Hello everybody my name is marlo and today i’m going to be showing you how to build this ancient shrine in minecraft as you can see in the center of mine i have a beacon with the beam shooting right up through the middle and into the skies that is not needed but it Certainly does make the shrine look cooler so if you got a spare beacon or maybe just want to cover one up that’s already set up in your base feel free to include it into the build first things first let’s take a quick look at all of the materials you’re gonna need to build This shrine now just to keep the tutorial nice and simple we’re gonna build the main shrine out of stone bricks first and then go around later and add in all of the overgrown aspects of the build so the leaves the mossy blocks the vines all that sort of thing we’re gonna do Afterwards once you’ve picked out a location to make the shrine in the first thing we’re going to do is locate where we want the center of the build to be mine is going to be this hole right here which we can actually go ahead and fill In and just around us we’re going to make a three by three square using stairs facing inwards so we have something like this so as i said that’s going to be the center from each of these sides we can go up by one two and three four blocks on all four of those Sides just like that and in front of these outer blocks we just want to place in an upside down stair just like so now if we just come to one of the corners here we’re going to place down two full blocks next to the upside down stair then we’re gonna Have a stair next to those four blocks and then facing into the stair we’re gonna place down another stair so we have something like this and very simply we can just place a slab in the middle and then you can go around and fill in all of these blocks with stone bricks And as you may have guessed the next step is to do that three more times for the other three corners so we end up with this circle shape with this in place we can now go around and add in the pillows which are very simple there’s eight of them in total we’ll do Four at a time so the first thing to do is to come to the corners here where we have this slab and one in diagonally we want to place a chiseled stone brick on all of those blocks just like that so these are where four of the pillows are Going on top of those we just want to place in a stone brick wall and on top of that wall we’re going to place in a slab just like that super duper simple as for the other four pillars well we’re going to start off by placing a chiseled Block on top of all of the upside down stairs that we placed right at the beginning and on top of those once again we’re gonna place down four stone brick walls if i can try and click on all of them just like that then we’re gonna grab some stone brick Stairs and we’re gonna place them facing into the shrine so they all should be facing outwards but as we place them we want to be looking into the shrine just like that now we want to do the same thing this time facing outwards so we get a Different rotation in the stair so they should look like this at the moment and to finish them off since these are a little bit higher we just want to add a slab on the very top block and there we go that’s all of the pillows now we can Work on the center piece of the shrine and we actually need a couple of temporary blocks to do this and we’re just going to place them down here and here basically in two corners of the center just above these corner stairs and what we want to do next to these is Place down two upside down stairs facing inwards so when we get rid of those blocks we should have something that looks a little bit like this what we can then do is place down two more temporary blocks here and here and facing into this block we just want to Add in four upside down stairs going all the way across and then get rid of those two temporary blocks add in four brick walls on top of the upside down stairs and on top of the walls we’re gonna have ourselves four end rods the final thing To do before we can go around and mix in all of the other blocks is to just place down a couple of lanterns i know we have the end rods in the middle here producing lights and possibly the beacon beam but a little bit extra isn’t gonna Hurt so i’m just gonna place one here and one somewhere over here that should be a good spot so it doesn’t have to be exactly in those places just enough to light up the build so the first thing we’re going to do here is go around and Mix in all of these stone variants so the four that i’m using are crack stone bricks mossy stim bricks and the sight and stone now of course if you want to add in some other stone blocks like cobblestone or something like that feel free to do so but you basically just Want to go around and switch out some of the stone bricks for those variants of course not forgetting the slabs stairs and walls when possible you can also go around on the base of the shrine and mix in some slabs and stairs that way it looks like little pieces have broken off And fallen apart so we kind of got these little divots in the ground whilst we’re working on the bottom level here you can also mix in a couple of moss blocks you don’t have to but i think it looks really nice and now for the leaves and The vines so really all you want to do with the vines is place them on the blocks where you’re able to not all of them just some of them and let them kind of grow and do their own thing and if they get too much you can also cut them And stop the growth by placing string there as for the leaves you kind of want to place them in bushes so just kind of group a few of them together stacked up next to the pillows spread out across the floor it doesn’t have to be perfect Just place in some leaves and at last but not least we can place down our beacon now of course you’re gonna have to place down the blocks underneath whether that’s the little three by three or the full scale pyramid it’s entirely up to you but with that done your beacon Beam should be shooting right up through the middle high into the sky and we are done so i hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial thank you ever so much for watching and i will see you next time bye for now Video Information
