Julien Azelart – I Built A MOUNTAIN CAVE Nether Portal In 1.18 Hardcore Minecraft! (#3)

Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode  of hardcore minecraft on the rainy sunset of day   99 in this world in the last episode i constructed  this awesome looking wizard tower that houses my   enchanting table and to get the levels to enchant  things i made a zombie xp farm it’s now bright  

And early on day 100 and the tower feels like it’s  missing something and it could definitely use some   more details so i’m gonna head up there and try to  make it look awesome to add details i’m gonna need  

Lots of leaves vines moss blocks and bone meal  to help the moss spread this is a very unorthodox   way of cutting down trees you get rid of all  the leaves first and then chop down the stem all right that should hopefully  be enough now that i’m up here  

I’m gonna be adding some moss blocks  to this super bland looking surface   let’s see boom nice that’s already looking  really really good moss blocks are basically   free terraforming i don’t want to go  too crazy just a little bit of detailing

Awesome it’s looking much better and  now that we’re up here i’m gonna get   rid of these stairs too because  i don’t really like how it looks   wow this is looking so much nicer already  i’m gonna go ahead and add some leaves to  

The sides to kind of look like big large vines  that’ll hopefully break up the moss texture oh i am definitely liking how this is  turning out i might want to add a bit   more leaves along the side though but  it’s a bit unfortunate though because  

In this biome the leaves do turn kind  of a muted green color which is not as   pretty as the vibrant green but there’s  nothing we can do about it unfortunately so i’m just spamming some more like this

Now here is the hill somewhat completed i  also added a bit of leaves and vines around   the outside of the tower so hopefully those  will grow here in a little bit and make the   tower look a little bit more weathered because i  didn’t like how perfectly it was standing on top  

Of the mountain here this will definitely make  it look a lot nicer now for the front here it’s   also looking a little bit too flat so i bought  along some spruce wood and i think i’m going to  

Add some slabs here and kind of make a little  bit of a patio entryway so let’s get that done okay cool i think this is what i want it’s  kind of a little porch patio entryway here  

Let’s see how it looks from a distance okay  i think it looks pretty good let me know what   you guys think in the comments ow all right now  that this build is officially complete i want to  

Get started on a path that goes from my starter  house all the way up here and it’ll cut through   the jungle climb up the mountain and we’ll overall  make accessing this area a lot easier so to make  

The path i need to grab some spruce which i have  plenty of wait that’s not a water bucket oh i   didn’t have my water bucket equipped alright now  i’m not sure where i want the path exactly to go   but if it came around this side of  the mountain that would be pretty cool  

So i’m just gonna mark out a little area of paths i just went back to the house to collect some  stairs and some slabs so we can make a path   and check out the wizard tower nice it looks  pretty good it definitely stands out a lot  

More on the mountain and it looks like it  actually belongs there now if you guys have   any other suggestions please let me know in the  comments i’m going to be continuing this same path   design all the way up to the enchanting tower so  without further ado let’s get started on the path

All right so i just spent quite a bit of time  clearing out the forest and this is what i have   so far so we come along the path this way  it kind of makes a turn towards this area  

I’m planning on having some things along this path  down in the valley as well then it starts cutting   into the jungle over here and then it comes up  this big staircase makes a right-hand turn and  

Then a left-hand turn more staircases and this is  what i have done so far so on the edge of these   staircases i kind of want to add some framing  to make it look like it’s part of the mountain  

And i want to add maybe some logs on the side here  to kind of look like we cut into the mountain here   and we’re holding back the dirt so i’m going to  go back home and grab some more logs and i’m going  

To continue working on this path wow i just got  insanely jump scared this creeper i need my shield all right i’m here at the top and let’s continue  the path all the way up to the enchanting tower

All right so now we have a lovely spiral staircase  that makes its way up the steepest part of the   mountain and now it’s the final stretch  until we make it to the enchanting tower   now the path is almost entirely complete  i want to start adding some details  

Let’s see how this would look  maybe just maybe i don’t know   i don’t know all right i think i know what  i’m actually gonna do with this now i pushed   this whole thing back by one block and now i’m  gonna add some strip spruce logs on the side  

To hopefully make it look like we’re retaining  the earth back kind of like a retaining wall okay so i’m not sure how this looks  but i think it will suffice for now   time to continue adding detail to the  rest of the walkway and we definitely  

