Interior Decorating My House! Minecraft 1.16 Survival Let’s Play

Hey folks and welcome back to episode 308 of building with whip my minecraft survival world i’ve been loving building up different things across this world over the last while and recently we finished the exterior of this mansion here behind me now as promised on an earlier video i

Said if we had 8 000 likes on one of the videos which we did i would decorate the entire interior of the mansion so today we are going to be doing just that however to make this thing a little bit more interesting i wanted to share with you all my

Five rules of minecraft interior decorating and what i think about the entire way throughout it to help things feel a little bit more in line with this whole one over here we’ll dive into those a little bit more as we go throughout the episode but first and foremost i wanted to finish

Up the inn that we built inside of the last episode we started off this awesome one messing around with these mushroom blocks and came up with a really cool build palette for it but i left half of it unfinished because i didn’t know what i want to do on the other side

So let me get a few things here together and while i do that if you wouldn’t mind clicking that like button down below to help me out a bunch i would very much appreciate it but folks let’s get this episode rockin continuing on with the minecraft chores

For the day is i think i need to clean this area up back here it’s uh it’s a little busy we might be able to add but i would like to say if we check this shulker box over here look how many mushroom blocks i was able

To get we’ll be able to continue this style here for sure i think i might actually maybe we might be a little light on the stem blocks but i think we can get most of this in here so we might bring in a few brown mushroom blocks as that upper wall

Similar to how we did it down here but i think what would be great on this one folks is i’m gonna move all these shulker boxes over they should have everything we’re gonna need and let’s go ahead and kick this off in a little bit of a good old-fashioned

Time-lapse mode and get this thing built up now getting this build started over here i just first want to acknowledge how much of a mess this shulker box system looks like right now i don’t know why i carry that many blocks around with me everywhere i go

But i do and then i also still feel like i’m always missing things but anyways we’re getting on with this build over here i really like the end results of it it’s pretty cool i tried bringing in a little extra window bit over there and overall i liked the add-on of this

One compared to the last one but one thing i did want to ask you all is are there any questions that you have for me that i could maybe touch on or answer for regarding minecraft building in minecraft about myself or whatever it might be i’ve been seeing a lot of repeat questions

In the comments over on the twitch streams and things like that so i just wanted to formally open it up to leaving random comments down in or random questions that you all have down in the comment section below and if there’s a bunch of them if there’s a lot of questions on like

Building things in minecraft maybe we’ll do a video here in the near future on like build tips and things like that that i have that would be able to help you all out here but this roof is really weird coming back over into the build now

And i wanted to break it up on this final face by adding in a chimney in there because otherwise it just felt way off it just felt completely off but you can see kind of everything starting to come into here together the style really works out well for us

And i just spent a little bit more time fixing things up around the back doing a lot more things right here and here’s a full view of our in now and i think this is pretty awesome so let’s jump back in and finish it back

In here now you can see what i was talking about a little bit over here this part is it’s bothering me but i think we’ll leave it for now what i’ve also been working on since the time lapse finished is i came back throughout here and decorated out the this little garden

Area added in something over here we got a nice little well for ourselves some grassy bits some more shelving and things and then a nice little seating area we got a table some chairs and just some more stuff around here and i gotta say i am hooked on using these

Little things just hanging down just as the one wide one a lot of people said they could work as like hot peppers or something like that inside of the kitchen i think it’s a fantastic idea so definitely gonna use more of those in there but they’re just gonna hang in over here

On this trellis thing that being said next up i want to get over here to tackle in this guy but i got something to show you all first as mentioned i believe the last episode or maybe the one before that the nether hub got to the point where we

Could start exploding everything and well folks we have exploded some things i have been using a design by raiseworks i will try and leave a link to his channel in the description below but check this area out over here after we take this gas out of the way

You can see this little machine right here has taken all of this very quickly now i want to give you all a bit of a glimpse into how this thing actually functions it duplicates tnt and flies across the sky and does a lot of this exploding stuff and clears out everything

We fly on down here do a little f5 action you can see the insane scale of this entire thing for those who aren’t sure about what i’m doing in this project well i’m creating the most insane nether hub you could possibly think of that being said that also includes

Redoing this entire area once it’s cleared and opened up and the plan is if you’ve played skyrim you might be familiar with this zone called blackreach which is basically a giant underground cavern full of bioluminescent mushrooms and everything like that and it’s just it is insane looking so the plan is to

Be able to transform this entire thing into that basalt walls with like strips of magma going up them and everything that it should be insane that’s going to be one of the biggest projects i think i’ve ever done because we still have to go all the way over there

