all this Cobblestone I’m getting here cobblestone seems like a pretty abundant resource which it is uh however if you’re using it in in excess you know you can actually run out so I’ve

Actually run low on some supplies on some materials uh some blocks that seem like they never run out you know like Cobblestone for example but I’ve actually gotten close to running out so I realize that I have to start mining again to kind of balance out my usage

You know cuz I’m I was using the Cobblestone for um a couple different things but mostly for the skybridge which is I think it’s like 24,000 blocks or something I used which is an incredible number when you think about it um yeah so cuz it’s about 8 9,000

It’s like 8,500 to 9,000 blocks in length and it’s three blocks thick uh Cobblestone blocks thick so that’s you can imagine that’s 816 24 24,000 blocks at that rate so that’s that’s so so crazy I want to say stupid but it’s just I don’t know these

Numbers like I If you play this game long enough you just oh you can also see on the xox Xbox uh gaming bar you can see how many blocks you broke and um I don’t remember how many I’ve broken but I’m sure there are people out there who

Have played longer than me and have broken a lot more but you can get into millions of blocks that you break you know so but when you’re building stuff you don’t really think about it you know what I mean so doesn’t feel like you’re breaking that many but it is nice to

Have those stats you know I remember I used to play uh Zelda I think it was was it the Wii version of Zelda uh and I remember that game showed you how long you’ve been playing and I remember once you get up to like 20 hours you’re like oh my gosh what is

This that I’m doing you know so might as well make it a job at that point you know which is exactly what I did here so now I can focus uh fulltime on this and it’s it’s actually sustainable so that’s nice and I really I really like it I

Really like building a world like this right here this like I said it can be a little bit tedious sometimes but it actually really is rewarding when you when you get to a stopping point so yeah and yesterday I made this path through here so what I’m going to do

Right now what I’m kind of do in just to fill you in on on what I’m up to you can see I’ve backed this all the way up this is now sea level here or river level I should say and um now this goes all the

Way up to here I think I might go ahead and I’m just taking a look here I could take this in if I wanted that’s a lot of um material to be fair and then there’s also this outcropping here I’m going to go and leave that for now and I’m going

To go ahead and focus on this and I’m going to take this into right here and then I think after I do this area here I’m going to start looking at um the creation of pathways through this area and I did bring cobblestone as well as sticks so I can

Create um more uh shovels okay and you can see even picking up soil you can see like how it fills up my inventory fortunately I have a chest to my right just next to the pyramid I don’t like to go all the way back up to the uh very front entrance in

The storage area here because it takes so much time to kind of travel back and forth you know so I kind of have been making this more convenient for myself okay it’s easier to go like 2 by two in a row than it is to go like in a

Line like this cuz then I have to kind of make sure I’m picking up the pieces that I’m dropping here the blocks I mean yeah so I’m going to go ahead and do it this way there’s these like little techniques that you can do just to make

Things a little easier for yourself and I think when you play this game for a long time you can kind of kind of tell what those techniques are you know that’s another thing about this game too I I have to like I’m not promoting I’m not you know sponsored by

This game or anything like that but I have to say like this game is it’s just I found that so much can be done and I’m just like I can’t stop really thinking about it it’s also like I I kind of one thing I I have

A hard time with in this game is that the parts of it that are not intuitive so in other words you have to do research to figure stuff out like in the um sort of Loft area of my front entrance there’s a um there is a uh

Furnace uh what do you call it a lava automatic lava Creator which I which I needed to run my furnaces right to produce the various materials and process ores and things like that um but the problem with that was that it’s not you wouldn’t know that you wouldn’t know

How to make uh lava dispensers if you didn’t look it up so I had to watch that tutorial on YouTube but I think that’s part of the game’s um draw too like you basically have to be social to play the game so it’s kind of gotten me out of my

Shell too cuz you have to basically talk to people and learn from people which I have a lot um on how to do various things so yeah look I did this whole section okay and let’s take a look at my progress you got to kind of step back

And look at things regularly this is looking pretty good yeah this is going to go I think we’re going to go ahead and take this all the way in and then what I’m going to do is I’m going to start um building paths I’m kind of worried about this snow because it’s

Going to be a tedious process of picking it up but it’s going to give me plenty of plenty of snow to work with um you know what I I’m thinking right now too cuz snow is so abundant here why not use snow to build whatever structure that

I’m trying to make what kind of structure do I want is the question you know maybe I could create a maze have you ever have you ever heard of that movie The Shining it’s a horror movie but there’s this part of the movie where there’s a

