Thank you g’day folks it’s cortazarino and today I’m going to show you how to build this simple Japanese house so the idea behind this house is that it is a stock house so if you’ve built a Japanese town and you might have a castle a shrine and a Whole bunch of shops what do you actually need now is a whole bunch of houses for people to live in so the idea behind this house is that you can build it over and over just changing up small details like you might change the the type of roof you might use a different Type of deep slate on a different house on a third house you might lose the lanterns and change these bushes to flowers you could make the house slightly narrower or longer then before you know it you’ve got 10 different variations of this very simple design And even though it is simple it is super detailed if we come to the inside we’ve got a nice little symbol interior here and we’ve also got an upstairs where you can find a bedroom and a little seating area although if you’re just building these to make a whole bunch of houses in Your town you might want to leave out the top floor just to save yourself some time and that is it for the tour let’s get started on the tutorial and in case you’re wondering this is how the build looks without shaders and like always you can find a full materials list in The video description so to begin I want you to dig out a rectangle in the ground that is 11 blocks by 15 and just be mindful that our house is actually going to extend one block in each direction from this rectangle and once you’ve done That I want you to grab some coarse dirt and we’re going to fill all of this in okay now we’re going to dig out another rectangle just inside of this one and just like before we’re going to fill this in with coaster and once you’ve done that come along to a corner and We’re going to knock out those three blocks and these three blocks and we’ll fill these in with coarse dirt and I want you to do the exact same thing in all four corners and once you’ve finished that come along to one of the longer walls and we’re going to knock Out that grass block in the middle Place intercourse dirt and then on the opposite side we’re going to do the same thing so you should have a one two three four block gap on each side so the front of the building will be on one of our Longer walls so decide where the front will be for yours mine’s going to be right here so place a stone block at the front and in the same spot up the back wall we’re going to place a stripped dark oak log now come around to the side Walls on the grass in the corner we’ll do dark oak again and another one there one in the middle and Spruce blanks in between and we’ll do the exact same thing up this side so strip dark oak and Spruce planks then come along to the back of the building and we’re going to Run planks all the way along like so then looking from the front of the building we’re going to place Stone starting in the corner all the way up to that stripped dark oak and we’ll do the same thing here Stone all the way along we’ll place an extra one just like that And then in the corners we’ll go one two three four same thing here one two three and four now grab some Spruce stairs and starting against this Stone we’re going to place them upside down all the way along the front and finish in front of that stone then just next to that we’ll Do two Spruce slabs poking out each side and then all we’re going to do is run these Spruce slabs all the way around until we connect back at the front just like that okay come back to the front of your building and what we’re Going to do is look to the side here and against that final slab we’ll place an upside down Spruce stair and then skipping a block we’ll place a matching one like so and we’ll do the same thing up this end to upside down stairs and now we’re going to skip a block and Place another stair but this time it’s facing in the other direction and we’ll do the same thing right here so you can pause the video here and copy the exact same thing to the back wall and once you’ve done that we’re going to build similar designs on the side walls so Right here we’re going to place an upside down stair and skipping a block lace another and we’ll do the same thing up this end so you should have a three block gap between your middle stairs there so you can pause the video and build the exact same thing on the Opposite side and once you’ve got all your upside down stairs done what we’re going to do is starting in the corner we’re going to place a spruce slab there and we’re just going to run our slabs all the way around the building and once you’ve finished putting all your slabs Come around to one of these Corners where you can see we’ve got these three course dirt on each side on the last core stud there we’re going to place and the side walls and then on the other course dirt we’re going to place jungle leaves so so go ahead and do that in Each corner and just for a little bit of variety at the front of the building here I’m going to change that jungle Leaf out for a large Fern but you could mix in whatever plants you like and finally we’ve got this coarse dirt right there I’m going to place an inside on Top of that an inside wall and we’ll do another one on the back wall and staying on the back wall I’m going to add a little bit of extra detail so I’m going to knock out that block and place in some rooted dirt with a bit of grass Next to it then over here another rooted dirt and some grass and we’ll swing around to this side I’ll do a grass and another rooted dirt and then we’ll swing around to the front I’m just gonna place a rooted dirt right there and then for The final wall I’ll do a grass there and a rooted dirt okay come back to the front of your building and just diagonally from this stone block we’re gonna place two sea lanterns and then we’re going to skip two blocks and place another two now these do not have to be Sea lanterns you can use any light block that you like you can use Jacqueline’s or glowstone because we’re never gonna see them now we’re just going to fill in the floor with a mixture of stripped oak logs and Oak planks and you can do this in whatever random design that you like Or you can pause the video right here and copy what I’ve done okay now we’re going to come along to a shorter wall and where we’ve got this dark oak log in the middle we’re going to add eight more stripped dark Oaks so one two three four Five six seven eight and then on each side we’re going to stick another dark oak out with a sea lantern on the end and then you can add two more strip dark oak right there now on the inside of the building so if you’re standing above our Floor we just put in we’re going to Place Oak trap doors like that and then another two just like that so once you’ve