Jungle Statue & Hobbit Holes | Minecraft 1.16 Survival Let’s Play

Hello everyone and welcome to episode 29 of my let’s play series today being episode 29 is actually pretty important because it means that next episode is episode 30 and on episode 30 i’d like to give you all a world download giving it a world download is a pretty big deal

For me it’s not something that i do very often however i’m really excited to have all of you be able to explore the builds that i’ve done in this world there is however one area that could use a little bit of attention no it’s not the farm

Well it’s kinda is the iron farm but not today definitely not the village the jungle we haven’t really focused on the jungle in a minute so what do you say we head over there taking a flight to get a good perspective of this entire area and honestly it’s coming along pretty good i

Like what we’re doing in this temple area but to be honest our little kind of village over here isn’t actually a village at all although it is very cute i do really like what we have going on over here it’s just it’s tiny we need more we need to expand

We need to explore the jungle even more so that is what we are going to do in today’s episode we’re going to actually start off today by making a very very important connection if i head right over this way towards this bay we should at some point come across ah

Yes the shipwreck and the hut that down there that’s my portal and this is a shipwreck and a hut where we have like a research area for the nether this is a beautiful little cove and it’s kind of really near my treehouse area i was

Thinking what we could do to make it a little bit easier to get here on foot without having to necessarily take a boat all the way around is to make just a little path i don’t know exactly how this would work but i imagined something kind of winding into some huts around

Here and kind of just heading off this way i don’t i don’t know i think we gotta do a little bit of clearing of ground before i can figure it out so uh let me take a second here and kind of map this now seems like a great time for a time

Lapse let’s do it Pathway is complete and i think that it’s looking pretty good i mean obviously we need to decorate it but in general we can walk all the way along here and kind of see this entire little bay out here and approach our little hut this is perfect it means everything’s

Accessible on foot which i love but now it’s time to move on to the much more challenging project of the actual little village out here which i want to be partially in the trees and partially on land and although i’ve kind of established the style out here already i

Would like to expand it a little more it’s kind of a question of how i want to expand this and where i want to expand it too right i don’t really want to go too far out this way that’s the pirate area right there and i kind of like this

Section of bush kind of dividing that i also don’t really want to go this way because it’s getting too close to the bills that we have over here so that kind of leads this way which we have the jungle runs over there or this way right here and i think i kind of

Like the idea for now of us traveling this way because there’s this beautiful little hill let me show you right look at this we’ve got these super tall trees right here and then over this hill there’s so much real estate for building the only problem is it’s completely covered in

Trees so i’m gonna get to work now and take down all of these kind of leaves and stuff so we can get building i think that this looks quite a bit better and there’s so much room for activities now i love it there is just one problem

Though it’s not very easy to get over to the side of this jungle so unfortunately although i’ve spent the majority of this episode making paths so far um we’re gonna make another path i think a path wrapping around this farm and heading over to that side of the jungle would

Look great so i’m gonna get the materials for that gathered now first step gotta fill in this farm that i for some reason never finished don’t know what that’s about and more clearing of the jungle gosh it takes so long to clear a jungle kind of forgot how

Painful this is for real i’ve been clearing a jungle all episodes so far oh my gosh it’s not an easy task the next step is figuring out exactly how this is going to connect up so i think quite obviously it should probably just go right here something like that and then we can

Attach it to sort of these pillars just to maybe transition it a little bit nicer i don’t know i don’t know what i’m doing i’m just gonna place blocks until it looks okay does that look like hey that’s actually not a bad curve next up just a little bit of terraforming i want

To work with this natural cliff but i need it to be a little sharper then i think what i’m going to do is just extend this path the same height all the way along here and we’ll find some different structures over here to kind of connect it up to so

Although it doesn’t make sense or have a lot of context right now i’m hoping that in the future i’ll be able to kind of add that context in and of course the pillars to make it make sense structurally at least a little bit and this is much better such

A smooth little walkway over to the side of the jungle this is gonna look great with a bunch of bushes and rocks and all of the things along it so one trend that i was kind of going with into the mountainsides here was these sort of little holes now this one here is

Obviously just an entrance but i was thinking over on this side we could do something sort of inspired by that in this cliffside because well it’s kind of perfect for it i’m thinking this area up here is more established a nice building on it and then along here we maybe have

A couple of little hobbit holes now i’m well aware that some of you are going to have very strong opinions about this and i’m just going to remind you to be very kind i’ve been building hobbit holes in minecraft inspired by lord of the rings for a long time i absolutely love lord