There’s a maze so I might do that like in that movie it’s a in the movie it’s a hedge maze in other words it’s like made from you know plants that have been planted purposefully in a particular way to create a a maze for people to try to

Navigate let’s go ahead and head in here and separate this from the rest so I know what I’m working with my inventory is going to get full here I um ordered a pizza yesterday I love pizza I’m I’m a real American I uh I grew up with pizza you

Know pizza parties and stuff like that and uh here in Japan actually pizzas can be quite good like they have dominoes here so I can just order it on an app you know and then the pizza comes straight to the place where I live here and uh I really love it now um

I get it like once every couple weeks or maybe a few weeks really delicious stuff you can even ask them to cook it longer for you which I love so I’m still like enjoying the memory of that pizza it was such a good pizza I feel like these

People now know me at this particular Pizza uh dominoes and now they uh make like extra effort on my pizza maybe it’s just my imagination but I hope you guys had a good new New Year I uh I went out to a Sri Lankan restaurant which was really interesting

With a guy who I met at a store and he’s s Lankin and he we became friends real quick he’s a nice guy and yeah we like he speaks um Japanese and some english um but he speaks better Japanese than English so we were like speaking in Japanese at this Sri Lankan restaurant

On New Year’s it was was it oh it was New Year’s Eve that’s right and um yeah it was really really enjoyable I really enjoyed the food I’m familiar with um Indian food and Indian culture a little bit although India is a huge place and there’s a lot of different cultures

There but um yeah I know something about India and Indian people but I never met a Sri Lankan person before so it was really enjoyable Sri Lanka is just a little island off the southern tip of uh India so it’s yeah it’s a different kind of

Culture I don’t know if I can explain it but yeah it was really really an interesting experience so I hope to hang out with him again and the dirt is coming along I got three shovels left it looks like I’m going to need to drop off some materials

Pretty soon also when I when I um mine like this in the snow I try to avoid picking up the snow because you know it’s like uh kind of a burden you know what I mean to pick up the snow the snow you can only hold I think 16 snowballs or something

In one Bunch every material has its own limitations like bows and arrows for example you can only pick up one in a bunch whereas uh dirt or Cobblestone you can pick up 64 but snow balls are about uh well 16 yeah so yeah depends on the

Material okay you can see that I have cleared this whole area which is rather impressive I think this path is going to have to be recut because I really do kind of want to take this out but why don’t we take this step by step here we’ll start

With yeah you know what I’m going in here I got to take out this path I hate to do it but at the same time it doesn’t take much um from the uh shovel to create these paths I can just do it like that see how I did that right click and

It does that I just learned about this um actually this friend who I was talking about earlier he taught me that and then um interestingly um I didn’t know this and it doesn’t really say this online like if you do the research or whatever I wanted to

Know how to keep snow off of your you know property off of your right area and it doesn’t really tell you which is kind of a little bit frustrating you know cuz I really wanted to keep the snow up but apparently if you do this here you can

See like this path here there’s no snow and here next to it there is snow so that and I’m sure snow has fallen since this time right that I carved this path so why they don’t tell you this I don’t know like why nobody’s writing about that but yeah if you’re watching

This video now you know and maybe you knew it before too but I certainly didn’t so I had to test out the theory while it was snowing I laid some of this I did this path building stuff that I’m that I showed you there and it really it

Really worked and I was like oh okay well that’s nice surprised though cuz I didn’t think that there was a way you know except for torches and things like that so now I know that in fact you can quite easily keep the snow off if you’ve got dirt

Around see like right here this is um stone or yeah Stone so what I’ll have to do here is if I’m going to build paths there I have to turn that into dirt in order to do the carving of it you know so that’s the one issue is that you

Really have to have dirt in order to do that so okay this shouldn’t take too long this is the first layer and there’s a second layer under here so yeah yeah I appreciate you guys tuning in I um this world has been going since I think late August which is it’s that’s

A long time but um yeah so it’s been almost I think almost 4 months then uh and uh it’ll be 4 months I guess at the end of this month is that right I’m always bad at months but um yeah it’s been a really enjoyable process I I

Can’t believe like how much you can create and then the world just keeps growing like you don’t have to stop every other game I played like I have to kind of stop playing because there’s a limit to it you know this is the first game I played where um there’s probably

No end to what you can create you know so I’ve really really enjoyed that aspect of it okay I got to think here about my technique and um I got a chest right near here so if I want to replenish my shovel Supply I can do so all

