INSANELY FAST Quad Mob Farm | Minecraft Bedrock Guide S3 EP36

Hello everybody I’m here with another episode of Bedrock guide and we got something huge to build today because I need a whole lot more of these things in my hand right here and we’re going to make them right there oh yeah this thing is gonna be huge and it is gonna be

Awesome so in case that didn’t tell you enough what we’re gonna be doing is we’re gonna be making some general mob Farms now I recently did a tutorial on making a general mob farm not too long ago it was a pretty basic tutorial but shows you everything you need to do it’s

Laid out really well I highly suggest that you go watch that before you watch this episode or directly after you watch this episode either way is fine but we’re not going to be doing that exactly we’re going to be using all the same things in it but we’re going big we’re

Going huge we’re gonna make four of them work at the same time and these four towers are gonna be taller than the one Tower I made in a tutorial we are going to be getting a ton of drops especially gunpowder so to better explain what I’m

Doing in the layout here in my tutorial you you had a single mob farm that was six layers tall this is the biggest you could really go on a world with the simulation distance set to four so what is simulation distance well that is how far away measured in chunks from you

That the game updates the world and in this case it has to do with mob spawning now here in that tutorial world I can easily show you that simulation distance 4 and MOB spawning because see what happens I’m gonna place this armor stand right here this uh Banner in its hand

And we’re going to use this marker pack to show you exactly how the spawning radius works with a simulation distance for World which is probably what you’re playing the green that area if the players right there where the armor stand is is how far away no mobs can

Spawn they cannot spawn within a 25 block radius of the player the red is how far away mobs can spawn you can see how precisely this thing is engineered to work the green stops right down here meaning starting from here all the way up to the top here here if this thing

Will stop blinking on and off mobs are able to spawn so this whole Tower it’s in the spawning Zone which is what we want and as you can see this is a pretty small area compared to those huge towers that I’m going to build now on the

Bedrock guide Road here I play on a 12 chunk simulation distance which is a 192 block distance but spawning no matter what maxes out at a 128 blocks away from the player so anything Sim 8 or higher this type of farm will actually work on

And because of that I can have a lot more Farms set up but that isn’t all see Bedrock has a rule for spawning called a density cap so to keep things simple every time a mob tries to spawn in the world it checks four chunks or 64 blocks

In each direction to see if that cap is filled if it isn’t filled the mob spawns if it is filled respawn fails and that cap is eight mobs on the surface and 16 mobs under the surface which is simply anything below a solid block so the

Setup we have going on here is a split density cap Farm I separated the corners of each Farm by four chunks so what that means is we can have a total of 32 surface mobs alive at once and 64 cave mobs and by maximizing the number of

Spawn spots we have available and moving the mobs to kill them as fast as possible we end up with one of the fastest mob Farms possible on Bedrock Edition so with the technical stuff out of the way and you guys getting to see a sneak peek of the work that I’ve done

After the fact let’s rewind back in time and get this whole process started now I’ve been busy at work doing basic things on stream if you don’t watch me live stream you have to because you missed so much good stuff planning the community helps me out with things the

Stream helps me out with things as we go and that’s where we decided to put these four big structures and the reason that I’m doing this episode in this way or the the way that we’re doing this episode is I want you guys to see more

Of the process that I’m taking to build something so big is what you see out there where hello there it is as big as what you see out there rather than just doing it as a straight tutorial style like we sometimes do here in the guide episodes

Now first of all we need a lot a whole lot of scaffolding um I’ve calculated how much we need we need to fill up all these double chests basically and um we’ve got a little ways there but we still got a ways to go I got some string

Here I’m gonna go ahead and use some of that to continue with creating the scaffolding there’s a lot of other things I’m going to need as well like a lot of blocks good thing I’ve been mining a lot of diamonds because as you can see I have I have a lot of blocks

I’m probably going to convert all this to the polished version just because it’ll look better if I’m going to use it as some type of like backdrop to the actual structure we put around this thing but that will definitely do the trick I’m also going to need a pretty

Decent amount of this stuff right here so we’re definitely in the material Gathering stages if you need to know how much materials you need for this Farm again you can check that out in the tutorial I do give it real list for that version of the farm I’m just gonna need

