JayceWasHere – How to Download and Install Minecraft Mods

In this video we’re going to go over how to install Minecraft mods now the very first step is to go to the website called curse Forge that I’ve Linked In the description and that will bring you right here and what we’re going to do is we’re going to select the game for

Minecraft from there we get a list of a ton of different mods that have been recently updated or recently added to mod packs and we’re just going to grab the get curse Forge app in the top right of the screen now this will bring you to the download page where you can either

Choose to download it on overwolf or download it as a standalone now I don’t use overwolf so I’m going to go ahead and download it as a standalone this will then open a save as folder where we can save an executable file to install curse Forge to the computer then I’m

Going to go ahead and open it up in my downloads folder and we’re going to double click on it to open it now this will bring up the curse Forge Windows installer option what we’re going to do is going to press next we’re going to make sure that we save our curse Forge

In the right location make sure you accept the terms and then press next next again and then it’s going to go ahead and install curse Forge for us okay so once the app is installed it looks something similar to this we’re going to go ahead and go into Minecraft

Now from there it will lead you to an installation page where you have to press either next and then continue to actually install the version of Minecraft for curse Forge to use on your computer then what you can do here is you can browse mod packs to choose mod

Packs that other people have created or you can choose to create your own custom profile and for this example I’m going to create my own custom profile so I can install any mod I want to the game I’m going to choose for the Minecraft version of

1.6.5 because that is the version that I want for this specific mod and it’s also going to be fabric because we’re going to install the mod called the origins mod once I press create it’s going to go ahead and start downloading the mod pack as well as the fabric API from there I

Can push the little puzzle piece to add more mods to this mod pack now I get a list of pretty much every mod I can possibly use in Minecraft and you could go through here and search for mods in this case I’m going to search for Origins and I’m going to push install

Then we could go back to the main page and push the orange play button now it’s going to update the Minecraft launcher and reinstall a fresh instance of Minecraft to your computer so that you can use the normal version of Minecraft without mods and the version of Minecraft with mods now that the

Minecraft launcher is open we have to relog in to your Minecraft account after you’ve logged in you could go ahead and push the green play button and it will load up and install Minecraft now that we have Minecraft opened and installed we can see that it says Minecraft

1.6.5 fabric modded and that’s how you know everything works correctly sometimes you get incompatibility errors where two mods simply cannot work together from there we can just join a single player world and see if everything works all right here we are so it looks like it did work it says

Choose your origin and of course if I wanted to delete this mod I could go back into curse forage and click the little trash can next to the mod but make sure you’re not running Minecraft when you do this so let’s take a look here I’m going to choose an origin I’ll