Right and I don’t know if um if I’m going to connect with my friend today or not but if I do uh he might join us in this game and I think he might be trying to do his own his own material too on YouTube we’ll see about that it’s um

It’s not easy to start YouTube If you ever thought about it it’s um I know a lot of people have channels and stuff but and I had a channel too this this channel in fact I had it for a long time doing uh picture books I was reading

Picture books and doing all sorts of educational videos that’s why it’s called um world English school today um The Challenge is of course you know getting people to watch so it’s I really um I think the key if you’re wondering about you know youtubing the key for me

Was just enjoying what I’m doing so like for example this right here this what I’m kind of doing right now I could do this without YouTube pretty easily like cuz I I kind of like it you know and I think that’s probably the key to to doing YouTube successfully

Is that you can do it um that’s our last shovel so and actually our inventory is full too so we’re going to head up here um I think the key is probably um to um that you enjoy it you know what I mean that you’re you’re able to do it time

And time again yeah wow look at all these eggs here that was from yesterday I picked up a bunch of eggs from the uh new chicken farm that I created so let’s put this in here too we’ll put it down here okay and now we’re going to make

Some more um wow I only have 28 sticks I thought I had more than that but that’s enough to make 28 uh well actually only 14 does it take two it does it takes two sticks to make a shovel okay let’s make um let’s make that many for

Now and head back down here this is going to need some torches I don’t generally like to set up torches until I kind of prepare an area cuz sometimes I end up digging into the Earth where the torch is set so oh good we’re right here at the end of this

Layer and this pickaxe has been genius for me it’s been wonderful cuz it’s so efficient it’s got um Unbreaking fortune and efficiency which makes it really easy to use okay um this is our last layer it looks like I’ll start with the stone here this is going to be it and then we

Can start building some Pathways so I’m looking forward to that yeah I was happy um I got a message today from a friend and they said that they like the commentary I on the kids channel here um it’s kids videos If you say U made for

Kids which is what I did what I do with actually all my videos here um even the live streaming um it’s it’s the rule is that you can’t have comments cuz it’s it’s made for kids which is good I think but the problem with that for creators

Is that you can’t get feedback on your work you know on what you’re on what you’re putting up there for videos um so I sometimes wonder you know what I mean like how people want to see things or what people want to see and so um yeah I

Really appreciated this comment I got from this friend who said that um they uh they liked the commentary so that was really really nice to hear actually nice to get that feedback you know you know and that’s something I want would like more of but at the same

Time I’m kind of fearful to get feedback from from strangers you know uh because you know I don’t know what people will say I hope they like it you uh I don’t know how well I like criticism you know what I mean if somebody wrote a critical

Thing okay I’m going to go ahead go ahead and take this out I’m going to do this this is kind of like the last thing I think I might do this one more area and then after that I’m going to start uh looking at paths hopefully I don’t

Have to carve up much of the stone in order to get the path started you know okay and this might need to come in one but let’s go ahead and start with this here okay we’re going to do it this way and I’ll just go back run along here and

Pick it up this shovel is about to break okay okay I’ve probably gone through six or seven shovels at least you Know okay and then we’ll switch to our pickaxe this is looking pretty good um I’m trying to what I’m trying to do is open this up as much as possible what I learned is that when you’re doing a new project you want to make sure and set up

The the scene or the uh environment so that you don’t have to make edits later to the foundation in other words you kind of clear everything out first cuz if you you if you don’t you don’t know what you have to work with you know what

I mean like what area you have to work with so one of the reasons I’m spending all this time doing this is because I want to make sure that I have the uh full space before I began my path carving and when I start the path carving I’m also

Going to think about yeah what kind of structures or even structure I don’t know what it’s going to be yet I want to create okay I think I finished check this out well that took a while didn’t it let’s get rid of this or I could fill

No you know what let’s fill it in shall we so let’s get rid of this snow make sure it’s not two layers deep and then let’s go ahead and do that yeah I think that’s preferable cuz it’s naturally like that okay I think going to back up now here’s

Another question um wow this is good that’s a big area this kind of bothers me to be honest Because now it’s snowing um this kind of bothers me because I think I want symmetry here I really like the Symmetry um but then the problem is this would be the line here oh actually it’s almost perfect I might be able to pull this off

Um also I have this this is already here so I’m wondering let’s get rid of this dird I’m thinking maybe to rid myself of this up until here at least yeah yeah you know what I’m going to do that this is going to I hope it’s not too tedious