A whole lot more than what that version requires now it’s time to get up on it boys lower layer let’s just get some like ground floors down on all of them that way we just have a place to work also the way that this thing is going to

Be laid out in case you guys are kind of wondering already these are gonna be four separate spawning towers and then we’re gonna be positioned somewhere there in the middle and I’ll show you how we’re going to decide where we’re going to position ultimately but um the

Idea here is they’ll be Trident killers in the middle of each one of these buildings or structures and then all of that XP will be making its way out and drops will be making its way out to a central location in which we’re going to be standing to AFK and where our storage

And item sorting and all of that stuff is going to go this setup is going to be absolutely enormous and a fox just felt to his we’ll just pretend like he fell in the water so first things first is we need to figure out where our Trident killers on each

Pad is going to go and then from there set up the tube going up for our mobs to drop down now with the type of trident killers are going to be using here we’re gonna need to be able to let items and XP Escape which is going to mean we’re

Going to have water here which also means that the length of the drop that we’re going to use does not really matter a whole lot so because of that I will probably actually shorten this Tower up a decent amount because we don’t need to drop the mobs far anymore

But before I do any of that I do want to figure out where everything here is going to go and to figure that out first just to get things started out I think I’m going to go ahead and just kind of Mark Off The Square here because we are

Going to put down our Pistons that I don’t have in my inventory and the reason I want to show this part is so you guys can kind of see how the Pistons and I guess the chamber in general here Will work when we’re letting items actually Escape now we’re going to want

Them to escape either on this side or this side so just kind of kind of keep that in mind I guess what we’ll do is we’ll have our Pistons always to the right like this and then we do fill in this area with solid blocks except for actually this one right here

This is where our items are going to escape we’ll set that up here in just a moment now we put a solid block on top of each one of these guys now next we want to have an observer facing away from the solid blocks which that was not

The way to do it I will just jump up here and place it like this you see it is looking outwards I want all of The Observers to do that so now all The Observers are facing out and now we just need something for them to look at so

We’re actually going to start this chain to the left of the little hole that we’ve made and we’re going to do that same on everyone just for that continuity to make sure everything works the same so we’re gonna start with our powered rail right here and then coming

Out from that direction we will have a repeater set to two ticks we’ll have another repeater here set to two ticks and we’ll have a repeater here just left it one tick and what you will see is this will make the round and round type

Motion go but it leaves us a little bit of a gap here for the items to eventually flow out here now we’re gonna oh um I need that water back this is the problem with doing things up high if you have that problem just cover it over a

Couple blocks up with solid blocks and that freezing will not occur I need some water uh we’ll take a couple of tridents and I’m gonna get something to make some trapdoors out of which I did not bring a crafting table there we go crafting table initiated and

Now we have our trap doors so what you will see happen is this we’re going to put a trapdoor right here this will keep baby zombies from getting out so we don’t have to worry about those guys they can just stay in the open position like that now we’re going to want to

Take the water right here and we are going to water log one of these Pistons actually just to make this thing stop I’m gonna take this out really quick since we don’t have a switch for this thing yet uh we’re gonna water log this piston right here which means I do need

To make sure that it is surrounded by blocks if I put a block right there I should now be able to waterlog this no water will get out of the area and if I put this powered rail back down to reactivate the system this is what you’ll see happening and if

I throw a couple tridents in you’ll see the tridents moving around and if I were to drop some items in here what you’ll see is after a short period of time those items will work their way out to the edge here which I will then be able

To drop into more flowing water right here that will lead out and take everything to the center where we’re going to be getting our experience points and going to be getting our items now with that part done and we’re not going to work on the next part down

There yet I just want to kind of figure out the height of this thing so again I don’t think we need to go very tall honestly because we’re not going to be doing any damage to these mobs via drop anyways so really like we could probably just do something like this right here

And then this will be where our spider catcher will come in I’m not going to show building that you want to check out the tutorial for that part because I show it pretty clearly there but we’re going to put our spider catcher system in right here ish I think will work

