Minecraft Java and Bedrock Edition are completely different from completely different weather fights where in Java you can spawn the wither underground and doing so in Bedrock would instantly kill you to being able to dye water and bone meal certain crops that aren’t able to be bone milled in Java these two Versions of the game have major differences such as invisible skins in Bedrock you can actually make your skin fully transparent and players will only know you’re there by the name over your head and this is impossible to do in Java the Java equivalent to this would Be like making your skin a log and hiding amongst trees but the ability to be completely invisible is something that only Bedrock players can do another major difference is that Java as most of you know to build a bridge you have to hold shift and right click on your Previously placed blocks to move but in Bedrock you don’t even have to look at the blocks you can just place them in air which is basically what people who spend their whole life on high pixel Bed Wars do anyway but a difference even bigger than this is the Wither fight I’m A Java player myself and didn’t believe people when they said the Bedrock wither is more difficult but oh my God it’s really difficult in Java to easily take out the Wither you typically spawn it underground and you can easily kill the Wither with no armor and just a bow but In Bedrock doing this would instantly kill you because the Bedrock wither destroys entire chunks at a time instantly killing you if you’re in the chunk of the Wither destroys the Bedrock wither also has twice the amount of Health as the jabbawither does and when the Bedrock wither is at half its Health It even spawns two wither skeletons to help it fight you I talked about this in a short video quite some time ago and found that the most effective way to kill the Wither is to just use a trident and keep slamming into it but in Java the best way to kill the Wither Yeah bedrock’s weather is definitely more difficult than this is a very minor but also incredibly cool difference between these versions are the trees in Java Edition the leaves never change colors no matter what but in Bedrock the leaves actually change to a white color when they’re in a biome that’s snowing Speaking of snowing even the snow layers work differently between versions and Bedrock if you mine a block with snow on it the snow is affected by gravity and will fall to the ground while in Java the snow just gets destroyed one of the biggest features that’s going to make Your eyes bulge out of your head in amazement forcing you to scream whoa this is crazy is that on Bedrock the characters blink yeah it’s pretty creepy they don’t do this in Java by the way this is really odd there’s even a difference between sheep in both of these versions and I Honestly wish that this feature was in Java so if you have sheep that are dyed in Java and you shear them the wool left on their bodies white even though their wool isn’t white but this isn’t a thing on Bedrock if you die a sheep a certain Color then Shira the wool left behind will be the exact same color it’s supposed to be which is a pretty cool small detail you can also use wool as fuel in a furnace in Java Edition but in Bedrock this doesn’t work at all in Bedrock Edition it’s actually way easier To get mob heads so if you don’t know you get mob heads from a supercharged creeper blowing up and killing other mobs and in Bedrock one supercharged creeper can make multiple mobs drop their head while in Java Edition no matter how many mobs die from the same supercharged creeper only one head will Drop a major and semi-niche difference that I recently learned has to do with how boats work on these two different versions and there’s actually two differences the first being that on Bedrock you can use a name tag on a boat don’t ask me why but the bigger Difference is that on Bedrock you can use a lead to pull the boat around this is something I really wish was in Java and would have helped me in episode 2 the hardcore series when I transported all my villagers to the nether but this is a great early game way to transport Villagers since all you have to do to get a lead is kill the wandering Trader if you remember how in the intro I talked about being able to dye water that isn’t click bait because I don’t do that but it’s actually real in Bedrock Minecraft when players fill a cauldron With a bucket of water they can use a die on that water to change the color believe it or not this does have a benefit other than looking really cool as players are able to dye their leather armor in this water now even though these two versions don’t have everything In common they do share one commonality and it’s possibly the best feature that they share and that is Viv SMP that’s right we interrupt this program to teach you about the best Minecraft server in existence of SMP with an economy shops auction houses teams cross-plane so much More join today on Bedrock a job in Minecraft at vivism b.net again that’s vivasmp.net and Bedrock users useport19132 now back to your regularly scheduled program if you play Java Minecraft then what I’m about to show you is shocking Better our players are probably confused right now in Bedrock you can bone meal sugar cane which is really odd to me since I’ve been