But let’s give it a try so let’s start it out with this and then we’ll take out this that post is going to need to come out now it’s floating in the air I don’t know how I feel about that in this game some of the stuff that happens like when

You hit to see how this post is floating you can make things float the physics um are obviously not you know true to real life but I think about the programming aspects and all that and I don’t know what it takes to make a game like this

You know what I mean I know it’s pixelated so it’s not too heavy on um most computers but at the same time it’s like oh good it stops no no I thought it stopped snowing it’s just maybe daylight I guess yeah so I I really don’t know

Like about the physics I don’t want to be overly critical cuz I don’t know anything about game design you know what I mean I feel like some of the things that they chose not to do in this game are not necessarily like bad because it’s kind of what makes uh

Minecraft unique too you know what I mean so okay yeah we’re making progress here this is kind of annoying because I have to switch between the pickaxe and the uh shovel if I want to be efficient um why don’t we get rid of this Stone

First okay I think we can go back to our shovel and we’re about to lose this shovel um once you play the game for a while you start to realize that if you want to be um maximally efficient is that a word if you want to be efficient

To the to the utmost right you uh bring the tools you need and then they break as you work so that you kind of you kind of get used to like the idea of breaking tools so you know like if you bring you know three pickaxes you know how long

They’re going to last kind of and then you kind of just um estimate for you know what kind of materials you’re picking up and then you you can kind of you kind of lose uh spaces in your inventory as you break the pickaxes or whatever tool and then you replace

Whatever’s been lost with the material that you’re mining so it’s actually it’s a little bit complicated to figure out and I’ve had some challenges with that but it’s fun it’s fun to figure that out okay this is what I wanted and now hey you know what I forgot didn’t I

Um so now you’re going to see the Snowballs look at those snowballs these snowballs take up a lot of room in the inventory okay and what we’re going to do is this and you’ll see that snow does not accumulate here which is wonderful okay and let’s see I need

To this is three in width yeah this is oh no this is two what happened here this is three here I guess I made that three um I’m thinking about bringing this in one this is going to take a little bit of work but I think I want

The maximum width of that path to be and I think it’s time to finally do this I’ve been kind of putting this off here so but I’m going to do it right now anyway and you can still see there’s one more layer of dirt when I built this

Wall here I followed the Contour of the earth that was present at the time so in other words like there were a lot of ups and downs recently I’ve been making a lot of effort to like now as you can see to terraform to landscape to to to make

The ground even is what I’m saying and what I did back then was not so much in the terraforming department so now what I’m having to do is kind of like sculpt the Earth as I wish but then the problem is the things that already exist such as

This wall are kind of following the old pattern of the earth of the shape of the of the of the land you know so it’s it can be a bit of a challenge to sort of correct my old not mistakes but kind of like the things that were built long ago

I kind of feel like it’s almost like I don’t know if you guys have ever been to Japan but here in Japan like the roads are um in many cities um they weren’t planned they weren’t like um planned like you think of like a city planning kind of planned um because they

Developed over hundreds or even thousands of years in some cases these uh these cities and villages and they come from Villages and like the city I live in was a kind of fishing Village a long time ago nowadays it’s um a commuter town for Tokyo I’m close to

Tokyo but um long ago it was a fishing Village and so like what people did for planting was they just built it as it was convenient right at the time and it wasn’t like a a city government that planted it was like you know local communities you know and um over time it

Just Bec a mess I mean no insult to any Community that’s like that cuz that that’s actually got a lot of charm but it’s also really complicated to navigate and you’ll see a lot of funny um a lot of funny buildings and stuff in in my city and um yeah just if you’re

Interested look it up it’s called funabashi City and it’s just uh East uh yeah just east of Tokyo that’s right and uh it’s two cities away way really close I can get to Tokyo by bicycle in like in about an hour hour and a half maybe

Takes yeah so but yeah it’s not like um there are some cities in Japan that have been planned like I think saporo in the North in Hokkaido that’s been planned like by you know modern day professional city planners but so many places here in Japan weren’t planned so if you navigate

The streets it kind of looks like my Minecraft world it’s just a a big mess but it’s also really Charming I have to say yeah so it’s very interesting to to think about yeah I’m going to go ahead and I’m getting pretty detailed here but why

He he gave to me today um saying that um you know the commentary on uh I think it was a fishing video I did and he liked the commentary so I was like oh man that’s so nice you know cuz I was like I don’t know what people think cuz I don’t