Um and then it’ll be just a couple layers up and we’ll have our layers of our mob farm going in which I will show you guys that process once we get to that point so let’s take a moment to recognize the fact that I I did the

Bottom down there kind of wrong I centered the the Trident killer on the platform wasn’t supposed to do that I was supposed to build up from the center of the platform to figure out where this goes because this right here this block right here is the center of the farm so

I had a 5×5 platform here I knocked the hole in this side I put some magma blocks there and the whole premise of this thing is we’re gonna have water here pushing mobs over spiders will fall into uh we’ll go into this area and dial the magma blocks everything else will

Fall down but that also means that my mob’s gonna be dropping from about here not from over here so we will have to move that trident killer not a huge deal but I figured I’d give you guys an update in terms of how this thing was

Working and how it’s going yeah here we go so this makes sense so the spiders will push across and go in like right here you’ll see they’ll be the only things to fit into this little area because nothing else can fit in there everything else is going to fall down and it’s

Going to get pushed over and then what will happen is if I could drop down here right now actually if I put a fence right here and a fence right here when I have water over there you’ll see it’ll push mobs in when I have water right

Here you’ll see it’ll push mobs in as well so for me all I got to do is make some water sources over here like so those spiders they’ll push into here no problem there will be water on all of these spots right here as well and then we will need some fence gates

Down right across here one more right there so now you see the flow right the spiders go across through here they go into here they do drown slash burn up really quickly right there their drops will actually flow over flow down and flow back in right here and

Then any mobs or drops that fall into that spot there or this spot here they will flow down into this hole that will be where I tried and killer needs to be moved to so I need to repeat this process three more times I’m gonna go

Take care of that okay I’ve done a slight change of plans just ever so slightly I didn’t do the other areas yet I want to get this first platform in for you guys to show you that and then I’m going to live stream building as much of

This as I can build during a live stream of all of the layers it’s gonna be it’s gonna be kind of crazy but it will be fun to do for sure so also I’m really worried about this water um freezing over but I guess it’ll be fine hopefully maybe possibly

Um so we’re gonna go ahead and we’re going to just build the first layer of this thing together okay now the first layer of this way it’s going to work is this right here that I’m building right now this is going to be the floor this

Is three blocks above where the floor of the five by five or I guess it’s a four by five platform right there is okay and then on this floor there’s going to be some overhanging oh no no no no no I gotta take this fourth block out this fourth block does not

Stay there this third block is the floor so like all of this will get filled in so this is where our platform is going to go and if I remember correctly it goes from this Edge seven blocks in each Direction so one two three four five six

Seven yes and then and then this little like area right here this is the outside wall which does line up with my boxes that I made so I’m Gonna Fill This in all the way around and the way that this thing will work is this whole first

Layer right here will be all scaffolding and then we’re gonna end up putting water above that scaffolding which will allow mobs to spawn with their heads and the water and instantly get pushed to the center now when it comes to the center here there is one special thing we will actually overhang the

Scaffolding by one what that does is makes it so where the mobs get pushed into the center they don’t have any floor to catch on anymore they just instantly fall in they don’t fight the current they don’t stick on the edges like mobs typically do this saves you

From all of that it allows them to just drop right in to the center here so a lot of things have happened I did about 12 hours worth of streams and we built one two three and four of these things and boy did it take a lot of materials

But I did have enough yes I did our material Gathering did work it did do the trick and now we gotta finish up this thing I did all the repetitive part all the way up through so all the stuff that you guys have already seen has all

Been finished but now we have this part to do this is the ceiling the roof the big thing that matters the most at oh gosh can you go away thank you and now we need to put a roof on this thing so we have that is floor level

This is the like next level up and we need to keep Enderman from spawning and the thing about keeping Enderman from spawning is they will not spawn like right now they will spawn inside of this they will now they’ll instantly teleport because their heads will be in water but

They’ll spawn in there even if we go ahead and we put our tinted glass up here they’ll spawn with a head and a glass so we need to prevent Enderman from spawning super simple we just put down some slabs like this bottom half slabs is going to be our roof layer here