Rules of interior building that i try and follow every single time i’m doing these we’re gonna be building through the stuff in a few different stages here as we might be going through and it should turn out really really cool so rule number one that i would like to echo here is using

Two thick walls as you can see right here we have the brick and then on the inside is also the same brick right there but one thing that we can do to really add a lot more detail and do a form of like almost wallpaper is bringing things in along here and

Stacking them up on the inside and then like strip spruce you can bring in like that and it just makes the walls look a lot more detailed you can do a lot of things inside of there you can add furniture or different pieces you should have a lot more depth that

You can work with for example you could break this out put a diamond block there and you have a mirror built into the wall rule 1.5 over here is even if you’re leaving to go get more resources make sure you light up your area holy cow on that note i’m gonna get some

Two thick walls in here now this one right here is what i technically call rule three but because it comes better in order of how i’ve been building this thing it’s gonna be rule two at this point what i would say for the walls that you make for especially if you’re trying to

Decorate anything if you have two high walls and you put the ceiling right here you’re gonna have no space to do anything so the minimum that i say is you need one two three and a half blocks tall however in this case we’re going to give

Our for ourselves four and a half blocks tall which is going to be right in top but here so it really reveals the bottom of those dark oak double slabs that we have then bringing that out into here the reason why this is important is it

Allows you to do beams across here to make the roof look like more fortified and everything along those lines and it’s really really cool you can see i got the fireplaces in here we’ve got the two thick walls with some basalt at the bottom then bone blocks going all

The way up it makes the windows feel a lot more grand and then we have these cool little bits surrounding over here if you only had one thick walls going back to roll one you wouldn’t be able to do stuff like this but anyways that’s the way i’m

Working through it and then once i get this finished up we will be moving on to what was ruled to it and it’s now rule three i don’t know man what i do know though folks is i recently released my texture pack over on the curse forge page so if you want

That you can get it down to the link in the description down below it’s been updated it works i’m sorry some other people are saying it no longer works for them every single person who’s bug tested it has said it works if it doesn’t work for you

I don’t know how to help you and i’m sorry about that with the ceiling of the first floor in place and i forgot to put these guys right over here that leads me to rule two but technically now rule three of divide the rooms that you have into

Smaller rooms so they can all have their own purposes instead of having one giant open area having a few smaller areas that are cut off from each other unless you’re purposely intending it to be grand is much more of a natural approach this so we have kind of a front entry area in

Here maybe chairs and tables going around the fire and everything like that some sofas and just maybe a bookshelf over here or something over in that area some plants then over here we can maybe have a more of a study area some small place with a table and chairs for whoever

The admiral to come in here and live inside of this area and then coming up this way to the top we have another little small entry area in here divides itself up into its own room inside of here and then there’s another room inside of this point which has doorways to get

Outside bring yourselves over into these other structures and everything like that which brings me to another side point we’re at rule 3.5 out of 5. yes this is a technically five rules so far but i’m calling it 3.5 is once you’ve done these first three rules like that do it across

Every single room that you have this is going to be very very important before we get to rule number four so i would like to come into here now and i’m gonna get the floors of these things figured out all of these different ones set up

Ready to go and all that cool stuff so they’re pretty much at the point of where we can start building inside of them and then that’ll lead us to rule number four one great thing you can do after you finish putting in the walls and everything like that if you want to get

A good idea of what’s gonna go around this entire area here is leaving little signs outside the front doors for everything so we have some living quarters in here for the admiral we have a uh eating hall at edding hall it’s a meeting hall actually if you look behind the leaf

And then over here we have the kitchen slash dining hall area which is brand spanking new inside of here i’m really enjoying it and then we’ve got the little kitchen location back in there the lighthouse is going to be the lighthouse and we’ll figure that thing

Out as it’s going then over here we have the assistant’s home i figure more people would live in here than just the manor house owner and everything like that so they got their little place in here there’ll be some housing or rooms up in this area then we’ve got a

Big open area down here where they can chill and hang and they have their own spot to relax quick glimpse into the living quarters i went with something different inside of here i used some warped wood as well as some blue terracotta in here and it’s got two different floors too

It’s got a nice little fireplace down here unfortunately unfortunately the only way to get into the second floor of it right now is coming all the way through the meeting hall area then going up into here and this is where you get into the second floor room

Next thing that we’re gonna have to tackle though friends is in fact rule number four which we have already kind of touched on when we’ve been walking through here it’s adding variation to what each room is meant to be don’t just have everything be a bedroom in this case we have the kitchen

Dining hall area so we have our kitchen we’re gonna have that over there we need to have a cold storage room on top of all those things inside of here we’re gonna have a little bit of a games room hangout area then a few bedrooms up above