playing Java forever this just doesn’t seem right and yeah in Java this isn’t possible you cannot bone meal sugar cane ah man look at my shulker box Yeah in Bedrock Edition players like they can die water can also die shulkers that’s right not the shulker boxes but the shulker mob itself in Java we cannot do this we can only change the color of the shulker boxes which is great for organization but Java cannot dye the mob And it makes me wonder why is this even a feature in Bedrock what’s the point of this now this next difference is in my opinion one of the major reasons why Java Edition is better than Bedrock I mean other than the game just looking a Lot smoother and that is the use of F3 in Java if you press the F3 key on your keyboard you’re able to open up a menu that lets you see the biome you’re in coordinates slide levels even durability of tools and chunk borders can be shown With this this is a major advantage and Bedrock players don’t have this at all which is really unfair another big difference is that on Java Edition there is a game mode called hardcore mode where your game is permanently set to the hardest difficulty and you only get One life top 10 anime questions of all time why does Bedrock not have have this I imagine this is super easy to code into the game by one person but Mojang has an entire team and this is still not in Bedrock which is insane even something as simple as fishing is Massively different in Bedrock Edition fishing rods have 384 durability where in Java fishing rods only have 64 durability of course Mojang had to pull a little troll on the Bedrock players for giving them this advantage and that is on Bedrock you cannot obtain puffer fish or tropical fish from fishing again why Speaking of durability the durability of crossbows is different between both versions as well but this time it’s in favor of java Edition Java crossbows have 465 durability and in Bedrock their durability is 464. yeah that one durability difference man Java is getting a massive Advantage here in Bedrock there’s an entire potion That is not available in Java and that is the potion of Decay this potion gives the player the withering effect armor stands are also different in both versions of the game and Java when you place an armor stand there are no arms but in Bedrock Edition the armor stand Has arms you can even Place items in these arms on Bedrock Edition to display them and if you put a glass on the armor stand you’re able to see through the water oh yeah Bedrock also has epic 4 and ID modes yeah this is what Minecraft is about out Java’s forest biome is Pretty basic just a bunch of trees all over the place but there is some variety in Bedrock because some of the trees are actually lying horizontally on the ground this is also making me realize that Bedrock actually has a lot more features than Java does so let’s talk About a feature on Bedrock that probably isn’t a feature and is more than likely just a bug that Mojang refuses to fix and that is the fire aspect enchanted book this book actually works the same way of flint and steel wood and can be used to light candles and light TNT Which is really strange and like I said before I think this is a bug not a feature but it still counts as a difference this even works if you have fire aspect on a sword you can light TNT light candles and you can even light unlit campfires in Bedrock there’s also A different crafting recipe for boats and Java to craft a bow all you need are five planks but in Bedrock you need five planks and a shovel now this is of course really annoying to have to craft a shovel every time you want to make a Bow but this does make sense as the boat does have a shovel on its side in the UI you also can’t stand on top of the boat like you can on Java unfortunately also unfortunately for Java players if you’re writing an end City and have a looting Three sword you won’t get more than one shulker shell from killing the shulker but in Bedrock you can get a ton of shells from one shulker using the Looting enchantment which is a really strange one I definitely think this feature should be in Java maps are way Cheaper to make in Bedrock Edition now if I’m in Java and I decide to make a map all I have to do is craft it with eight paper and a compass in the middle but no no no no no that’s too difficult for Bedrock because over there you just Need to place down a cartography table and one single piece of paper and boom map like what it’s insanely cheap on Bedrock also a big Advantage the Bedrock players have is that tridents have a significantly higher drop rate this is what happens when I kill five Trident in Java and the drop rate is not high at all whereas in Bedrock I’m getting a trident nearly every time I kill one these drowned which is insane this next difference is a pretty big one and a big reason why some players prefer Bedrock Edition over java and that is for the Simple reason that when you buy Minecraft Bedrock you know it will run as it’s already optimized for console and phone performance whereas if you have a horrible PC and you buy Java the only way you may be able to play the game is to lower your render distance significantly and lower all your Graphics as well because if you have a bad PC and tried to play with Max render distance like And subscribe Video Information
