[Applause] hey guys what’s up this is Joe Kraft and welcome back to another minecraft tutorial video today I’m gonna be showing you how to build the medieval fortress as you can see you right before your eyes you guys have been waiting for this build for a very long time so I Don’t want to keep you waiting any longer I am waiting for madness 64 to announce the winners of the church building contest and I don’t think I’ve won compared to some of the entries I’ve seen but either way it was a lot of fun to try out and I’ll be happy with Whatever the outcome is I also want to let you know that I am leaving to Miami in about 7 days which means I won’t be making any videos for about 2 weeks no big deal I’ll get back to making videos as soon as I get back and I’ll probably Post a video of my holiday anyway so I hope you guys enjoyed this build don’t forget to rate comment and subscribe I would much appreciate it if you do Right guys so this is a very big building so I might have to split it up into two videos but the initial shape is pretty straightforward so hopefully this won’t be too complicated so we’re gonna start with the base and make our way up to the top we’re gonna Start by cutting out three blocks from the ground and placing three blocks of oak wood straight across that’s gonna be the entrance then we’re going to grab some cobblestone and we’re gonna place one two three corners on each side so one two three then it’s gonna be one two Three four across a corner one two three four across a corner and then one two three four five so let’s do that on the other side it’s gonna be one two three four corner one two three four corner one two three four five that is the Front towers now we’re gonna do the back towers which is corner one two three four five Corner corner let’s do that corner one two three four five Corner now the back of the castle has this balcony bit so what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna place a corner like this one Two three one two three this back wall is five blocks so that’s one two three four five one two three four five Corner one two three four five and a corner I’m just gonna give you a bird’s eye view so I don’t want you to go I don’t want you Guys to make any mistakes So now you need to raise the platform an extra two blocks using cobblestone so now you do the same but this time we’re going to be using stone bricks and now finally to finish off this base we’re gonna add another three layers of cobblestone so that would be three Layers of cobblestone one layer of stone bricks and another three layers of cobblestone Right so that should be very very straightforward now for the entrance we are going to add two full blocks of cobblestone followed by three blocks of cobblestone wall on each side then three blocks of cobblestone just to fill this in and at the top just two blocks Straight across to join it and then using some cobblestone slab we’re gonna place it on each corner to create an archway now on this side we’re gonna do the exact same thing so two blocks of cobblestone three blocks of cobblestone wall full blocks to across and then the cobblestone slab and then What you can do is you can just place full blocks to fill that in and one to three blocks of fence and that would be the gate there we go so since you’re using the iron bars you might as well just punch out some windows right on top Of the stone brick full blocks I’ve basically just added a window on pretty much every side of this wall now using some cobblestone stairs we are gonna follow a pattern right across this top edge and we are gonna leave a one block gap obviously if you have a four side of The wall you can’t have a one block gap because that would be uneven so you’re just gonna bring it all the way across to the corner so same on this side and then it’s gonna be one block gaps ignore this bit because that is basically a Wall do the same on this side so cobblestone stairs or a two block gap and then one block gaps so this is what you should end up with now using some spruce wood slab we are going to fill in the remaining space basically Just like that also you might as well just replace all of the grass blocks for spruce wood slab you might also notice that once you remove the grass blocks you notice this row of the you need to replace this with cobblestone and basically once you just replace all of Those blocks you’re gonna fill this up with spruce wood slab so if I can just use a command yeah just like that and obviously that is the reason why you need to replace the dirt going back to some simple building just grab some stone bricks and go around this top edge As you can see I have already done it to save some time just place them right against the back of the cobblestone stairs and make your way all the way around till it meets up with this end again ignoring the back bit and what you Need to do is just raise this an extra four blocks so that’s one two three and four You extend this inside bit so one two three four five six seven just basically leaving an edge now using some cobblestone stairs we’re gonna place them right like this following the same pattern as we did before just basically leaving a one block gap now again we’re just gonna follow the pattern of Cobblestone stairs right underneath the ones that we just placed then using some full blocks of stone bricks we are gonna place them right on top of the cobblestone stairs and just to finish this off scrap some cobblestone and bring it right across along the side of This wall so now you can fill this in using some cobblestone wall And then underneath just place a block of stone brick slab now go back to some spruce wood and we are gonna add an extra row right across this top edge and now you can place one block of cobblestone here three blocks of cobblestone stairs right across that’s Three full block one to another three blocks one two three one two three one two three and the full block that’s going to be the entrance and this is just basically here for decoration now right on top of each stone brick we are gonna place a block of cobblestone Wall and two blocks of fence And using some spruce wood slab we are gonna make our way right across this edge making sure you stick to the fence And that is what you should end up with so using some cobblestone just raise these pillars up to the same level as the stone brick so that’s one two three four one two three four and one more time and then at the back just basically use some stone bricks to create a second Layer of wall so quite straightforward shouldn’t be complicated now before we finish off the roof which I’ve just realized there is a difference between the one I just built basically this one has the spruce wood right on top of the fence when this one just has the spruce wood extended an Extra block but it’s gonna look pretty much the same anyway but that will be up to you what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna grab some cobblestone stairs and just make our way around this top edge And then using some cobblestone we are gonna place it right on top of the cobblestone stairs and then over here we’re gonna have one two one two three one two three one two three and we are just basically placing a row of cobblestone full blocks where we have The three block gap and now we can just finish off the roof so grab some spruce wood slab and just make your way creating another layer I’m just obviously making sure you stick to the fence and then finish off by adding well just basically filling this in with full blocks of spruce woods So now that we have that done we can raise this with an extra row of cobblestone There we go now once again using some cobblestone we’re going to raise this back wall and extra two blocks so that it meets up with this top platform now over here you need to remove these three blocks that’s one two three it’s too much there sorry about that No big deal just make your way all the way across and again over here just remove this corner one two three and now that we have that done we’re gonna grab some cobblestone stairs and we’re gonna create this pattern over here so that’s just couple stone stairs all the way Across this outline and that can carry on along the inside up to there there we go right so then we’re gonna place two blocks of cobblestone wall over here followed by a full block of stone brick we’re gonna fill this in with some spruce wood then we’re gonna replace This block and this block we don’t need that and we don’t need this corner block either because that’s where the shade roof is gonna be and that is gonna be everything for part one of this tutorial video that’s pretty much about half the building it’s been quite a long video Very difficult to put together so I hope you guys enjoyed it I will try to upload part two as soon as I can I might do a part three for interior if it takes that long but we should be able to finish it for the next video so once Again thank you for watching stay tuned for part two and I shall see you next time this is Jarek rafts over and out You Video Information