Inside of the meeting hall we’re gonna have a big table in here where they can meet around and discuss things we’re going to have a little bit more of a private office over here then maybe a bit more of a lounge up in this area and maybe another more

Private area where they can have some meetings inside of here obviously the bedroom area inside of this so maybe this is more of a private lounge for the admiral themselves and we just need variation we don’t want bedroom bedroom bedroom bedroom bedroom even add some areas for some closets and if you’re

Feeling spicy maybe throw in a bathroom those things are kind of hard to incorporate inside of minecraft at a small scale but just kind of everything along those lines we need to be able to do all of that stuff as that’s gonna be more or less the finishing touches along

The entire area inside of this place we need to deal with rule number five first we’re working around in a weird way on this whole build here rule number five is don’t leave the ceiling looking like that that’s not what we want a simple way to fix this and a

Simple thing you can do is simply bring in some planks and bring in some stairs you can do that along the entire way now you can turn the roof into something a little bit like this on the inside if you don’t want to add in an attic space

As this room is going to be very grand in here i feel like an attic is not too necessary then what i like to do after we get to this point is you can bring in a few cross beams just like this we’re gonna use some of

Our dark oak and i think it’ll give a great bit of a glimpse from down below and we do have a few of these spruce trap doors so we can throw these right in right around there and that just gives a sense of grandeur off of it now that we have

Chains and we have lanterns and everything inside the game you can hang those right down from there and you have some really cool chandeliers compared to this over here this guy right here is what i very much prefer and it gives you a much smoother canvas to work off of

So we can actually incorporate more different types of blocks as we’re going throughout if you want to get a little bit more artistic you could bring in something like this to avoid the harsh edge right here and i think it works out pretty well as you can see i’ve added a few

Concrete powder blocks into my inventory here and we’re going to go on with bonus rule of this case on this one i don’t even know how many roles we have six seven eight nine i don’t know somebody tell me how many rules i’ve stated today

But what i like to do in here is bring in something like this with concrete powder where we can plan out a room so maybe we come over here we use some blue as a nice way to create some furniture this can be like a couch for ourselves

We can have red being a little bit of like plants or something going on so we can get a plant there we get a plant in here then we have some more furniture right around the back point over here this is going to be something like that we could

Have like a little bit of a bench guy right over here we have a plant we have more plants because plants are always good and up here we have some more furniture going for ourselves or some some i don’t know some weird thing going on up here but that

Gives me at least a decent idea of what i need to bring in here to fill up this space instead of coming in here and be like hmm what stair would work perfectly for this couch i can at least say like well i’ve got these general ideas of mine and now i

Just need to fill the place maybe some composters down here put some leaves on top of that we do some barrels right in there we can do some of those honey block things over in here but that is the whole way this one works out here for for me folks that’s the way

That i do it but i will say i am awful when it comes to trying to walk you all through the process of interior decorating much beyond this type of thing here i just like to get it done because i hum and hot and repeat and destroy and take down in whatever

We want to say things all over the place while i’m building them so i will tell you all what folks it is time for me to interior decorate this entire mansion i’ll catch you all on the other side i’m going insane i really hope this has

Been worth it so far because we are halfway done at this point well we have two buildings done and i needed a bit of a break so the break here is that we are going to be walking through everything you all remember that we did

This one as a little bit of the concept in here and while things are very very different i’ve had to repair my electro twice at this point in time going back home and flying to papyrus picking up random things and bringing them back over here going up to the

Nordic village breeding with bees and making those things and oh my gosh i chose everything around here it’s going insane but this is what i have done so far we have yep it’s just this room no i’m kidding this whole house is done we’ve got a cool

Little front area inside of here i really like it just making different forms of cabinetry and different things going around here having some different shelving units and then inside of here we have the office i changed the floor from being the spruce so it just felt like something a little

Bit different so we have this small setup inside of here some random flower boxes with just bushes and things that goes all the way up to the top and this point where we’ve got this little section with some leaves and some storage and whatnot leading leads us up into the attic area

That we now have that i created this wasn’t even here at all beforehand and it’s got just a few storage crates and things like that up here some armor stands that you can place everything down on and then some sort of an extra lounge inside of here there’s a bunch of string

Around because i wanted to create some viny hanging things to connect the leaves and so that just kind of brings it instead of being a one pixel connection it helps that out a bunch and i didn’t want them growing all over the place if you see string everywhere that is why

So that’s all in here and then we’ve got the secondary more of the private meeting room if you want to have some serious conversations that’s the perfect spot for a ride over inside of here now the other building i decided to do something a little interesting with this one and turn it