done that go ahead and build the exact same thing on this side just remembering when you do your trapdoors come to the center of the building cover Up the sea lanterns there and then place them in that direction and staying with our stripped dark oak logs come along to this stone block and we’re gonna Place one two three four five six seven and then we’re going to do the exact same thing on top of each of these other dark Oak logs just add another seven to these and do that for each log so when you’re done you should be looking like this okay come back to the front of your building and we’re going to count four blocks here so one two three four on that fourth block we’re going to place Stripped dark oak logs in a little cross section just like that and then we can come around to the right hand side and what I want you to do is place four Spruce planks there then we’ll do another one and then grab a spruce trap door and place it like that so we’re Just throwing in a bit of extra detail into our Spruce planks but on this side we’re going to place six Spruce blanks and then we’ll put our stripped dark oak log across the top and the back wall is going to be very similar but this time I’m going to place my spruce trapdoor Right there and then once again we’re going to place our stripped dark oak logs all the way across the top and for the final wall I’m going to place my five blanks right there and then a trapdoor and for this section it’s just going to be six planks and then dark oak Across the top okay come to the inside of our building and wherever you can see Stone on the ground Place three white concrete above it so go ahead cover up all of our stone with three white concrete and once you’ve done that on each side grab some stripped dark oak And coming out each side of this stone block we’re going to run stripped dark oak so we run it all the way along and we’ll also come out from that stone block and run it along like that then grab some Spruce trap doors we’ll place four on that side turn around and we’ll Place four on that side and then we’ll also cover up the side of this concrete with three trap doors there and another three right here okay now we’re gonna put in some doors but we’re gonna need Timber three blocks against the dark Oaks I’ll place two there two against That dark oak and two right there and then we’ll come to the inside looking out we’re going to place oak doors so I’ll Place one right there another there one there and one right there so when we come to the outside it just means these temporary blocks have made our door Handles face in the correct directions see now you can remove those and just above our doors we’re going to Place Oak trapdoors so right here you’ll have to hold Shift Place it on the door and flick it up we’ll do the same for that one And one above that door and then you can come to the inside holding shift again will go one two three bird strap doors and flick them down and we’ll do the same thing right here just like that now looking from the front of the building we’re going to come along to this corner Over here and we’re gonna Place one two three letters and you can flick down that trapdoor and climb up to this level so in this Gap here I want you to place some white concrete and we’ll do the same in this Gap and then turn around And we’ll do the exact same thing on this side and then for the two longer walls it’s pretty simple we’re just going to fill up that Gap with white concrete the same right here and once you’ve done that we will also do that on the back wall right Here so when you’re done you should have your white concrete wrapping all the way around so now starting right on top of this Stone and right on top of the logs we’re going to make a half slab floor so we’re doing this with Spruce slabs and Just fill in the entire floor except for just above our ladder we still need to be able to get up there but everywhere else go ahead and fill it in and once that’s done you can come back to the outside of your building and on top of Each of these andesite walls we’re going to add one two three four Spruce fences so go ahead and do that all the way around your building okay now I want you to come around to the back wall and right here we’re going to place a spruce Fence with a lantern hanging from it and then a spruce fence gate now that’s the odd one out that’s the only one that looks like this everywhere else what we’re going to do is we’re going to connect our little pillar of fences there with two Spruce fence gates and We’re just connecting it to our building so we’re going to do that for every single one of these so when you’re done you should be looking like this with your one Lantern at the back but otherwise just fence gates all the way around now what we’re going to do is Holding shift this would be very tricky whoops put it in the wrong spot already we’re just going to run our fence gates all the way around like this now in the corners what we’re going to do is we’ll place two fence gates and then a fence In the corner so we can actually turn the corner like so and just underneath that fence in the corner we will hang lanterns but otherwise we just continue connecting all of these with our fence gates so when you’re done you should be looking just like this so now we’re going to Start putting in our roof and we’re going to begin with a polished deep slate slab and we’re going to place it right in the corner above our Lantern and you might find it easier to hold shift here but what we’re going to do is alternate between our polished deep Slate and the Deep slate tile slabs so just like this guys we’re going to run it all the way around the outside of the building so when you get to the corner you should have another polished slab and you can just turn the corner and keep going and once you’ve done that all The way around we’re just going to use the tile slabs this time so you might want to put a temporary one there one to the side and then you can break and replace that because we’re doing this line of slab herbs just a little bit higher than the last line but all we’re Going to do just run this all the way around the building and once you’ve done that we’re just going to repeat the exact same thing just up a little bit higher and once again we’re just using the tile slabs okay now we’re going to place some Spruce trap doors so come along to one of the shorter walls and what we’re going to do is starting next to that dark oak we’re going to place one two three and then look in this direction next to the dark oak one two three and You can flick all of those up and then go ahead and do the exact same thing on the opposite side and the two longer walls are pretty similar we’re going to start next to the dark oak but this time we’re placing one two three