Get any you know feedback right cuz it’s a made for oh no that’s correct okay I was thinking made a mistake no cuz it’s kid made for kids right so I can’t get the can’t get the uh comments which is really the the biggest uh challenge for

Me is not having comments you know so you can email this channel you can I have my email up on the channel but you know who wants to email a channel you know comments are nice cuz they’re so easy you know yeah but at the same time

I guess I kind of appreciate not having comments cuz then um that adds another element of um I don’t want to call it work but you know what I mean like you got to you want to get back to people probably so I don’t have to think about it so I guess that’s

Good I guess I don’t know cuz I don’t think I don’t have it you know um let’s see yeah what’s been going on here in uh funabashi city um the New Year’s was calm this place is a it’s a commuter town so people just most people travel

Outside of the city to work so it’s mostly just uh families here you know nuclear families moms dads kids kind of family systems here um there’s a lot of businesses and stuff so it’s when it comes to like um New Year’s and stuff there’s not a lot going on um I’m going

To interrupt myself here what shall I do here I kind of wanted this to be flush with the mountain side that I have here so but if I do that the problem is okay you know what I can do is is at least gosh this is getting all snowy

Isn’t it I’m going to go ahead and take this out at least one row yeah let me see if I can do this so uh recently the channel reached uh 100,000 subscribers which which is pretty amazing um and I was able to apply for the uh silver what whatever

It’s called I don’t even know what it’s called Silver award or whatever it’s the the one when you reach 100,000k and um yeah I filled out the the thing um YouTube sends it to you for free which is really just a a nice thing you know um but uh I think that the

Email didn’t go through or the message that I sent the application I don’t think it went through so I don’t know if I’ll be getting that I think I might have to fill that out again all right we are looking good this is hard to see isn’t it

Oh I see what we’re oh no this is not done yet ah if I want to be consistent here this has to go doesn’t it and it looks like we’re going to be picking up snow here along the way ah what a pain but at least this will get done now sometimes I

You guys like I you know you guys who are watching like um because I I know a lot of YouTubers they’ll like put that up on the wall or whatever but I don’t um I don’t generally use a camera so maybe I maybe I would do at least one special episode

Where I did use a uh a a cam a camera to um do my face and whatever during the video instead of just commentary you know uh because I I do want to share that with you guys I wouldn’t have it if it wasn’t for

You yeah cuz in um starting in I don’t know like November October November I started getting a lot of um viewers on on the Minecraft videos and I was like oh wow this is actually interesting I mean I I thought it was interesting but I didn’t know if anybody else would you

Know so I do appreciate the viewership for sure but sometimes I don’t know how to take it was um I was a performer before in music but I never I I never like performed for anybody like in terms of like gaming or whatever so I don’t think of myself as like a professional

Gamer but um I guess I am now I was uh I was talking to some people recently and uh here in Japan and uh they I think think here in Japan it’s um not a very common thing to be a YouTuber there are YouTubers here obviously but I’m sure everywhere in the

World but um here in Japan it’s still pretty rare to see somebody you know making a living off of YouTube and oh yeah that’s right this one guy said um I think he was in you know probably in his 60s or something he was like he’s like I

Didn’t know that there was anybody in in this city where I live that did you YouTube near my station near my train station he said oh now I know there’s somebody who sits around all day and does games I was like yep it’s true there is

Somebody yeah it’s a rare job in Japan for sure I think it’s much more common in the United States in Japan I think parents largely discourage kids from even attempting to get into this field because it’s not uh it’s not considered to be sustain stainable you know what I mean um yeah

That’s pretty interesting it’s I I don’t know about the states cuz I um never really did youtubing in the States but here in Japan anyway it’s um it’s kind of looked down upon I I hate to say it but it’s true this is a this is a hardworking country with No Nonsense

Business practices how you could say it’s true it’s really true I’ve been here for about 9 years now in Japan and that’s a that’s a long time I started a business here too in fact World English school the name of the business but um yeah obviously that didn’t work because

Now I’m doing YouTube but um one of the reasons was because I wasn’t uh I wasn’t as serious as the customers I guess you could say I I was doing uh English and yeah I had I had completely different ways of doing things than than Japanese uh my Japanese clients so it

Was it just didn’t work but I don’t regret it at all I’m happy that I’m kind of happy things didn’t work out cuz I like what I’m doing now and I got a lot of good experiences too with people so okay um here’s the deal I’ve

Got it’s time to head down I’m a little hesitant this is too thick and that’s too thick right so I’m going to take up this dirt here I’m going to replace it with one dirt and then I’m going to go ahead and um start carving my way down