Into a much more of a zen area using some wallpaper so we got kind of our blues in our what is this magenta terracottas brought in some candles over here so we have the soulfire candles on top of chains looking like a candlestick we got a nice little bell

For ourselves and then just the fireplace and everything like that looking pretty sweet didn’t do too much out here nope didn’t do anything then we’ve got a nice little front entry area over in this spot which has its own little stuff up here and we’ll go check that out but

Currently the only way to get up there is uh right through this point and heading on into the bedroom we’ve got this spot over here i don’t know why i chose the green beds i just thought they look kind of cool now we’ve got this the diamond block

Mirror as i mentioned as an example earlier in today’s episode it looks pretty cool back there just like a little area to get ready and everything and then we’ve got this cool stuff over here some more stuff going on added burch into the ceiling to help keep it lighter

Inside of here and then there’s two more beds up here for the kids or something like that and oh my gosh i need to take a seat down on this thing right here that has been everything i’ve been managing to accomplish so far oh i forgot to let you know i

Put in these chandeliers and check this little system out we got the change going up here chains up there and then they kind of connect inside that middle point and i made the chains also look like you’re coming down here and attaching into this so that’d be like where you would tie it

Off you could pull this up and down to raise these things up and down theoretically obviously it’s minecraft but that was a cool little bit of detail in here then we got like the elk horn and everything over there and the two structures that are left are

These ones right over here so we’ve got the assistance quarters and we’ve got the kitchen slash dining area so it’s time to get those done and then i think i’ll also uh do this one here as well because that’s not even close to being done yet well it’s been a

Long while since we last spoke i’ve had an outfit change i streamed for a while and finished all the interiors before that and then i was just like so strapped for time that i didn’t get back in here to be able to walk you all through and end off this

Video here so yeah that was pretty cool we built a lot of stuff there’s the walls over there they’re pretty much finished at this point so i’ll get a time lapse of that in the next episode showing that we did everything over there but where do we start let’s start

This building those two kind of work together now but over here we have what was the assistance quarters as we’re calling them i think and up here we’ve got a nice little seating area of course we divide up the rooms in here so we’ve got a small

Bedroom bunk bed in there then there’s another bed up in that place then over here we have another bed as well as some storage and stuff in there i started popping out a few little windows so the outside of the structures are actually just a little different now as well

And then down here we have another little spot for them to chill and everything kind of a hangout spot way to heat the area with a smoker so i actually had a little bit of a chimney on the top too and that is that entire building which is looking sweet

Then coming over here one of my ones that i am so excited about i think this might be my favorite this is the dining room i added in one of my ender dragon heads and that thing’s looking awesome we’ve got all this stuff figured out inside of here that whole thing’s over

There a little storage area for ourselves and then we have the kitchen here in the back and it’s very very cool i love this this is so so cozy back here it’s very cramped the stewpot is a little higher than i want it to be

I would love to be able to lower that somehow and get the fire down another one but i think it just works better as is like that then we’ve got everything over here it’s looking pretty good nice little workspace i cut this out as much as i possibly could

Anything further back here is just straight into the air on all four of those blocks so we can’t move that further back at all we’ve got our hot peppers hanging down here and it’s looking pretty sweet i didn’t really throw anything on here these are all composters using that

Hidden wood texture i thought it was a cool little top for ourselves and that’s the entire dining room area that we have right now in order to get into the upstairs of this building we actually have to go through the lighthouse inside the lighthouse it’s very cramped

In here we’ve got a nice little bit of a walkway to get yourselves up a little staircase then the ladder will take you all the way up to the top inside of here i turned it into a bit of a library area quiet place to hang out not really too

Much of living quarters just something here like this lots of bookshelves and all that good stuff because i made too many of them so i figured i’d fill the spot with it then up here we’ve just got kind of everything going on just a leftover rug we’ve got all these things

Going around and just i like this i think it worked out pretty well up here and finally coming up into this point we have the top of this here you kind of have to do a weird little shuffle right here and then you know like this and then you turn

And then it was working you know i do a little jump you can close that below yourself and you come all the way up here and you’re in the tippity top in it nice little place to hang out we got this thing which maybe you could turn it

Off and on i put a redstone lamp up there i don’t know why but i did and that is every single interior inside of this entire place i know i flew through these last ones here folks but this thing has taken me so long i’ve worked so many hours from this one

And now we actually have a chance to go use the bedroom for once probably the only time i’ll actually use this bed because you know i always just sleep on the go but you know we finished it so we might as well sleep in it at least once right