four five in each Direction Just like this and once again you will flick them all up so go ahead and do that on both of these longer walls so once you’ve got all your trapdoors in hold shift and place a deep slate tile slab against the top half of one of those trap doors and then we’re just Going to run these slabs all the way around the building just touching our trapdoors and once you’ve done that come along to the front of your building and in this corner here we’re going to place a polished deep slate slab and we’ll Place another one in that corner and Then on top we’re going to place a deep slate tile slab and run it all the way along and finish on top of the Polish slab just like that now just behind those slabs we just placed we’re going to place deep slate tile blocks so run them along just like that and then Behind These we’re going to add two lines of deep slate tiles stairs so we’re just going to run these all the way along like so finishing in the same spot as our slabs and blocks below so just go ahead fill this in and once you’ve done that go ahead and do the Exact same thing on this side so starting with our polished slabs in the corner and then tile slabs on top so once you’ve done that at the front and the back you can come along to the side walls and against our sea lanterns we’re going to place right way up deep slate Tiles stairs and then just above our trapdoors three deep slay tile slabs now in front of these Oak trap doors here what we’re going to do is Place upside down deep slay tile stairs just looking from the side and then a upside down tile stair right there with a polished Deep slate slab on top and then you can come around to this side and do do the exact same thing so two stairs three slabs two stairs upside down there one upside down there with a polished slab on top and then to finish the roof we’re just going to alternate between our Polished slabs and our tile slabs so when you’re done you’ll be looking like this and that is our roof 100 done so it’s time to start decorating and we’re going to begin on the outside so come along to the right hand side of the building and right here we’re going to Place a flower pot with a dead Bush and two flowering azalea leaves then grab a spruce trapdoor place it right there and flick it up then two Spruce fence gates and then another Spruce trap door from that direction and you can place two brown carpet on top and then we will Continue around to the back wall right here I’m gonna place a scaffolding with a flower pot and a flowering Azalea then we’ll knock out those two Spruce blanks place in dark oak blanks with dark oak slabs in front and then each side we’re going to do a dark oak trapdoor and then For this wall right here we’re gonna place a flower pot with a dead Bush and two flowering azalea leaves I’ll do a barrel facing straight up right there and another one on its side and now we can get started on the interior so I want you to come in this door and in This corner we’re going to place an armor stand and we’re just going to make a little sword stand here so just to the right of the armor stand we’ll place two chains and then on top of that sea lantern we’re going to place two Pistons like that then you can place a redstone Block there and then break that and your pistons and you’ve got your little armor stand sticking up like that with the chains and we’ll just put an end rod on top of the chains so it’s holding up a sword now you can grab a polished deep slate slabs we’ll place two in between Those two sea lanterns another two there and then polished Blackstone in the middle and then you can cover up your sea lanterns with light blue carpet so now we have a nice low Japanese table with some cushions all around now we can look to the back wall and place three Darker trap doors I’ll do a flower pot with Blue Orchid now I want to hang a lantern here but I don’t want it hanging from the beam above so I’m actually going to hold shift and place it onto that trapdoor then we’ll do a barrel lying on its side with a single chest And then next to our armor stand we’ll do a double chest and then over next to our ladder we’ll do a flower pot with a dead Bush and flowering azalea leaves and then you’ll just need a temporary block right there so we can place a painting right here and just choose Whichever one you like and that’s the one that I’m going to use so now our bottom floor is all done you can come up to the top floor and I’m going to look over to that far wall and right here I’m going to knock out those two slabs Another two another two and another two so in this corner we’ll place two smooth quartz blocks holding shift I’m going to place a cyan bed on the trap doors with another one right beside it then two smooth quartz slabs now just to the left of this bed I’m going to skip a block Then knock out that one and we’ll play some Spruce stairs like that then we’ll skip two blocks knock out that one and place Spruce stairs in the opposite direction and then you can put four Spruce trap doors on top so we’ve got a nice low table now grab stripped dark Oak wood this is the one with bark on every single side we’ll knock out that slab place it in the corner with a brewing stand on top and now we can stand on your table and look at the opposite wall here just in front of this dark oak little beam we’re Going to knock that out Place Another strip dark oak wood this time we’ll put two sea pickles on top each side of that will knock out a block and place a cake that’s a nice little cushion for a chair and just behind our cakes we’re going to Knock out the slab and place a spruce stair so now our little cushions have a little backrest okay you can look over to your bed and just above it right up here at the top we’re going to place a spruce fence you can hang a chain from That then we’ll do a flower pot with a flowering Azalea and up the opposite end of the building we are going to do the exact same thing now above our table here you can grab a spruce fence and just above the dark oak we’ll place our Fence there and you can hang a lantern and on the opposite wall I want you to place a temporary block right there and we’re gonna put in a painting I like the white one for this room just like that and that is the top floor all done and That is your entire house all done so thanks for watching guys I hope that took you no time at all to build it is a very pretty house for as simple as it is I’ve managed to throw in just enough detail to make it look really really cool Then remember just do change up little details here and there make some houses a little bit bigger or smaller and you can make yourself quite a few different buildings with this very simple base design so thanks for watching guys I’m Cortez Reno I’ll see you later Video Information