Have a lot of work to do on this  spiral staircase oh my gosh hello   this guy just came out of nowhere i actually got  jump scared let’s calm down here where is your   captain i would like to speak to him no captain  well let’s kill this enderman oh i’m scared ah

Okay that was a little too close for comfort  to be honest i won’t be doing that again   most of the detail work is done  and now it’s time to work on this   hideous spiral staircase and hopefully  make it look a little bit nicer  

I just added a bit of a framing and  now i think i’m gonna connect it up   to hopefully kind of frame it in and make it look  a little less ugly now how am i gonna do this  

I wasn’t liking how that center stripped oak  log was looking so i’m just gonna make it some   regular oak logs now what i think i’m gonna do  is frame the outside with some oak logs like this   and then underneath i’m  gonna use some spruce stairs

Then i think i’m gonna do it  once more right on this level this tree is kind of blocking the way but i think  it looks so much better i think i might add some   spruce fences right here just to kind of tie  it all in and make it seem a little bit safer  

The spiral staircase is all done and it looks  really really good now this is all done and i   have 57 levels i’m gonna go ahead and see  if i can get some good enchantments on my   tools but first i’m out of food so i  need to go eat and i’m not gonna eat  

My enchanted golden apple just yet hello  i’m really sorry to do this but i’m hungry wow look at the bathroom up here it looks  so good yo amazing it’s time to go up to the   enchanting tower and see if i can get some  enchantments on my tools i also bought the  

Rest of my diamonds in case we have to make  more tools and combine them so let’s go okay   what can we get on our tools with 57 levels let’s  try the sword first smite gross axe unbreaking  

Three okay i think i’m gonna test my luck let’s  see oh fortune bye-bye let’s try again efficiency   four okay that’s more like it just efficiency  four okay let’s make another axe and see if i   can get something else on this unbreaking three  please have efficiency efficiency four nice so we  

Can combine these two to get efficiency five  amazing sharpness four okay please looting   okay sweeping edge that’s not bad that’s not bad  i think i have another sharpness four book in here   amazing so we can combine these two together  and get a sharpness five sword perfect and i  

Can combine my axes to get an efficiency 5x let’s  make another diamond sword i’m rich it’s okay we   can afford it knock back two yes please yo looting  three let’s go that is amazing i think that  

Is almost my perfect sword do we like knockback  though name this sword in the comments for me guys   wow look at those enchantments we got an  amazing sword and a fairly decent axe all   ahead of 57 levels and whoa i’m at four  levels now oh this cave it’s right next  

To the enchanting tower what if we built our  nether portal right here set into the wall i   think that’d be super cool and then i can make  the nether kind of pouring out into this area   okay that’s the next goal for today make  ourselves an amazing nether portal look at me  

What am i doing i’m not even using the staircase  that i just spent the last two hours building all right as you just saw with that little replay  mod time lapse i went ahead and replanted all   of my crops fed all the animals and made a  couple new little fields that entire process  

Almost killed my entire diamond hoe that’s  crazy but now that our first project is done   i want to go into this cave right here and  see if i can make a cool looking nether portal  

And for that i’ll be needing a lot of obsidian  i’m going down to the mines so i can hopefully   find myself a lava lake to get myself an  insane amount of obsidian okay i’m curious   i want to test out my new sword hello zombie  you will be the first victim of the sword

Okay i like this a lot now if i remember  correctly it was just down here yes right here   and there should be a lava lake yes it is nice  this is where i also found that spider spawner   and the enchanted golden apple that i have  in my inventory it’s time for some obsidian

Efficiency 5 is going to make  this go so much faster let’s see   you okay so i cleared this down  all the way to bedrock and i got   whoa i got exactly three stacks of obsidian wow  i was not even planning for that let’s go back  

Up to the surface here okay let’s not fall  in lava though and let’s get building this   epic nether portal i was trying to get rid of  these extra eggs and i realized that i can just

Shoot them directly into the pen from here all  right i have all the obsidian that i’ll need and   i’m also bringing a bunch of copper because  i think i want to use copper in this build   not too sure how it’s gonna work but  i’m gonna bring it anyways just in case

Now that we’re at the cave i’m gonna get  it all lit up so no more mobs can spawn   whoa there’s a way bigger cave down here now i  think i want the portal to go right here there’s   a natural indentation in the mountain right  here and it’s perfectly flat i think i’m gonna  