And then on top of this we will put our tinted glass and we won’t have to worry about Enderman spawning anymore but on top of that this layer right here will still be a surface spawn layer meaning that we mentioned earlier how you can have eight mobs spawn on the surface

We’ll be able to get those eight mobs on the surface here while our 16 mobs spawn on the nine layers below this all right and now what we’re going to do is we’re gonna add on the tinted glass now tinted glass is the best thing to use up here

Because a it blocks the light from getting into the farm and B you only need one layer of it to do this now you can use other things you can use leaves you can use water those things work as well but you need enough layers to make

The top the surface here have zero light so I think it’s like somewhere around like seven or eight layers of leaves or something like that it’s a it’s a lot so just do yourself a favor go get some tinted glass it’s not that bad to get

Use chunk base if you need to to figure out where to find your amethyst geodes and you’ll have enough tinted glass soon enough also you’ll see here I left the middle exposed mostly because I can there’s no solid blocks down through here so I don’t have to worry about

Enderman spawning and I thought it’d be fun if I ever wanted to to come up here and just be able to like look at the farm oh and also be sure to make this little area right here spawn proof as well we’re just gonna go and put down

Some slabs on top of it and that’ll make it so we don’t have to worry about anything spawning on The Ledges up here we want to spawn proof everything and that can possibly spawn a mob that’s not our actual platforms okay I have some huge news this is a fun change that I’m

Gonna make to my plan and this all comes about from stream this is an idea from somebody in stream this is why you should join my streams because you can actually affect the outcome of my builds I’m very open to ideas that people have so originally we were going to move all

Items in all XP over to here because I do need to AFK in this area right here for the farm to properly work and I was going to build a big storage system below this which would Encompass having a big like islandy type thing right here

In all sorts of stuff but things have changed so what we’re going to do instead and I love love love this idea is we’re actually going to filter the items out of here so we’re gonna take the hello uh we’re gonna actually set up like a little way to have the items come

Out of here and we’re gonna shoot them straight down into the ground and then come up with some type of like underground like base storage type thing that will Center in this area right here but it’ll it’ll do that down at ground level where we’ll build whatever this

Thing is under the ground or we could even build it above ground if we wanted to I don’t know I’m going to think about that part a little bit more but what that’s going to involve is me setting up a little bit of something underneath here to start shooting items downwards

Okay so now we’re gonna deal with these dudes being really loud and obnoxious by going actually down below here I might build myself like a little like temporary platform maybe I’m just going to use water to like get underneath this thing and the reason why I need to get

Down here is because not on this block but on this block right here we need to put ourselves oh wait I need to not have a block there we need that to actually be a hopper so put a block here put a hopper there get rid of that block

And then on that Hopper we’re gonna put a powered rail right there we’re gonna put a hopper mine cart right here we can we can ditch the rail and the reason why is I want to pull all of the items to get cycled around by the

Trident killer I want to pull them all out before they come out we’re going to have the XP actually flow out but this will catch all of our items and then bring it down now where is it going to bring it down well it’s going to bring

It down to this drop right here which means I think I actually need to go down a little bit lower so dropper will face straight down just like this I need to tell this dropper that every time it has something in it that it’s going to shoot

That something out and see that should be simple we’ll put a comparator right here a repeater right here pull some Redstone Dust around like so that makes a clock because apparently there’s item yes there’s that in there and if I connect this right here oh that that

Shot down my rail but now this thing will go off anytime there’s any items in it and I’m wondering if we need this thing to potentially go faster I don’t know we’ll see how it keeps up I have a different circuit I can use if I need to

Make go faster but I’m not going to do that if I don’t need to okay I actually found a great solution I actually use this on a farm a while back we’re gonna face this guy straight down just like this we’re actually going to put a glass

Pane right here which is fine to be surrounded by solid blocks like so and then from there we just need a few like guide blocks to help make sure that everything stays nice and straight and if I go ahead and fill this thing up we should see that all items at least very

Roughly will fall in the exact same spot so let’s uh let’s go down and looks looks like we may need we may need a few more guide blocks oh no okay those must have already been there for when I knocked them now look at that all of them are falling right there