Of the rings it’s my favorite series please remember that one group or single creator does not own the concept of hobbit holes um i’m not gonna copy anyone i promise i’m just i’m gonna do a little circle in here please be nice to me i just i like i

Like hobbits okay i think hobbit holes are super exciting to build and i’m really happy that i’ve chosen to do this because i think it’s gonna fit so well in here i do know that hobbit holes are done by a lot of creators so i do tend

To stray away from the bits combined with the fact that every time i do hobbit holes i get a lot of hate comments because obviously when a big creator takes on something or takes inspiration from a movie like this their fans are just going to think that they came up

With the design that’s totally normal i’m not mad about that but please please be nice please it’s all that masculine just some kindness we do have a cave here as well which i’m interested in exploring but also interested maybe doing something with this like maybe we could do like a

Little quarry right here that could be really cute a little quarry in the jungle as for the hobbit hole design itself i think this is pretty cute but i’m actually wanting to add a whole another layer to this at a maybe some mushroom block this block right here is

Probably one of my absolute favorites to build out of so we’ve definitely got to use some of it in the jungle i’m just layering my mushroom directly behind that to give it kind of an extra layer ah i really like that all right that is looking pretty cute i

Think we can even maybe do like a little window up here somehow i’m just gonna kind of layer on some dirt to make it a little bit steeper and hopefully get this to work i really wish it was possible for jungles to spawn without all of this extra foliage ah it’s so

Hard to get rid of such a pain to have leaves covering the entire ground and on top of that it’s kind of laggy so i’m gonna purposefully do it a little bit off-center up here i don’t know if this is gonna work exactly but i think it’ll be kind of

Cute to just have a window right here honestly that’s kind of a look i kinda like it it doesn’t have much context again i know but you know what not the worst thing that i’ve done not by far i kind of like it let’s do another one

Just right here also just to help it out a little bit some foliage that always helps things i feel okay these are super cute i think this is gonna look awesome with some more water features obviously i’m aware this does not exactly tie in with that theme yet

But remember we are doing on ground and in tree areas so all throughout this area we’re gonna have big trees going up and up above in the trees we’re gonna have more of these ladders and platforms and different areas bridges all of the things to kind of tie all of the pieces

Together so this is just a small piece of the puzzle but i’m pretty happy with it for today we’ll be back to work on this area soon but right now i have a new mission in mind the jungle temple area it’s absolutely beautiful but it is completely unfinished

Uh why is it unfinished right so i worked on the doorway a little bit more and i actually did texture it a little bit in a live stream but obviously it’s a long way off being completely ruined as it needs to be however the interior is even more of a crime because well

It’s not much of an interior now is it hello sir how are you doing yes there’s our mending villager we need more of these librarian villagers so i want to decorate this area to be kind of like a hub of information almost like a library but

Not quite it’s got like the villagers in it sort of working um i don’t know how to describe it but we need materials for these materials one of the main things i need is bookshelves because well librarians it just makes sense aesthetically the easiest way for me to

Get bookshelves right now is for me to head over to my strongholds so let’s go oh hello little slime this is a slime chunk how lucky i honestly i don’t think i’ve explored this entire thing whoa a ravine cuts right through it oh my gosh whoa what is that excuse me

I like how the game has made me a mob farm like thank you i guess cool there’s a chest up here oh impaling oh my gosh that’s kind of cool i’ll take that why have you got potion effects hello i found it oh my gosh finally gosh it’s surprisingly difficult to get back

Here right so i have silk touch on my axe and i am just going to be picking up a bunch of these bookshelves oh i really need to work on my inventory management skills i have collected three stacks of bookshelves i’m very pleased with myself but this room is looking a little

Strange now so i’m gonna leave and pretend that i didn’t do this it wasn’t me was not me back at the jungle temple now and it’s time for us to decide exactly what we’d like to do on the interior now obviously i have this space right here that kind of can’t be done

With yet because i need to keep converting villagers wherever a zombie down there to do that and i want to keep that zombie down there so i think we’ll do something back in this area right here and kind of prepare a couple more villagers for their trading journey i

Mainly want like this big central area and then on either side i think we’ll have like a smaller kind of inlet of that kind of right there maybe yeah i think that could be nice so i think i mainly want this like central area decorated with two little

Sides off of it hopefully it being symmetrical i don’t know exactly but this seems pretty cool so maybe let’s add a pillar right in the center here for some decor i’ve decided this pillar blocks the view way too much i gotta rethink one of the things that i want to decorate with in

This area is lecterns however i can’t use a lot of lecterns right now because some of the extra villagers down in the breeder might pick up the job so i’m gonna decorate with these later once we have all of our villagers in place and set on their traits all right this is