Oh no that’s what I was afraid of I’m going to have to be replacing these Stone pieces with uh dirt it’s kind of a lot of trouble but whatever whatever got to do it I’m going to move that up a little bit like that it’s an odd intersection this but again

Can’t really be helped um let’s go ahead and do this now I’m not a big fan of this kind of work to be honest I find it to be tedious um but surprisingly like I’ve I’ve enjoyed this digging I’ve enjoyed or rather the uh the mining of the you

Know the dirt on the surface layer okay and it looks like we need to head back with um more Cobblestone okay I guess we’ll do these six and then maybe we’ll head back and drop off our stuff it’s got to be dirt because if it’s not then you

Can’t make paths you know what I mean so like that okay now we’ll head back up and here we have it this is what I’ve done thus far this needs to go I can see that going right now and leaving this I think this is going to be a semi-permanent installment this little

Outcropping here um but that other area needs to go so okay let’s go ahead and make that here and let’s go and deposit this into the bin here and we got a lot of dirt that’s mostly what we’re getting I think pretty soon either I need another pyramid or or

Something you know cuz um The dirt’s Becoming uh excessive oh I actually have an oak fence here I was wondering if I should use that here you know for a um torch holder we’ll see how this looks okay and what I’m going to do is I

Got to go make some shovels now cuz I am actually on my last shovel that was actually quite perfect if you were listening before I mentioned that I like to see um how close I can get to sort of like using up materials and filling in

My inventory so that’s kind of what I was doing there okay I’d say what we do here is bring this in I’m going to go ahead and carve all this and this is where the dirt ends it looks like and this is where we’re going so this is going to turn upward

Here like this and this is going to go this way we can go ahead and carve this Earth this dirt here and now we’re going to do some carving with my diamond pickaxe this thing has been beautiful it really carves quickly it’s got efficiency fortune and Unbreaking yep Unbreaking as well so

It’s been uh it’s lasted a long time but I don’t know if I’m going to repair it actually I could if I had a regular pickaxe I think that would maybe fully repair it I’m still not sure exactly how that works on your Anvil you can combine

Two things and then that will um yeah that will allow you to to do that okay now for the dirt uh I don’t have any dirt because I deposited everything so let’s go grab that okay that should be enough plus I’m going to be mining more okay let’s move that into the

Inventory and here we go okay guys I think I’m going to take a break here from talking I I just wanted to kind of start the video with all this commentary and uh but I I don’t think I have anything really more to say um what

I’m I guess maybe what I can say is that um this area here is going to be um what I’m thinking it’s just a thought at this point um obviously I’ve just begun um here let me get up here and see if I can show you what I’m actually shall we go

Up here so we can kind of talk about what I want to do here um I’m not a big planner I’m more spontaneous than anything I used to play um jazz music and I love improvising and in this game like in jazz music I like to just kind

Of take things one step at a time and see what happens that’s generally my technique okay there we go that’s a nice view so you can see the path comes up here I’ve got it uh I finished this up to here yesterday oh this is a nice view

This was the Hub of all the paths here and this is kind of where they all meet and I’ve got a kind of a strange design there that I I quite like um and this goes to the front door of this Temple like building it heads into the snow

Here it heads into the snow here so these two paths this one here and this one here are going to connect maybe I’m going to do that today this path here goes off into the distance here kind of stops at the ice there and I’ve stopped it just beyond

This this turret here um I’ve got some paths interweaving throughout the buildings up on top of the mountain base W those turrets look good don’t they I’m admiring this 1 two 3 4 five six six turrets there’s one over there too I think or maybe two um so what is this

Going to be is my question should I here’s kind of my thought I’m just kind of thinking out loud here but what if I were to create since it’s now all flat right and I was talking about uh City Planning before right so what if I were to

Create a sort of internal grid system but then the problem is that you know I maybe want a building here right but then I also don’t want to hinder the view of the wall or the turrets or the pyramid so I wonder maybe farming I wonder if farming’s a a

Good idea but the problem with farming is that it’s a tundra environment you know it’s an Arctic environment so if I created a farm here it would I don’t know would the plants grow I don’t even know uh here’s another thought this is just this just occurred to me see I have a

Cherry tree over here I could plant I could plant um I could plant cherry trees here what if I snowy snowy cherry trees that could be interesting and the question is like what what distance do I need between each tree to create a cover right I’m probably thinking too much now I think
