Is It Good? Minecraft Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles DLC

Hello everybody and welcome to another video so if you didn’t know a brand new Minecraft you’ll see just released and it is a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles one so this is kind of a review of that and also basically just telling you what’s

In it and what it is and if it is worth getting the DLC itself is essentially a 3D beat a month created in Minecraft there are nine levels and nine bosses to fight also included in the DLC R16 skins obviously all four of the ninjas are

Included Leonardo Raphael Michelangelo and Donatello and are playable in the actual DLC world the other 12 Skins are not usable in the map but can be used in other Minecraft worlds here are the skin Now the last four are based off of the new film and this DLC is pretty clearly tie into that film’s release but the main map and every other character is based off of the 90s show which I’m glad personally because I don’t love the new

Film designs for all the characters and they definitely don’t translate very well into Minecraft plus the designs they actually used are much more iconic I will say it’s odd because in the map each of the Turtles has a 3D Shell but

Outside of it it’s flat which definitely doesn’t look as good but maybe that’s just a limitation that Minecraft has this DLC overall reminds me a lot of the TMNT Shredder’s revenge game this DLC reminds me a lot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shredders Revenge game that recently released but basically in

3D which is not a bad thing there’s a good variety in level design and enemies but the enemies despite being different don’t make much of a difference in actual gameplay mainly due to how easy they all are to defeat overall the map

Is way too easy and definitely should be a bit harder I know it’s not going to be dark souls or anything but it definitely could be harder in the actual map itself you’ll have a few different abilities and attacks you can do a jump attack a

Basic attack you can Dash you can double jump you can do a dash attack as well as Parry but there’s really no point doing the Perry because blocking attacks with how little damage enemies do it’s easier to just attack them instead

If we do get more DLCs like this I’d hopes they replace the block with a block counter and make it more difficult one interesting thing is when you start the map you get this screen which I’ve never seen before but it asks what

You’re playing on basically to optimize the experience which is great especially if you’re on worse Hardware like a phone and there’s an amazing feature included in the game called streamer mode a lot of games are adding this now but I’m

Glad it’s here because you can still have music on without getting in trouble with without getting in trouble if you’re making a video or live streaming also the music for DLC is actually really good it has a really nice retro

Vibe to it but I’ll also sounding like something you’re in a Ninja Turtle game now something I haven’t talked about yet is that this is a DLC that multiple people can play up to four people can play at once and if you’re alone you can

Even call in AI allies which is really unique and something I have never seen in any Minecraft DLC now one thing is both a good and bad thing and that is that all of four of the Turtles play the exact same way

Which is disappointing but it’s also a good thing because if you’re playing with others you don’t have to worry about not getting to be the best one or anything like that so if we ever get a TMNT DLC 2 I would like to see them be

Given each something you need to do even if they’re not all completely different there’s also the turtle’s van the Party Wagon included which is a good way to get around in some of the levels as well as a skateboard but the skateboard is

Only a bit faster than the turtles and it’s much faster just to just use jump attacks to move quickly one really cool thing with this DLC is all of the UI Edition for example at the top of the screen you have your health extra lives

And special attack meter shown and you can see every other players too which adds to the arcade feeling of the DLC there’s also some cut scenes but I will say the cutscenes sometimes last way too long just showing different

Angles of the exact same thing now this DLC does have to load a good amount but I didn’t mind it too much because there’s a lot of special animations that you get to watch while you wait there’s also a couple levels with Unique

Mechanics I really wish lasted longer specifically this surfing one now one thing I felt like was really missing from this DLC is Collectibles because there’s not really any sort of reason to continue playing it once you’ve gone through all the levels it would have been nice to have got a few Collectibles

Hidden throughout the level where maybe you get something if you collect them all you can also level up throughout all of the levels but basically you just get a level every time you complete uh level you level up so but all this does is

Just give you a couple extra hurricanes to throw or a longer special attack I also would have preferred to have gotten a few more skins included I mean you can see in the DLC that there’s a lot of enemies and you could have pretty easily

Just included some of those as extra skins I don’t know if there’s a limit on how many skins that they could put in the DLC also since the map is linear you don’t really get to explore a lot of actual New York but that’s not a big

Issue with me because it is meant to be a beetle month and it’s not meant to be a free roam experience overall I’d say the DLC is a good amount of fun especially for its price of eight dollars you can tell the developers

Cared about the property of TMNT and put a lot of love into the DLC and I hope we continue to get more DLCs like this I also would suggest if you do pick this up after playing this to check out the Batman DLC as well as it’s also really

Well made and if you’re looking for more Ninja Turtles then I would also suggest playing Shredder’s revenge now the Minecraft Marketplace has a really really bad reputation but it’s honestly for good reason they let basically I mean just recently one of the newest skin packs is literally just a knockoff

Of the spider-verse film like literally knock off Spider-Man and this honestly hurts Minecraft more than it helps at least in my opinion I mean when you’re adding that kind of stuff people aren’t going to be as willing to try out some

Good stuff which there actually is a lot of good stuff on this store for example the Minecraft Batman DLC a lot of the licensed DLCs are actually pretty good but people probably aren’t going to try them because of this Mojang and