Set it back a few blocks and then we can use this  already preset outline to frame our nether portal alright here i have the outline of  the nether portal it’s going to be   boxed inside of here so you’re not  going to be able to see any obsidian  

But if you view it from this angle then  you’ll be able to see just the portal   blocks which should look pretty cool let me  go ahead and start putting in the obsidian now yay okay now i just need a foot  and steel but i don’t have one

Okay flint and steel has been acquired let’s  see how this portal looks boom let’s see oh   i think it looks pretty good all right  the basic outline of the portal is done   and now i’m going to go into the nether and  collect up some nether blocks that i can use  

To detail the outside of the portal oh interesting  we got a different nether spawn and it looks like   it’s a little bit better than the other one let’s  use our silk touch pickaxe to get some netherrack   some gold ore and all the other blocks  that are found commonly in the nether

Come on gast let’s fight come on let’s go return to sender did you guys know that if  you crouch on magma you don’t take damage   let me know if you knew that in the comments  because in one of my other videos i was crouching  

On magma and not taking damage and people were  like damn he’s in creative mode or something   so i’m not sure if that’s common knowledge  or not all right it’s time to go back home   now for this i think i’m gonna make it so  it looks like the nether is kind of like  

Creeping out of the portal  so let’s get to building this alright so this is kind of what i have set up  here so far i think it looks pretty good i’m   gonna be hanging some glowstone from the  top later because it’s looking a little  

Bit dark right now but i think it’s time to  start adding some more details like auras okay it’s looking a lot better now that’s  pretty cool now what i think i’m gonna do now   is over here i’m gonna add a lava  waterfall that’s gonna look pretty cool  

Ah hello the captain from earlier wow wow  did i just one hit him wait okay this is   looking pretty good okay i have 10 buckets  and it’s time to go back to the nether let’s go home i’m scared just  in case i always have to have  

My god apple in my hotbar whenever i  go to the nether you can’t be too safe   cool now the lava waterfall is done and i think  it looks pretty good all right and now there’s  

Only one thing left to get and that is glowstone  for the ceiling so let’s go back into the nether   one last time and collect up the  glowstone that i’ll need hello   okay let’s see what it looks  like okay that is hideous  

That is absolutely hideous okay now how does this  look okay it looks somewhat better all right and   with that that’s our nether portal complete i  think it looks really good and i’ll definitely   be adding on to it some more once i find some more  nether biomes because right now i’ve only found a  

Basalt delta and another wastes maybe once i find  some crimson or warped forest i can add some trees   and other cool things to this nether area to make  it a whole complete nether room what do you guys

Okay i think it’s about time that we find our  first villager in this world the village that   is just over there is unfortunately abandoned  so there’s no villagers and no zombie villagers   so what i think i’m gonna do is cure a zombie  villager because i don’t wanna have to transport  

A villager for thousands and thousands of blocks  just to come over here so i’m gonna have to go   back to the nether find myself a fortress and  get some blaze powder hopefully i don’t die   oh a bastion and it’s a treasure bastion  too okay i am not ready to loot this right  

Now so i should definitely come back  later i really want this strider but   if i kill this zombified piglin then they’re  all coming for me maybe i just bridge across this is terrifying i really hope there’s a  fortress nearby because i don’t want to have  

To run for much longer after running around  in the nether for a bit i didn’t feel safe   wandering around on foot so i decided to come  home and try a different method of nether travel  

Okay i am very underprepared for the nether so i  think what i need to do is go and make myself a   fishing rod that way i can use a strider to get  around on lava because getting around on land  

That is way too scary and i am not ready for it  you know what while i’m up here might as well just   boom get rid of the bad omen only good omens  around here oh my god the chickens are cursed  

All right i’m back home and let’s make a fishing  rod that way we can get around a lot easier and   i also have a saddle perfect oh my god the  chickens are cursed okay here we are i am in  

Love with this area i think it looks so good  i need a warped fungus and i think i saw one   over here plenty of striders nearby too that’s  perfect ward fungus where you at there we go okay let’s make it amazing okay now i think i’m  gonna do something stupid but something maybe  

Smart at the same time if i just jump down with  the saddle in my hand then i think i should be   fine i can mlg strider i’m not sure if  i should do it okay here goes nothing   oh my gosh wow it actually worked let’s go