What i have so far honestly the bookshelves make all the difference with the pop of color but also this like shape with the pillars i’m gonna be doing that again kind of on this side over here and on the side over here of course but i do need to actually get the

Villager in place and make sure the villager is going to want to sit in this room and use this lectern this was surprisingly easy actually this this is fine dude you’re so cooperative i love it wow this mending villager is the easiest villager ever alright buddy that my friend is your new workstation

I hope you enjoy so in order to make that work i’m just gonna break this one i had the trade locked in already so that shouldn’t be a problem and it looks like he is having no trouble picking up that lectern and using it from the minecart so for now honestly i might

Leave them in the mine cart that sounds good to me that means i can now delete this little room that they were staying in these two sides right here are gonna be the same deal but this one is our mending one and they’ll have something else that i need

Like maybe silk touching on breaking or you know anything else useful you know what while we’re on the topic let’s just go get em let’s get some villagers in here this system is so weird you could totally tell it was built by a builder but

My gosh it works it works so well a pico buddy into your brand new home oh shoot do i have the stuff to convert wait um i’ve made an error buddy you hang tight oh wait no no i got it i got it it’s fine totally fine all under

Control i didn’t almost kill a villager it’s all good nope that wasn’t me ah yes the conversion chamber is working beautifully i’m i’m so sorry i’m so sorry but wow truly i’m very impressed with myself a buddy uh i need you to move oof please move all right our beautiful freshly

Converted friend here is gonna just skip into place yes siree all right beautiful thank you for that ouch ouch you’re so rude i suppose i am also rude but that does not make it okay i’ve started kind of texturing the ceiling a little bit here too and i’m

Gonna have these like ridges going across it with slabs i think that looks fantastic it makes it so much more epic and detailed i’m really pleased with how this is going all right another villager coming right up please thank you all right up you go you’re gonna be a

Librarian it’s gonna be great ah the lovely sounds a villager conversion right all right that was perfect thank you so much all right buddy don’t hurt me no no no no i just need you to get on the track gosh you’re not very nice that really hurts ouch

You sir had better behave or i’m about to rethink this conversion all right and we got our villager converted so i’m not going to lock in this villager it is a librarian but i don’t really want lure basically what i’ll do is i’ll split the enchants by picking up the lectern

And putting it back basically over and over and over until i get exactly what i want some people get really mad when i do that about the trades i had one person who told me that i was a bad influence to kids because i got my mending villager by picking up a lectern

But honestly it’s in the game it’s not something that they’ve patched or thought that they’re gonna patch so i don’t think of it as cheating and i guess that leads to the bigger conversation of what is cheating it’s a sandbox game so technically whatever rules i create in my world are

The only rules that exist in it so i’m okay with me breaking these jobs to get better traits i don’t think it’s super cheaty i don’t use that here that much i’m kind of op regardless of the villagers so i’m fine with it i think it

Makes for this cute little build that i get to work on but i know it’s not for everyone um however i’m not playing by everyone’s rules i’m i’m just playing by my own rules and playing by my own rules is exactly what makes the game fun for me

All right the finishing touch just to make this look a little bit fancier an emerald block oh my gosh that’s so fancy right as you walk in yes yes yes look at this right we walk up the pathway this is a mess but we walk up the pathway pretend there’s not

A bed there close the door come in bam oh my gosh and then there’s more trading halls over here we’re gonna have these walls of like barrels and supplies and stuff upstairs we’re gonna have our map room oh my gosh this is exciting this is good progress right well

Everyone is converted and doing great i’m gonna come back and play with these a little bit later for now though we have something else to work on and it’s actually right outside this door this temple a mess what why is it such a mess why ah so i can’t

Clean up all of it this for example kind of needs to stay because it’s connected up to the villager breeder but i can make a few changes out here that are really important so let’s get started with that right now i was actually just cleaning up and i

Had another idea for the interior that i really want to do now that i have an iron farm i can decorate with cauldrons wait look at this look at this oh my gosh ah yes that is exactly what was missing oh my goodness we need so many more of those i love them

I absolutely love them wow and speaking of cleaning up the chests are now moved so this area is much nicer and is ready to be properly worked on oh my gosh the beauty so here’s the thing i want to build in this area a statue and while i could

Come up with my own design for a statue i wanted to actually do something simple that all of you would be able to follow along with in your own worlds so i found a tutorial by this amazing youtuber i’m gonna pull up right now it’s gonna be