Oh that is perfect that is absolutely perfect so I need to do that times four have some type of temporary area to to catch the items and store them because it’ll be the next episode that we actually build the storage collection system and whatever goes around it but

We need to test rates of this thing first so let’s go ahead and get it working okay next step is to figure out where all of these items are going to drop I guess the best way to do that would be to just kill some of these guys

Get all the items moving around okay turn that off and now we can go down here and here we go so we got our location of where all these items are going to fall to and what I can do is I can I guess we can set a little Hopper right here make

It Point into the back of a chest nope not a chest there but a hopper there and just for some like basic testing purposes we can uh we can see what we get out of this and to make sure everything comes through fine oh hello where is he at

Hey if we take a look there we go all the items are dropping in and doesn’t look like we have any leftover items anywhere so this would be a good temporary setup now I want to know you guys drop me down a comment right now in the comment section below let me know

What you think of this idea what if I have some type of like uh water fountainy type thing something that catches all the items moves them out to the middle in some way and we have some type of like I don’t know like we could do like a little like castle wall type

Thing that goes around underneath or we could do something that’s like a little I don’t know like a little like technological magical mystical type thing it’s like shooting a beam up as if it’s like levitating he’s up in the air and then like a little like keep house

Something in the middle I I have a lot of ideas for this but I don’t know which way I want to go so you got to let me know down in the comment section below next we’re gonna put impaling five on our tridents that way they do maximum

Amount of damage to the mobs in the water and those tridents they have been put to good use you see I’ve done some work here we set up some water streams and I want to explain to you how things are working here before we finish up you may

Remember the plan we shot all the items straight down they’re being shot down there BMI droppers that are underneath here getting sucked up by the hopper mine cart and the XP we had to move to the center so you can move XP just like you can move items you can move it

Across a water stream with some ice there really isolate needs to be in the gaps but I just put it everywhere anyways because I had plenty of it and I like the look of it better than anything else that I could use so we have water streams going through I just

Specifically counted it out so we could continue the XP moving and it it may look a little discombobulated up here but when we go look down from below you’ll see it is actually a repeating pattern so it looks kind of cool from below and everything leads out to here

You see the Redstone right here this is my on off switch so I don’t have to turn each one on and off at the actual Farm but instead I have a single on off switch here that has repeaters every so often to make sure the Redstone signal

Fits out there it gets out there I got rid of the entire deep slate platform here because we don’t need that anymore this is just simply an AFK spot and you’ll see if I go down here I turn off the lever here in just a few moments of

Strident Killers they’re killing all the mobs right now I have my looting three sword out that way I get the Looting effect as I sit here I guess wait for the XP to come in and you’ll see this first initial burst especially there’s so many mobs in there we’re gonna get

Drops falling into uh these chests here it’s just it’s just kind of gonna happen which is fine once the farm gets going you don’t really get too much of this coming through but it is why I set up the Hoppers and chests here just so anything that does happen to sneak

Through as the Farms get going we can easily collect it up as you can see that XP is coming in I have 86 levels now did not have that in the last scene well that’s because I’ve tested this thing out a couple times and it works

Phenomenally you get quite a lot of XP which is nice this will be a good place for the time being for us to mend up our stuff to get levels for enchanting if we need to do that anymore and that sort of thing now whenever I want to leave I’ll

Just flip the lever here so the tridents don’t get broken we will go down to the bottom here and take a look at a little problem that we have and that little problem is going to have to do with our storage I think I have yeah there it is

Some chest right here you see there’s items sitting up there yeah that’s because you get so many um non-stackable items in here it just fills up the chest too quickly so we’re not going to be able to do any kind of rate test today because I I need to

Build item sorters and all of that to do it and that’s going to be quite a lot of work it’s going to come into the next episode you can kind of see right here look at that it looks really cool I love the way that this looks and I think we

That catches the items and then moves them along a water stream to a center location it’ll be you know somewhere right dead center here of some type of large structure it’s going to actually be our storage room what type of theme should I do I’m pretty wide open to any

Kind of themes I’m thinking something magical because this kind of feels like magical or if it’s not magical it should be something like very futuristic maybe which may fit with the the shape of the towers as well and I’m interested to see what you guys come up with but for now