I fell into lava for a second but it  worked hopefully i don’t just burn to death   let’s go that was amazing a little bit scary hey  this boat has legs now we can navigate around the   nether so much faster fortress where are you  let’s go okay it’s pretty close to spawn too  

That’s nice all right now you mr strider this  is going to be your parking spot thank you for   your service i will be back to take you home  okay home is this way now we will never forget  

Okay we’re in a terrible fortress lots of horse  armor so it’s not that terrible diamond horse   armor nice oh this is the room with another  wart let’s go hello oh no my shield broke you’re kidding me no way that was  

Julien why why are you like this  okay now all i need is just one blaze retreat retreat ow be strategic there’s more spawning okay i’m gonna leave i  have seven blaze rods that’s more than enough   that was terrifying i did some  risky stuff in the nether today  

We left the fortress safely so all we need  is to get home safely and we’ll be fine   okay we made it back home we now have  two saddled striders and they’re both   chilling at home in their lava name these  two strider swimming in the comments please  

Okay wow another successful another trip honestly  i’m quite shocked my shield broke midway through   i almost fell to my death four times it was  overall chaos but we made it out alive and i have  

Seven blaze rods so i can use those to brew some  potions so we can finally get our first villager   let’s go ahead and get a quick the chickens  are cursed let’s go ahead and get a quick   brewing stand set up so i can go ahead and  start brewing these potions wait a second

Where are my brown mushrooms okay well it’s  back to the nether to get some brown mushrooms all right i’m back and the brown  mushrooms have been acquired   as you may have noticed i put some white  glass on my house in between episodes  

But i also cleared out this area from the  farm that used to be here i think i’m gonna   repurpose it into a temporary brewing  station and let’s make a weakness potion okay now i just need two golden apples let’s  just make a bunch of golden apples let’s make  

As many as we possibly can boom the first  place i want to check is that abandoned   village over there i may have missed a couple  of zombie villagers who knows maybe they’re   trapped inside their houses hopefully  there is at least one over there for us

All the zombie villagers have sadly perished  my next plan of action is to just go down   in some caves and see if i can just wait  for one to spawn down to the caves we go oh i have been searching for so  long i kind of gave up finding  

A zombie villager because oh my god it’s so short that is the shortest pillager outpost i’ve ever  seen i gave up searching for zombie villagers so   now i’m searching for a regular village i’m  super far away what you’re joking it’s right here  

Wow i don’t think i’m gonna be transporting  these villagers traditionally i might actually   convert them to zombie villagers and then just  have them chase me the entire way home i’m not   sure if that’s gonna work but it’s worth a try  you you’re gonna be the one who’s gonna convert  

Whoa there’s so many kids here wow i’m gonna  trap you guys in here all right zombie come oh god no oh gosh oh my god do your work  zombie do your magic let’s go convert yay amazing okay we have two zombie  villagers we can murder this zombie  

We don’t need you anymore no no no no no no no  don’t burn please don’t burn this is a disaster   i accidentally murdered the entire village  well i guess it’s time to find another village after accidentally wiping  out that entire last village  

I finally found another village villagers  where are you come on buddy there we go our other villager sitting  and waiting to be rescued   alright so i need to make a staircase so i  could lure these villagers all the way up

I have devised an ingenious plan to get  these villagers all the way over here   i’m not sure how well it’s gonna work  but i think it’s a pretty smart plan   that’s ironic because as i’m saying smart  i’m speed bridging with no feather falling  

And without my water bucket in  my hot bar what am i thinking oh okay oh wow you can see the contraption from  here if you guys haven’t already guessed it i’m   gonna make a water elevator to get these villagers  up to a safe height and then transport them all  

The way along a nice flat stretch of stone using  boats and we should be good to go now let’s see   if we can get these villagers up here okay hit  boxes one went up the other one come on come on  

Go yay let’s go now i can transport them along  this little highway i created and get them back   over to the valley all right we’ve reached the end  of the road here and i think it’s safe to just go  

And jump off with the villagers that was so  much easier than having to lure them one by   one with beds also we haven’t named this valley  yet what should we name it let me know in the   comments boop i’ll leave one there and let’s  go get the other one the chickens are cursed

And just like that i have successfully  relocated two villagers to the valley   in the next episode i’ll get a  villager reader and zombification   station set up thank you guys so much for  watching today’s episode if you enjoyed it