Linked down below and we’re just gonna follow along with that and create a statue in front of this temple so if you want to create one in your world you can follow along with their tutorial as well this tutorial is by someone by the name of gold robin i think that’s how it’s

Said i’m so sorry if i’m mispronouncing your channel name but it’ll be linked below just in case i did we are going to be building this statue on both sides kind of mirrored and i’m probably going to edit the design a little bit to customize it but let’s get started with the tutorial

First things first gotta figure out the placement of my statues i’ve decided on one right here and one right here these are going to be villager-shaped statues to kind of match with the design and of course i’m going to kind of ruin them a little bit to fit in even more

Hopefully this is a good placement i don’t know let’s go for it all right the next step of the tutorial is to just make another layer out front i’m doing them both at the same time that’s the very easiest way to keep them symmetrical is to just build them both

Up at the exact same time it’s actually so nice to follow a tutorial i haven’t followed one in a while and oh my gosh not having to think about building having this other youtuber kind of design it for me kind of nice i mean i love designing stuff don’t get me wrong

But i’m enjoying this and i love that we’ll all be able to have this in our world if we want it don’t worry i have learned i am using the stone cutter for my stairs and slabs and i love it so far i’m really in love with this design actually

It actually works so well it’s so cute it’s not done right okay let me finish okay i did it i kind of love them they’re so cute and i do think they add so much gold robin thank you so much for these tutorials it was actually really

Lovely to follow along with and it’s a super quick like one minute tutorial which is awesome thank you for those okay so now all i need to do is texture them get some vines all over them honestly they do need a little bit of contrast they don’t stand out as much as

They could but i think with some greenery around them that’ll help i’ve had an idea to give them a little bit more contrast i’m not sure how you are all going to feel about this but i’m going to do it anyway hello bees goodbye bees um should be yeah yeah we have some

Stuff down here that i can trade that’ll be perfect would you like some melons and some pumpkins there you go thank you so much wow i love trading with villagers it’s so easy so i have some emeralds and i’m thinking right emerald eyes what if our statues have emerald eyes we

Have so many emeralds and it’s not like we need them for anything else so all right so it’s a little goofy on an angle i don’t know if i actually like that but it’s a cool thought i think experimenting a little bit more to see

If i like the idea of a water feature oh you know what that might be the move i think that’s the move wow okay and since the eyes didn’t quite work out the exact way that i wanted them i’m just going to take those back and try again

Instead this time i’m gonna try almost like a crown on top just like that um maybe that’ll help there’s nothing a couple of good leaves can’t fix i’m convinced okay i kind of love it it looks so good with the water i think that’s such a good move we can have like

Streams connecting up to the river right here on both sides make it way more dramatic this is awesome i can’t wait to finish it completely but for right now i think that is great progress how do you all stay organized in your world i feel like that’s something that

I’m really struggling with to be honest i just ah i almost very rarely come back here and actually dump stuff off and so my shulker boxes are kind of a disaster like they’re it ah it’s a hot mess it’s not good it’s okay though i like to think that

I’m maybe sort of working on it but you know also probably not i’ve also realized i don’t do a very good job of distributing my ender chests like i i just don’t care that i own these but i have three of them right here so let’s

Let’s go around the world and kind of make some of these little banks right let’s get one in the temple i think it would look great in here anyways although i’m not sure exactly where it should go interesting question actually i think for now i’m probably just gonna tuck it

Off in one of these little rooms but maybe i’ll make a spot for it eventually there we go the next important kind of faraway place for an ender chest is definitely the witch’s side and oh my gosh i kind of forgot i decorated this area wow oh it’s so much better

Luna how are you doing i’m gonna pop an ender chest right there wow that’s great fantastic oh my gosh so whimsical look at the temple as i fly over oh my gosh those statues made such a big difference i actually love it and our new area right here with the hobbit

Holes oh wow wow wow i can’t wait to work in this jungle more it’s actually made me so excited for the project i was a little bit burnt out on this project i won’t lie just because initially when i moved from the village to here i got a pretty negative response

Like obviously there’s always the people who are not going to be able to be pleased but people didn’t really like me leaving the village so i stuck around a little longer but i think it’s time that we actually give this jungle area some love and i’m ready to do it

Honestly whether all of you like it or not i think i think you’re going to like what i do here and it’s gonna be awesome you just you gotta trust me you gotta trust me oh path there we go the final place that i’m going to stick an ender chest is right

In here i’m not exactly sure where this should go but i think and just like right here could be kind of a work area we need to have a respawn anchor and lodestone and stuff like that in this area i’ve not really played with that oh i’ve not really played with that stuff
